To start off the service and employees are all great and the waiter was good. The Sushi was fantastic and well done as well as presented. The Caesar salad was very much okay but the chicken was very good. The burger was very basic and American cheese that you d buy at the store low quality.the fries were extremely salty! If you come here make sure to go for the grilled meat or fish. They do a great job of those here and I think anything else is just okay. They do a fantastic job Tim Collins great job to the bar tender. The fish is good I wish they brought back the sea bass with the veggies it was fantastic. The cocktails are greats the ribs are also great and look at their menu for daily specials the ribs were on Tuesday and they were amazing and so tender. We got the Lava cake and it was obviously a store bought cake with ice cream wish it was homemade. My father ordered an espresso but the machine was broken even though I was able to get my espresso martini. Overall I will be back but stick to the meats of the menu.

Really great food and service. The happy hour offerings are reasonably priced and very tasty (both beverages and food). There is a small outdoor area perfect for enjoying a meal on an evening with nice weather. The street parking just outside may be hard to find, but its right across from a parking garage, so really convenient. The staff is friendly and allowed ample time to eat, drink and relax.

This place used to be much better, which is why it was completely empty at 7pm on a Sat night. They changed the menu the menu to a bizarre backyard theme, and then overly foodied it, to the point theres virtually nothing worth ordering. When the food arrived, it felt like wed already eaten... everything was nugget-sized... When you look at the prices, then compare to the amount of food you get, its infuriating. Not to mention the alcohol prices are roughly 50% HIGHER than comparable restaurants within a mile. Again... NO SHOCKER at all why this place was completely empty during a restaurants peak night/hours. I dont give them much longer before theyre out of business. If you charge what they charge, its fine... IF YOU DELIVER an experience equivalent to the price. We couldve eaten at III Forks, Del Friscos, or Silver Fox for the same price (possibly LESS) and had more food with a much better experience. The waiter provided great service, but thats irrelevant. This isnt his fault, he works for an establishment thats ripping off its customers. My advice... if you havent picked up on it by now... Atmosphere is definitely a business casual/ upscale dress. Although I can in jeans and a t-shirt, I still received great service and attention. DRINKS: I preferred the Mule I ordered off menu vs. the Watermelon Sugar. It Watermelon Sugar would have been better without the jolly rancher vibes. I wanted more fresh natural watermelon flavor. Was still good enough for me to finish. APP: Happy hour apps go til 7, so I indulged. I dont remember the name, but it consistently of spiral cut potato wedges, cheese, ground beef, diced tomato, and a dash of herbs. I thought the cut on the potatoes looked cool. I did come across one that was not fully cooked but was a decent start. Make sure you have at least 3 ppl to share this with as it was a lot and is a heavy starter. Maybe request extra tomatoe and some sour cream too. MAIN: Smokehouse Chicken, which comes on a bed of coleslaw. Chicken is smothered in a smoky anchor bbq sauce. Loved the chicken, and they served dark meat, so you know it was moist. The coleslaw was a bit rustic for me. More in the side of shredded cabbage and a whisper of whatever it was tossed in. I felt myself getting my needed fiber in just 2 bites. I could not eat more than that. The crispy brussles were a much better side. I ordered them separate as I can never pass up brussles. They were tasty. Personally, I like em a little on the someone forgot them in the oven too long side. They werent that crisp. But were golden on the edges. DESSERT: Key Lime Pie. I was worried about diabeties as most serve this super sweet, but the chef delivered. Just in case you looked at the pic 1st, thats not caramel. It has a tart blackberry drizzle that helps reel in the sweetness. The sweetness builds as you eat. The crust is like a crisp. It was a really nice finish to the day. Im taking a star for that coleslaw

Late night dinner so we were not expecting much however the service and food are definitely top notch. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about food and drinks. The table shared the Crispy Five Spice Calamari and Deviled Eggs. The espresso Martini was served as it should be (vodka and espresso) simple but fantastic. Main course was delicious although I order the Smoked Salmon Roll and received the Seared Verlasso Salmon which I believe was a miscommunication issue however the manager kindly brought the Salmon Roll out even after we told him it was not necessary. Everyone ended up happy and full at the end of service. Definitely coming back

Gave it 2 stars because it s really pretty inside, would be 1 if I considered the food alone. My friend s pasta was bland. The manger asked us how the food was and seeing as my friend barely touched her food, offered to replace her meal with another pasta. The second pasta was just as bland, thank goodness we ordered fries. As for my meal, I was just hungry so I ate it with no remarks. The chicken was more steamed than roasted, bland and plopped right on top of the side( the mash potatoes). The mash potatoes were good though. When we walked in it smelled amazing inside. Maybe we had the unlucky chance of picking subpar menu Items.

