Bangkok on Beltline is a regular on the date night rotation. The food is really great, the staff is very kind, and it feels upscale yet has really affordable prices. I love the atmosphere here. Special mention to the A/C system which feels turbocharged. That thing is the best thing on earth when its hot or humid outside!

Love Thai food and hospitality and this place is right on. Theres lots of Chinese in Richardson, but not enough Thai. The ambiance is really nice here. The staff is super friendly. In the beginning, the food was delicious and spiced just right, but lately the meals have been a little thin tasting. I say this because I hope they read this and get back to their roots! Their prices for a fried rice dish are just too high - it just rice! Their other prices are a little high, but not bad when their quality was so high. Get that taste back! And I will be back! Update July 2021: Had dinner here and it was very good. The wait staff were pleasant and professional. The appetizers beautiful and tasty. Really loved to crunch of the corn patties! The Pad Grapow was great. There are not many Thai restaurants in Richardson so Im very happy to have this one so close. Im adding some pics of the wonderful meal we had. Oh, and this place is always very clean. Update 10/10/2023: This is now a 5 star review. Im leaving the above comments, but the owner is right, the prices here are actually very good especially considering the quality of the food, service and cleanliness of the facility. Try the Glazed Noodles if you like the Pad Thai. They will blow your mind! That brown sauce is amazing. We eat in there a lot, but its also great for pickup and the food is always very hot and fresh. Also, the bathrooms are nice and clean. That is a very important factor for every place I rate as it generally indicates how clean everything is including kitchen! Good job guys. Update August 29th 2024 this place has just gotten better. Ordered the Thai style stir fry with minced chicken it comes with an egg on top it is fantastic! It is super keto friendly just dont eat the rice and there is plenty of food to fill you up so you dont need the rice. The spring rolls are fabulous and the chicken Pad Thai is always great. It is also always very clean and the staff are also very helpful and friendly. The only thing I dont like is the two handicap spots in front are taken by people who are just picking up food and are not handicapped it is a major inconvenience for people who are handicapped. You guys need to put a sign out there that says no parking here for pickup only for handicapped. My friend is handicapped and this was an issue

As someone who has gone to several afternoon teas, here s what we really enjoyed: 1. Service was great. I loved how polite and friendly our waitress was. She explained what tea we were being served and what each tier had. A true afternoon tea service experience. 2. The price point. Price was $45 per person( one of the more affordable teas in the area). A fair price given the amount of food but also factoring in that you re not paying for location. The restaurant is casual, but nice. 3. Food was good, not everything was my favorite but that s totally ok. I enjoyed trying new things- it s part of the experience! Our favorites were chicken satay sandwich, curry puffs, cranberry & white chocolate scone, macaroons, and mango mousse cake. I wish they would replace one of the other options with another sweet dessert. The desserts I listed were so good! I ll be keeping an eye out when there s a menu change, I m interested in what they come up with next!

My first time to have dinner at Bangkok at Beltline last night, March 20, 2024. Delicious food, beautiful plate presentation, excellent service, and nice tables with white cloth napkins and silverware. Let me share with you what menu items I ordered and how fresh, hot, and scrumptious they each were: 1. Thai Steamed Dumplings with a tasty sauce to dip 2. Crispy fried Corn Patties with a sweet and sour sauce topped with a few cucumbers and crushed peanuts and 3. Green Curry with white rice . I ordered my Curry medium spicy and it was so delicious! Fresh and hot! The white rice was molded into the shape of a butterfly with colorful orange strings of carrots and a spring of herbs leaves very nice touch! I enjoyed my dinner with a nice glass of Chardonnay! I will definitely return to this Thai restaurant! Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience!

Went in to try their Thai Tea Time, overall enjoyed the experience, the savory bites were yummy, didnt like every sweet but overall not bad for the price. The tea was also very good but I did not like that they didnt change your tea cup when you transitioned to a new tea flavor, got cross flavors from that, so we asked for new tea cups and they forgot to bring them, had to ask 3 times before they finally brought them, seemed almost like they were bothered we asked.

