I ordered pancake tacos with a side of fruit favorite of mine. The fruit was not fresh. The tacos were very salty, the bacon was soggy and the eggs were not scrambled hard. The waiter was attentive, the vibe was completely off. Being a return guest I was highly disappointed. I paid for bad food because I could tell they are struggling. I hope it gets better.

First off the food here is great, regardless of what time you decide to come. (The place is open 24 hours.) Delicious breakfast and lunch options. My only complaints are 1. The Service, now my experiences are generally from coming in the middle of the night to eat so your mileage may vary depending on the time of day you show up, but the service tends to be rather lackluster and inconsistent, half of the times Ive gone the service has been strange, disjointed and unwelcoming, the other half theyve been very friendly and efficient. 2. The atmosphere, most recently (about mid-august 2024) at a approximately 4 in the morning, I was welcomed by blaringly loud rock music so loud that I could barely hold a conversation with the person I ate with, so I opted to move outside (where the music was barely any quieter thanks to the outside speakers.), as you could imagine this is a bit of an issue for an early morning cafe environment. As well as while sitting outside I could see someone in the distance constantly pacing, which has happened on other visits while sitting outside. Im unsure if hobos just do rounds around this place or if it was an employee of some kind but both of these things lead to less relaxing and kind of stressful visit. While the food is delicious the service and atmosphere hang in the balance.

First time I drank coffee here I drank plain coffee came again and Carolyn made me a coffee and it was 11/10. She showed me that I could blend 2 different coffees together!!! Its so lucky a spot like this with good food is open late. It was a total treat arriving late after traveling all day. I had no idea how it would taste, but the english muffin with egg and turkey was dynamite. The muffin was large, egg cooked perfect, turkey roasted and super flavorful. I munched on the leftover chorizo egg rolls for a couple mornings after and it made me super happy.

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years and for all that time, it is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is killer and the coffee is endless. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. While the building is old, it is very clean and well repaired. I like that whole atmosphere.

I love Cafe Brazil. I have ate at multiple of theirs Restaurants all over DFW. Every time we have to come up to the area we try to eat at one of them. The food is delicious! The laid back atmosphere is so great. I do wish they would work on the bathroom. Vegetarian options: Salads and others. Dietary restrictions: It is freshly cooked. They always have fresh vegetables and fruits. Parking: Good Kid-friendliness: We always have brought our kids. Wheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor.

When I say I devoured the chorizo crepes no crumbs left. Our server, I wish I kept the receipt to see her name, was AMAZING . She was so attentive, quick and nonstop smiling! The food options here are immaculate, their drinks omggg . I had been to cafe Brazil in Carrollton loooong time ago and wanted to go back. Love the staff here, they are always incredible. I enjoy mostly their breakfast options and their fruit pancrapes are more like dessert, but so worth it. The savory crepes are also wonderful. Migas are always a good go to as well, and the chorizo empanada is also a great option. And I usually get a slice of carrot cake to go.

The hostess was nice and at first we were very happy to hear her talk about how cute we were but after 10 minutes of her telling us the entire autobiography of her difficult life and dissatisfaction with her job we were looking for an escape. While she was still standing talking at our table the server came by and I looked at him for assistance - he nodded at me as if to say sucks to be you and I had to hunt him down outside on the patio sitting in a chair smoking to get our order in finally. There was no one but us in the restaurant but the tables were all filthy and the food took forever - my wife got a cold slab of what looked like bleached play doh with a thimble of gravy on top. This was their chicken fried steak. I got the chicken crepes which were fine. All in all it was just an odd and mildly unpleasant dining experience. I don t want to go back but if it s the only thing open, it wasn t bad enough to avoid entirely

The service has really gone downhill. Aside from Mary Jane, anytime I come in I feel completely unwanted. My wife works late, and I often dont get to eat until late, so cafe brazil was our staple, but lately either somethings forgotten, or Ive waited an hour and a half. Tonight I asked for a minute to look at the menu teen minutes later I have to find my service sitting down at a table having a conversation. Thats the last time Ill be in to either location near me for a while. Update: I went back in and it was a completely different experience. I believe Jordan took my carry out order, if I have his name wrong Im sorry, but he was great. Quick, engaging, and he called out the order as he bagged it and everything was perfect. Drinks and food is delicious but I feel like they can t get their service right. Our server got the order wrong and hadn t checked in on us ONCE and all the other staff just seem to stare and do nothing. I ve come to this location a good number of times and the only problem is just the service. Its frustrating being in a restaurant in a slow morning with full staff and have them always feel like its such an inconvenience to ask them for something. I love their food and drinks and its such a lovely place to eat but I would highly recommend going to a different location, I ve never had this problem in others.

