The only positives: food was okay and the waiter was nice. This was the first IHOP I ve ever been to that was completely empty when I walked in. Quickly realized why. Once seated, all I could hear was one of the employee s (host or mgr?) playing very loud videos on his cell phone in one of the guest booths. It was obnoxious. There is no restaurant music, so that s all I heard. And then he would stop only long enough if the waiter needed his help. After that, he and the cook played their own super loud music Latin music from the kitchen and chatted loudly. I normally like Latin music but this was not the correct setting and overall the atmosphere was unprofessional and uncomfortable. I left quickly after eating.

The last two times Ive been to this location I havent received service. On both occasions it wasnt busy. The first time I was never even seated after waiting at least 10 minutes. The staff knew I was there and never even acknowledged me. The second time I was seated, but never had my order taken after 30 minutes. The staff was fully aware i was waiting. This location has a complete disregard for certain customers. Maybe Im the wrong skin color.

I ordered a curbside pickup since I wasnt feeling too good and I didnt get too dressed up. I arrive at the Ihop and call the number once I get to a curbside parking spot and the lady on the phone tells me Im gonna have to come inside to get it. What is the point of even having curbside pickup if its not going to be curbside. I wouldve ordered somewhere else had I known I was going to be getting off anyways. She said it was because they were short staffed. I saw plenty of workers inside. Sounded like an older lady, it definitely was not the hostess I was on the phone with.

Poor service, the server came back to me after I ordered to say they were out of tomatoes for the salad, then came back and stated they had no french fries available, and when I received my meal there were no mushrooms in my sirloin tips, daughters chicken tenders were hard. We should have left like the couple next to us did, he ordered a hamburger and fries, they came back to tell him they were out of fries, they wont tell you that when you order. I guess you are to order a hamburger and broccoli...

Pancakes were great. I dont recommend the smoke sausage. Service was okay. Will be back to try again. My daughter loved the french toast. Sending customers to corporate to follow up on a bad experience is not a good response. Coaching the staff to be more attentive to the customers would be a better solution. Just my 2 cents. Bad Bad BAD!!!!! Not sure how you mess up anything on this menu but it was awful! Scrambled eggs looked strange almost like they were some sort of powdered substance. Gravy on biscuits and gravy were lumpy and had an off putting color. The rest of the meal just went down hill from there. I did complain to the waiter and he apologized and went on to tell me that the cook and manager had just got in to a physical fight!!!!! Hahaha IDK what else to say! Good Luck!!!

This experience was a whole nightmare. I ordered delivery. The order time kept increasing and exceeded the latest time arrival. It took so long, Uber eats had to find another driver. When I received my food, it was cold. The waffle was hard The bacon and hash browns were soggy. This does not reflect on the driver. She was great. She delivered as soon as it was ready. It took over an hour to prepare my food and it was cold. But yes Happy Mother s Day to me. I should have made my own breakfast.

We waited about 5 minutes to get seated, which isn t an issue but we re never greeted or told someone would be right with us. Employees made eye contact but chose to ignore us. Then after being seated we saw our server a total of 4 times. We he took our drinks, took our order, brought us our food, and then for payment. Felt ignored the entire time and they were not busy for us to have been ignored. I do not recommend the Nashville tenders and waffles. The sauce was awful and I couldn t get past the first bite and had to pay full price to only eat the waffle. That I had to scrape the disgusting sauce from because they placed the tenders on top of waffle. IHOP was one of our favorite dine in spots but we will not be visiting for a long time!!

Ate breakfast for dinner. Food was poorly cooked, not up to normal IHOP standards (I think we could have cooked it back their better than that haha--really dark or burnt pancakes wow). Waitress was great though, so service was great! Booth chair cushion was deeply ripped, restaurant is aging. The bill was very odd! Apparently this location does NOT honor standard nationwide IHOP deals and promotions, such as kids eat free in the evenings. Be aware when dining here that you may get a shock at checkout! We wont be back to this location; dishonest business practices are not something we support. Rockwall IHOP is now off our list, sad. Dennys it is now I guess or maybe Waffle House next door. Kid-friendliness: Does not honor the kids eat free IHOP national deal!

