Overall, very satisfied with my visit. I went around 2pm, so it was a little busy. I was seated promptly and was immediately brought chips and salsa. The drink special that day was their Rock margarita for $2. Seriously cannot beat that as far as pricing. I got the frozen margarita and on the rocks and both were delicious and strong. For food I got their Lunch special (which they have a really long lunch hour, from 11am-4pm). The Topolo combo I chose was Pick 2 (beef enchilada and taco dorado) and they were good. I would recommend you try this place out, killer drink specials and decent food. Customer service was top notch and everyone was very friendly.

I first visited Blue Goose in Plano years back, almost 2 decades ago. I liked it back then but did not return. I don t know why. Based on multiple positive reviews, I decided to visit a second time. We had to take our food to go but I d like to return and eat in. The restaurant looks really fun and the employees are super nice. I picked up on a Sunday. My order was ready early. Other customers were coming in to sit in the bar and watch the Cowboys game. We ordered a chicken fajita salad, a beef fajita salad, and slow-roasted brisket tacos. Our order came with a bag of tortilla chips and three containers of salsa. Everything was very good. Highly recommend!

This was my second visit to blue goose cantina.. been to their Irving outlet once and really liked their food. This time visited this place. Had hibiscus margarita, quesso with sour cream and guacamole, chimichanga which they customised to make it vegetarian. When they took the order they confirmed what is vegetarian and what not and based on that took we picked the items. Food was fresh good in portion and excellent service .

I recently went to Blue Goose Cantina with my boyfriend and as soon as we entered, the hostess was very nice and was quick to seat us. We were sat outside and since the sun was setting, the temperature was not too hot. Our server was a tall guy with curly hair and a nose piercing that offered chips and guacamole. At first I thought it was a free app but once I saw the menu, it was $10 for a regular scoop and chips. I know at other Tex-mex they charge for guacamole but the way our server explained it, it seemed like it was a free starter. During our meal, our server barely came to check up on us. There was another male server who was taking care of the whole outside section expect for our table so I figure our server had another section to take care of. Being in the restaurant industry, I understand it s annoying to have a table that s not in your section but it just seemed like he did not want to take care of us at all. I order the combo fajitas and I asked for more pico, not knowing it s extra $1.50 per one refill. Our server did not explain it s extra and even though I only said an extra pico, he brought out two in a cup smaller than those ketchup sauce cups. I didn t even touch the second pico and our bill had two picos charged on it. $3 for two small things of pico is kinda crazy. My boyfriend is usually a generous tipper since he s also been a server and every place we ve been to he has tipped at least 18-20%. However, he only tipped around 10% here due to the subpar service and no effort from our server to explain extra costs. The food was fine but if you ever go here and get the same server, ask to be sat in a different section.

