We were just trying to celebrate a big accomplishment for my senior graduating nusing students, and we were met with disappointment! Well, where do I even begin? If youre looking for a place to practice your patience and reflexes, MiCocina Richardson is the spot for you! As a regular of both casucal and fine dining establishments, I expected a pleasant evening at Mi Cocina Richardson. Oh, how I was wrong! First, we waited a whopping 25 minutes past our quoted time for our group of 8. Mind you, other big groups of 6-7 (who arrived after us) were waltzed to their tables first. And guess what? They were all Caucasian. We were not. Coincidence? We think not! When we finally got to our table, the server practically threw the silverware at us! We had to dodge these sharp instruments like it was a game of darts. Not exactly the kind of excitement we were looking for. To top it off, we were left parched for a solid 10 minutes without a beverage. And even when they finally remembered we existed, we still didn t have glasses to drink out of for another 5 minutes. Meanwhile, the table across from us (seated after us) was immediately greeted by the same server and swiftly served their drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Seriously, what gives? Mi Cocina Richardson, youve left us feeling more unwelcome than a hair in our guacamole. Never again!

Visited with 3 colleagues while in town for a conference. Two of our colleagues live in the area and recommended it. Food was okay, flavorful, and well prepared. Nothing special. We dined outside. Its in a shopping center so the view wasnt great, but we all liked the outdoors option. Everyone enjoyed their food. Drinks were expensive and small for what we paid. I had the fajitas. I wasnt impressed with the toppings included. Ive had better. I would not seek this place out when Im in town next though.

This is a great Mexican restaurant. Atmosphere, food and service. All excellent. There are many good servers here, my favorite is Ruben Rodriguez. He s the best in my opinion. There are many others that are fantastic. The management staff is friendly and accommodating as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for a meal or a margarita. I have been a frequent customer of Mi Cocina for several months, visiting the place with both my family and friends. Until recently, I have always enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and delicious food they offer. However, my last visit was quite disappointing and I felt the need to share my experience. We went to the restaurant with some friends, hoping to have a pleasant evening as usual. Unfortunately, we noticed that the atmosphere is no longer the same as on previous occasions. The most uncomfortable situation occurred when we witnessed an argument between a manager and an employee. It was an unpleasant and unprofessional scene that negatively affected our experience. I understand that restaurants can have difficult days, but as customers, we seek to enjoy a meal in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, not witness internal conflicts. I hope the management takes steps to improve the atmosphere and avoid similar situations in the future, as the restaurants potential is great and we have always appreciated the quality of its food.

Food and service were mediocre. Had to get my own water refilled. Queso was made with water. Chicken was so dry that it was tough to eat. Was not a good experience. For the price, should be 4 stars minimum.

Great Mexican food and service. This nice location next to Tom Thumb on Campbell at Coit in Richardson has done well for many years and is still very popular. It can get crowded and noisy at peek hours. Staff will kindly lower the music when asked. However, If you prefer a more quiet restaurant experience as we do, get there before or after peek hours. It has a nice covered patio area.

One of the nicer Mi Cocinas I have been to, we came around 10 PM, they close at 11, it was just us and one other couple, our server/waiter was very attentive, friendly, and quick. This location was great!!
