The park features a pond and gazebo, walking trails, and allows dogs on leashes. There are plenty of grassy areas for picnics and the gazebo has picnic benches. The kids playground is small but well-equipped and always has children playing. Its a great spot for family outings and outdoor fun.

The baseball field mounds are hot garbage. They need to spend some time getting them built up to be mounds. The concession stand was a joke. Had a world series and they didnt get there to ice down drinks until 8am when the first games started. The umpires we had were AWFUL! One guy didnt even know which hand balls and strikes went on.

I last visited here three years ago and the playground is still so-so for as big as the park grounds are. My purpose here was the trails, which there are plenty of trails here that weave in and along the trees and channel. Its a skirt bike ride, about 4.5-5 miles stretching it so probably better suited to walk or run. I ventured out for a bike ride because all the DORBA trails have been closed on account of the rains the past month. There were a dozen low spots with standing water and mud as much as four inches deep. These dont lead to a low rating, more the lack of maintenance around the park, covered pavilions, lackluster playground, and trash overflowing and looking up around the dumpster that always to not have been emptied in a month. On the plus, there are restroom facilities here, but I did not venture in to provide comments about.

Its should have stayed away from the park area of where the pavilion and kids area so they could play in that area. But all around really good park to come to and have fun.

Good park but very open. Came here to hike trails but it is pretty lack luster in that aspect. Trails mainly run across large open land without trees so kind of boring. Trails are nicely paved though. They have some lakes, playgrounds, soccer fields etc so its a good place if you are going there just to hangout.

Despite the fact that there is a city ordinance stating in clear terms that dogs MUST be on a 6ft leash , and the fact that there are literally signs everywhere around this park reminding visitors with this ordinance , I saw so many people walking their dogs off leash. It s extremely irresponsible and I can t walk my dogs in peace here when they can be charged by an aggressive dog any moment. The city needs to step up enforcement here. Dog-friendliness: Keep your dog on a leash!!

We have a funny memory of Breckenridge Park. It was during the pandemic and one of our family members had a drone. He was filming and taking pictures of us when it got caught in one of the trees. We did all we could to get it down but could not. We always joke that maybe one day we will find that drone again. Anyways we came by for geocaching and noticed that there is frisbee golf now too, which wasnt there before.

Glad to have a disc golf course in Richardson, Texas that is relatively fun to play. Is Dog friendly, great restrooms, playground is not an issue for DG play but some picnic areas might be potentially... However, the course design lacks creativity in that it misses what could be significantly better. Pin location(6) is in a spot where slow drainage and mud accumulation is an issue, particularly after it rains. Fairway(11) is an obvious low level water drainage and mud accumulation issue as well... a little thought into tweeking the course design could go a long way here. The same basic shot for holes 2 & 3 and not much different from the opening hole. Walking from 15 to 16s tee will be an issue for someone teeing off on hole 9 especially in tournament play.

Nice area, good walk around the lake. Hubs was fishing, didnt get much but was starting to get real hot out about 9am. So on our way out, we saw a turtle struggling. Turns out it was caught up and tangled in fishing line that someone ditched on the tree. Still had the weight and apparently a hook too. Because at further inspection this turtle had that small hook in deep in its mouth/throat. Didnt have a small enough pliers to help get it out. But was able to cut the line. Not sure how much life hell have with that hook in his mouth. please take care of your litter... Dog-friendliness: I see people walking their pets, and they take great care in picking up after them. As I didnt seen any poop. Definitely clean.
