We visited for the first time today. It was relatively quiet on this Sunday afternoon. The food was quite good and came fairly quickly. When we ordered the kids food while ordering drinks, they brought it out first, which was good because it s why we ordered it early. The restaurant is small but cozy. The decor is very minimal. The bar is very short with little seating space. The price range is more like $10-35 but many of their options are around $20. The complimentary chips and salsa were good with the salsa being about medium spicy. The staff were attentive, friendly, polite, and professional. Overall, we were happy with the experience. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible though I m not sure how easy it is to get a wheelchair between tables as it is small.

I read the reviews and gave this place a try. The service was great and the food was ok. We had the queso flamiado which was warm and made it difficult to eat. The chicken quesadilla was good but bland. Paid $40 for just 2 dishes. Not your typical Mexican food that is more flavorful.

First off, I ve never given a negative review on Google but this place is awful! If you like extremely bland food and sugar drenched drinks with very little alcohol, then this is the place for you. My new favorite Mexican restaurant. I was blown away by the attention to detail as soon as I walked in. I was blown away by the ambiance, the music (Gloria Trevi, Juan Gabriel, etc), the decorations, the color temperature of the lighting, the accent tile used on the kitchen wall, the color of the napkins, the style of the cocktail glasses, the decoration around the bar, the wallpaper, the professionalism of the staff, and of course, most importantly, the food itself. Our table of three each ordered a different entree and we were all delighted with our choices. I got the cilantro queso steak fajitas. I was a bit skeptical about having queso on my fajitas, since I tend to be pretty traditional but it was delicious and had a little bit of spice to it as well. Strongly recommend their traditional margaritas and mango margaritas. Can t wait to go back!

Stephanie (the waitress) managed to make me stay in the place, after seeing with disappointment the decadence of the menu, Lalos was for a long time one of my favorite restaurants until I came to this place so small in space after having had a nice and comfortable facility on Preston Rd. That was not the only thing that went down but two of my favorite dishes were no longer on the menu, adding to that that they no longer serve beans with the chips and now they charge for a refill of the drink. However, Stephanies attention was excellent but I will definitely not return to this place.

I ordered by phone based on online pricing, when I got there to pick my food up I was told prices were higher than actual menu on website. The food is bland and flavorless. I ordered chicken nachos, super dry and I was NOT impressed. The enchiladas were okay, but no flavor in the beans whatsoever. We had to put salt and hot sauce in everything to enjoy 35 bucks worth of no taste. This is not authentic Mexican food. Don t waste your time or money. We have been here once before todays dine in to give another try. Service was terrible we had to stop our sever to let her know we were ready. She didn t bring out salsa for the table we had to ask. That s took 10-15mins to get. She was only focused on one table only. For price the food does not match up to price. My chicken soup had raw veggies which were supposed be fully cooked. We went to this place completely by accident, but we are SO happy we did. We planned on going to another restaurant but they had a huge wait. You walk in and its small and intimate. The atmosphere is laid back, but still feels nice. The service was top teir. The food was amazing. We had the lemon pepper chicken which was well seasoned chicken, capers, white rice and seasonal vegetables. We also had ceviche which was amazing. I was skeptical when ordering but it was everything I was hoping for. The kids had a kids burrito and the other had tostadas they cleaned their plates clean. They had a great margarita sampler that they will now be offering for $12 on Wednesday. All in all it was great. I recommend everyone skip La Hacienda and head over to Lalos.

Our first visit tonight. What a fabulous surprise. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I got the Americano Plate. Best sour cream chicken enchilada Ive had in decades and OMG, the tamale with the most amazing tomatillo sauce (to die for). The salsa, guacamole and queso were equally great! Our most recent visit was a bit interesting. We had heard from someone about being charged $25 for a cup of queso with brisket, so we decided to order the Chile con queso listed at $7.95, please add brisket. Well... Sure enough we got the bill and it was $24.90 for the cup of queso! The waitress attempted to justify the charge but when we asked for a manager, she went over to the register and adjusted the charge to the correct price. Other than this queso overcharge, the food is very good. Just check you bill before you pay.

You guys used to be great. Did you get bought out or something with all the changes? My wife and I went a few weeks ago to the Plano location on Park and surprised at no more free bean dip. Boy that was nice. Then the food came out lukewarm. Just a 2 table spoon size of refried beans and the casso cheese was watery/milky and not a good flavor as before. So, I decided to try the Dallas location on Preston today and exactly the same thing. So sad. My wife and I always used to enjoy Lalos from when they first opened. I remember when El Fenix got bought out after 90 years of doing it well and the new ownership changed the Casso. It sucked. I heard they went back to the old casso recipe after all the customer comments. Maybe Lalos will get the hint too before they fail and have to close up shop. Here is my best business advice Lalo owner/manager: Go back to what you had that made people want to come back because mall quantities, cold food, high prices and now lousy casso is a deal breaker if you want and need repeats. The casso is a must to get right.

Tried Lalos out today for the first time with my Grandparents, Sister and Parents. The staff was friendly and the venue was spotless. We were seated upon arrival. The staff work beautifully as a team. We never had to ask for any refills, because the staff was on their A game. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. The black beans and salsa they bring out with the chips were so delicious. My dad got the Carne Asade (very tender) My Mom and I got El famoso, My grandparents both got Enchiladas de Mole and my sister got El cantiflas. The presentation of the plates were wonderful. Even the silverware they have is top notch! Lol This is a place to bring the family or on a lunch break as they offer lunch specials. We will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work!

After a busy week showing homes to real estate clients, my husband and I went to Lalo s Fine Mexican Cuisine on W Plano Pkwy location to enjoy a 4th of July meal. Angel, our server, was VERY attentive. I ordered Cabo s Salmon. It not only had a beautiful presentation on the plate, it tasted WONDERFUL! The flavors of the zucchini & yellow squash, carrots, avocado, pineapple and steamed rice were so good with the salmon. We highly recommend Lalo s, our waiter Angel, and Cabo s Salmon. Best Mexican food period. Service is great, food is great, atmosphere is great. Top shelf margs are the best Ive every had. Angel recommended the Contemperado Marg last night and it was so good and refreshing. Our new go to place.

Great atmosphere/service! Tasty fish tacos (I ordered on flour tortillas). My daughter said Fajitas are amazing and loved the bean dip....my kids filled up on the bean dip before the entrees hit the table!

Guacamole was really good but so little given for such a high price. Other food was good but again, priced a lot higher than other comparable restaurants. Also, there was an unpleasant smell in the restaurant (not food). All in all, food - good, service - good, atmosphere - fair, cost - high

The food is really good. We had the fish tacos and chicken fajita and it was all great. I really loved the fish and the chicken was very tender. It is a bit expensive but still good.

The good was good, not anything really special. It was also pretty pricey for what you got. We went on a really busy night and our server was good, but you could tell he was feeling the pressure. Because the restaurant is small, we were seated really close to the people at neighboring tables and, though we werent trying to, you could easily overhear everyones conversations. It wasnt a bad experience by any stretch, but Im not overly eager to return.

Delicious food but overpriced. Delicious drinks but also overpriced. Wait staff seemed stressed and struggled to wait, bus, and bartend on a week day. We literally discussed where did our waiter go multiple times.
