1st time customer: sat at the bat and got drinks without ice; had to ask for ice. Ordered a specific brand of vodka and noticed that a different brand was being poured when we were told that they had the brand that was requested. When confronted, was told .....this is the brand (brand Y) we use whenever we run out of brand X. Why didnt you tell us that you ran out of brand X??? we asked. Absolutely no reply. Ordered some tacos before the vodka fiasco....the order recieved was incorrect. Decided to just have one more round of drinks (settled for brand Y since thats all they had): Brand Y vodka apparently finished so all we got was just soda water...AS IF WE WOLDNT NOTICE!!! Absolutely shocking service! The place was less than lively during dinner and I completely understand why! Im unable to award zero stars because thats what this service deserves! This level of deception is deep!

This was my first time eating here, and I have no complaints at all! I was quick to be seated as soon as I get there, and within seconds I had my drink! Chips and salsa were served as well, you could tell they were fresh. I went for their Appetizer Sampler, must say I enjoyed. I highly recommend it if you don t ever know what to get. Comes with nachos, quesadillas, flauta, chicken tenders, chicken wings, and stuffed jalapeños. 10/10 visit, and I will most definitely be back.

Terrible service, I ordered some tacos and the poyo tasted suspicious, possibly dog or rat meat, and the bathrooms are horrible, there is no paper and the enchiladas dont have rice. One day I went with my brother and they discriminated against him for being dark-skinned. Besides, it smells ugly and the staff is very handsome but it looks like they dont pay well

Our waiter was excellent! However, the food was absolutely disappointing. The chili relleno was extremely greasy and the shredded beef quesadilla was mainly fat. Our waiter apologized and tried his best to rectify things and he was assured he had nothing to do with the food quality. I do not recommend this restaurant.

My recent visit to Pedros Tacos & Tequila Bar in Port Arthur left much to be desired. From the tasteless food to the peculiar salsa, it was an overall disappointing dining experience. The most significant letdown was the flavor or rather, the lack thereof of the food. The dishes I ordered were bland, lacking the vibrant and authentic flavors one would expect from a restaurant claiming to specialize in tacos and tequila. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase the rich and diverse tastes of Mexican cuisine. To make matters worse, the salsa provided with the chips seemed to have taken inspiration from spaghetti sauce rather than anything remotely resembling traditional salsa. The odd flavor profile clashed with the expectation of a zesty, tomato-based dip, leaving me perplexed and unsatisfied. The service did little to redeem the experience. The staff seemed disinterested, and the overall atmosphere lacked the warmth and enthusiasm that one hopes for when dining out. In summary, Pedros Tacos & Tequila Bar Port Arthur failed to deliver on its promise of a flavorful and enjoyable dining experience. With tasteless dishes and salsa that resembled spaghetti sauce, this visit left a lasting impression, but unfortunately, not a positive one.

It breaks my heart to leave this review. I have been here dozens of time and have spent hundreds of dollars. However at my last visit I was served raw chicken on a happy plate. Its a thin strip of fajita served on rice with queso. Have eaten this dozens of times. IT WAS RAW. completely raw. I had food poisoning for 2 days. The thing that bothered me was Nelson the manager who I know should have made amends, instead he only comped the meal. But they acted like it was no big deal. We went to eat as a family on Sunday. Service was good. Food was alright. The issue was after. I don t think I left a tip on the receipt because my brother in law and sister said they left more then enough. Tuesday morning at 6:30am I get a notification stating a tip has been added to my total. I called the restaurant Tuesday evening because I wanted to verify if I did or not leave a tip before accusing anyone of anything. They said they would look for original receipt and call me back. They didn t call, so I called today (9/13). I talked to the manager. Manager says they must have thrown away the receipt because they couldn t find it (so how did they know tip amount ?) and I would have to talk to the waiter to get it figured out because he has nothing to do with it since he wasn t our waiter. I told him as a manager he should be getting to the bottom of it. He said it has nothing to do with him. It was $15, so not a huge loss. But it s the principle of the matter.

Had lunch from the lunch menu. Between 4 of us we tried S1 and S2 on the menu. Back up for a minute. We started off with chips and salsa. Chips were ok but we had what seemed was the bottom of the bag. Largest chips were hard to hold they were so small. Salsa was what seems to have been ragu spaghetti sauce. No seriously thats what we all agreed it tasted like and consistency was. Main course was covered in the spaghetti sauce and wasnt at all what we expected...not in a good way. Menu is entirely to large. To many choices for anything to be spectacular IMHO.

