First time there. Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere, the service and the food!!! Loved the Caesar Salad and the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Linguine dish!!! Not sure how she spells it, but Jacklyn was an excellent server! Would highly recommend it!

Did not have a great experience. This is my 2nd time going to this restaurant. I was willing to give it another try as the 1st time (not a great experience either) was during the pandemic. Our waitress was incredibly sassy & condescending. Every time she came to our table all 6 of us felt like little kids being reprimanded or schooled. Food was just ok. Three of us had the chicken piccata which says it comes with potatoes. It arrived without the potatoes & when asked, the server argued with my friend. When shown the menu she still tried to cover her mistake by saying it was a lunch portion. They dont have a lunch portion for that particular dish. Ultimately, she brought the potatoes but it was a frustrating exchange. Ended up, the potatoes were the best part of the dish. There were several other issues but very similar to that one so I wont go through them all. I dont think Ill return to this restaurant, there are too many restaurants in the area with better food &/or service.

Service was horrible. We ordered Bruschetta that sat on counter for more than 10 minutes before brought to our table thus becoming soggy. Then we order pizza and server promised us to bring plates for eating which never did or apologize for forgetting. Then we asked for our payment check which was another longer than 10 minutes. I had to go out to the manager for our check as at that point we were just ready to get out of the place. This experience will never take us to visit this place ever again. We spent close to $90 for 3 person this was our first visit to try the place and will be the last.

This was our first visit to Princi Italia. The weather was nice so we sat on the lovely patio. We ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer. The charcuterie board was excellent; prosciutto, sopressata, capitola, aged provolone and taleggio cheese, roasted peppers, Sicilian olives, and peasant toast. The toast was so good we decided to continue with bread and ordered pizzas for our entrees. I ordered the fig and Gorgonzola pizza with arugula, prosciutto, shaved Parmesan and fontina cheese, balsamic reductions, and extra virgin olive oil drilled on top. Exquisite! I highly recommend this flavorful pizza. My husband ordered the Italian Sausage pizza with roasted peppers, cremini mushrooms, goat cheese, San Mariano pizza sauce, oregano, and basil leaves. He loved it. We visited Princi Italia because the restaurant participated in the 2024 Taste of Plano in March benefitting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. We like to patronize local businesses that give back to the community. We highly recommend Princi Italia for a delightful meal. We also want to give a shout out to our waiter, Gerald, who was an absolute delight and really made our visit exceptional.

The WORST dining experience I HAVE EVER HAD! EVER! DO NOT SPEND A DIME AT THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A RESTAURAUNT. I am absolutely SICKENED and DISGUSTED at the experience that my family and I experienced at this location yesterday. The most heinous, rude, unprofessional servers that would barely make eye contact with us, and left us sitting alone, with no drinks for OVER 15 minutes. They did not even EVER ask us what we wanted to drink. It was BIZZARE. The waitstaff seemed to fight over who would have to take our table. I wonder why. Absolutely disgusting and despicable service. And the FOOD? The pizza was inedible. It was disgusting. They brought us pizza, unsalted and tasted RANCID. Yes. They served us RANCID pizza. Not only that, they took the pizza off the bill with NO apology. No nothing. Not to mention, they NEVER took our drink order so we were to wash down the vile pizza with luke warm water. The server, a burly, heinous man who again, like his counterparts, seemed to avoid eye contact and couldnt even fake a smile. He was palpably annoyed at having to serve us. The racism, the shifty eye contact, the disgusting food, the unfriendly staff, the sketchy manager who kept watching us...I am sickened by this entire dining experience. If you are not a Caucasian person there to drink wine and eat VILE pizza that tasted as if it was rancid and also dowsed in gasoline...then this place is not for you. Coming up is a pathetic apologetic response from the owner who will ask me to email him/her for a giftcard or to apologize. No thank you. Yesterday was a HOLIDAY, and this hideous experience tainted it. Thanks for nothing. Hideous, heinous, disgusting, bizarre and offensive wait staff with repulsive food. Avoid at all costs. Go anywhere else. Even the staff at a fast food restaurant smile and ask you what youd like to drink.

