Me and my family have been coming here for 2 years now and never had a single complaint. Today was different because we came in during a slow time but still had to wait a while for food to be ready. We always order the same thing because we know this is the best place to get french toast. When me and my mom started eating it we realized its was very mushy inside and not cooked all the way. Our server was hard to track down the whole time and had to ask other servers to assist with our issues. We had to wait a long time for the manager to come to our table. She was very nice and offered to remake it but we were just turned off and wanted to order something else. Our food came out better but eggs were still pretty slimy and way undercooked. I didn t want to complain again so just paid and left. They did not charge us for the french toast but i would have appreciated some type of other compensation. We ve never had an issue the whole two years coming here but most likely wont be back anytime soon.

This is a great place to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The portions are very generous, food is prepared perfectly and the staff is friendly, courteous and continually checking on you. Parking: Plenty of parking in the morning since most of the other eateries are closed.

I came to eat to toasted yolk couple days ago, service was great and food too. Unfortunately, I was very upset to hear how a male manager was treating his waitresses. This is not the first time that I see how he treats his employees, he is rude and disrespectful towards them. You can sense the negative vibes in this place. I hope that the corporation or someone can do something about it, no employees should be treated that way.

4 of us came for breakfast the first time. The was good UNTIL first guest found a dead bug in the fruit cup and then second guest found a long black hair in the omelette. Everyone stopped eating. We asked for the manager who just offered to take off 1 coffee drink! We said we would not pay for the omelette. We all left still hungry and paying for nothing. We should have just walked out.

Regular chain breakfast spot. I liked their coffee, they had milk alternatives which was nice for a chain. The rest was just mediocre. Nothing big and special. I had an omelette and my husband had one of their breakfast Benedict sliders. Small sliders and my omelette came out wrong. Don t think we d be back. This is my second time coming to this restaurant (7/19/24). I absolutely love it and wished they had it in AZ. Today our server was Grace. She was super cool and chill and very attentive. This place has the best eggs Benedict I have ever had! They have several kinds and we tried the original, Western Coast and the Eastern Coast. The western coast is the best (in every way!) We went on a Friday and they have half off mimosas! Delish! Our server Stephanie was amazing also.... So was the entire staff and the manager even checked in to make sure everything was great! Five stars all around for food, staff, and customer service!!!!!!

Clean, bright, open, great service, food delicious, good drink choices! We re still without power from Beryl so we came here and have just been chilling in the AC. The food is good, but depending on if youre lucky or not it will be cold and dry. The first time I went everything was perfect and tasted great and the coffee was perfect. Every time since I have gotten super old nasty sour coffee each time. Its just disgusting and makes my stomach upset. Its really sad, theres not many places to get good coffee around here that hasnt been sitting for hours (to be honest it taste like days old coffee or an unclean coffee machine) doesnt matter door dash or in person but door dash will ALWAYS be cold which is kinda expected

I asked to be seated outside this morning, restaurant was full which is fine. I watch two other tables to be seated then waited on, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited, I sat outside for 20 minutes with no service. I finally went inside and told the staff the menus are outside on the table and Im leaving. They asked no one waited on me, and I told them no and then I left. Ill be going to other locations next time.

Update: Ive been here several times since my 1st review, and it was definitely better than my 1st visit. That day may have been an off day for them and Im happy I gave them a 2nd chance. Past Review: Im currently sitting here, and Im honestly not a fan. I had high expectations based on the reviews and photos, but my fruit was brown, my biscuit hard, my hashbrowns soft, and my Paloma was weak. Im actually a little upset that I have to pay for this. Came here to eat and work, but the plug Im using doesnt even work, and for whatever reason, the internet isnt working... Hate to say it, but Snooze is wayyyy better. I rarely leave negative reviews, 1but I was hoping for so much better.

Ate here with my wife for my birthday breakfast date. The staff and atmosphere were great! I ordered biscuits and gravy and a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was full of flavor and spicy. The biscuits were dry and crumbly (not really a good quality in my opinion) and the gravy was a sausage gravy which was super flavorful.

First time eating here. We are not disappointed. The place was packed but they were able to get our food in record time, seriously, we didn t have to wait at all. We were weary hungry travelers, just having disembarked from our cruise. So happy to find the Toasted Yolk on our Apple map! Very clean, bright and happy atmosphere. All of the staff was super friendly and food was very good. I ordered the crêpes (strawberry and banana), and my husband got the club. Our waitress was Beatriz and she was great. The coffee might put hair in my chest but that s ok. Open one in New Braunfels! So much better than the Dennys we originally had in mind . Not to hate on Dennys, but ya know how it is .

