The service was great, Jett was a great server and was attentive to our needs and requests. The food was ok. As a Hispanic I was quite disappointed at the lack of authenticity in the food sold. The menu presents very Americanized and catering to a specific demographic, not hispanics who normally eat hispanic food. They dont sell aguas frescas which is a staple in any Mexican restaurant. I ordered Tacos al pastor without cheese. I had to request Cilantro and onions to have semi-authentic tacos. The flavor was ok but they were neither the best nor the absolute worst Ive had. They would greatly benefit from revisiting their recipes to add more flavor and season. The atmosphere is nice and theres good music playing, its a nice family restaurant that could lean more into authentic to provide a better dining experience throughout.

I don t usually post reviews unless it s really good or really bad. This was BAD. I should ve known since the Yelp reviews weren t good. I m here on a Saturday night at 7pm, not many ppl in the restaurant, that s a sign too! So many employees just talking to each other and not attending tables like they should be. I ordered the La Cima Margarita, their specialty margarita. I ve had way better house margaritas than this. When I asked the server if I received the correct one? Since it was so tart, she didn t seem to really care. Then she never came back for a while to even check on us or ask if we needed something. We were out of chips too. I had to Carne Asada and my husband had the fajitas. Both the meats tasted like very low-grade beef. After eating (our server never even came by or gave any additional napkins, without enem asking if we wanted anything else we just got the check. Stay clear from this place, there are so many better restaurants!

I sort of like the food here It was pretty decent but It was about 25% more expensive than comparable restaurants in the area and portion size was pretty poor. We ordered fajitas for two and could barely make two each. For almost $40 thats a little bit sad. The service was where it really fell apart. We were never checked on after ordering and when they brought me my margarita that I asked for no salt on they fixed it by just pouring it into another glass and it was too salty to drink. I had to actually ask them to remake it when that should be the standard. I wanted to like this place but I dont think I will be back.

No management and no service. Watched an earlier couple walk out..sitting at the table for over 20 minutes..no server. My server, 10 minutes for complimentary chips then came back. 10 minutes later to take my lunch order but by that time... he told me it was too late, so sorry. I then order food to go and just wanted to leave this place and he forgot the order. Couldnt speak English, then tried to charge me extra on my bill. There was only 1 table inside finishing up and 1 table outside so it was dead. Meanwhile I told the manager about the situation while he escorted me out the door. Staff was unpleasant, inattentive, and nonchalant. They were very interactive and friendly amongst each other though! Just not so much to paying customers. Had to ask for the same thing over and over. My utensils were dirty and literally had strands of hair wound around them. The restaurant just looks like it needs a deep cleaning. I will leave my original review at the bottom because it is completely different when I was here last year. This time we had glass shards in our margaritas and when we showed the manager, he acted like it was our fault. We were sitting at the bar. We werent complaining so much as trying to help them out and let them know something was up because it was in both of our drinks. He was completely rude to us unbelievably over the top. He offered to give us free drinks which again wasnt what we were after, but the least he could do. Also I ordered a chimichanga that had about a teaspoon of hamburger meat and thats it! The rest was all doughy stuff more like a burrito than a chimichanga. Not the same place I was at a year ago for sure!! Fantastic food, amazing service, and great atmosphere! I recently dined at La Cima Mexican Food on Hwy 380 in Aubrey, Texas, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The claim of offering authentic Mexican food couldnt have been further from the truth. The flavors were bland, the ingredients seemed subpar, and it was evident that the kitchen lacked any real understanding of authentic Mexican cuisine. The slow service only added to my frustration. It felt like the staff was more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the needs of the customers. It took an eternity for our order to be taken, and then an even longer eternity for the food to arrive at our table. Its almost as if they wanted us to experience every minute of dissatisfaction possible. The quality of the food was shockingly poor. The dishes arrived lukewarm, and it was apparent that they had been sitting under heat lamps for far too long. The tortillas were dry and crumbly, the meat was tough and flavorless, and the vegetables seemed like an afterthought. Its hard to believe that anyone in the kitchen actually tasted the food before sending it out to the diners. All in all, La Cima Mexican Food on Hwy 380 in Aubrey, Texas, was a complete letdown. From the lack of authenticity in their dishes to the snail-paced service and the abysmal quality of the food, there is absolutely nothing redeeming about this dining establishment. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a truly satisfying Mexican dining experience.

This place needs to go out of business already so a real Tex-Mex restaurant could take its place in this prime location. The food is animal grade slop. It honestly is terribly bad. The chicken seems to be out of a can, the tortillas are nuked, nothing taste good, the service is sucks and nothing is worth the price. A lot of recent 1 star reviews are an indication that this place is going to fail soon, all they have to do is keep doing what theyre doing and well have ourselves a new restaurant here. If ownership and management do not care that their restaurant has bad service and bad food, why are they even in this business?? They should just get out of the way and make room for some fine Tex-Mex dining. In the immediate area, i would recommend La Villa Grande a few lights down over this place 10 out of 10 times.