The food and atmosphere were great but what makes it above 5 stars is the service. Drew, the AGM, made it a point to make sure we were happy with our food and service. The rest of the staff was also amazing. If I can recommend one menu item I would say the braised short rib! It was amazing! Thanks again for the great service and food. We really appreciate it!

I used fo love to go to Jaspers in Plano. After many years I decided to try Jaspers in Richardson. On a Friday night the place looked like a ghost town. Whole dining area was empty (indoors). I asked for a bigger table and the receptionist decided she could not sit us there because there were no glasses there . I decided to walk out and go to Fernando s next door. If you like Japers please go there soon. These people are not going to last there too long. That is my non professional opinion.

Jasper s outdid itself at today s Mother s Day brunch! What a lovely crafted menu with three delicious courses! My party of five enjoyed salads, flatbread pizzas, Migas, and braised short rib. It was all perfect. Biscuits and blue cheese potato chips as apps were amazing. Yummy mimosas and great coffee. Desserts were moist and a wonderful way to end this special meal. Service by Art was impeccable. He s very kind, attentive, and witty. Drew is also the best manager. Great hospitality, as he checked on us more than once and took pictures for us (as well as, I noticed, a couple other customers who were dining with their mothers/wives). Thanks again, Art and Drew, for making our day so awesome for Mom! Consistently excellent in all ways!

The service was great. Our server Brad was there when we needed him. We got the Venison steak and boy was it good. Attended an Event at the Richardson Womans Club 4/29 that was catered by this restaurant. The only thing that had ANY TASTE was the Mac n Cheese and it needed salt and pepper. There was deviled eggs and they were horrible. I was told their food was better at the restaurant. Hopefully the person that cooked the food for the event is not their normal restaurant chef. The service was great. I wouldnt recommend the Catered Food to anyone.

This is a high end American food place. It had some of the best prime rib I ve ever had. The chocolate cake was also very yummy and moist. I really recommend getting the crab cake, while it is on the pricier side it was almost entirely lump crab meat and delicious with the poblano sauce.

Food was amazing. We visited two weeks ago on a Wednesday night for girls night and my bestie and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The ladies night 3 course menu was so filling and had tons of options. I had the surf and turf with petite filet and it was 10/10. I would say service was mediocre. Diego was our server and he did all he could to make our dining experience enjoyable. My wife and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the short ribs and prime rib. My ribs were less than warm. Diego noticed that something was wrong and offered to make it right. I passed and said it was fine. Subsequently, he brought out a Lava Cake on the house after apologizing many times. The manager comped my meal and met me at the door as I was leaving and again offered his apologies. I think that they went above and beyond to try and make it right. It was probably a one off event and we ll give them another try.

We came during happy hour to check out the place. Its definitely a nice spot to chill with friends. The music wasnt loud, so you can actually hear each other. I had the Tinsley, which was refreshing, and the right amount of sweet. I would order this again. We had the cheese fries with (I think prime brib or brisket). The reason I didnt remember was because it tasted like low quality taco meat. The cheese fries were good and definitely the best dish of the afternoon. We ordered the sushi roll in both shrimp and tuna. Both tasted like the cold rolls you get from Kroger. I get the HH pricing, so the food is of lesser quality. The restaurant should consider just doing smaller portions and using better ingredients. Maybe their dinners are better.

