Overpriced and rude employees. $10 per person, per game, plus $6 shoe rental wow! This is easily 2x the price of newer much nicer establishments. Theres a reason the place is half empty on a Friday night. There are much better options in the area. The beauty of competition! Guy at the front desk has a serious attitude problem and zero concept of customer service. Save your money go literally anywhere else

I have been bowling at AMF for over 30 years and continue to be impressed with their facilities and customer service! I love that they have kept the layout the same but consistently update the facilities: decor, food, arcade games, and on lane tv screens. Last week I took my 11 year old son to play using a Groupon I had purchased. AMF manager, McKee, took amazing care of us when I had issues pulling up the Groupon. I didnt read the fine print to understand that my Groupon wouldnt be available until the next day, yet McKee gave us 2 free games along with shoes and told me to come back again to use the Groupon when it was valid! Amazing customer service! My son and I had an absolute blast bowling while watching the Olympics! Trey, wasted no time to serve us water when we got to the lane and was very attentive when we needed a refill. Again, all the AMF staff is there to enhance your bowling experience! After we bowled, we played games in the arcade and marveled at the automated prize dispenser. Two years ago my son had his 9th birthday at AMF. I was impressed with the affordability of the party and the quality/set up of the food. Whether it was at one of my birthday parties growing up, my sons two years ago, or a typical Saturday just last week, AMF continues to be one of the best family friendly establishments in town. Thank you McKee for continuing the legacy at AMF!

Had to write a post as we are closing out the summer here. We had our son s 8th birthday party here back in April, last minute I might add. They took amazing care of us. I believe the manager, I know him as McKee, really owned the experience for us and made it extremely warm and made us feel very special. He made sure to mention the summer passes which we jumped on right away. So we ve been here more than 20 times this summer. We hadn t been back for about a month but walked in tonight. There is definitely a sense of comfort for my family when we walk in this place. The service members have been great, remembering us each time and like I said, make this a place my 8 and 6 year old are happy to come to. Thank you guys for making this place an environment they can learn the game/sport of Bowling. Appreciate everything! Dede(at the bar/service station) and Mckee are the reasons we will keep coming back. Tommy

League bowlers have lots of lane issues (breakdowns, balls not returned, etc more than other places). Staff is nice, but slow to respond. Night manager (Trae) is extremely unprofessional. Tonight, as several lanes were experiencing mechanical issues and bowlers were getting frustrated, Trae made an announcement that there was only one person working on the lanes and to stop yelling at the front desk staff or I m going to get pissed off. This made us all feel like he really values our business.

Think of it as your friendly neighborhood bowling alley, with leagues, but (so far) without a ton of little kids running all over the place. Great bar staff, food is Ok, lanes are really nice (Im still getting used to the league lanes, just a bit different than the rest, for some reason), and the rest of the place is great too! And dont forget the GIGANTIC Space Invaders game in the arcade! Very fun to play!

Its April 15, 2024 and Im bowling league at AMF Richardson and again its super hot in the bowling center. Our league secretary texted the manager Trae on April 8 at 6:23 pm to let him know that LAST WEEK it was hot in the bowling center. At 9:57 the league secretary texted the manager Trae again letting him know that it was hot in the bowling center. Today April 15, I spoke with the manager Trae today and asked why its so hot in the bowling center? He said the A/C was not working properly and they requested an A/C tech to come out. The manager Trae said the A/C tech came out (im guessing with in a day or 2) and he was told they would have to come back out, but he has no idea what the status is and could not tell me when it would be repaired. The manager Trae tried to make me feel better by telling me his office is also HOT. Again AMF is having its bowlers and employees endure the heat. Like I said before, I would bet money the their corporate office is nice & cool. I work in the field of A/C and hiring contractors / repairmen, and honestly all I hear are excuses. There are alot of A/C companies that can acquire the parts needed and make repairs in a day or 2. With all thats said, I would like to mention that the staff here does a wonderful job and are very nice. We order the chicken strips and garlic fries and a drink EVERY WEEK. For the good news, AMF Richardson will no longer have to read my future reviews, since my team and I will not return to bowl league in this center ever again. I bowled summer league and the outside temp was 110, but inside AMF Richardson was 78 degrees. Today Oct 2, 2023 its 82 degrees outside and Im bowling Monday night league and the temp inside is 76 degrees. I used a Fluke Temp/Humidity tester to test the temp. I spoke to the manager 2 weeks ago and showed him the Fluke tester and he said the building was poorly insulated and that AMF Bolwero Corporate controls the temperature inside. He also said he has no control of the thermostat. Its horrible to bowl when the temp is 76 degrees. I go home sticky every Monday night after league. The staff here is great and the food is good. Its SAD that the bowlers and employees have to bowl and work in this condition. Every bowler here doesnt like the high uncomfortable temp. Im seriously considering not bowling AMF Richardson next season.