At one time under a different name, this was one of our fav Mexican Restaurants to dine at. That restaurant closed and under new ownership it opened as Pedros. This is our experience; well lit ample parking to avoid door dings, Bright Festive entrance, Greeted by a Friendly Hostess and the Manager upon entering. Clean and Updated Restaurant. We were seated promptly, and were immediately served Chips and Salsa with their neat little Robot. Our server came to our table and took our drink orders. We were given unrushed time to look over the menu even though we were in the last hour of the night. We ordered the Beed Empanadas, the Beef Fajita Chimichanga, and 2 Bean with Guacamole Tostadas. We visited this place for the first, last and only time today. I got ordered the taco salad and the other person in my party ordered fajitas with a side of shredded cheese. When our food came out, the other person in my party didnt receive the cheese he ordered and my taco salad had 15 shreds (I counted) of cheese on it. He told the server (different from the one who took the order) the cheese he ordered was missing and the server went to check on it. In the meantime, I noticed my taco salad had 15 shreds (I counted) of cheese on it and the meat was a meat paste, akin to what you would get at Taco Bell. Maybe thats just their recipe I dont know, but it was greasy, runny and just overall unappealing. Even so, I wasnt going to complain about it, I just wanted more cheese than 15 shreds. I called over our original order taker and pointed out the lack of cheese on my salad, told him Id keep it, just bring more cheese, please. And I also reminded him that we still never received the cheese the other person in my party ordered for his fajitas. By this time 15 minutes had passed and both plates were cold. The original server finally came back with the side of cheese we ordered for the fajitas, but said the kitchen said thats how the salad comes (with 15 shreds of cheese, apparently), but he would call the manager over if I wanted him to. I said, Yes, please. When the manager (Nelson) came over, I clarified this is NOT the servers fault, but look this is how much cheese my salad came with, Ill keep the salad, just bring more cheese for it please and the kitchen had said no. The manager (Nelson) said thats right, thats how it comes and no, hes not going to do anything about it. I said fine then take the salad back and take it off our ticket. He also refused, saying, You cant have it taken off your ticket. Im not going to do that. So after this flaming display of inflated sense of self-importance brought on by his Manager title, I went to the hostess booth and asked her for the name of the manager/general manager/owners name because I had a complaint. She asked if I wanted her to call the manager on duty (Nelson) over and I told her no, I want the name of his manager. As were talking Nelson comes over and directs her, in Spanish, not knowing that Im fluent in Spanish, to stop talking to me and go tend to other things. I made him aware that I do speak Spanish and he could have said what he had to say in English because, either way, it was understood. He asked if he could help me and I told him no, he obviously cannot help me and that I was asking the hostess for the name of the manager/general manager/owner. He said, Im the boss. I said, No youre not the boss. Youre the manager on duty and you work for somebody. He kept repeating, Im the boss , as if any complaints anyone has would not go beyond him and he was the Be All/End All of that establishment. I advised him to brace himself for the review he was going to get, paid our ticket and left. Never at any point did he apologize, offer to rectify anything or offer to be accommodating in any way. To add insult to injury, he had the most vile attitude and demeanor while he was refusing to be or do any of those things. We eat out several times a week and never, do you hear me, NEVER in our lives, have we encountered this level of unprofessionalism, horrific attitude and blatant disregard for patrons that we experienced in this establishment. And all he had to do was bring more damned cheese! Thats it! A side of shredded cheese to add to my salad. Instead, he choose to allow this petty situation to escalate to the point where I am sitting here typing this review that I am going to share far and wide on every platform across the Internet that I can find to share it to and as often as I can share it. Nelson is bad for business. Hes really bad for business. And so are reviews like these.

He made sure we didnt run out of anything and made sure with a thumbs up it was all good. The place is beautiful and the prices werent bad. I got a shrimp taco salad it was pretty good. Im use to having some refried beans at the bottom and they dont do that here. One special is 2 for one margaritas that I had to get. Between 2 to 6 pm. The manager did visit our table a few times to check on us. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful restaurant, but very disappointing food. My combo didnt come w rice . what mexican restaurant doesnt always provide rice and beans on the side? So i had some of my hubbys and it was white people mexican rice. All the meat in my combo of an enchilada, crispy taco and tamale was the exact same meat. Im assuming they use the same pot of meat for everything. There was no LOVE put into this food. We literally laughed at our food. But waitress was sweet and our cocktails were ok. I took my food to go for my hubby for his lunch. $16 for a plate of mostly refried beans to make me think its alot of food was very deceiving. And their red sauce tastes like its from a can. Our ancestors are rolling in their graves about this place. The expensive menu is paying for the decor in this restaurant. We r still on a mission to find a real Mexican restaurant in Port A.