This is my second time here and the service was awesome again. Its hard to find this kind of service when you go to a restaurant these days. They truly work together as a team. Just ordered online and went to pick up the food. We eat there on frequent bases, so I didnt think I needed to check the food. When we arrived at our destination we opened our food and to our surprise the food was not cooked thoroughly. Asparagus was over cooked and the 12oz steak was supposed to be cooked medium well and ended up rare all through. We called back to speak with Drew the manager about the situation. He let us know that we have to take the complaint to the company we had ordered it through. Keep in mind we ordered the food to go and picked it up ourselves. Not delivered, picked up. So disappointed! Weve visited this restaurant on multiple occasions as dine in clients. Never had an issue with our food being prepared incorrectly or bad service. Today we had an event to attend, so we decided to order to go. My husband ordered for the pickup through Uber Eats so it would be ready when I arrived to pick it up. When we were able to open everything to eat we realized that our food wasnt cooked properly. His steak was between rare and medium rather than medium well as requested and the asparagus was dried out. I called and spoke to Drew. I explained my situation and asked if there was anything that could be done to rectify the issue as I couldnt bring the food back. He immediately said he couldnt do anything because we ordered through a 3rd party and told me to contact them. We spent a good amount of money and without trying to correct their error, he pushed the accountability to someone who had nothing to do with the quality of food their kitchen put out. Being in management can be challenging, but youre there to handle issues and ultimately make your company look better. Unfortunately, this didnt happen with Drew.

We were celebrating my daughters 28th birthday and made the mistake of trying a new place in Richardson. We left immediately and went to Jaspers. I had not been there in years, but was impressed prior, so had fingers crossed. Jasper did NOT disappoint! Our waiter, Diego, gave us the absolute best service. He made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious. The atmosphere and pricing was on point. My only issue was the heat. It was super hot inside and I was sweating. I have to say Diego saved the day!

We celebrated our daughters birthday at Jaspers in Richardson and have no regrets! Make a plan for parking if you go at peak hours, but we didnt have an issue. The restaurant is modern and stylish. We didnt realize that happy hour only takes place in the bar area; it appeared appropriately crowded, and folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. We enjoyed three different cocktails immensely and shared a deliciously Crispy Five Spice Calamari appetizer. I had the Slow Smoked Baby Back Ribs, which I highly recommend to rib lovers. They were a bargain on the Tuesday that we dined, so all the better. I loved the accompanying ancho BBQ sauce and then tender smokiness of the meat. It comes with a creamy baked potato salad, and while the flavors went well with the entree, the potatoes were just under-cooked. Its a tough balance in large volumes because they did not want them to be too soft, but it wasnt a crunch that I wanted. They were also a little light on flavor, but these are easy fixes. My wife had the cheeseburger, which comes with fries, and enjoyed it thoroughly. May daughter had the Hyplains Filet Mignon with red wine butter, which was cooked perfectly. We shared the Mac & Cheese and Crispy Brussels Sprouts side dishes, and all enjoyed them. After a large meal, we only had room to share the Chocolate Bundt Cake. This was superlatively delicious, and if you are chocolate-inclined (and who hurt you if you are not?) this is a must. Would we go back with all of the other choices out there? ABSOLUTELY ! The service alone won us over and that is critical to a great experience. That comes from the top, so kudos to everyone for making our celebration so memorable.

We were really excited to try Jaspers Richardson after being huge fans of the Jaspers in Houston (The Woodlands) before it closed down post-COVID. Sadly, this experience fell a bit short. We tried something new in the deviled egg starter and were quite impressed, but thats where it ended. While many of our favorites were still on the menu, the recipes have been tweaked in the wrong direction. The ribs were very chewy and should have never been served. The new rendition of creamy potato salad was flat-out terrible and was served with cold, chewy fried onions on top. The Mac and Cheese was under with a bit of crunch in the onions and roasted garlic and the sauce was not creamy at all. I guess we should have taken a cue from the fact that our Saturday @ 7:30 reservation found a dining room that was only half full.