We chose to Order to-go, chips and queso, and fajitas, since our usual spot was closed for the day due to a renovation. La Cima was about 30 minutes round trip. When we got home, the order did not have Chips with the chips and queso, and did not have tortillas with the fajitas. I called and was told by Juan Galvan (sounds like a fake name, but said he was the manager.) That chips are complimentary and tortillas cost about $2 that we he would refund as a courtesy. He couldnt have cared less that his employees failed to provide a completed to-go order. HORRIBLE customer service. Avoid this place at all costs

They have brunch on Saturdays with drink specials. The Micheladas are amazing. Their quest with beef and their Spinish mushroom quesadillas are amazing. I had a Mexican standoff that I really love. I will definitely be back.

I have never rated a restraunt but this time I felt I should. Me and my husband just couldnt finish our food. It was so bland. My husband didnt even finish his burrito and I could only eat 4 nachos. The server was awful kind and cared about her table. Though Our table was dirty. We felt we were charged way to much for what we ordered but we wanted to give it a try. We wont be going back sadly.

The portions are huge! The fajita meat has a really weird chewy texture though. You can easily share a meal. The service is good, most of the time. Ive noticed some servers leave their sections really dirty and they are lazy! Some are amazing!

Food was ok for some items but not great for others. I had the fish tacos which had a large pieces of fish on a taco tortilla and that was all. I believe it was supposed to have come with coleslaw and tarter sauce. The flavor of the fish wasnt good and I couldnt stand to eat them. When the server asked if I didnt like it I said no I couldnt eat them. He said he was sorry I didnt like it but didnt offer to make any changes or discount the cost of the tacos ($16.95). He just asked if the bill would be on one check. When I got bill they had added a 23.5% gratuity on the bill because we had six in our party. I wouldnt go back.

Horrible experience - has been going downhill for years. Weve been a fan of this place since we moved local in 2019, and it *was* our favorite spot to eat. In the past few years though, service has taken a tumble into the awful. Last night was our final visit. It took 20 minutes after we were seated to ask us what we wanted to drink, even after they brought chips and salsa to the table within minutes of being seated. Oh, we had to ask for silverware. We had plenty of time to select our order while dining on three different bowls of chips (they kept refilling those....), but when they finally took our drink order, before we could even say were ready to order, they ran off. Ten minutes later we got our drinks (two waters and two sweet teas). We ordered. They messed up the order, confused who ordered what when brought our food to the table, and my chicken was so over cooked it couldve been the sole of a war-worn boot from WW2. It was inedible. To top it off, while we were eating (we were seated up front by the window, not the bar area), someone inside cranked the music so loud we had to yell at our table just to have conversation. There were maybe 20 people total dining at the time, so it wasnt busy. God-awful experience. Manager came by to apologize, but walked off as I was responding to his apology. Good riddance. Get new management or go out of business, because we will never dine there again until one of the two happens.

They overcharged us by a margarita then removed the Unbought margarita from the list, but she left the original bill with the credit card slip. I pointed out to the manager that it s still $173 and he told me that I needed to learn to read my receipt, however, the original receipt was the only thing that was not inside the pocket. He got very indignant with us, and I will not go back there again. On the other hand, I was invited to not come back.

After reading the other posts about food safety here this is crazy. Ordered takeout from this location (not sure if they have more) we ordered the brisket tacos and they were good and so was the chips and black bean dip. So now for the one star part, my wife ordered the chili Reino and about half way thru it she noticed the meat was raw and had not been cooked all the way. Called the location that night and I m guessing do to the time of night they did not answer. Called the next day and the manager stated he would take a not and leave it for the owner that would be in Friday and normally that would be fine but ya this happened on a Tuesday??? So for three days you re not going to alert anyone you could be selling bad meat? So I asked for the number to the owner and I would be happily to call. They would not give me his number and I understood completely so they took my number and called me back. The man claimed to be the owner and I explained up front we weren t looking for a REFUND or any type of COMPENSATION we only wanted to make them aware of the situation. His exact words were how do you know your wife s little tummy ache came from here? No apology just immediately went into a defensive asking how I know she got sick from there food and week it s very easy if you eat something and immediately get sick and start throwing up well then what they just placed in there mouth just might be the case. Again did I mention that it was a call to give them a heads and again didn t even ask for our money back Very simple thing to handle for the owner in the future, find out all the fact and then follow up by checking the food and making sure all is in date and edible. The one star is manly for the way this was handled by the manager and the owner total lack of concern for the people that eat here. Good Luck
