Came here for my sons fourteenth birthday, and the food was absolutely amazing. To quote him, the escargo was exquisite. The owner is charming and funny and an absolute gentleman. Really great atmosphere and the most well stocked bar Ive ever seen.

By far the best restaurant around! Great ambiance with exceptional food and service. The smoked salmon appetizer is divine. We had the salmon and stroganoff, both were delicious. This is the worst dinning experience my family has had since moving to the area. We visited on Christmas day. It was a very sloppy buffet, with few items available. What was most disappointing the food was not prepared WELL, plus the warm food was COLD and the cold food was WARM. Be cautious when planning your reservations. Costly and not worth the price of admission.

Great experience! My girlfriend has been there before, but it was my first time. It was excellent all the way around. The owner greeted us, seated us, and kept following up with us. The waiter (I hope I spell it right?) Naksim was fantastic, as well. Even his colleague would check on us. The food was excellent...she got the filet mignon & I got the filet medallions (there was a fancier French name that escapes me). The date cake was off the menu, and EXCELLENT!!! Even if you dont like dates, its worth a try. :). We got lucky on a beautiful night, and I had reserved the patio. Only thing I would recommend is maybe an acoustic guitar player or some entertainment, but not a deal breakers whatsover.

Went here for a birthday dinner, LOVED IT! The view was nice, the atmosphere great, and the food was incredible. I had the bacon-wrapped quail to start (must try!), the steak frites for the main course, and the bread pudding for dessert. The food was all delicious and well presented; absolutely lovely experience. Also spent some time talking to the owner, great guy, fun to talk to, and made us feel so welcome. As someone who runs restaurants, this is one I am happy to patron and Ill be back soon. If you go, tell them Austin Mane sent you!

Absolute great food, drinks, and service, a perfect evening to celebrate our engagement. The steak was her favorite of the night. very tender, moist, and rich. It practically melted in our mouths! If you are a black person please AVOID this restaurant. I was reached out to by the manager to come in for an interview. Throughout the interview the owner repeatedly insulted my intelligence and undermined me. He repeatedly told me that he believed it would take me 6+ months to learn the menu, despite me working as a server at a fine dining steakhouse for SEVERAL years. He goes on to say that he doesn t believe that I ll be able to remember daily specials or the wines that they offer. I m very confused as to how he came to that conclusion. I have worked as a server for several years, why would I not be able to remember a menu? He told me he could offer me the position but it would be a waste of his and my time. He also stated that I wouldn t make any money and that it would take me at least 6 months to make $100 a night. And that I didn t have the experience despite him reaching out to me to come in for an interview.This was by far the most unprofessional and rude interview I have ever been to. I can t help but believe that my race played a role in his disgusting behavior. He was extremely pleasant over the phone and on indeed but I did NOT get that same respect in person. I would steer clear of this restaurant.

Food was delicious, wouldn t change a thing! Crabcake is fantastic, definitely a must try. Absolutely beautiful place, love the back patio view. The only thing that was a bit off putting and they need to work on, was the communication style. We felt very rushed, we weren t greeted in a welcoming way and there wasn t a lot of smiling. Our table was pointed at, and the guy walked off (I actually think he was the owner of manager so no use complaining). Service was fast and we never were wondering where anything was, but at the end, there was a gratuity HAND written in on our ticket. That boiled my blood. That s no longer a gratuity, but a forced fee. It s the server s loss though, because we always tip graciously and what he wrote in was about 22%, where we normally tip at least 25%-30%. The machine already prints out suggestions for gratuity, which is fine, but there was absolutely no reason for that.

This is our favorite restaurant, and we always have dinner or brunch here when we are visiting from Little Rock. The foie gras is my absolute favorite dish, and it never disappoints. I love the beet salad as well. I think we have tried almost everything on the menu, and it is all wonderful. They always take exceptional care of us, and we appreciate Lena and Naseem so much. They are the perfect professional waitstaff. Never a bad experience. Kid-friendliness: Not a place for children.