Super weird people. We came as a family with a baby in stroller. They showed us a table which was not very convenient. When we wanted to sit on a bench then they say it is fire coded. That was not true since the spot they showed us was not letting two other table not to live their table immediately. We had hard time to sit and start the ordering process. Ordered through Uber eats and once I got my order I realized some items were missing. I received regular pancakes instead of the cin-a-stack pancakes I ordered and did not receive the 2 orders of hashbrowns I ordered either. When my husband called to see if we would be able to come pick up our missing items from the restaurant, they stated they were out of both the items. Nobody called us to inform us of this before our order was delivered, didn t tell the driver to see if we wanted to substitute something else, nothing. Just allowed it to go out and I guess just hope we wouldn t say anything. Normally IHOP has great hot chocolate, but the hot chocolate we received was absolutely horrible and tasted like just hot water with a small amount of flavor (see picture).

Went for the wonka menu and we asked about the lemonade. The waiter informed us she doesn t even know how to make it and walked away didn t ask if we wanted it just walked away. Then when the food came she placed it down and walked away. Several things were missing from the items such as the chocolate sauce with my kids French toast which was the whole reason for coming, as well as gravy and other items from food. All drinks were empty and she never returned to ask how the food looked or if we needed anything I finally flagged her down after the men at the table where done eating and the kids were half done to ask for refills. She brought them and I informed her my dad wanted the chocolate tacos she yelled at us that we needed to wait as she had other tables. Several of the other tables looked at us when this happened and we could even hear one women tell another she just yelled at them. We finished eating our food and sat there for a bit then had to leave to go somewhere else so we walked to the front as we hadn t seen our waiter since. In front of the manager she informed us she made the pancakes when we asked and they were now ready my dad asked for them to go. I understand places get busy during the dinner rush. I never said anything about the missing chocolate sauce or gravy even though the chocolate sauce was something my son really wanted but being yelled at when asking for another item is something I didn t expect and ruined the entire meal.

We came into ihop around 9am for breakfast and our waitress did not provide good service. She looked like she was upset and made us feel a bit uncomfortable but we are not the ones to say something so we continue to order. Once we ordered and our food was brought to our table we asked for creamer which she never brought to us. We needed some coffee but she never came again to our table to ask if we needed anything else. She came to drop off the receipt and took our plates without even asking if we were done or if we needed anything else. We never experienced this type of service before. UPDATE 11.3.23: I was contacted by corporate and then the Asst GM. Because of my initial review (below this update). Asst GM apologized many times and was going to give me a full refund. Instead, we decided it was fair to try them again. We went today and asked for the Manager on Duty. It turned out to be the GM Nicki (sp?). She read the Asst GMs note and said our meal was on her. She wanted to hear the story of our previous experience. After a nice visit, we ordered our beverages and meal. WOW! What a difference. Service was excellent and fast. Our food was PERFECT in every way. Hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. One of the best breakfasts Ive ever had at an IHOP. I thank the entire staff for turning a bad situation good. It just takes a little communication. Now, I highly recommend this IHOP and will return. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Terrible, terrible service and food!! Only 8 people in the restaurant, including us. Gave our order to the server. Waited 45 minutes. FORTY FIVE MINUTES for our food to come out. AND of the only 3 tables there, we ordered first. The other two were served before us. We only had 2 people at our table. When our food did cone out, the server dropped my plate. Waited again for my food. Now, they forgot 3 items. Waited another 10 minutes to get the 3 items. THEN, as we were about to leave, the server brought out my wifes waffle. 1.5 HOURS after ordering it!!!! Heck, we forgot about it because of all the mistakes and ruckus. I know why our food was so late. One of the cooks, an African American guy, had to sing at the top of his lungs and dance to his songs instead of working. He was so loud. Not sure how THIS guy has a job. Also, not a manager to be found. On top of all that, they let some recovering methods addict come in and go table to table selling banana bread for some church and home in Far East Texas. What????? There is NOTHING comfortable about trying to eat a meal and have a solicitor cone to your table and hard sell you. You just cant make this stuff up!!!

Got caught up in the car chase/car crash in Rockwall. The police said it would take at least 2. hours to clear. Drove around till I found lHOP. I got it to go because the server gave me an alternative route to get to Dallas. The food was good, especially the link sausage and the hash browns. Hats off to the server.

