My son and I had the most lovely visit today!! I sure didnt know wed get a full hour and explanation for eventing but I was so glad we did. Both ladies were SO friendly, great at involving my son, and so informative! What a little gem this place is! I will be back soon with my teenage daughter who is a huge history buff, she will love it.

From the moment you walk into this exceptional little Museum, you are greeted by a vast of knowledge from three incredibly dedicated and welcoming employees. They commence by escorting you and your children throughout their beautiful and wonderful exhibits. They are so kind and gentle with your children. These marecoulous women get your children engaged in the historical world of Roanoke, Texas. I felt like I traveled back in time. Best of all, our friends were allowed to participate and expand on their knowledge. All their questions were answered so patiently and the children were allowed to touch certain items and explore. The kindness of all these women blew my mind. They even hugged us without hesitation at the end of our unscheduled tour. Also, we are now in their Facebook page, so Yes, they made us famous. Please, please, go check out this time capsule. It a small Museum that packs a Huge Punch . Enjoy and dont forget to ask about their scavenger hunt!!! Thank you ladies, it was an experience we will never forget.

This place is amazing! We had a wonderful tour with a fantastic tour guide. My children ages 7-13 were absolutely engaged and learned a ton (my husband and I also had a great time.) The excitement and love for the community was contagious. Its only one room but it is full of interesting and unique items. My seven year old said it was the best Saturday ever! We spent a very happy hour there.

I happened to pop into this delightful museum today to get some brochures for my local Airbnb. What a pleasant surprises it was, a little hidden gem. I cant wait to have the time to go back there and fully explore. Stacey and Kelli the two curators were wonderful and their enthusiasm about Roanokes history was contagious. They got me all excited about this little town I have lived in for over 30 years. I recommend anyone who lives here, or is visiting the area pop in for a little tour, I am certainly going to suggest it to all my guests. Well worth the visit it.

A true hidden gem of Roanoke Historic District and the staff makes the place even better. If you visit after hours you may sneak to the second floor which used to be a brothel!! So scandalous, ask the young and very knowledgeable employee about all the details. This place is a must visit.