Visited this very nice high end restaurant over the Mother s Day weekend, 2024. I must admit everything was delicious and the atmosphere was very ambiance. The service of Carlos and management were prompt and outstanding. Best cocktails ever. However, the lightening in the restaurant was a little overwhelming (very dark). I realize fine dining in a Steak and Seafood restaurants is important, but some areas were too dark. Also, my main entree was room temperature and not served hot (temperature wise) enough for my pallet. This is not a meal that goes in a microwave to become hot, it would destroy the full flavor of the meal. Other than that, great restaurant, and a very beautiful area of Dallas.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary this evening at Mignon. This was our first time here. I am French and a French cuisine home cook so I was excited to taste the food! We started off with some cocktails (we had 4 between us) which were delicious! We moved right on with the foie gras. As a French person, I ve never had it warm and seared so it was a very pleasant treat. Luckily my cocktail was slightly sweet which paired well with the butteriness and umami of the foie gras. My husband and I each ordered the beef wagyu filet mignon. I paired mine with a peppercorn brandy cream sauce and truffle oil pomme frites with a glass of French Bordeaux. My husband also had a wagyu beef filet and paired his with a lobster tail, grilled asparagus and oyster mushroom medley. I ended with a cappuccino and he opted for the crème brûle. We both really enjoyed the food. It was definitely one of the best steaks I ve had. My only two criticisms are that one, the bread isn t a true baguette. It s made to look like a small baguette about the size and shape of a hoagie roll. But it didn t taste like a baguette. The bread was not bad by any stretch. It just wasn t a baguette. The inside was very dense as opposed to the more airiness and fluffiness in a baguette. My second criticism is that they had the bass turned up super high in the jazz music they had on. It also didn t help that we were sitting under a speaker and that bass was just vibrating that speaker. It was distracting when we first sat down but then we just adapted to it. All in all I m giving Mignon a 8/10. We will definitely be back! Oh and bring a credit card with a high limit! All joking aside, it is pricey. We figured with the wagyu and the drinks alone would be at least $400-$500. It was not. It was $915 before tip. Now, we are foodies and we always go somewhere really good on our anniversary. I m dying to know how much those steaks were! They weren t even on the menu. But my husband didn t grab the itemized receipt. So bottom line, if you have a special occasion coming up and you don t mind paying for quality then this is the spot. We will definitely be back! Oh and Carlos our waiter, was fantastic! Kid-friendliness: This restaurant encourages people not to bring kids. They are not kid-friendly in that they don t have high chairs or booster seats or kids menus.

Service and atmosphere were decent, food was good quality but the flavoring just wasnt delicious. My friends beef Wellington tasted like Wet Dog. I got the 2 Filets, one tasted of soy sauce and the other had a very sweet cheese sauce that gave cupcake not steak. Neither of us finished our meals. Brussel sprouts fries were good... Drinks were fantastic. My second time here- probably wont be back because flavors were so off.

This is 2 reviews in one. We try to make Mignon part of every visit to the Dallas area. We have recently been to Mignon twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. In both cases, the management and staff could not possibly have worked any harder to make our visit perfect. The service is always outstanding. We both ordered specials the night we went for dinner. I had the beef Wellington and my wife had the venison with some sort of blueberry sauce. Both dishes were excellent. We arrived fairly late but never felt at all rushed by the staff or servers even though we have appetizers, mains, and finally dessert and coffee. The second trip was for brunch. We thought we had made our selections from the online brunch menu but when we arrived we learned we could also order from the dinner menu AND there were also specials. Again, the service and food were excellent. I must mention that Mignon is expensive, but I always leave feeling very satisfied with the food and service received. The best reference I can make is that we are headed there again tomorrow for brunch.

One of the worst overall experiences. Youd think an expensive high-end restaurant in Plano, TX would provide great food and service. Well, youd be wrong. Food was very mediocre, steak came overcooked and barely warm. The manager made inappropriate remarks about my wifes age (it was her birthday dinner). The waiter burned my one year old granddaughter with hot chocolate. And to add insult to injury, they automatically added a 22% tip at the very end. P.S. The place was practically empty on a Friday night, that should of been a red flag right if way.

My bib salad was really good and the steak was perfectly prepared at a medium rare. Happy I came back, it was worth it for sure. ///// The bartender tonight was a Rockstar! This was our first time to visit Mignon and it was magnificent! Cocktails and wine list were top notch. We split a Tomahawk and Lobster tail for the table, desserts and Carajillos after dinner were fantastic. The staff was attentive to our every desire and need, and the ownership of the restaurant was onsite and checking in with everyone throughout the night. Mignon has a wonderful and elegant atmosphere. Its quiet and comfortable, immediately inviting you to relax and enjoy your time. We had two steaks here, the filet and the ribeye, and both came out perfectly. While other places might serve their steaks with some variations in temperature, both the steaks we had were perfectly medium-rare all throughout. They were also seasoned just enough to accent the taste of the steaks, without ruining or overpowering that natural flavor. Though the steaks are certainly the best part, the rest is no less wonderful. We had Calamari for the appetizer and it was easily the best weve had, crispy and firm on the fried exterior and juicy inside. The sides were no less good, especially the vegetables which were fresh and given just enough seasoning to be savory, without being too much. The drinks were also expertly mixed and tasted fantastic. The service is the equal to the food served here. Throughout our evening, our server, John, was attentive and friendly. He made sure that we had everything we needed and ensured that our evening was delightful. In particular, he was incredibly helpful whenever we had any questions about the menu and he was always on hand to attend to anything we had. Overall, this was a memorable experience and one we will definitely repeat!