Absolutely amazing!! I would start listing great things but I would definitely run out of room. Will certainly be back. I fee the price was well worth the service. My ticket came to $120 with the chicken, the salmon, blue cheese chips and a bottle of wine. Only thing we finished was the wine lol waitress was on point. Never skipped a beat. Best date night

Walking into this place was like stepping into a time machine, but instead of going somewhere cool like ancient Rome or the Jurassic period, it took me to my grandparents Sunday dinners. From the decor to the clientele, everything screamed Ive got Werthers Originals in my pocket. I half expected the waitstaff to start asking us if weve been eating enough. My girlfriend, always the brave one, ordered the Fillet with Brussels sprouts, because apparently, she enjoys playing dinner roulette. She ended up having to salt it so much that I was worried we were recreating the Dead Sea at our table. A $40 steak should have more flavor than my student loan debt has interest, but alas, it did not. Now, onto my choice of the night, the full rack of baby back ribs. I swear, Ive had more flavorful dental floss. I have a theory that whoever made the recipe for these ribs must have confused them with cardboard. The ribs were drier than my DMs and as dull as a quarantine Friday night. Looking around at the crowd, I couldnt help but wonder, is this place gonna survive the TikTok generation? I mean, how do you even make a Boomerang of a dry steak? Its hard to imagine influencers queuing up to snap selfies with the Worlds Most Disappointing Ribs. In conclusion, this place is like a culinary time capsule from a time nobody was asking to revisit. Its like they found a way to serve mediocrity on a plate and charge premium prices for it. If theyre hoping to attract anyone who doesnt remember rotary phones, theyre going to need to do some serious 21st-century rethinking. Otherwise, the only thing theyll be serving up in a few years is Closed signs.

I went on a Tuesday and ordered their special of the day, ribs. I usually love this place but was very disappointed with this dish. The ribs were dry and hard to get off the bone. It tasted like it was leftover and they decided to get rid of it rather than making it fresh specially for the day. The spicy meatballs tasted like sand with taco seasoning. I took my friend out for a special occasion and this did not meet our expectations.

I was looking forward to attending a dinner with a group of friends at Jaspers. Sadly, I was a little bit disappointed. It tries to flaunt the pretention and atmosphere of a 4 or 5 star restaurant but just falls short. Happy to have tried it, but I will not be returning. The prices are steep and equivalent to a 4 or 5 star restaurant, however the food is equivalent to a 3 star restaurant. I was with a large party and multiple people cited that their food was mediocre at best and in some cases overcooked. I had the ribs, they were well prepared and flavourful however the sides were unremarkable. Interestingly, they have a burger on the menu but they have absolutely no on tap draft beer. Kind of seems odd particularly given the wonderful microbrews available in the Fort Worth area. For dessert I tried the key lime pie, again, it was mediocre. It lacked the tartness and the bite that a top notch keyline pie should carry. On the positive side, the service was excellent, the wait time was reasonable, and our food arrived in a timely manner and was hot. From an atmosphere perspective, I dont think they know what they want to be. There are some TVs in various places around the bar which smacks of a sports bar, then on the other hand theres a feeling of elegance with linen and napkins. Not sure what this place really wants to be. The food comes across the same way. Parking is available in an underground parking lot nearby, on street parking is tight.

Update 3/9/23 As usual the food was good. The drinks were good and and great deal on wine if you ordered prime rib. Service was at the right level for this place. Desert was good enough but since the meal was so good a bit less than expected. Ill be back in sure. Food was great. The service was good but our waiter was a bit nervous so he danced around while at the table. He spilled one drink and nearly a second. Parking: There is parking in front of the restaurant but across the street is a garage with free parking for the area. Easy access.

Employees are a reflection of management. This restaurant is considered on the higher end due to location and etc. I went her for Valentine s Day and the service was fair. Problem is the respect level for communicating was totally different when my server presented the menu and etc to me and my wife as well as his communication throughout our entire stay. I over looked this. Now I return again on feb 28th and was seated and served by a staff member that once again cloths looked as if his clothing was worn for several days straight. He leaned over the table with arms on the chair talking about how long he s been working in which I don t care to hear then he asked about our drinks. Water was served in dirty glasses. We had no utensils no appetizers or anything else while waiting for someone to come assist us. Finally I went to the host to be moved with hopes to get a new server. Then a lady pops up 3 minutes later with a bill saying this is for the water and drink we never used and said for us TO Take our own drinks after we pay. Very disrespectful. I went ti the host ti address this concern and move and she went for management who never came sending a message saying he was busy and we didn t have to pay. Also the lady that came to our table with the check at that time also yelled across restaurant saying you don t have to pay which was very humiliating and disrespectful. Sad part is I m a business owner as well and customer service is part of the elite program in the hospitality industry as well as taking into consideration race , creed and color. I will be addressing this further. Very rude and embarrassing