Came here for the Thai afternoon tea experience today! They only serve afternoon tea on Saturdays, and the start time is anytime 1-3pm (reservations only). Just a heads up that it s $39.95/person or $50/person including tax and tip. The menu is already preset, and it s a three tier course with a different kind of tea for each course. We had the pleasure of tasting the green tea, white pear tea, and Thai tea. Thai tea was paired with the sweets, and it worked especially well. Service and atmosphere are top tier! The server will explain the menu to you, and they re very attentive to refilling your tea. Overall very enjoyable experience!!!

We went there on Christmas evening around 5pm. 2 adults, 2 kids. When we arrived the place was almost empty. The food was okay, they had some dishes that you dont see at other thai places. Pad Thai was super sweet and soupy. Basil fried rice had barely any Basil and was very mild when we specifically asked for very spicy. All the other dishes were really sweet too. Service was HORRIBLE; the waitress in the Christmas tree outfit was mean. NO drink refills, NO cleaning of dirty dishes before more food was brought out, (the table was full of appetizer plates that are empty and they kept bringing the main entree and was about to put it on the dirty plates and I had to ask them to clean the table before they bring more food and maybe refill our waters), NO checking to see if food was okay or if we needed anything, and automatic 20% service charge for a family of 5, which was infuriating especially when there was no service. Tables were so close that the chairs behind us were literally touching our chairs. Everyone was seated on the same side of the restaurant close to the kitchen when the other half was completely empty. This was our first time and would not go back. Edit: just from the tone in the reply I could tell its the same mean waitress replying. Yes, we were given a big table but the kids wanted to sit on the more comfortable couches, we politely requested if you could change and we were told we couldnt combine the table if we want to sit at the table we preferred, so decided to sit on a four person table. Thats no excuse to put new food on dirty empty plates. It proves my point that you have been passive aggressively being mean. We got 5 waters and extra glasses for canned soda, we asked those extra glasses and one water to be taken away. Not all water.

Wanted to dine out for Thai on Christmas Day, with a party full of vegans and vegetarians (and some that eat everything) - small kids and adults. This place delivered excellently - the food, the atmosphere, the variety of options for everyone, and most pronounced, the service (thank you Peter!). We had a delicious meal and left feeling full and satisfied. Favorites were the crispy spring rolls (vegetarian), the drunken noodles (kids and adults both), a special tiger dish (can t remember the name but something with beef short rib maybe ), and the Tom Kha soup (made vegan). Looking forward to going again. Kid-friendliness: Can make anything mild, so kids were happy with noodles and rice.

They were preemptive with their customer service the entire time. Almost as if they were reading our minds lol We dined as a party of 6. The place was super cute!! The inside was adorable and had a little water fountain that my 1 year old was obsessed with The food was delicious. Presentation was great. Staff was extremely attentive. It was overall a wonderful experience. It s since been added as a family favorite of ours even though it s a bit further of a drive. We ve ordered take out a couple times since dining in about a month ago and the food is consistently wonderful. P.s. my husband and I s favorite is the Crying Tiger. A great place for Thai food, both in quality of dishes and atmosphere. Pros: - Everything Ive had here is very good. And I have had almost everything on the menu over the 5+ years Ive eaten here. - The atmosphere is pleasant. Modern without being cold, and the jazz music is a great background. Not too loud, not too soft. - Prices are very good. Less expensive than most other Asian places I frequent (and I love Asian food). - Service is consistently attentive and warm. New owner (as of mid-2023) was a server, and now owns! She and the team are very friendly. Cons: - Pretty consistently I have to ask for chopsticks. Id welcome it if the servers asked if I wanted them rather than assuming I am a fork and spoon person. In summary: Go! Good food, good atmosphere, good service.

High Tea, Anyone? A great place to enjoy intimate conversations with loved ones or BFFs over a cup or two. Dont let the mini servings fool you. By the time we got to the third tier it was time to throw in the towel. I think one of my favorites was the pink lychee rice pudding paired with the pear tea. And the price was definitely very reasonable compared to other high tea around the Metroplex. It was also Mothers Day weekend and they usually only serve high tea on Saturdays between 2pm to 4p but extended the hours to accommodate more during this special day. Amazing food and great service. I had been craving Khao Soi for a while and found this place. Unfortunately they do not have any Pork. Crab Rangoon was good as well. It was as all delicious. The service was super friendly, but a tiny bit slow due to being busy. Would definitely eat here again and wanting to try other items also.