An online reservation for two adults with treated as a party and was much more expensive than had we paid cash at check-in. We were able to get four games in 2 hours. Our reserved lane was in-between two much larger groups, one of which was a group of rowdy 12 year old boys whose moms were experienced bowlers but who failed to manage basic bowling etiquette of their children.

I bowl in a league at this bowling alley. One evening the lane we were assigned to use was damaging the balls by putting gouges in them. We notified the staff and they said they fixed it but the damage to the bowling balls continued. They took the balls saying they would fix the damage caused by their lane. After two weeks they gave the ball back without anything being done to fix it. They said it was just cosmetic damage however the gouges were fairly deep. They should have fixed the damage caused by their equipment. Bad business.

This place needs alot of attention. I bowl league on Monday night. The bathrooms have smelled like they have sewer issues for weeks. During the summer the bowling center is hot. They are making an attempt to make the place look better. The black paint is being painted grey. Also it seems there are fewer machine failures but you really need a well trained mechanic and staff. Several weeks ago the guy oiling the lanes had droplets of oil on the approaches which is a hazard. I asked if he could clean and basically said no.and called a porter. I ended up cleaning up the lane conditioner spill. It is the little things that we notice. In this case it was a liability to the company. You should have high performing centers train these other centers so.they can do what makes them successful. Listen to your customers. We want you to succeed because we like to bowl. Hace you thought about a voice of the customer survey.

This was our second time at this locations and it went worse than the first time. The establishment is clean and the food is great(when they have things). The check in to our lane was smooth and the staff at the counter was friendly and thorough. It went down hill once we hit the bar. There were 6 people I our party( 5 over 21 and 1 under 18). One of my parents went to the bar to order a tower of beer(which can be ordered by a minimum of 3 people over 21) for himself and my mom, the bar tender was unwilling to sell him any once she found out how many of us in our party were over 21. When my father informed her that only two people were drinking, he was informed that it didnt matter, that anyone over 21 needed to go to the bar and show their i.d.s(again even though 3 people over 21 were not drinking) she was informed that if she really needed to she could check the I.D.s of the individuals herself (since again we were NOT drinking) at some point, the battle was lost and my parents bought a pitcher instead. Then at one point our lane got stuck with about 3 balls(one of our players has autism and didnt understand that he couldnt throw the balls) the manager on shift( a man with a clover leaf tattoo on his arm) was asked to help us and when he came to us, he very condicendily informed us that he can only fix it when we decide to stop bowling.

Really like the atmosphere and most of the league members are cool, and the staff does a good job of being accommodating. My biggest gripe is lane condition is usually a miss. You may have a lane will feel like its been oiled and taken care of, or you may have a lane that feels like its never even heard of oil. Balls will pick up every piece of debris from the ball return. Some type of regular maintenance and/or consistence of proper lane conditions would go a long way. The staff and league members keep us coming back; however the lane conditions may drive us away.

Didn t accept our family Groupon so we just decided to pay because the kids were excited. Our lane broke twice during our visit and the workers were not attentive with getting it fixed so we sat for 20 minutes each time waiting for a fix. Eventually when asking for a refund after our kids only got to bowl once we were told we couldn t get a refund and they allowed us to change lanes, upon changing lanes our score and line up was wrong, had to wait in line at the front another 15 minutes to get it fixed. We went to AMF Richardson bowling lanes about a week ago. The bowling balls were not the best. The scoreboard wasn t very accurate. If I got a strike it would sometimes put it as a 9. When you change it, it would just change it by 1 point and not give you the strike. Which it didn t carry on to the next box. My friend isn t the best bowler and needed gutters. The gutters were not so great. If your looking for a cheaper and better place to bowl at, I would recommend Plano Super Bowl (PSB).

The Thursday night league is kind of a mess management-wise. Our payment folder keeps getting lost, our team name isn t being entered and one of our females is listed as a male. This after a couple of weeks of bringing to their attention.

We went on a Friday night after dinner and we re greeted warmly and promptly taken care of with our shoe rental and lane designation. The staff were so kind and energetic! The atmosphere was super fun with dimmed lights, fun music playing, fun lighting on the lanes, and everyone in a good mood. It was a perfect way to end the week! The lanes were well kept and area was very clean. Did not smell like smoke whatsoever so nice!! After bowling, we enjoyed some games in the arcade which were all well kept up and clean as well. We will for sure be back and will have friends with us next time! Thank you to the staff and management for an outstanding bowling experience!!

