My first visit for a friends birthday. I was there at the end of September & they had the Frito & Chili with pico de gallo soufflé, which was delicious. I asked for extra pico de gallo for the extra kick.

My husband brought me here for my birthday dinner, a special date night. Sadly, we both left very disappointed. TL/DR: Crickets inside & outside of restaurant. Beware of the two-top tables in the small pathways, constant people walking by & bumping into you. GET RID OF THESE TABLES. Food is tasty, but not filling. Ill start with the positives: The inside of the restaurant has a nice ambience. The food was tasty, which is the only reason Im giving 2 stars instead of 1. Now, what caused us to not enjoy the evening/experience: The outside was surrounded with crickets. My husband had to walk several feet in front of me to clear the path. I was wearing heels & a short skirt, not really cricket-fighting outfit. Plus, not a good way to start a romantic celebration. Then we were at a two top in what can only be described as a walkway. It led from the main dining area to the patio/bar/POS. My husband was knocked into at least twice & I was hit in the shoulder & face with a purse. Plus, with the POS right next to us, there was a constant stream of workers right there. GET RID OF THIS TABLE. There is no reason there should be a table there except for greed. Next, as we were waiting for our food, a cricket appeared on the wall next to us that came out from behind the decor. It startled me. I had to worry about this cricket possibly jumping on me or our table. I couldnt be in the moment with my hubs. Finally, I walked over to the bar to get someone who could take care of it. Thankfully, one of the young ladies was able to capture it & take it outside with the rest of its cricket friends. Lastly, make sure you are fully aware of what a traditional French soufflé is. This was more on us, we didnt realize it was basically egg white fluff with finely grated ingredients. Theres other places that have their American version, which is more filling. Again, what we were served was very tasty, but we both left hungry. I would also recommend that the restaurant writes descriptions on the menu for each savory soufflé. We had to ask our waitress which ingredients were in each one, which she didnt explain well at all. For example one she said had chipotles, but it ended up being a chipotle mayo sauce, not actual peppers. This brings a different flavor all together.

My friend and I went as it was our birthdays. I called ahead of time as I had never been here to see what they did for birthdays. The lady on the phone informed me that they put scrabble letters on the table, saying happy birthday and also they give you a free souffle with a candle. So I happily made my reservation with her for the next day. My friend drove from 6 hours away to celebrate our birthdays, so I wanted it to be very special. When we got there and were seated at the table, the server informed us that I had to have a coupon for free souffle. I was very embarrased in front of my friend as I had already gotten her, excited about the birthday souffle. We proceeded to order. I got the crab souffle, which was a special for $28. My friend got the escargo souffle. My crab souffle was dry, extremely flavorless, with no visible signs of crab meat, only small little flakes. Also, it was maybe the size of the palm of my hand. I was extremely underwhelmed as it tasted like something. I can get from the freezer section at Walmart. I thought it would come with some kind of cream sauce with lumps of crab meat that I could pour over the top or something. But no. It was so plain. I tasted my friends escargo souffle, which was slightly better, but still very underwhelming. We held out our hopes for the birthday souffle, which was a special item off a menu. It came highly recommended by the server. It was a pumpkin souffle. This was probably the best out of the 3 souffles, but I would give it a 5 out of 10 at most. It was just a souffle that was flavored of pumpkin. There were no different textures. No Wow moments. I would not go back to this restaurant due to the food being very, very bland and unimaginative. However, it is cute in its decor and theme. I tried to cheer my friend up after with massages bc I felt bad about the lunch. I feel like I threw $100 away.

Also the food was not as good at the one in Dallas which is unfortunate because I had hyped up the place to my friend after visiting the Dallas location and we were both underwhelmed. The location is also pretty nice and convenient which is why I was excited to try it out. Overall it was okay, but something is off.

We ve driven past this relatively new establishment a few times and wondered if Soufflé might be a tantalizing choice for dinner sometime. We finally decided to try it out after friends offered positive reviews of the Dallas location. It really was great. But of course, you need to be okay with Soufflé in general. Just the bread and French onion soup were worth the visit, imo. Service was excellent. And the atmosphere was very pleasant. Definitely was not a cheap place to eat, but we ll definitely return to try some of the other options.

Josh made our evening fun with his upbeat personality that wasn t over the top. He knew when to engage and was vigilant on knowing when to show up like a ninja refilling our water glasses, checking on our order and offering more drinks with perfect timing. He was also extremely helpful with making smart choices on dinner options. You can tell that he loves his job and enjoys working with the public. We will be asking for him from now on!

rise °1 on Inwood has been one of my favorite Date Night / Special Occasion restaurants in Dallas for many years... partly because of the food and partly because of the intimate ambiance. rise souffle - Plano has made a valiant effort to duplicate that ambiance but is too large to capture it completely. That said, I would not turn down the opportunity to go their with friends or family, but will continue to visit rise °1 when Im looking for that intimate, je ne sais quoi experience.