Food was amazing, we frequent the place every couple weeks, weve made friends with Miss Caroline the coffee bar attendant. Tonight was different, the only server yelled at Miss Caroline for trying to tell the customers that were waiting on a table that it would be a bit because there was only one server. Miss Caroline also told us the server snapped at her for her trying to do her job. As Ive stated Miss Caroline is one of the best coffee bar attendants I know, she was being barred from greeting the customers like she usually does and was also told that she is not allowed to work the coffee bar. This was not acceptable. I will be returning to eat again, but if the server is the only one there again, I will be making a heel toe turn and leaving.

This place felt grungy. The bathroom smelled foul, my potatoes were still pretty raw, and the cinnamon toast was just white bread with a tiny bit of cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top lol. This is a Dallas area legend of a breakfast restaurant. I have been to Cafe Brazils various locations countless times in the past decades. I just made my last trip. I wont be returning. The past few times I have gone to Cafe Brazil, there has been no host or hostess to great or seat you. The waiters walk around and refuse to make eye contact for 10 to 15 minutes. This was the same today. Finally, after being seated, waiting another 10 minutes and having the same waiter who sat us (and played host) take our order. We then waited another 20 to 30 minutes, noticing other tables being served before us (who got there after us) and when our food arrived it was lukewarm at best (it really was cold). When we sent the food back and told the waiter that we were no longer interested in the food, we were handed a check for about $16 for our drinks and told sorry for the service and offered a $10 gift card, which we left at the table. We wont be coming back. If this had been the first time Ive had service difficulties recently, I would have just chalked it up to the waiter having a bad day. But thats not the case. This has been this way the last 3 times or so Ive gone to Cafe Brazil. Im a little sad and a little angry writing this review. This was one of my favorite breakfast chains in Dallas. Its sad to see something thats a shell of its former self, but Cafe Brazil has pretty much been this way since the COVID lockdowns. Its never recovered. Perhaps it never will.

OK place with rustic charm, but as I ate my breakfast, I watched the girl behind the counter wrapping utensils in napkins by grabbing the forks by the tines, putting her fingers all over the part of the fork that goes in your mouth. One of the worst dining experiences. We were seated all the way in the back and I am positive they forgot about us. The party that came in right after us finished eating and left before we even got water and our drinks (I asked for tea, so they just had to bring me a mug of hot water and a tea bag). It was about 20 minutes after we were seated that anyone even checked on us. When we eventually got our food, about 40 minutes after ordering, everyone in my group who ordered a hot dishs food was cold. I am sure it was just sitting in the kitchen forgotten. I asked for my food to be heated up, and when I got it back it tasted like food reheated in the microwave, not fresh. My toast was not toasted at all and completely soggy because they put it in the sauce from my crepes. Another member of my party asked for a substitition due to a dietary restriction and they made it incorrectly. Even aftet the mishaps they only checked on us once to see if we needed more water or anything else. I did raise my concerns when asked if everything was okay, and they did take about $2.50 off my bill. I am insulted that they tought that it would remedy the lack of awareness that we were even there and the fact that my food was not even freshly made. There was no apolgy and they never asked if they could do anything to improve the experience.