We got mouth watering, irresistible food and incredible service from Gabby. The tomatillo salsa and queso are irresistible. We had migas and tacos for our meal. They were all delicious. Visited with a friend yesterday for dinner. We arrived about 6:30p and there was plenty of seating available inside and on the patio. We were seated right away and were brought chips and individual salsas right away. The cups of salsa were larger than what I m used to, which was nice. But more importantly, the salsa is amazing. It s flavorful, not too spicy, and I might have had two cups of this myself between with chips and on my entree. Their tortilla chips were salty and thin, and fresh - delicious. We also ordered the queso - it s yellow queso and was just okay, not nearly was flavorful as the salsa. The shrimp tacos were on the experimental menu, but looked good so we both ordered them. It was six street taco sized tacos with the little baby salad shrimp. There was plenty of shrimp, but I would ve liked more toppings. I couldn t really taste the avocado as the slices were very thin and missing from one taco. The sauce also wasn t very bold which is why I added salsa. They were good, but the standout of the meal was the chips and salsa. The service was good as well. Our drinks stayed full, and Jovanni was very patient with us. We had met in the middle of our homes so each drive about 45 minutes and we chatted for a bit after we paid. He still checked on us and didn t make us feel rushed at all. But we did tip accordingly :) Overall, it was a relaxed enjoyable evening in a clean restaurant with delicious chips and salsa. Will be back for sure. Blue Goose is FANTASTIC! Im Hispanic, I know Mexican food, and the Blue Goose serves QUALITY meat. The steak fajitas are tender with every bite. The charro beans are sooooo tasty. The LIME rice is wonderful! And my Fresco Tacos (fish) were outstanding! We also ordered the GingerLime Tacos as well, and they were also fantastic. Brisket Tacos - delish! The salsa has the perfect kick to it. I loved it! Allans Chicken Enchiladas were perfection. He said they were tender and not stringy. All six of us loved our entrées. We were very happy with our ordered and even though we wanted a dessert, we were all too full to eat another bite. We each got a To Go because the plates were so plentiful, we took some home. My fish taco came with 3 tacos. With the Charro beans and lime rice, it was sooo much, I brought home, charro beans, lime rice, and one taco. Lots of food; super generous servings. Ginger Lime Fish Tacos: Three open-faced, fried tilapia tacos served on char-grilled corn tortillas with fresh Haas avocados, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and a red cabbage carrot mix. Drizzled with zesty ginger sauce. TACOS FRESCOS: Three crispy blackened tilapia tacos, pico de gallo, jack cheese, and chipotle mayo. Served with poblano lime rice and black beans. The BLUE GOOSE is an impressive atmosphere. I love the soft blue neon lighting. Our server, Brooke, was great. One can call ahead and get on the wait list as you travel in. The food; the customer service; the ambiance; the prices, ALL 5 *************************** After the last three visits to Chuys and being served gristle, rubbery steak fajitas, IDK WHY we continued to go! Cold, bland, soggy and missing ingredients (no sour cream on the sour cream enchiladas and no chilis in the quesadilla. Chicken was dried out as well as tasted old. Basically it just says the kitchen doesnt care which is typical of most restaurants in DFW. This one is no different. To be honest its about what I expected. Back 10+ years ago BG was good. I moved to Dallas 20 years ago and built a home down the street in the M Streets. The BG was cool..great margaritas, fun staff, a GM that knew his guests and never great, but above average food. Now, the margs taste weaker...the food is worse than ever and the manager seems like a Deliverance banjo boy minus the banjo, but add a trash stache. Uncool, uncrowded, unlikeable. Waaay past its prime. Avoid at all costs. It has become a pure clown show with circus monkeys and Cro-Magnon apes as managers. The food is a laughable imitation of Tex-Mex, margs are among the worst in Dallas and you can go find 5 homeless people that would make better bartenders. Avoid.

Follow up visit from 6 months ago.... We went back in March with a party of 10 for lunch , and services were much better from the manager to wait staffs. They even gave us some complimentary dessert. We were there for lunch yesterday, group of 14(at first was 10 then 4 more decided to join us last minute). We got there at 1pm and their dining room was half full. We asked for a table for ten, we sat down and the chips started arriving . We found out 4 more ppl are coming, so we asked the waitress to add another table to accomodate 4 more. Waited for a few minutes no actions, flag down the waitress again and waited no action again, after a few more minutes the waitress came back with another lady(later found out is the manager, Yvonne). She was telling us they cant add another table( when there was an empty rectangle table n a round one around 12 -15 ft away) and if we want we can move out side to the patio or go back out to the waiting area and wait for available tables, and saying adding tables with block the doorway to patio , really!!! She was just giving us excuses, strict face no smiles at all. Then we all squeezed in for 11 ppl, and placed our orders. 2 more ppl came and they sat at the round table 15 ft away from us. Finally food came and all jammed on the table(a few order fajitas that took up space). We told the waitress that we are not enjoying our lunch at all, no elbow room to eat, and one more person still yet to arrive. Finally they added one more table so we can start spread out and eat and to fit one more person showed up finally. The other 2 decided to stay at the round table. The manager never stopped by to check on us. We were at BG back in August again started with 12 ppl and the wait staff were nice and added 2 more tables to accomodate 18 ppl , without blocking the doorway to the patio. We frequent BG alot, most of the time 5-8ppl. Only these last 2 times we doubled our group size. There are other restaurants near by that are happy to accommodate large group if BG is not willing to. I gave them one more star because at the end I asked the waitress for a to go box and a little chips too, and she came back quickly with a togo box, a bag of chips and even extra salsa, so she helped earn one more overall star. BTW, we went to Taverna Rosa in September, 15 of us all enjoyed our lunch with plenty of elbow room to eat.