Oh how Ive missed the souffles at Rise for the longest. I came back to Dallas for a visit and decided to meet up with friends for a late lunch. I was very surprised to see they opened the Plank location and thought this would be a nice treat. Rise never disappoints. I found out they recently opened in April and the place is extremely busy. We came on a Saturday at 2 pm and the dining area was at 80% capacity. Our server took a while to get to us, but once tables transitioned out, service was better. We ordered the Cauliflower & Brie, Jambon & Gruyere and the Truffle infused mushroom. Both the Jambon and Mushroom souffles were still consistently delicious as I remembered. They were aromatic, fluffy and very filling. The Cauliflower was a new option and one we are happy to have ordered. There was a nice flavor of cauliflower and brie melded together in each bite. You should always save room for dessert here. I typically order the chocolate souffle, but we tried something different instead. The raspberry souffle came with a side of sauce which was poured on by our waitress. Raspberry desserts can taste like real raspberries or Robitussin . This was not the case. The raspberry souffle will be my all time favorite alongside their large portion of creme brulee. The interior mirrors their original location in Dallas. If I have the chance next time. I would choose to sit inside the dining area as opposed to the patio area. Although it was enclosed due to the heat, it was extremely warm and the seating arrangements were a bit smaller. Kudos to the extremely nice staff. They were very warm and welcoming.

The amount was just enough to satisfy the palate. The bread board was interesting. I felt it was more of a conversational piece that added to the French artisan vibe. The butter soufflé was so easy to spread over the bread. I wish every restaurant had butter soufflé. Overall, I liked it as a gathering place. I probably wouldn t go by myself.

From a former Dallas resident to a now Frisco resident- I cannot express how excited I was to see a new Rise location MUCH closer than that long drive south to Dallas. And might I dare say I prefer this Rise over the original! The atmosphere is still very much similar to the original location in Dallas however interesting enough, even with the additional room to breathe, they ve still captured that homey, warm, comforting vibe without the dark cavernous and cramped feel of Dallas. I love that there s an enclosed patio that allows all the sunshine and goodness for patio lovers to dine in comfort. There s a very secluded and seductive room toward the back called the wax room with one wall made entirely of bees wax, which would be perfect for intimate group get togethers and celebrations. Seating that allows for guests to watch the glorious and special technique of the dessert soufflés being prepped. Unlike Dallas this location has much more seating available at the bar that allows a full view of the restaurant and all the guests dining. The food was absolutely on par, cheese platter with perfectly selected cheeses that were all lovely but I must say the goat cheese was the star of the show. Escargot main soufflé was delicious as always and the fresh loafs of bread were definitely a must to soak up all the garlicky and basil pesto goodness. For dessert, we normally stick to chocolate however that seasonal key lime was way too tempting to pass up and it was indeed every bit of the zesty goodness that we were hoping it would be. Our waiter Matthew was very attentive and super pleasant during our meal. He made sure our waters were filled the whole time, cleared plates to make room on the table, and was engaged in the menu making very thoughtful recommendations. Pete the GM was very involved with his staff, visiting tables, helping behind the bar, and making sure everything was running smoothly and seamlessly. Over all I would say now that we have a Rise up here I ll probably be asking my husband to take me much more frequently than we would down in Dallas and I definitely think this new location makes a perfect date night or place to celebrate a special occasion.

Nice spot for a light brunch/lunch. I had the marshmallow soup, which had a rich and creamy base and the goat cheese marshmallows were very soft with a marshmallow like texture. I then had the job and gruyere souffle and it reminded of a warm grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The top part was crispy while the inside was soft and cheesy. For drinks we had the sparkling apple cider and the apricot iced tea. The sparkling apple cider is basically carbonated apple juice, but its very good and I would order it again. The apricot iced tea had a light and sweet apricot taste to it. The atmosphere was that of a more casual French cafe, but its still a place I would dress nice to. If youre not familiar with souffles just know that they are light and fluffy, so if youre a big eater you might still be hungry after this, but if youre like me youll be stuffed and happy after.

Glitzy, exciting place on first arriving. Lots of energy for a pricey place. However, the acoustics were terrible in that everyone had to talk loudly over the crowd to be heard by their tablemates. It was a full room. Well-appointed, beautiful soufles. Every entre was about $20-$25. I have lots of egg whites at home and my pocketbook is limited, so I opted for the Brie and cornichon (tiny French dill pickles) baguette sandwich with salad. I do love Brie! The sandwich was so underwhelming at a whopping $18, I believe. The small, cut in half baguette was dry (well, baguettes usually are. LOL!), Brie was cut thickly (thank you!), 3 tiny pickles on each half. Absolutely chokey, so I removed top portions of baguette so as to have less dryness. For a special place and price, I believe Chef Ramsey would expect something special. Ideas: Butter and toast lightly the baguette, melty Brie is delightful! Try this. My salad was finely chopped romaine, I believe, with slivered zucchini on top. It looked like cheese, so I was disappointed. It was well dressed, and I ate half of it along with half my sandwich (all of the Brie and pickles. My 2 friends had cheese and ham souffles, which were delightful and quickly demolished. We split a dessert raspberry souffle. Delish. Of course, not much to it. Wine selections were there, but we only glanced. Service was good. Lots of staff. Im into food and conversation. Neither was satisfying to me. I was hungry when I left and ears ringing. Maybe in the evening, its quieter.

