I rented out a room for a gender reveal and I told the lady at the time of booking I will be using confetti while planning my reveal I went on the website and seen that confetti was not allowed. I called and spoke with the manager Melissa and asked her why I wasn t told this at booking after o told the lady while I was booking her response was we are human that s understandable however when other people money is involved maybe that should ring a bell. Melissa then brings up a contract I told her the only thing that s one the contract is the booking info she then tells me they can t put everything in the contract or it would be pages and pages long my question is if it isn t in the contract (which what are contracts for if all details aren t in there) and if I m not told in person how am I supposed to know what s allowed??? Oh and I paid in cash and now they have to mail me a check which is bullshit!!! Had one of my guests not try to surprise me with something and looked it up online I wouldn t have known a thing!!!! Terrible communication!!!!

Facility has seen better days. Used to be no nonsense and functional, designed by pros. After the remodel it is garish and ugly. Looks like it was remodeled by the wife of i know a guy. Only improvement is the tileless floors in the bathrooms. Worst part is the pool. Its no longer clean. Pool walls have all sorts of colors growing on them. Browns, blacks and greens. You can also see dome random clean tracks left by halfhearted attempts to scrub it. Used to be the only pool in dfw I trusted but not anymore. At this point Id sooner swim in one of those ponds or lakes. Whole thing needs to be drained and all the walls cleaned, lines sterilized and baseline chlorine levels permanently increased. Hours are terrible too compared to in the 00s. Opens late, closes early. And when its open there are no lanes. Lol @ all these people saying its great. Cannot imagine what sort of third world environs they came from to Plano. Plano has fallen.

Wave pool isnt functioning. My 7 year old grandson was humiliated and told he couldnt go down the slide with his brother by one lifeguard. (2 inches too short). He had gone down it earlier in the day. Another time he was questioned about his age and refused the diving board. (He is 7). We were originally told that was the age you could go on the diving board which he has done numerous times. I guess it depends upon which lifeguard is working. He was proud he could enter the pool without a wrist band like his brother but a pink one was put on him. I took it off. I was told wrists bands were for 6 and under. I dont feel the lifeguards are kind to children although we have met a few exceptional ones. I guess we came on a negative day but wont return due to the humiliation that the lifeguards put us through related to the size of my grandson and continually questioning his Age. I think the age and strength of a childs swimming skills needs to be standard throughout.

This is a first rate facility. The price for Plano residents is extremely reasonable. Im a Collin County resident and pay into Plano schools, but I do not live in the City of Plano, so my cost was a bit higher... but still about half of what it would cost me to join 24-hour fitness. The staff is really friendly. There is plenty of equipment and everything is really clean and well-kept. Available are B-ball courts, racket ball, indoor track, free weights, a circuit training and more. The indoor pool is amazing and is huge with 20 lanes (there is a nice online calendar showing lap-swimming availability, as area high schools use this pool for practice. There are plenty of hours where there are 15 or more lanes available... Ive never had to share). I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I think there could be some small upgrades to the Womens locker room that would not kill the budget. Id like to see them add some safety-bars to the walls of ALL showers as well as several hooks on the INSIDE where you could hang a coverup and a bag that has shampoo, soap, razor, etc. --- you know, have your stuff where you can see it, rather than on the outside of the shower stall. Im not handicap, per se, but Im at an age where I like to hang onto a bar when Im getting in and out of the shower. There is only one handicap shower with safety bars on the walls. I use it when its empty... and I might feel a tad guilty about that... but Ive seen other non-handicapped ladies using it too. Its large, has a place to put your gym bag with clothes, a hand-held nozzle, shower bench and the safety bars on all walls for hanging on ... and, its large enough to dress in when finished. Anyway... thats a VERY MINOR issue. The facility overall is fantastic.

Normally a great place to enjoy time with your kids. But not today! My son and I wanted to shoot around and play one in one. The courts were busy so we just shot around. When my son started doing some lay ups and gave home some pointers. Then a staff member walked over to me and told me that I wasn t allowed to coach my child. I stated I wasn t coaching him. Which he replied my manager has a camera and was watching. I again stated that I wasn t. Then I stated it was another parent with his kid running full drills. He said I m about to talk to him also. What was funny is that we were there for 30 minutes and the other parent was there before us training his kid. So if the manager was watching the camera they other person would ve been stopped. I have had an annual membership for the past 8 years. I will not renew and think this was a race issue. I will not be back.