This is my favorite bowling alley! I ve been coming here at least once a week for six months, joined a bowling league, and even hosted a birthday party here. They have great league benefits and specials almost every night if you re not in a league. I d love if they added some lighter food options since we re usually here around dinner time, but in the meantime the chicken sandwich and quesadilla are really tasty! Highly recommend checking it out if you love bowling!

Bowling balls continue to be torn up and the staff does not care about customer service. Joined a league where we are supposed to get two bowling balls and they keep telling us that we will get the vouchers next week and keep giving us the run around. The AMF bowling company that runs this alley has given up on this alley and does not take care of the machines or staff go somewhere else it is not worth the money to have your equipment possibly be torn up.

I love this place. Jacob and Missy and Ted do an awesome job of taking care of everybody. Jacob in the bar does a great job of mixing the drinks and getting our orders right. Everybody is super friendly and nice and I love the leagues they have here.

When you love bowling and go 2 or 3 times a week you want it to be a place you enjoy. AMF Richardson is like visiting family for us. We have made so many friends there due to the fun, relaxed atmosphere. The staff is top notch and we are proud to call them friends. They are hard workers and will do all they can to make your bowling (and eating) experience above expectations. If a problem arises with the equipment, etc., they are quick to get things back on track as soon as possible. And by the way, with this equipment that has to be maintained daily and can never be absolutely perfect, be patient. It s hard work for the front desk and mechanics to keep things running smoothly. A shout out to our friends Jacob (asst. manager), Max, Spencer and Dan (front desk and asst. managers in training), Jacob and Anita (cafe and bar), Tad and the other mechanic who s name eludes me at the moment (forgive me), sweet Katie that keeps the place cleaned up with a smile and of course, Q (Mr. Customer Service Supreme)!! Introduce yourself to them. I promise, you will find yourself making a good friend and enjoying your experience immensely. And that s just some of the staff, you will also find yourself quickly making friends. Bowling is healthy, friendly and fun!! Especially here at AMF Richardson!!

Thinking of joining a bowling league so went to try this location of Bowlero since I was told they had a good league.I was just as amazed as I was with their sister location in Addison.Quinten at this location helped me w my game with the best bowling tips I ever had. Everybody seem to be at home..The couple next to me had a baby and she had more fun than I did. I had one of the best times of my life.

Worst management and service.. I have reached at 6:00 PM by the time the young boy on front desk responded it was 6:02 PM Saturday evening and he refused to take us check in and it was birthday and came along from Frisco.. Asked to talks to mamanger and he was so rude and didn t listen and didn t do that .. The only confusion I had 6:30 PM check in was in mind instead of 6:00 PM.. This was human error and for 2 min he didn t allow n to check in and kids were so upset.. Worst mangne r and staff.. Thinking inside service will be more worst Never go there ..

Worst service i reached almost @ 6:00 PM evening by the time front desk member said it is 6 past 2 min and cant take.. I went there from Frisco he called Manager and said same thing .. I mean seriously just for 2 min then didnt let check in.. Worst service will never go there...

The AMF/Richardson has that Yeah, this is a bowling alley alright! ambience and is updated where it should be (electronic automatic scoring, quality seating, table games & video game area). The kitchen puts out really good comfort food, like chix or beef quesadilla, burgers/fries fried cheese sticks milks shakes +lots more. My preferred munchies were the chicken quesadilla and the French fries. The bar is efficient, the bartenders friendly, the servers active and Q is the all-around concierge or Jack of all trades is always just there when a customer needs anything. The facility is kept clean, floors, tables & chairs and the all-important room (restrooms) is tended to regularly. The first.time I went was to meet my girlfriends family at a league night. Even as a new customer who wasnt even bowling, interactions with any of the staff made me feel like part of group. I endorse spending your time and money at AMF/Richardson. Good times...

This place not good I recommend everyone that dont come/go to this place. Because customer service is zero. We brought tickets on Groupon and the manager is not accepting us because we buy tickets on Groupon. Then we argue with him for an hour then he accept. But he is to rough. He dont know how to talk with customers. We are two families and he accept only one family then again we argue then he accept one more family. Then what he did is so bad he gave us Line 14 and my friends family is on line 4. This is my 1st time and so so so Bad Experience . I prefer MAIN EVENTS.

Using a GroupOn, lanes available on Sunday. Super clean, didn t have that 70s smell either. Arcade is up to date and staff treated us right!