My 1st time going would have gotten this place 5 stars all the way around. I decided to go back a 2nd time before giving a review to see if the food & service were consistently good. The shrimp & grits never disappoints. I decided to sit at the bar because it is where you can truly get an idea of of the service experience. It was evident that someone was there right before us, so I asked the bartender to wipe our places and she merely took a dry towel and pretended to wipe. I asked her was the towel sanitary because it looked dry. She lied and said yes with an attitude. I then asked for the towel to better wipe our spots and she just walked away and asked the other bartender to wait on us. Thank God because she was way more polite and willing to help... Bartender #2 saved this review from being 2 stars. Bravo

This place was not good at all I will say that the service was bad, we got seated and waited about 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to get our order and the food was just not it the pancakes were very mushy and doughy and the hash browns were more like mashed potatoes also the coffee was cold and tasted old too, on top of that I also got orange juice but the cup was dirty like it hadn t been cleaned properly.. overall if you like unflavored food don t come here instead try first watch it s actually delicious with amazing service.

It was my first time trying The Toasted Yolk and my goodness. It did not disappoint. The wait time was minimal. Everyone on staff was friendly and happy to be there, and the service was excellent. Ms. Kayleigh was our waitress, and she was super sweet and attentive. We got banana and strawberry pancakes and the portion was enough for me and my hunny to enjoy!!!! The shrimp and grits are heavenly!! We also had their pineapple mimosas and they were delicious!! We dont live in that area but this The Toasted Yolk is one everyone around town should eat at!

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for some breakfast. Very nice and clean establishment. Staff was very nice and attentive. The food was good. The jalapeno in the waffle added just the right amount of kick and even better once I slathered it with syrup. Coffee was horrible. I thought it was just me and didnt complain but I overheard another table complaining to the waitress that something was off with the coffee. Other than that, I am full and satisfied. The pancakes had good flavor almost like cinnamon. The hash brown casserole is good and I like that it has no onions or peppers. The thing that stood out the most was the service! We re a brunch family all the way. So we ve made a point to visit all the brunch restaurants in the area, and this is the best one! The apple granola French toast is delicious. My boyfriend loves their omelette. I always get a hot chocolate because they re rich and the mugs are large. We ve never had service issues, and when there is a wait, it is not long. Normally we absolutely LOVE this location, the food, the atmosphere, everything!! But this is the 2nd time within a month that the service has truly caught us off guard. We went yesterday, Sunday the 23rd, for a lateee breakfast. We walked in at 2:20p. The barstools were in the middle of the floor so I asked the hostess if we were allowed to sit at the bar. She looks at me and says yeahhhh, I suppose... so confused I asked if we needed to sit somewhere else. She then replies with I mean yeah you can, were just about to close, thats all. I look at my watch and ask, what time do yall close, she said 3pm. It was 2:20!! Plenty of people were still sitting inside, and still being served. But she seemed extremely put out that we asked to be seated. So we just left instead. The food was mediocre at best. I got the fried green tomatoes. Very mushy and over fried. Some parts where too hard to even chew. The Bloody Mary was one of the worst I have ever had. I asked for an extra shot and still couldn t taste the vodka. Not to mention the tomato juice was over powering with nothing but pepper added to the mix. For a $22 drink it is a shame I left over half there. My son got the donuts and they seemed to be fine.

Finally had a chance to bring my boyfriend here. I had a solo date here once and the mimosa and food where good. Brought the family, we were promptly seated. I had a benedict with the chicken in it. OMG, so delicious! I recommend 100%. I usually dont finish my meals, but I managed to eat everything on my plate. I thought about taking it home, but you know its never the same rewarmed. The boys had: oatmeal and a bf plate which included pancake, eggs, hashbrowns. Pancake was good and hashbrowns casserole, suprisingly good. I had my doubts when I saw it, but I was pleasently surprised. Also no pic of meals, we dove right in and ate.

We were excited to try out Toasted Yolk. This place is a popular destination for breakfast and lunch, Sunday at 10:30 there was a 20 minute wait. The menu is promising with unique specialties and classics with a twist. We ordered the east coast Arnold and the Cordon Blue breakfast sandwich. The food was fresh, but lacked any flavor. The poached eggs had running egg white and the crab cakes did not remind of any seafood at all. The hashbrown casserole was tasty. The cappucino and cold brew was excellent! Unfortunately, with this price level for breakfast you expect tasty flavors. Service was excellent, however the sewer smell in the dining room isnt exactly inviting. Two of us went out he wanted breakfast. I wanted lunch. This was the perfect place. It was more like brunch time of day. Food was fresh, colorful and delicious. I only could eat half of my sandwich and didn t even touch the side salad. That was a very large portion. He said the French toast was excellent and the salsa had a nice kick to it. I have been here before and it is just as good as I remembered excellent job guys. The service was wonderful very friendly and quick. I ll keep you posted on what comes next. See you guys later. Lain Parking: During the week early in the morning, even for lunch is not too bad but on the weekends, the parking is very difficult not to many places unless you really wanna walk further and they are rather tight

We have been going to the League City location almost weekly since grand opening. Food is generally good, but it s gone downhill lately. They switched from 80 s music to country (boo!). The frozen drink machine has been broken for ages. It s time to find a new favorite place.