Date night with the wife. She had the filet and it was perfectly prepared. She had the mixed green salad, I had the wedge, both salads were excellent. I had the cowboy ribeye and it was seasoned well but extremely fatty and not rendered well at a medium rare+ and at a cost of 60 dollars ala cart I expected much better. For sides we tried the Mac n cheese, it had very little flavor, the brussel sprouts, these were amazing, and the jalapeno corn, which was very good but should lose the fried onion on top and maybe add some cotija cheese. The very best part of our evening was our server Brittany! Exceptionally sweet and attentive, she made sure our glasses stayed filled and that our entrees were served in a timely matter and not before the salads were finished. Overall Ill definitely give it another shot and Ill try something different.

Nice place. Ive been to this location a few times. Servers are usually very friendly and helpful. Food is good. It can be a little pricey but that comes with the territory. This is a good place to have a business meeting or take clients. Parking: There is limited street parking but a large parking garage is a short walk away. We have been twice and the staff has been super knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to allergies on both occasions. They offered us a gluten free cake that wasnt on the menu after we finished our courses to enjoy with our cocktails and the deviled eggs are to die for. Dietary restrictions: They can make almost any dish gluten-free, they werent any nuts in their dishes, and shellfish were easy to avoid

This is our first time to Jasper s! We located them via Google the area was nice so we decided to go. Upon arrival, we had reservations so we were quickly seated. Our waiter was ok I ll explain why in a moment. For our appetizer, we had the crab cakes and they were meaty which was great. But I feel they lacked flavor. We ve had TruLucks and there is truly no comparison. Now our entrees were better. Though I still believe the salmon need a seasoning. I asked for salt. Maybe it s because of the changes I made because I don t like beets I was told no changes could be made to this I opted for pesto couscous and Brussels sprouts. In my opinion, the Brussels sprouts were a little too charred. But the couscous was wonderful. I believe my husband s experience was about the same. Here s why I shared the waiter was ok. He started off really welcoming. But I noticed when I asked for adjustments in the order due to my dietary desires, he seemed hesitant. It took him a while before coming back to bring water. He later came back after I had already give him an alternative to tell me that they wouldn t do it. But I had moved on. No, explanation was given as why it was just a No. I found this hard because my husband and I have dined at places like Perry s TruLucks as mentioned before and I never ran into this issue. Also, at the end of our meal we found out that we were charged for an item that we shared we no longer needed as well as the Brussels sprouts that were to serve as alternatives to the menu restrictions and my dietary needs .instead of in substitution of their limitations. The pricing was great had it truly been a better dining experience. The last thing I will share that is a bit disheartening is that when we never saw the manager until it was time to pay. When we explained that order need to have an item removed that we didn t get, he didn t come back out. He sent the waiter to verify if we didn t in fact receive. Now this part is speculation, it felt as though we were trusted as a black couple in this restaurant. The waiter did come out and apologize for his mistake. But the manager never asked us about our dining experience. I felt this was lacking. From any experience I had, it seems as though if a manager ever serves you they were curious about your experience. He never asked. So we never shared. This is why I felt the need to share it here. My husband wants to try again for brunch one day. I m usually a one&done type of girl who allows my initial experience to tell me all I need to know. But I ll follow my husband s lead on this. I hope this feedback helps to improve in respect to others. God bless! Vegetarian options: Same here as mentioned above. I like Jaspers! I received a flyer in the mail from their restaurant so i went to try their brunch. I really enjoyed myself. The environment is classy & chill, food was good, and we didnt have to wait long at all. The day i went the wall exposing the patio was open. It was a nice day, so having the outside air coming in was amazing. Ill definitely be back.

Our go-to spot for happy hour (usually 4 to 7pm). Great selections from the happy hour menu are the sliders, shrimp tacos, Cajun shrimp with grits, and crostini. They have a bunch of happy hour drinks including wine and mixed drinks. The regular priced grilled oysters are amazing too!

Just cant beat these blue cheese chips. Great atmosphere in the bat areas and super friendly staff. Wine selection if fabulous and plentiful. Easy to get there with ample parking across the street