This is a review for the outdoor pools only. I went yesterday evening with my 3 and 7 yo s and they had a blast! It s different than I expected - no water slides or lazy river, but the wave pool was a hit. The wave pool is a long rectangle with zero entry on two ends and gradually deepens to 3.5 in the middle. My 3 yo could safely jump waves in the 2 section and my 7 yo could go wherever he wanted. There were tubes available in the wave pool and life jackets/puddle jumpers too. Both kids loved jumping the waves and swimming through them. There is also a very nice, fairly large splash pad with an overhead area that has water guns you can aim to splash people below you. And there s a non-wave pool that has water fountains splashing in it my kids enjoyed. We like water park style pools more (like Jack Carter and the Frisco Water Park) but this is a fun option (and costs a little less than the other ones too).

The pool was fine, however we rented a pavilion for my grandsons 4th birthday. While I was paying to extend the rental the supervisor brought 2 guys into the pavilion and stated that they were going to search our cooler, when we said we didnt have a cooler, they searched all of our belongings! When they didnt find ANYTHING they walked away without a word shaking their heads like they were disappointed they didnt find anything. Will be following up on this. NOT ACCEPTABLE. If you like paying $70 to be treated like a trespasser, or crook, this is the place for you I asked the head lifeguard to speak to the supervisor and she hid the rest of the day. We did nothing wrong, sorry to disappoint your power tripping supervisor.

First visit since the long remodel. The indoor obstacle is a great idea. The wave pool and other big kid options are pretty fun. There was a concession with ice cream somewhere outside the kids found that I didnt see. I was able to go to the observation deck inside and do some work while the kids enjoyed themselves and I could see when they were indoors. I think the remodel looks good, much like the same style overall as it was before but configured differently even inside. The diving and lap pools were the same and the special needs pool was same. There is a stretch of 4 foot water between the slide and the wall ripped off that the kids wanted to practice swimming away from everyone else but were disallowed. Kind of a waste of space as its very far from the slide exit. Overall, a nice visit and just $3 per kid. Cant beat that price.

The first thing that struck me about this recreation center was the sheer size and variety of its facilities. The center offered a wide range of sports facilities, including basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. There were also numerous fitness machines and weights, as well as a spacious indoor track. The staff at the recreation center were friendly and helpful, and they provided excellent customer service. They were always available to answer questions or assist with equipment, and they made sure that the facilities were clean and well-maintained at all times. I was also impressed by the range of activities offered at the recreation center. There were numerous fitness classes, including yoga, aerobics, and spin classes, as well as a range of sports leagues and tournaments. There were also regular community events, such as movie nights and family fun days, which provided a wonderful opportunity for families to bond and socialize. Overall, my experience at this recreation center was outstanding. The facilities were top-notch, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the range of activities and events provided something for everyone. I would highly recommend this recreation center to anyone looking for a fun and active way to stay fit and connect with their community.

Staff is great. Pool is grimy. You can see years of build up at the pool. Any swimmer will tell you that. You dont need to renovate the pool, just need to maintain it. That goes for the showers as well. Curtains are missing/torn. The soap dispensers, again super grimmy. Get a grip on maintenance. My advice, the pool coordinator/management need to swim in the pool and use the showers. Probably wont renew membership. The gym is good! Staff and members wipe down after use. Most of the stuff is decent.

Pool never opened this summer like advertised. Pretty much half the reason I signed up here. More of a family YMCA than a rec center. Free weight area is too small. Workers at the front have asked to see my ID before when I came in to work out cause they were not sure if I was the same person in the pic even though I visit often. Price point is fair, but not for me without the outdoor pool open. Discontinued my membership and will renew my membership when the outdoor pool is actually open. Biggest feedback here is don t advertise timelines that are not true to form.

Loved the hustle and bussle and great energy of the place. Parking is fantastic and there are always a number of great experienances going on each day and weekend. Love the ballon festival.

Love this place. Well maintained and kept clean. Staff is very helpful and patient. Like the swimming pool and racquetball courts. They have good exercise equipment and classes for different activities for all age groups.
