I lucked out with my search for vegan options in the area while in town for business. This place was amazing! The vegan tacos were phenomenal. The red salsa and guacamole were very good but the green salsa was soooo good. Our waitress was super happy and took very good care of us.

This is a classic tale of over sold and underwhelmed. the chips and salsa came out, and the chips looked nice then crisp and fresh however they were still and unsalted. The salsa was BANGING! I ordered the two taco plate the first was a brisket which was described as slow cooked but not as descriptive as some of the other beef offerings. The waitress compelled me to order it so I went ahead and that was FIYA.. succulent flavorful. However, the garlic shrimp taco was gross!!! The some shrimp were overcooked and rubbery while other s were mushy. It was wayyy too sweet and i had to move half of the cilantro to get to the taco. The ambiance is wonderful and the staff very friendly

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Everything from the service to the food was terrific. Our waitress was kind and helped us in our ordering decisions as this was our first time visiting. Being from out of town, we thought wed try Taco Ocho as it was near our hotel and had great reviews. It is very deserving of the high praise and if we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely return. I highly recommend visiting if you are visiting or a local.

I cant say enough good things about this location of Taco Ocho. The staff is so friendly and accommodating (shoutout to Camilla). The food is always 10/10. Genuinely surprised by this location, it needs to be busier than it is! The server, Adriana was so kind and helpful about recommendations. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing, definitely in my top 3 best tacos weve had before. The jalapeno pork was so tasty and the beef colorado taco was also very good, but much spicier than the other tacos we got. Highly recommend!

Great queso! Chips were crispy. I got 3 tostadas: yucatan, azteca, and the americana. The yucatan was soggy- not an enjoyable tostada experience- no crunch. The azteca and americana need a better ratio of ingredients - both mostly featured lettuce with no real difference between the two. The azteca was supposed to have guacamole and the Americana was supposed to have corn - the amount was so minuscule that it was almost undetectable. Good queso, though.

I came here for their weekend brunch. It s a casual spot. I eat a vegetarian lifestyle and was so happy to see the multiple vegan/vegetarian options they had! I ordered the Revuelto Vegano and it was so delicious!! The sauce was so good, slightly sweet and savory dish. The portion was large and ended up with leftovers. Their drip coffee was good too, I usually drink my coffee black and didn t need to add creamer to it. Service was great and food came out quick. My server Camila was attentive and friendly. I spent under $20 for coffee + entree. They also provide free chips & salsa. Will come back again! Vegetarian options: They have vegan/vegetarian appetizers and main entrees. Lots of great vegan options. Most non-strictly vegan places struggle with breakfast items, but taco ochos vigas (vegan migas) tacos were really good. UPDATE Oct 2023: OK, its been too long but we did get back. Meeting in area so very good excuse to stop here for lunch beforehand. See photos of food and interior. OooRah! 1st visit to this location (2020). We have eaten at the one in Frisco many times and always got a good meal. I choose the two fish taco; cabo fish and shrimp. Virus prevention in effect with table separation and mask wearing required. Table service as opposed to going to counter. Waitress was very attentive to our order and requests. We had a great experience tonight from the attentiveness of wait staff to the delicious food. The Latin Love taco was a wonderful balance of the spicy beef and the sweet fried plantain! The Chicken Corn Elote taco was stuffed with well seasoned chicken which was paired with a delicious corn elote. Well priced with generous portions. My best friend and I arrived early to a birthday party and needed to kill some time so we dropped into Taco Ocho while waiting for our friends birthday party to start. WOW, so glad we dropped in! We had a great experience. Starting at our intro, Fernando was welcoming and had excellent customer service. He recommended the peach-mango Margarita and chips with guacamole, queso, and beans. Spot on!! The Margaritas were very tasty as were the chips, guacamole, queso, and beans. The restaurant was clean and vibrant. Drinks and food were reasonably priced. Our drop-in visit turned out to be the highlight. If youre looking for great Mexican food, and a great atmosphere and service, Taco Ocho is the spot!!

The restaurant provided outstanding food and exceptional customer service. Our group of about 10 was well taken care of by the attentive waitress, who quickly brought us drinks and chips. When one of our group members accidentally ordered the wrong item (me), the restaurant graciously replaced it on the house. Despite some picky eaters returning dishes(not due to them tasting bad, just wanting more sauce), the staff maintained a positive attitude and ensured that we were all satisfied. Delicious tacos at 1:30. I had veggie tacos made more in the Yucatecan style (one with corn and zucchini, one with plantains, guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro), but they have brisket, pork, fish. No doubt all wonderful. So not crowded when I was there on a rainy Monday. Fernando was an excellent, charming waiter. Pricey, but I think worth it. You can order a 1 taco plate I just found out. This is my husband and I s favorite brunch spot! The wait staff is always kind, and we especially love Whitman. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, always fresh, always wonderful!

Food was good, I just didnt understand why I couldnt exchange the refried black beans for regular black beans. I thought they didnt have regular black beans but my coworker ordered spinach and black beans enchiladas and there they were. Not sure if the hostess understood what I meant but was disappointed with the refried black beans. The Two Taco Plate would have been better with regular black beans but the Spinach and Black Bean Enchiladas were good.

I got a beef taco, a chicken taco, the Rico Ochoa, and the pura vida (both vegan. Let me tell you, the smell, I could not wait to dig in. I m not even a taco lover like that, and I m coming straight from Houston so all I know is Authentic Hispanic food. But these tacos MAN . . . .I am impressed!!!!!!!! Taco Ocho for the win

First, where do I find the menu? I walk up and had to dig under some junk to find one at the front desk while the lady watched me. No friendly greeting either. I look at the menu and start ordering not realizing theres another side... could have told me... The place smelled like it had sewage issues this day so I decided to get my order to go. Ordered tacos, which were delicious but wow were the chips and queso terrible. Chips were stale and the queso was runny. Perhaps the queso was intended to be like that? I have no idea but it was awful. Stay away from that on the menu. They charge over $6 for that, I should have asked for my money back. Id go back for the tacos but their menu needs to be clearly displayed, plumbing situation resolved, service needs improvement and reform their queso recipe. 3/5 stars

Phenomenal. Very delicious food. It has a Tex-Mex look but still maintains a good part of Mexican cuisine. I tried the Argentine brisket and my wife tried the chilaquiles. Everything came out very delicious and very good looking. Plus the camera was very friendly. He talked to us and interacted with our little one. We will return for sure.

Today was our first time coming to this place and Fernando made us feel at home and made sure we were very happy with the food and OMG I must say that fajita quesadilla was so good it makes you want to slap your momma. Let me take a min and brag about Fernando. He welcomed us at the door and helped us decide what to eat. OMG he made us feel so comfortable and I will be back bcuz he is so Awesome and he never rushed me. this is now one of my favorite spots to eat because of him!!!!

Weve been coming here for years. The food is always so consistent and delicious. Our entire family loves it because the ingredients are fresh and a healthier option than your typical Tex-Mex. Our daughter, who is vegan, has so many options here. The margaritas are so good too, even better than some fancier margaritas. The restaurant is always clean and the service is great. I cant say enough about this place. We dine in or pick up at least once a week and sometime on the weekends for brunch. If you havent tried, youre missing out.