First this is real fine dining not a loud over priced steak house. Thw armosphere is perfect for intimate dinners with friends. Terrible customer service. I was overcharged and when I talked to the owner Nick for a refund he refused to help. I had to speak with his employee, Shelley who made excuse after excuse and finally lied about pricing although I had it in writing. Make sure to double-check your receipt and DO NOT leave if there is a discrepancy. We had a dinner party here on 10/21 and I received a partial refund on 11/1. I was charged for four additional people who werent at our party and overcharged for drinks. When I asked Nick why he charged me for more people than were at the party, he explained that he had bills to pay! Buyer beware, food is ok but not as good as other high end dining options.

Not just a great dinner place, but a GREAT Sunday Plano BRUNCH spot! Ive been dining at Mignon for dinner for years, and always a great experience! Who can resist this 28oz porterhouse from the other night. I ate it all in one sitting! Not one bite was left. Dont judge me However, only recently realized that Mignon is open for SUNDAY BRUNCH!?! As anyone reading this review knows, Brunching in the DFW is akin to a religious experience. On the 7th day, we BRUNCH - And there are few things as delightful as kicking off the week with Sunday Brunch at Mignon! Check out their eggs benedict! They have an extensive brunch menu, but just in case youre in the mood for regular fare, their entire menu is available as well! Cant beat the choices!

When I was 12, one of the owners, Nick, took me into the kitchen and gave me a tour on easter morning. I still remember that so well and every time we have a special occasion, Mignon is our go-to! We have been coming to Mignon since it opened. We celebrated our five year anniversary there in one of their circular booths with wonderful view of outside. We are planning to celebrate our 30th there also next year. We love going to Mignon for fun drinks at the bar or dining in the restaurant on their delicious French food. My husband loves the Pommes Frites more than me!. We have also used their private room for our adult sons birthday with his friends. Timeless beautiful ambience and Nick always says Hello everytime we are there.

Whether its sitting in the bar on a Friday night, pampered in the main dining room or celebrating my 60th in their private dining room, I have never been disappointed in the hospitality, service or food. If youre a first time visitor or regular customer, Nick and his friendly and professional staff will ensure your experience will be memorable. The atmosphere has a French Bistro feel to it, which is always a perfect setting for a romantic dinner, a friends get together or a last minute meal. As for the food . . . I have had most everything on the menu and have always been extremely satisfied. I tend to lean more to the steaks, with my go-to being the Prime Steak Frites (youll love the bulb of roasted garlic that comes with it). If you still have room left for desert, try the Creme Brûlée or Bread Pudding. Both are great. Overall, a great consistent dining experience, which is why its always on the top of my list when it comes to choosing a restaurant with my wife and friends.

This place is my favorite local small business. The staff are true professionals, ensuring my experience is missing nothing. My favorite is actually the sea bass. My husband loves steak and is very particular when it comes to his steak Mignon is batting 1000. I, on the other hand, am a vegetarian. What does a steak house have for a vegetarian? Just ask. They have yet to disappoint. I can t help but get the wedge salad without bacon, and as for the entree: at this point, I ask for whatever the chef can make that evening that is meatless. I have yet to be disappointed. I come from a family of chefs and professional bakers, so I m a bit snooty when it comes to my food and desserts. When I say Mignon is the best, I absolutely mean it. And that was just discussing the food. The drinks? Oh là là les boissons sont magnifiques!!! Beyond the food and drinks and dessert, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Not only do they accommodate this vegetarian, but they do so willingly and graciously. Whenever we have out of state guests come to visit, this is where we bring them. I try to avoid writing a negative review but the owner of this restaurant left me with no other choice except to expose his business as not the place to go for a special occasion or even for dinner. He was the most racist, prejudice, and arrogant owner I have ever met in my entire travels and going out to eat. My wife is hispanic origin but American as you best can be, and well educated (graduate degree), and the most polite person ever. The owner made a comment to my wife that she needs to be careful when handling the wine glass as, according to him, it was an expensive glass. Mind you what my wife was wearing should send a clear message to any owner, if they are familiar with classy clothing and jewelry what can she afford or not. No matter what your background is and no matter what you wear, a customer should always be treated with respect and dignity. Unfortunately he spoiled our special occasion which I would never forget it for this owner. I will leave it at that.