Awesome place! Staff was friendly, patient, and inviting. The little robot that brings your chips and salsa was adorable! One of the stronger house margaritas of all the surrounding Mexican restaurants and their Birria tacos were amazing! Will definitely be back! Warning if you ask if something is spicy you are told no but it is very spicy. Also, most queso dips are not spicy. I only took one bite. Even said something to waitress and shift lead that came to table to check if everything was good. Lead couldnt get away from the table fast enough. They wouldnt even think about taking it off. To me when a place wont even think about comping off a dip due to a issue they are desperate for the all mighty $$$. If they keep that up I will not be surprised if they are closed up for good within 6 months. Just my thoughts.

The girl that took my order was rude and ripped my daughter off. She told me $37.43 and when order, got there to pay for it and pick it up she charged her card $45.70. and we didn t get everything we order and my steak fajitas nachos wasn t steak fajitas nachos they put it on there self to fix Nachos Carne. As soon as I called to report it they hung up and when tried calling back the picked it up and hang up. I do not recommend this restaurant

The waiter robot thing is pretty cool and the port Arthur guacamole (it has grilled pineapple and bacon in it!) is really good. The rest of the meal and margaritas? Hard pass. It wasn t good at all. The ceviche tasted like lemon fabulouso was poured in it.

This is a hidden Gem!! Must try! The location is great because its right off the highway, infront of the mall. I feel like its centrally located. We have been 3 times in less than 2 weeks! Our 1st visit we were on the way home from the south East Texas State Fair. I tried to call the order in Togo but they wouldnt answer the phone. When we got there it was not busy so I dont know? My husband and I shared a Fajita burrito to go. My sister chose quesabirria and my brother chose enchiladas. The service was fast had it out in less than 15 minutes. The burrito was really large, I absolutely love the queso that they used on it! The fajita meat was also really good. The second time we went back we had queso crawfish with chips! Oh and the salsa is warm (temperature wise) not really spicy but very good. It reminds me of like Toastitos salsa I had a sangria Margarita on the rocks. My husband had a regular margarita large. The margaritas are good! They come out dressed with orange, Lemon and a purple flower. For our main meal we shared quesabirria. Highly recommend it!!! Its like shredded brisket inside of a totrtia. There is this red dipping sauce that goes with it. The meat is tender, moist, juicy, and literally MELTS in your mouth. Its so flavorable. We couldnt decide on a dessert so we each got our own. My husband chose the tres leches. He loved it! I thought it was okay. Chuys Mexican resurant has better tres leches. I chose the sopapillas! They were really good. Dusted with brown sugar and cinnamon. I chose to have chocolate and carmel drizzled over them. Then it came with a little cup of honey to dip it in. Im a big fan of Just plain sopapillas with butter and honey (because Of ponchos ) these were still good. Our 3rd time to visit for the appetizer, we had queso chorizo!! Oh, it was amazing if you love Cheeses get this!!! Its warm and gooey Very cheesy and a hint of spice from the chorizo without being overpowering. We ordered the same margaritas as before. Except this time I got a large instead of a small. For our Main meal we shared an enchilada dinner. I cant remember exactly the name of it but it had one chicken, one beef and one cheese enchilada. They were all really good my favorite was the cheese . I will tell you that I normally dont like the red/chillie sauce that mexican restaurants put on enchiladas. Well since my husband and I were sharing it I went ahead and left it on there. I did not regret it at all Im not sure what kind it is but its so good it gave the enchiladas another depth of flavor. We didnt order any dessert this time because it was my little brothers birthday we had cake. They have a really cool little robot cat that runs around and delivers chips and salsa, I believe it also delivers food too. The decorations are very modern, sleek with a lot of white. I have large tvs on the wall to watch and all around the bar area. The restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms are very clean. I really believe that the reason that they are not busy Has to do with all the mexican restaurants in that area. Those restaurants have been there for a long, long time. People are creatures of habit. They are going to go to their favorite mexican restaurant. I really hope that people will give this restaurant a try. Going here last was our first experience, but definitely wont be the last! The seafood chimichanga OMG SO GOOD! My date had the shrimp quesadilla plate. Usually, we go out he doesnt finish his food he ate everything but the plate. Now on to the margaritas I had the dragon fruit it was delicious and definitely the right amount of alcohol. He had the watermelon we had 2 a piece. It was definitely worth every penny, and the robot waiter was cool rolling around. Great place all around!!!!

So clean it smelled like bleach which is good considering the mold on the ceiling in the ladies room. The robots are creepy and loud in my opinion.