Came here before for our anniversary and had a great time. Garlic Flatbread, bolognese, lobster fra diavolo. Food was great. Came again for my mothers birthday and not so much. Food did come out quick, appetizers were good but The server did not check on us after dropping our entrees even after he asked if we wanted fresh parm to which we said yes please. Never refilled our waters and seemed to be more attentive to other the other tables. My girlfriend got the bolognese again since she loved it but this time it tasted totally different. It had a heavy liquorice aftertaste as if someone just threw a handful of anise into it instead of a subtle hint. After 2 forkfulls we couldnt get the taste out of our mouth. Everything else was just OK. Would have really appreciated the fresh parm if he had come back to check on us.

Live cello performance was awesome for brunch. Nice spacious restaurant with a shaded patio area. Food was priced well / good value. Enjoyed the Antipasti bar. Fried calamari/ shrimp tasted good. Had the chicken waffle and almost finished the whole thing (big). Crab cakes were yummy as well. We had to wait a while for the food though (others did not) and the server we had was not attentive (others were). So I guess we just got unlucky that day. Would try again tho, esp on a gorgeous day like last weekend.

My wife and I had another elegant meal at Princi Plano. The food is nicely elevated and exquisitely prepared. The Cobb Salad is large so bring your appetite. My wife says their Chicken Piccata is the best of the ten or so versions shes had at other Dallas Italian restaurants. I found the grilled salmon more perfectly cooked than the four other Italian restaurants where I regularly dine. The desserts are a dynamite way to cap off a great meal. We had the Warm Apple Crostata this time and the Blueberry NY Style Cheesecake last time. Both are decadent and fabulous! We had Giovanni as our server the last two times (weve been going to Princi since 2019) and he makes the meal a fun experience. He possesses an old-world charm and hospitality.

I used to eat here at least once a week, but now I likely wont ever go back. For the last few visits, the dishes have not been as well executed as they were in the past. The romano crusted chicken had no crust to it whatsoever. Just a soggy batter around a chicken breast. I let the bartender know this, while communicating to her that this is part of why people may not want to return. Her reply? If I stop dining here, some other person will take my place, and theyll offset whatever tip I used to give. That being said, I will 100% never go back, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Two stars only because the food was edible, not great. Service was mind numbingly tone deaf.

I usually always get the chicken piccata and it is always so good and flavorful. I am not sure if you all have gotten a new chef but it was not good today. It wasn t made the way it would usually be made, no capers, no lemon flavor and they added some kind of squash and the chicken was bland. My mother and myself had the same dish but we didn t taste it until we got back to our destination. I really hope you all get back to that beautiful flavor we ve tasted before, because this is one of our favorite restaurants but todays food was very disappointing.

Service was not up to par either. Hoping this is an anomaly and not a trend.

First time in a long time I straight up walked out without even ordering. We made reservations and arrived exactly on time at 6:45pm. We had to wait a little bit while they got our table ready. No problem, thats fine. We were seated at a decent table close to some foot traffic and the kitchen. A server came by to pour us some water but said nothing to us and left quickly. And then we sat and waited... For at least 10 minutes while no one came to ask how we were, explain the menu or specials, or anything. By the time our server arrived (the same guy who poured our waters), he was in an extreme rush and simply asked if we were ready to order. When I asked if he could introduce the menu or suggest something, he simply pointed at the restaurant week menu and left. Obviously we didnt deserve his time and attention, despite having waited there patiently for him to ignore us for 10 minutes to begin with. By this point, both of us were feeling very unhappy with what was supposed to be an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Rather than spend $$$ on a meal we were already unhappy with, we just got up and left. Like I said earlier, I havent had such a terrible customer service experience to begin with in years. And I dont make this review lightly, I have been to this restaurant several times and do enjoy their food. However, for restaurant that wants to advertise itself as a premium experience, the service was anything but and unfortunately I will not be coming here again. PS, I let the manager know and he indicated our server was one of his long time servers. Which begs the question if that is one of the better servers there, I dont want to know what the experience is like with others. My suggestion to there is find another place that bette appreciates and values you as a customer.

A walk inside this restaurant and be ready to be welcomed with the fragrance of fresh Italian herbs. From their wine selection to the taps and of course the amazing bar, nothing falls short to give you an amazing evening experience that will make you wanna go back again. Now the main heart beat the food. It almost took no time for the amazing food to be out and gone in 60secs. The taste will hit you later but the presentation man I am a fan. Everything tastes fresh out of a farmers market, the fish tasted like it was caught an hour ago. Special shout out to the executive chef Carlos for doing this amazing job to please 100s of people everyday. We will be back soon.