This is the worst meal I have ever been made to pay for in my life! What happened #ihop? I order bacon & eggs with pancakes. The eggs were so raw You could see completely through the white. When I got almost completely threw eating my pancakes I noticed dried cheese cooked on my plate. Nothing I ordered had cheese in it or on it. Coming from the food service industry, I ALWAYS comped the meal! No questions asked. But today, I received a 20% discount off of my meal. IHOP, You should never just do what s right, You should Always do what s generous. You did neither!!

Overall, its a nice decent place to eat. Didnt have no issues really. Food was great, Service was awesome, clean area and so many choices on menu. Parking isnt all that great but no biggie. Would definitely go again here.

Would rate zero if I could. I used to have a great experience at this one, and I might with the morning shift, but the late night crew is awful. The last 3 times Ive been there is an older waitress with dark red hair and glasses, who is the absolute worst waitress Ive ever encountered and Ive been in the service industry so those are heavy words. She ignores customers, gets wrong orders, is extremely rude, and lies to their manager when they come around about what they said. The most recent visit that makes me wright this review was a problem of we walked in, waited for someone in the kitchen to tell a server to get to the people at the door (when its not even during a rush). When finally seated, in this awful servers area, we waited for over 10 min watching her slowly clear tables and stand around talking before even asked what we would like to drink. We were able to hear the table next to us use countless slurs and we had enough time to decide where to leave to actually get food!

Second time at this location, will be the last time. There seemed to be one server on duty, and we have had her both times we have been here. She is the older lady with glasses and red hair. The first time we were here, we waited 30+ minutes to order, while she was folding silverware and not acknowledging us. After our food was ready, it was sitting on the counter for another 15 minutes before she had it brought to us. When we asked for our cold cheese sticks to be remade, she had told us that they were fresh. The manager had to make her remake them herself, and she came out and said I don t want to, but my manager is making me apologize to you. Tonight we arrived about 10:55 and waited until 11:10 at our table before leaving due to nobody talking to us. She was clearing other tables, and then leaned up against the counter to talk to one of her friends before we walked out. I can t believe the service at this location by this server. One person can ruin an entire store.

We went on a Saturday morning, it was full but we still didnt have to wait to be seated. We did wait longer to get our food though. I ordered classic Benedict eggs, with potatoes, and bacon. The yolk was too well done, but the sauce was good. We also ordered pancakes which are the best. Our waiter was nice and she spoke English and Spanish.

The old lady working the right side of the restaurant on 9/23 at 11p was RUDE and unapologetic. Everything was the managers fault or another servers. But we won t talk about the dirty look we got when asked for extra syrup, the drinks that sat empty for 45 mins after asking multiple times for a refill, asking us if we could eat with our fingers when asking for silverware, lying multiple times about half the ticket being ready but she couldn t bring it but then our food wasn t ready and then delivered half the food anyways, was rude when we went our COLD food back, and when sitting down the tickets there was another rude remark made about how she fixed it cuz the manager didn t[with no discount for the hour wait on food], we originally needed to place a Togo order but wasn t asked about it again. We understand busy, we understand a kitchen being overwhelmed when large groups come in at once, we understand errors, we understand working multiple job codes. But behavior, dirty looks, and snide remarks are not okay. If a manager is made aware of a table [which apparently they was made aware per our lying server] with an hour long ticket and cold food being sent back they should of came and spoke to us. But nothing.

I ordered my food and waited as I was waiting I looked in the supposed to be clean coffee pot sitting on my table. The lid was there was no liquid coffee in it. However the build up of who knows what on the spout and grooves for screwing the kid in was nasty. Then I ate my food and paid the server came got my card I paid walk out. As I was walking I noticed the server went straight to food plate area and was touching people food with his bare hands! After touching my card and who knows what! Did not wash his hands before that. They noticed I was watching and stopped real fast like they knew what they were doing was wrong!

Ate here last weekend& their service was really good>> the table waiting, the food wait& waiter. Thank you Chris! :) you have alot of warmth and kindness. My daughter ordered Cali roasted turkey melt& a very tasty strawberry lemonade. I ordered the split decision breakfast, food was really good. I would say IHops coffee is the BEST! Im picky when it comes to coffee& I dont drink more than 1 cup of coffee& I drank 2, I actually wanted more, lol..LOVE their coffee