I stopped coming here about a year ago because never really had a great experience but I was here yesterday and today (4/17 & 4/18 ~ 9pm) to study with friends and was reminded why I stopped. Yesterday when I was here I got their smores latte and it was super cute, had graham cracker crumbles, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle and it tasted really good, but today I ordered the exact same drink and it was way different. It tasted like straight sugar syrup, it was a different color, and no toppings at all. I went up to the guy working and told him it was way different than what I had yesterday, it wasnt at all what I had expected, and wanted it removed from my tab. He said that he did it right and he wouldnt do anything about it and asked if I was sure I got it cold yesterday. Eventually he did take it off of my tab but put up an absurd amount of fight over it considering its just a latte. Before this he had a bothered attitude and would never come to our table, He would still go to the tables around us but anytime we wanted anything we would try to wave him down but always ended up having to go up to the counter for service. I dont think this represents Cafe Brazil as a whole (again - had a perfectly good time here last night) but I do think that they are understaffed and that their customer service is lacking.

You have 3 people behind the bar talking, drinking some kind of ice cream looking thing and two customers walked in. The elder lady was busy in the back room. Those customers stood there about 4 minutes. The 3 people behind the bar looked at the customers. They did not acknowledge them, didnt speak to them, didnt offer to help them and didnt make an effort to get the elder lady so she could help them. After each of the three wait staff made eye contact with potential customers, and did nothing, they left. And I dont blame them. Hire people that want to work and will help out when and where needed. This is terrible customer service. ----- 4 Service and food quality has improved greatly since last time I was here. Management is much better now, staff is friendlier and food comes out more timely. This little cafe is a hidden gem here in Dallas. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The best part though, THE FOOD!! It s absolutely AMAZING! The crepes are to die for. Sweet or savory! Both are hands down the best I ve ever had. The self serve coffe bar is the icing on the cake. Move over big breakfast chains. Cafe Brazil is where it s really at! It s a must try. I came in tonight 4/3/24, and I always receive poor treatment from the black dude with braids. I ve been in here for over an hour and he has yet to come and take my order. I watched him take everyone else s order even people that has came in after me. He won t even look me in the eye or acknowledge me. Moving forward, whenever I visit Cafe Brazil and I see him I m just going to turn around and leave. I d rather be treated fairly rather than sit at a table and receive no customer service at all. What s the point in giving me a menu if you re not going to take my order? I didn t even get a cup of water like other people received. I only receive this treatment from the tall black guy with braids. It never fails.

My dish was so delicious. I ordered the Breakfast Relleno as my food and an Iced Snickers Bar Latte. I had to do a little happy dance after the first bite. The service was also phenomenal, especially my server Mary. She was so attentive and friendly. I definitely will be back when Im in the state and area.

My group of 6 came in 30 minutes after 5am to have a meal before our fast. we explained to them how our religious obligations involve us starting the fast at exactly 6:25 and not only were they REALLY fast at delivering the food, they were incredibly kind and made us feel at home. Sierra and Carolyn especially made the experience wonderful. Carolyn took the time out to explain the weekly coffee menu and answered our questions in great detail. We left the place with full stomachs and significantly more knowledge in coffee beans. Sierra was super helpful and went beyond our expectations despite being near the end of her shift. This place is a winner.

I have been to this establishment a couple of times and historically the food and service were great. Today, however, I was extremely disappointed. The southwest chorizo rolls were my favorite thing on the menu by far and in the past they looked exactly as the menu would suggest. Imagine my surprise to see what was presented to us today*. Besides the unappetizing presentation on a bed of brown lettuce, the dish was also missing the Pico de gallo, salsa, and avocado ranch. If those items were unavailable then I wish our server would have let us know rather than expect us to pay for a dish missing half of the advertised ingredients. Additionally, the potatoes were cold and there was no jelly/jam available for the toast. Again, it would have been nice to know this was the case before ordering. The waiter was incredibly quiet so communication wasnt particularly efficient. Previous positive experiences and a decent food taste are the only reasons I have decided to withhold a one star review. Dont eat here if youre in a hurry. The food and coffee will keep you here a while. Excellent atmosphere for relaxing and having a nice conversation. The staff arent exactly the most efficient, but they are helpful and pleasant. You arent going to find a more relaxing breakfast 24/7.

Cafe Brazil has a lovely coffee bar in the morning allowing you to have unlimited coffee of different flavors and varieties. I had their chicken and waffles and my wife had their original breakfast with bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Everything was cooked well and had good flavor. The waffle was a little burnt on one side but still good. The service was good but also a little inattentive. This is a nice brunch place and the fact it is open 24/7 allows for you to enjoy it anytime.