We were looking for a nice date night spot that we d never been to before and happened upon Mignon. What a well kept secret this place is! We started with the mussels and watermelon salad which were fantastic, my red snapper was cooked perfectly, I m still dreaming about the sauce that it was topped with. My boyfriend ordered the Beef Wellington and could not get over the flakey crust, the best he s had. Aside from the food, our service is what really made the night so enjoyable. Our waitress Elizabeth took her time explaining menu items to us, and even suggesting the best wine pairings for what we ordered, we appreciate her patience as it was our first time. To end the night we split an order of their date cake which is an off menu item but definitely worth asking about(something we will be returning for), we can t wait to come and enjoy their patio during the day for Sunday Brunch. The most overpriced scam of a meal I ve ever had. Decor is dated. Paid 95 a plate for a meal on Valentine s Day and didn t like anything. Caesar salad was romaine leaves only and not enough dressing. The only thing I didnt like was that I made the reservation ahead and added that we were celebrating birthdays with no dessert recognition like we saw at the other tables. Automatic 20 percent for tip for our group of 5 and we were beyond PATIENT we get it but our server didn t even tell us his name. One will get far superior service in France, or any other French restaurant in the metroplex. Avoid this place at all costs. The service is extremely sub-par, the management is non-existent, the food is below average, and the atmosphere is food-court. Do yourself a favor and visit Lavendou Bistro Provencal down the street to the south, where they know how to treat a paying customer. The details of how poorly run this place is would create a manifesto. Theyve seen my last dime. To spend $300 a couple and leave angry at how one was treated is just a deal-breaker. The steak was spectacular and the service was not as pushy as other steak house service. They really took the time to hear me out on my order and answered every question and they made some wine suggestions for me to go with my stake. I will definitely be back!

This place is amazing.. From the wait staff to our server, from our food to the ACTUAL owner checking on us to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. I love this place and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered thePrime Filet Deux. So delicious and tender, Magnificent. My date had the Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass. The most amazing meal ever shared. Tender juicy delicious. A definite must 10/10 of place to eat for fine dining.

Excellent service. We sat outdoor next to the pond, very nice area. Frankly, it is not cheap but the steak is excellent. I have Ribeye steak & potatoes both of them I will rate 9 out of 10 score. My wife has halibut which is also very delicious. You got yo try Turismo (very soft & yummy). Good for special occasion.

I went to Mignon with my family and friends, in total with 3 kids. A few minutes after seat they just told us to leave, because according with their policy, only one kid per table is allowed! If you have kids, avoid this place!

Very bad, its my first time coming to eat at this place and it says it closes at 11 at night, I arrive at nine 42 at night and I still havent entered the restaurant and the Bartender comes out to tell me that the kitchen is closed and that The bar closes in 10 minutes, its not yet 10 pm and its already closed and the map says that they close at 11 pm

The hostess was genuinely friendly and took us to a nice table. The server, Amanda, was fun and attentive. We enjoyed her very much. The food was delicious. We both finished our plates. We had French Onion Soup, Fig & Prosciutto Salad, 8 oz. Filet with Frites & Au Poivre, the Boneless Ribeye with Truffled Potato Wedges, Bread Pudding with Butter Pecan Ice Cream, and a French Press Coffee. I also had a Hemingway cocktail and my husband had a half-bottle of wine. Both delicious. The ambiance had potential because the overall decor is lovely. It was disappointing to see so many guests in ball caps and t-shirts. It was more disappointing to see the television had OAN (One America News) on a loop at the bar. It was hard to ignore because the bar was nearly empty all evening, and the screen was in my line of view. I am not disappointed that the owner is into that. That s his right. It s also his right to have it on in his business. I just think that as an owner of a fine dining restaurant, the news isn t what anyone wants to see, regardless of the politics. I d say the same if it were CNN. Maybe more people would enjoy the bar if there was a neutral show or sports on the television.

One of my favorite fine dining restaurants in Plano area. The rack of lamb and mignon are delicious, the lobster macaroni and cheese cooked just right. It is a good place to celebrate special occasions, because it s definitely not cheap. The mash potato tasted like packaged mashed potato, which is disappointing. I think the drinks are a bit overpriced. I agree with the other reviewer, it s not a $$. We spent about $100 per person before tips.

5:30 p.m. Thursday night. The place was empty inside. Greeted by the Maitre d with do u have reservations? And we dont have a kids menu referring to our 5yr old daughter. Waitress was pleasant. Our salads were delicious. New York strip was a lil fatty but seasoned well.