Very average experience. They sat a table right next to us with a dog - not a service dog, just a pet. This dog did not just lay under the table. While well-behaved, it was between our table and the pet owners table, it ate food off of a restaurant plate, and the manager had to step over it at some point to retrieve something off the table. Food and service were OK. I LOVE animals, but there is a time and a place.

The waiter wasn t attentive and didn t refill drinks until once at the very end even though they were empty throughout the entire meal. The calamari was severely over-salted and we had to send it back after spending 10 minutes trying to flag him down. The salmon was cooked way too quickly at too high of a temperature. The outside was only a little undercooked but the inside was COMPLETELY raw. It was so appalling that I wasn t able to eat the rest of my meal because I felt sick to my stomach. When we finally got the check we had to have them redo it because they didn t take off the calamari that we sent back. There were 5 in our party. Wonderful food, great atmosphere and a terrific staff. Our waiter, Butch, did an awesome job taking care of us and had an amazing sense of humor. He made the evening special. Butch didn t know it, but we had just left from visiting a very sick friend who was in the hospital. We brought our friend s wife with us to the restaurant hoping not only to cheer her up, but to comfort her as well. We were all a little down but Butch s sense of humor soon had us laughing. He really lightened everyone s mood and helped make us all feel better. Thank you, Butch!

I have eaten here several times in the past 2 years and the food is ALWAYS very salty. I have heard other tables also complained of the same. We ordered lobsters & pasta normally but this last time it came out with only the lobster shell, no lobster for my wifes dish. After mentioning to the manager, she took the plate back for about 20 minutes, then returned with the cold pasta and a hot lobster tail. It took more than an hour to get the entre. They also nickle and dime for everything. We will not come back here again.

hello people of google and fellow customers. i went to princi italia west Plano for a girls night out with some of my girlfriends thinking this was a good place to eat as i had various recommendations from friends and family. unfortunately i was mistaken, this restaurant is nothing but a cesspool and breeding grounds for sickness. apon arrival the staff were incredibly rude, i brushed this off and thought maybe i was to blame, then when we were sat down and our orders had arrived 2/5 of the meals were cold almost as if they d be heated in a microwave :((. as if that was bad we found streaks of gold hair in our penne Allie s, this was the final straw that broke the camels back, and when we told a staff member we were told get over it s just hair me and my girls were in shock. i will never be coming back here ever again they have horrible staff, impossible wait times and are over all dirty

Not impressed !!!!! First and last time here , we arrived with reservations (5:30)Party of six upon arrive checked in with hostess who was extremely unfriendly she told the younger hostess to seat us at table 20 . Younger hostess walked off leaving us there when I asked the older hostess do we follow her she replied rudely, just wait we have to get your table ready . After being sat it started off good and then went downhill, felt very rushed when we asked for bread with our meal and we were told there is no bread service our entire party was taken back by that remark because minutes prior we ordered a charcuterie board and there was delicious toasted crostini type bread . When asking waitress if we could have bread like this she said sure and when we got our bill we were all charged .10 for each toasted piece of crostini. . Food was okay and prices were in my opinion high for what you received and staff was not friendly ! Our waitress was supper sweat but reminded of a very nervous abused dog afraid of their owner. Upside the ice tea is totally on point !!!!! Espresso was also on point (hence my 2 star rating) !! To me this was like a overpriced macaroni grill!!! Would not recommend and will not go back, there are too many other Italian restaurants that are way more authentic and really make you feel like your familia! Parking: TERRIBLE!

The good: we had had a reservation for 7:30P but the hostess took us in at 6:00P. The restaurant wasn t jammed packed as usual for this area on a Saturday probably for a good reason. The bad: Our waiter started great, gave us a fun fact about the wine we ordered, but all of the sudden, he went downhill. Never asked my wife if she wanted another cocktail, and was not upfront about the quality of their Saturday special. Brought me another equally salty veal Milanese after I sent it back. The ugly: Veal Milanese was salty beyond repair and soggy, just like the arrugula salad. Veal picatta portion size looked more appropriate for the kids menu, pasta carbonara was very greasy, and quattro formaggi tortellini was covered in sweet cheese sauce, garnished with more sweet green peas. Advice for the manager: Charging customers an average of $30 a plate for this egregious meal is not ok. I supported you guys through COVID and been dining with you since you guys opened in Plano. Princi-Plano was my go-to for a decent meal, in a sea of disappointments. You need to control the quality of what s being put out to the customers. If you wouldn t eat it, don t serve it to people hoping they won t notice. At your current price point, we deserve way better.