6/08/23: Got here at 9AM and this not too full but quickly seated. Our waitress, Stephanie was great at attending us. The food was really good and quickly served. Place is really clean and spacious. I cant help giving The Toasted Yolk all 5 stars!!! I was pleasantly surprised! I didnt have to complain about salt here, the food was right and delicious. I ate far more than I have eaten all my trip to the US time. I didnt quite like the coffee but it must have been my taste buds. My sister was fine with the taste. The omelette was just right! No overwhelming taste, just perfect. The pancakes were fluffy fight and the whipped butter was great. I have never had grits before and this was my first experience and I liked it. The staff were wonderful and kept checking in on us. I loved the scripture quote at the entrance. This is certainly the place to go for breakfast. Highly highly recommended!!! I look forward to my next experience

Amazing food and service today as always though, today at brunch with my family I could easily over hear a man screaming about the waitresses in the back. I could hear him slamming around plates and even heard glass shattering I could definitely tell all the waitress where very upset and on edge and seemed upset. The waitresses have always been sweet and attentive when we come for brunch and hope that all is ok.

The TY is one of our favorites. The food here is so good. I ve had several of their egg benedicts and they have all be great. The brisket tacos and the potato hash is the best. A little bit on the pricey side for breakfast but it s really good so we keep coming. Make sure and get on the waitlist early online so you don t have to wait too long as it can get pretty crowded.

I ve been here a few times and it s always good food and service. They have all the basic breakfast options and some brunch items. Everything has always been good. Once it hits brunch time on the weekends there is going to be a wait so be prepared for that. I haven t experienced much of a wait earlier in the morning though.

Wasn t going to make this review but we came here twice and the first time our food was off and they kept forgetting parts of our order. But theeeen the second time we went as a group of 15 and there was hair in about half of our dishes. We told them about it and at first they just said sorry and then decided to deduct from our order. We had an amazing time here. My wife had the Toasted Yolk and thoroughly enjoyed it. I tried the California Style Eggs Benedict, and it was amazing. Great taste and some spice to it, which was perfect, and the hashbrown casarole was tasty as well. Mimosa was nice and strong, but FYI, they cant serve alcohol until 10 am. The service was great, the staff was upbeat and happy to be there. I would definitely come back. Kid-friendliness: Its a breakfast spot, so its definitely kid friendly.

First time there, good music, super sweet and welcoming staff, fast on orders and food, food was fresh and tasted better than I expected it to and was not at all a bad time! Definitely recommend! And if you collect oddities, cups included like I do, they have these beautiful bad boys (comes in 3 colors but i didnt have the 3rd for the pic) that you get hot cocoa in and they sell off! Was overall one of the best experiences I have had trying a new place! Go see!

Nice, clean, local, and friendly. Pros: fast seating, food is tasty and interesting, kids like the food, clean Cons: too loud, staff was slow to get us a check. I m a single guy with three kids 14, 10 and 5. I took my two younger kids with me here for breakfast after a baseball game at Bug League Dreams. On a Sunday morning at 10:00 am we were seated immediately. Spacing in good and the place is clean with photos of local attractions on the walls which gives it a local feel. The mean was just right for me not too overwhelming but a nice selection of options. They offer a nice selection of Eggs Benedict my favorite which they call Arnold s for some reason. All the options sounded good my choice on this day, the Arnold southwest was tasty with just a slight bit of spice. I would get it again, personally I like more spice but as an off the menu item it more spice then I expected. The hash browns that came with it were good but were cheese hash browns. To me hash browns are Waffle House hash browns. Crispy just potatoes and butter unless I ask for more. My kids had pancakes and they liked them. When I asked they said, they were not as good as IHOPE but they are good. The place is loud country music was a bit to loud and the high ceilings with no insulations made the place too loud for us to hear each other. I would go back because the place is clean, service is fast, and food was good.

Ok, I love Toasted Yolk. Not impressed with this particular one though. When we went it was not real busy, but the food preparation was rushed at the cost of quality. Medium eggs came over easy, omelette was undercooked (runny inside!), potato casserole undercooked (cold inside!!!). The other ones we have been to were outstanding! Folks there very nice, the restaurant was bright and and clean, all good there. But I would rather wait a few more minutes for better prepared food. I think I will go to the other Toasted Yolk restaurants instead of this one tho.
