Im conflicted on this one; prices were extremely fair, portions were healthy, and ambiance was lovely- the flavors in the main dishes were simply lacking. We ordered two ramen dishes and a karaage. The karaage chicken was cooked beautifully, very flavorful and served in a nice portion size. The ramen was the mixed review; portions were good but toppings limited with mild flavor. Noodles were perfectly cooked but the flavor was simply just nothing special on either dish. Unsure if wed visit again based on the flavor of the ramen vs other great competitors in the area, but Id be tempted to return based on pricing.

Nice atmosphere, friendly & attentive service, and great food. Got the pork chashu don and it was delicious! For once a place gives you adequate amount of pork for your rice and not just a bowl full of rice with only a bit of meat at the top. Only slight let down were the wings... I was hoping theyd be like Nagoya style tebasaki wings but theyre just your standard wings, even then fantastic restaurant!

I love the ambiance, and their service is always friendly and top-notch. Ramen noodle and toppings all as good as back in Japan. But I struggle with their quality of ramen soup. It always tastes too cooked up and very salty. Also, their white rice is long grain rice (typical American rice) not sushi rice. I never expected it to happen when they are a company from Japan. Its a big surprise. But everything else makes this place still the number one Japanese place to go in town.

The effort and care that went into everything from the street-side izakaya design to the material of the furniture is obvious. Service is warm and friendly, and the food is delicious. A few of the dishes are more proportionally balanced than others, but the plating is always done well. Havent had the chance to have dinner here yet, but I will have to see if the street lamps will be as pretty as I imagine theyd be.

Kizuki was one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle. After hearing they were coming to Frisco, we were ecstatic! You haven t had good ramen until you order their garlic tonkotsu ramen (regular, not low sodium). Their stock is actually simmered for days as real ramen should be! Also their calamari appetizer is scrumptious.

Went last Thursday for dinner. I saw an ad and decided take the family to try this place out. It was definitely a great decision. We love ramen and have several places around DFW weve enjoyed. This place was hands down the best. Prices are a little more than the other places (over $80 for 2 adults and a teenager), but we did have 2 apps (chicken kaarage and takoyaki) and each of us had a ramen bowl. Service was awesome. Server checked on us several times and also stayed for a chat. We loved the setup, especially seeing all the rice barrels. Parking: Plenty of parking around. Kid-friendliness: They have high chair a available and different tables with different heights as options Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space to allow accessibility

It was a quaint atmosphere, the high ceilings really do make it feel nice and open. The art was cool. The desert (I didnt eat) was well received by the party I was with. Honestly not a bad spot for what it is. Solid ramen and really good Japanese staple dishes and appetizers, and competitive pricing with other restaurants in the plano/frisco/The colony area. We walked in, got a table and then after taking our order, the hostess promptly forgot about us and ended up having to ask the chef for our waters, since we didnt get them until after we already had started eating our food. We ordered the pork gyoza which was very fresh and it was one of the better gyoza Ive had. The garlic Tonkotsu shoyu ramen was good and you can tell the noodles were fresh and the broth was decent. We also ordered the spicy chicken tantan ramen and it was decent. The service was unfortunately lacking but one of the chefs (Jen) took good care of us, and I think the rest of the staff we worked with can learn a thing or two from her on how to take care of your customers.

Updated review: The GM rectified the situation by demonstrating the authentic Kizuki experience! The ramen was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly and the richness of the broth. I appreciate the GMs kindness and hospitality in following up on the original review. My husband had a disappointing experience at the ramen restaurant. Despite DoorDash indicating that the order would be ready, it wasnt when he arrived. He waited patiently for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged him, and they claimed they had just received the order, even though it had been placed 30-40 minutes earlier. Surprisingly, the restaurant was empty. To make matters worse, they initially forgot to include the spicy miso paste and chili paste, even though they were part of the order. The issue continued when we found out that the egg was missing upon arriving home, which was quite disappointing as I feel the egg completes ramen in general. Despite ordering spice level 2, there was no discernible spice in the ramen, and the portion of the spicy miso paste we paid $1 for was disappointingly small, barely enough to flavor the broth.

Giving 3 stars is being generous. I ve spent time in Japan so I feel I know good ramen, and I wasn t impressed at all. It was about a max of 5 people in there and although I was seated before a few, I never was asked if I wanted water or anything, I had to flag someone down and ask for water and for them to take my order. Lastly, the hostess managed to go around asking everyone if their food was alright but me about 3 times, I watched him do a loop. So yeah. 3 stars is really being generous.

We drove all the way from north Richland hills for this place! Recommended by a friend and it was 100% worth the 50min drive! Ramen was delicious, the portion size was perfect! Not too big but not too small. Also got pork buns and karage squid, super good! They are fast and so nice! Atmosphere is open and decorative! I love it, will warn the ladies that it is cooler inside so bring a jacket if you run cold! For sure will be coming back!!