Some of the best authentic Italian food in Texas. The only things that didn t go absolutely perfectly were a slight delay with one order and the noise level of the restaurant. Everything else was perfect. Presentation, attentive staff, knowledgeable and accommodating waiter, diverse and consistent flavors. Excellent through and through. The dish I can recommend most highly is the spaghetti bolognese, after that they are all spectacular and if you like lobster you should try it here. The pizza was a little under done for my preference (for a wood burning oven) but still cooked through nicely, just no crisp bite at the edge. The prices are high but worth it for the main dishes both in quality and quantity. The salads are over priced. With these notes in mind I highly recommend trying it for yourself. You won t be disappointed!

No comp of anything for friend that had beer poured on her/purse. Complained to manager, not sure if anything done. Due to 10 in party, no choice on gratuity.

The food was excellent but the service was dismal. I dont recommend this place. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even brought water. Our waitress was in the weeds, as they were short staffed BUT she would attend to the nearby tables and completely ignore us. My friend and I split the bill and the waitress mixed up the billing - putting mine on my friend s card, and vice versa. When she corrected it, she brought back incorrect copies. The hostess (manager?) was very apologetic, corrected the bills and comped us desserts to go. If they can get good waitstaff, I think this would be a great place. Until then, be prepared to sit for a long time and feel ignored.

Updated 6/11 The experience this time was pretty bad. Service was slow - we were seated after 15 mins even though we had a reservation. Drinks and orders were taken very late snd no one checked in on us. Did not provide spoons for soup and then brought them pretty late. The Ravioli tasted stale and had to be returned. Halibut was good but portion was pretty small for the price. Earlier - The ambience is nice. Food was pretty good. We had the sole and the veal that was good but the lobster was pretty ordinary.

Ate here for the first time today and the service was TERRIBLE. My husband said to me he s usually not one to complain but it was worst service he s ever had. The waiter brought our Gorgonzola and fig bruschetta and my husband noticed a bug on it immediately. We waited for the waiter to come back so we could let him know and possibly get a new order but he didn t show. Over 15 min had gone by so we decided to eat around it. We were also out of drinks (which were small glasses- wouldn t be a problem if the waiter was on top Of his game). When he returned I told him about the bug and he just removed the plate, didn t offer to remove from the bill or discount the price. My meal was supposed to come with bread but he didn t bring it. When I asked about it, saying the menu stated my meal came with bread he said he d have to check. He didn t do that either. We had empty glasses for a long time and he took a long time to take our order. Food was good but lots of restaurants have good food AND good service. Won t be going back.

We have gone to Princi Italia for a few years as it was one of the few places in TX that had decent Italian food. Over a year ago, my husband was disappointed to see that their carpaccio appetizer was discontinued. They had homemade pasta so that kept us coming back. Ive had several of their pasta dishes, and they were amazing, because its rare to find homemade (not just fresh) pasta. Well, after going our for my daughters 18 birthday, I was disappointed to see that they no longer make their own pasta. The penne arrabiata and casarecce carbonara were not the same pasta at all. I could just make that at home with my own sauce. The sauces were still good but nowhere near what they used to be. Its a shame because that set them apart. I guess my search continues.

This has been my go-to place for holidays and typically their set menus are amazing, but after today (Mothers Day 2022) I doubt Id be back. First, I ordered my daughters food with the appetizers because shes 3 and was hungry, but her food was forgotten and only came out AFTER our main course. Second, I ordered the beef tenderloin for my main course and the inside of the meat tasted spoiled. I ate the sides and I told the server about the meat when he came to pick it up and he said sorry, but no replacement was offered and everything was full price on my final bill. And the last annoyance was that I ordered a fake mimosa (club soda and OJ) because Im pregnant and was still charged full price for a mimosa. I dont think club soda and juice costs the same as prosecco. Super disappointed and I will not be back.
