The service here is awesome, and the food tastes great. Its never the first menu that comes to mind when were going out, and nothing about the vibe ever reels us in from the sidewalk. All that said, were always glad we went.

They serve rice with pasta, put chicken wings on a bed of lettuce and their nachos are single tortilla chips with meat and cheese on top. Everybody is so creative!

I m so glad we chose this place! We are visiting from San Antonio and they caught my attention because it was open late and I said any place that has a sammich on their menu is worth checking out. Great friendly service and atmosphere. Delicious food and homemade honey mustard was so good.

I am perpetually disappointed with restaurant food because of its bland tastes. This place though - incredible!!! I had the Beef Santiago and the serving size was huge and the taste was beyond incredible. My daughter had a ham and chicken dish - once again the serving size was large and the taste hit every taste bud. We are headed back to South Dakota in two days but I hope to eat here again before we leave. Well done.

Cafe Gecko is amazing. They have Music bingo on Tuesday and karaoke on fridays. Every day though after 11 is half price apps and the shrimp chowder is my absolute favorite followed by any of the nachos especially the seafood nacho. The only thing missing is a pool table but right now its the best spot in downtown Plano so go see my favorite bartender parker and hell take good care of you.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Great covered patio, atmosphere, and friendly service. The food is really good, definitely try the blackened chicken on whatever you decide! We started with apps and ended with apps this time, soooo good!

Was treated as if I was an inconvenience for coming in to order a round of shots. I was served by Mazzie and I m not sure if my card was stuck in the Point of sales system or what the case may be but my card is now damaged and cracked at the magnetic strip. So now, did I not only have an unpleasant experience, but I m also having to wait for a new card to be issued and shipped to me by my credit union. My card was not damaged in any way, shape, or form before this transaction. I understand that people may have off days that they are not their best self, but if that s the attitude you re going to have, please call into work for the day or find another career.

Always wanted to come here since Ive heard so many good things. We came around lunch which was perfect since it tends to be crowded during the evenings. My friend wasnt drinking due to cancer treatments so our server Jessica (who didnt know this) served her plain water drink drink extra special with an umbrella and lime. This was so cute and thoughtful. We both ordered from the lunch menu where she had the Poblano Chicken and I had the Santiago Beef. Both were delicious and we couldnt eat another bite. The atmosphere was great since it wasnt crowded which made it perfect for conversation. There is a patio as well where you can catch the band playing or people watch. Will be coming back!!

Totally understaffed even though this is the 150th bday party downtown of the city this place is in. When we got here we were the second table. Waitress was already in the weeds. She also acted like she was on amphetamines. She forgot to put in our order. My and the wifes food has been on the table for 10 minutes. My kids are still waiting on theirs. As the waitress gets lost more and more in the weeds, as the number of tables grow, the bartender just looks lost and like he doesnt know how to help. Theres no one sitting at the bar. He could help but hes not. This place is a joke. Food wasnt even that great. No clue if what my kids order is any good. Its still not here yet

Stopped in for a drink. Took a snapchat picture of the moose head with Hawaii tourist attire on - some locals game me a nasty glare klikly thought I took a picture if them but could really care less about them, I slapped some snapchat text on their judgmental faces. Beer was good. Seemed clean. Bartender checked in on us between her discussions with her locals - good Bartender. Restroom was clean. Only down side they dont make cocktails or anything g like that but has a huge bottle of bitters which is misleading. LoL Maybe the Bartender just didnt want to do them or didnt know them or maybe they just stopped doing them. Who knows, didnt really get a chance to ask.

1 start is very generous. When the server showed up he wasnt rude but that was rare in its entirety. My friends and I wanted to eat and have a few drinks. After we were served our drinks, we were ignored the rest of the evening. We could have walked out and neither the server nor the bartender would have noticed for at least 30 minutes. Couldnt even order food...I asked for the bill. It took well over 20 minutes to bring the bill and I couldnt risk looking at the bill to let him walk away before paying. The drinks were not worth the price I paid and service was horrible. Save your money.

If I could give this restaurant a 0 I would . Food is top notch ! The service including the manager that runs it , a female , is rude and does not belong in a bar restaurant setting . She is way to young and does not know how to inter act with the older customers. If you have a complaint about service , she tells you to leave . Your order is messed up and you want it fixed , she tells you to leave . If a younger crowed comes in and they are bigger then you and your partner s table , You are ignored and god forbid you complain . You will be told to pay your tab and leave . Great food here , service, staff and the manager are low end bar or club staff. They only care about the young crowd and the people at the bar drunk . I hope the own of this locations reads this and reaches out so I can tell him my experience with this location .

I m not big on leaving reviews, but you can skip this location I came in for a late dinner Service was- in a word bad. Food is reasonably good, but the dishes came out at different times Server was pretty absent and reeked of nicotine There are way too many places around that are far better choices I suggest spending your time and money there instead of cafe gecko

This place is pretty decent. While its not somewhere that Im going to go out of my way to eat at, the food was good enough that if Im hungry and in the area that Id stop by. Didnt partake of the bar when I went, but it looks well stocked. I went at an off time, so the only person serving was also the bartender.

I forgot to take pictures. I had frozen margaritas and Raul Beef Quesadilla. I give 5 stars because the food is delicios. The staff is super friendly. The drinks are strong. Just a recommendation to the bar-restaurant, I remember you had games on the othe bar that it was located at Addison, bring some games to this restaurant too. I could have more fun with my friends like used to have when I was at Addison. Besides that, everything is great!!!

I ve been looking forward to this opening for a long time. I used to frequent the gecko in Addison and I see a lot of familiar faces. I love the staff. I love the food. I feel blessed to have Gecko right down the road. I highly recommend. Try the Chicken tortilla soup! It s my favorite in Dallas.