One of our favorites for ages... It was different at the renovation /re-opening but they did an amazing job staying open with safe drive-up/pickup service and deals during the pandemic. We applaud their mask policies to keep folks safe and their options for seating. Of course the food is good from fresh tortillas, to brisket queso, kids meals, goose eggs, drinks and beyond! Sometimes the week is more tolerable just because theyre there Edited to add photos and more review info. Blue Goosehas held with us thru pandemic times, hectic school nights and quick runs for dinner. We lived in the neighborhood for a decade and ALWAYS felt welcome; come a bit less often now that we live across town, see new faces here and there but its still familiar, friendly and DELICIOUS. My family and friends love all the different seating options from the bistro tables to coastal themed booths, the family dining area booths and tables, the giant tables for groups or even outside on the covered patio! The bar is great for pickup and a quick snack/ drink or to hang out and watch sports. The covered patio is breezy for warm days and heated when its cold. The umbrella patio is really hit or miss as the chairs arent comfy and its often hot. Its a great place to stand around if you wanna tell over traffic/ sirens while you have drinks with friends ;) **I would beware on rainy days. The metal roof is very loud and leaky, the tile is SUPER slippery and they have a hard time keeping up with all the water (even with the bay doors closed). No matter what well keep bringing locals and out of towners alike to the Plano location probably forever!! PS. Order your queso with brisket. You can thank me later Parking: Parking will sometimes compete nearby restaurants and the movie theater but you can always park down by the fitness place and hike up the hill if you need to or drop off the fam and park North of everything. The premium spots up front arent even valet and sometimes available if youre patient ;)

This may be becoming our favorite Mexican restraint. The staff at this one is extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks dont go empty even on the busiest of days. The food is good was well, great flavor, lots of choices. Love the chips. Everything tasted so good. If you havent tried this place out, it is time for you to go in. I love this place.

Extremely unfriendly and racist staff. Waitress refused to serve us but did not specify why. She later collected everyone s ID s and said that they could not serve us (we are all 23 years old). She said that there was a discrepancy in one of the 3 ID s that were given. The manager came later and took up 2 more ID s and then began to change her story. She now began to say that the original 3 IDs were fine but the 2 IDs have a problem. The inconsistencies in her story did NOT MAKE sense because she kept switching her sides of the story in other words, it became obvious she just didn t want us to be there and our IDs were not the issue. AGAIN, we are all WELL OVER the age of 21. She later continued to have inconsistencies in her stories and just said she doesn t feel comfortable with us being inside of her restaurant. She quote said I don t feel in my heart you can be served . My group and I were nothing but nice and flexible with the waitress and I was absolutely disgusted with the experience at this restaurant. I will NEVER be returning here as the disgusting behavior has gotten out of hand.

recently was extremely disheartened and disappointed for a RACIST experience at blue goose. 5 of us girls went to blue goose to drink some margs, but 2 of us weren t drinking. after ordering, the 3 of us who ordered drinks were asked to present their IDs, which they did, and the waitress disappears for 10 minutes WITH their IDs. she comes back to report that her manager believes that 1 of the 3 IDs were fake (all government issued, all of us are over 21). confused, we ask the waitress to bring her manager so we can ask which of the IDs she believes was fake (all of them were real af). a very rude and uncooperative manager inspects the 3 IDs again and then starts blabbering about how she doesn t believe they are real with no explanation, and then starts attacking the 2 of us who didnt choose to drink. she switched her story to say that instead of believing that the 3 IDs were fake, she declared that the 2 girls who weren t drinking were underage. SO, us 2 present our IDs to show that we are in fact over 21, and we just choose to not be drinking - we would have had no problem presenting our IDs in the beginning if the waitress had asked. the manager then states that she now believes that OUR IDs (that we just presented weren t real), and that s the reason the first 3 were rejected, and that we weren t allowed to take sips of other people s drinks (we weren t planning to), and then the manager starts blabbering about how the holograms and text raised on the ID was fake. we asked her if she could scan the IDs but she refused. mind you, none of us would be arguing about the legitimacy and good condition of our IDs if we knew we were committing a crime. nevertheless, the manager continued to give us horrible attitude, and was constantly gaslighting us. the bottom line is, us 5 brown girls were just simply there to enjoy, but there was absolutely no reason for this white manager to present us with horrible service with no explanation, we were all civil and polite, but there was no reason for her to be so rude and unwelcoming when no one else was given this treatment. will not be returning ever again, and will be telling my fellow college friends to never visit such a hostile restaurant.