I have ordered food from this place often and I love it, but today we had a tea service that was outstanding. The presentation from start to finish was beautiful and of course the food was amazing. They treated our party with impeccable service and made the experience one to remember. If you love Thai food and would like to book a tea service, book here, you will not be disappointed.

I love their Afternoon tea. I went for Christmas and hosted a private tea event for 25. Sky and the staff were amazing & everything was so tasty. I love the way they explain everything and how each tier comes with its own tea. I ve also eaten there for lunch everything was full of flavor and fresh.

This is our go to Thai place now. The Tom kha soup, Pad Thai and crab Rangoons are the freshest we ve ever eaten. The service is great. Prices are very reasonable. All of the desserts thus far have also been delicious. Their sticky rice is warm, and to me, it has a buttery flavor. We highly recommend Bangkok on Beltline. Vegetarian options: Tofu and veggie only options Kid-friendliness: They let kids in.

What a great place! We went there for the Thai tea on Saturday. It was so worth it! Beautiful presentation of food. Everything tasted so good I was sad when it was all over. Shout out to the tea though! I don t know how they do it but their teas were soo good and they constantly refilled your cup. I think they change up the menu so I definitely want to try it again! A great price compared to the usual British tea experiences :). Give it a try, it s worth it and the service was so sweet

Vegans and Vegetarians rejoice! So many options for you at Bangkok at Beltline. I usually get the red curry with tofu and no fish sauce, Thai spicy. I believe they will make just about any dish vegan by swapping out the meat for tofu. The service staff is always accommodating. Im not sure they believe me when I order Thai spicy as its not quite as spicy as Id like but they gladly give you a spicy kit on the side if you ask them. Thank you for feeding the veg heads Bangkok on Beltline!

I ve enjoyed getting take out from Bangkok at Beltline for years. Today I decided to dine in. I ordered the Thai Basil Stir Fry with chicken. Halfway through my meal, I found this insect floating in my food! I notified the waiter who apologized and brought me another but by then I had lost my appetite. They didn t even comp my meal. Never eating at this place again. No excuses for bugs in food!

Decided to try out this Thai place as it was close to where we needed to be. It was easy to find, not far from the hwy after you exit. Walked in and the lady greeted us and seated us quickly. She was super nice and took our drinks. She gave us a few mins to look over the menu. Later another waiter came and took our order as the lady was busy. He, too, was super nice and answered some of the questions that my husband had about his meal. I ordered the Beef Pad See Ew. It was pretty. Only thing was it was just a bit to sweet for me. Other than that, the flavor was good. My husband ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Dry. He said his was also good. Overall, it was a good experience. The price and service was great. Will definitely be back to try other things I have spotted on their menu.

Ordered to go as pick up. First time buyer.... Upon arrival I saw different sauces as I sat at the bar waiting for my order. I asked if I could have a sample of each with my order, which was chicken mussamon Curry and avocado spring rolls. Was told it would be in my carry out package. Once handed my to go order, I got home to open my package only to find the order specifically, and no napkins, no utensils, no sauces, no soy sauce, no anything extra other than the mussamon Curry with not a single piece of chicken, and the rolls. Both were average for what they were but not what I ordered nor expected. Overall experience wasnt what I ordered, service wasnt anything extra, and overall experience wasnt special or spectacular, so doubtful Id go back.

I have been to about 4-5 Thai places in Richardson but had never tried Bangkok Belt Line before. I am glad I tried. The place was very clean and pleasant calm atmosphere, even the rest room was spotlessly clean. The portion was big, even the kids meal, appetizer and dessert portion were huge. The price is decent, considering inflation today. The service was nice and SUPER FAST!! I agree with one of the reviewer said that the waiters were nice without being too bothersome like some American waiters. True, they were not overly chit chat, but attentive were there when you needed them. Will definitely go back to try some other menus.