Upbeat and attentive service makes this location a 5 Nice drink choices and the bartender made mine extra strong to my preferences. Chashu pork was thinner and less fatty than Im used to, but i didnt mind. Soup was flavorful with a whole soft boiled egg instead of just a half! Karaage was juicy with a nice light fry.

I ve been to Japan many times, and this ramen is the real deal. Lots of options, fair prices, good vibes. Michael is a cool cat, he gave us the history of the place and talked shop about different ramens. For $2, they ll replenish your noodles after you finish them. Basically a second free bowl of ramen. Definitely recommend this spot

First timers here! We visited Kizuki on a Sunday afternoon and were delighted by our experience. Loved the atmosphere. I had miso ramen and it was fairly decent. My bowl was a bit too garlicky and not enough miso, but I still enjoyed it. Service was a bit odd -- we had a server who visited our table a couple times, but as we waited around for the check another server came out to close our tab; We didnt see our initial server again. To-Go tote bags are super cute and reusable! Overall, I would come back to try something different.

On a cool evening in Plano, my wife and I found ourselves at Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya, curious to see if the hype about their ramen was justified. We were greeted with heartwarming smiles and an attentiveness that made us feel immediately special. The ramen itself was a revelation with its rich broth and springy noodles, clearly made with care. Its not often you find a place where the meal and the service are both so memorable. Kizuki in Plano is now our go-to spot for that warm, fuzzy feeling, both in our hearts and our stomachs.

Went here for the first time with a couple friends yesterday. Service was A+ but the food was unfortunately not. We all ordered the tonkatsu shoyu ramen and one takoyaki. Everything was so luke warm-ish/room temperature. My chashu was dried out as if they left the meat out without having it covered. The egg was inconsistent. My friend s egg was cooked a little too much and mine was slightly undercooked (which I was ok with). Ultimately, for the price and food quality, I d rather go to a better ramen shop. I really wanted to like this place but I guess it wasn t meant to be :(

We got the Tsukemen dipping noodle and the Gyudon, which is a limited time item. The Tsukemen noodles was pretty good and the broth was flavorful but the tonkatsu was very dry. The Gyudon was very disappointing as it lacked flavor. Parking: Difficult to find parking right outside the store. Even more difficult if you come after 4 since they block off a lot of spots for valet parking for a different restaurant.

Overall I was not impressed with the food here. The place is very cute. The menus see high quality and everything BUT the food was good, including service. For apps, I ordered the fried chicken(good), octopus balls(2/5), salad(not good). Fried chicken was good potion and hot. Tasty as well. The octopus balls were too mushy taking away from authenticity quality. And the salad with chicken was bland as ever and not enough sauce. Horrible. I ordered the rich chicken ramen, it tasted like boiled chicken water with barely any flavor. The chicken is so bland it s awful and it really makes me question the taste buds of everyone in these reviews and how this place has such a high rating (respectfully but truthfully). Jp was extremely polite as was Emily. Jp offered to remake it and it was better but still lacked flavor overall. I asked for a side of garlic paste. Not sure why or if this is the case all the time. Was overall very disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant.

Rare to see tsukemen so I ordered that. Asked for cold noodles but didn t expect the dipping broth to be just lukewarm it should be cold noodles but hot dipping broth. Charsiu too dry, noodles too soft. I asked for soup at the end but the waiter didn t seem to understand even though it s on their menu After adding the soup the broth actually tastes authentic, I wish the kitchen knows better what they are serving so the entire experience will be improved

Ordered yuzu shio ramen, shoyu ramen (low sodium option for both) & karaage for dinner. Food was good & its great to have a low sodium option but the upcharges are a bit pricey. Service is where they get docked. Karaage appetizer came out halfway thru the main. Yes, it does take a while for karaage but at least wait to put in the main order after the appetizer. Our server looked new to the job & dropped off the food incorrectly in front of each person but the yuzu taste allowed us to figure out who ordered what. The clincher was when Michael showed up at our table & asked if he could close out our tab & clear the dishes. Yes, were almost done but Im still trying to finish slurping up the rest of my yuzu broth. I can only assume he was the manager on duty, since this was the only interaction we had with him during the entire meal. Although he was pleasant & asked about our experience, I got the vibe that underneath it all, we were being rushed out so they could clear our table, even though there wasnt a wait & there were other dirty tables that werent bussed. Real or imagined, the interaction didnt sit well with me.

It was my first time and this did not go well the main issue was the service staff. First off the kitchen staff were working hard and staying busy. The service staff (3 of them) were talking loudly for the entire time. Several looks from me did not deter them. Also, before picking up my food to deliver the, team member was eating a licking his fingers and used a rag to wipe them. Then he served my food. If the owner has cameras, I would suggest he or she use them to help the team members learn proper etiquette. The restaurant, menu and ramen were actually very good. Hakata ramen had perfect noodles, good broth and fatty chasu. Nicely done.