Crab, salmon and mushroom souffles were very underseasoned. And if those food items were in the souffles you wouldnt know it. It was almost like they were pureed to oblivion. Dessert souffles were better, but not wow. Still lacking big flavor and not enough to entice me back. Too bad, was looking forward to this visit for a long time, but everyone at the table walked away disappointed.

But it was horrible: 1.everything is miniature yet pricey compared to to the Dallas location even if you eat bread, an appetizer, entrees, and dessert you will leave wanting a burger. And i mean small the soufflés are small compared to the Dallas location, the bread is small, the cups of soups are served halfway empty. 2.half of our soufflés were flat!! And not well made lacking flavor!! 3.coffee is cold 4.other meals are also cold 5.serving staff is not competent We will not be returning. This restaurant was my favorite, just trust instead go to the Dallas location and don t waste your time at the Plano location!!! What a disappointment!!!

We called Rise Plano to make a reservation for my sisters birthday. We frequent the Dallas location but were hoping to be closer to where she lives since she is 38 weeks pregnant. The Plano location was extremely vague about the ability to make a reservation and they never called us back. The Dallas location however, was extremely attentive and wanted to know details of the dinner, etc.

1st visit to the new location. Beautiful inside, really great atmosphere. Onion soup really enjoyable. Then there was the rest. In the past I had only been in for desert soufflés. Today I decided to try the hearty ones. We started by ordering a bottle of wine, which didnt get delivered until after our entrees arrived. So that was a little bit annoying. I went with the Ham and cheese soufflé and if there was any ham I didnt find it. Honestly I ate half only because I was hoping for something good but it was dull and uninspired. Fluffy Yes flavorful? NO. Wife said the same for the crab special soufflé it was just okay at best. Now in the past I thought the desert was chefs kiss 10 out of 10 but if I wanted to spend 23 dollars on a bland egg there are so many better options. I would probably try a non soufflé option in the future because it really was a pretty place. After our wine arrived late no one checked in on our table so we felt like an after thought. Our Servers shirt was dirty also which was not a good look. Now maybe someone had just bumped into her so I can look past that and If the meal had cost 60 dollars I would have still felt bad but for the 120 it cost it was a total waste of my time and money. Honestly I cant think of the last time I picked a restaurant that underwhelmed me so much that I needed to write about it. This was going to be a lunch to celebrate our anniversary since it can be hard to get out with kids but now feel like I need to make up for it by going somewhere else next week.

Average. Special occasion noted with reservation and service but not acknowledged. Man who served our dessert souffle asked waitress if she was impressed when he poured the chocolate on top, very unprofessional and made the experience impersonal for us. One and done dining experience.

We absolutely adore Rise! Weve been so excited for the opening of the Plano location (we would visit the Dallas location on special occasions). The new Plano Rise is beautiful! Its only been open about one month, and weve already been several times. Weve truly appreciated the warm welcome from the staff - its been a thoughtful personal touch to be recognized when we come in to dine. Weve had the pleasure of having Mirlin as our waitress a few times, and shes top notch! The marshmallow soup is so delicious, the bread is amazing, and all of the soufflés that we have tried have been pure perfection!

We waited months for this location to open and have returned numerous times. While new, it carries the same charm and DNA of the Dallas location. We have found all the staff to be friendly and prompt. Mirlin has waited on us several times and every time is enjoyable. Because the Dallas location was a bit of a drive for us, we always ordered the same thing knowing we would love it. Because this location is so close we have had the opportunity to try far more of the menu and would order everything weve had again! So happy to see it thriving and look forward to many more visits!

We arrived with a very large crew - two families. We had very complex orders and our server was top notch. She was attentive and thorough in explaining the menu and specials. The new location didn t disappoint and attention to detail is obvious at every turn. We enjoyed our four course meal and fine wine while taking in all that the elegance of the atmosphere had to offer. We cannot wait to go back and reserve a seat on the patio!

My server was very sweet but I had to ask her for everything twice - water, bread (which someone else ended up bringing) and the bill. I m not sure why she was so forgetful, but hopefully with more training things will improve. Overall, it s a decent emulation of the original Rise in Dallas but there is something a little off about the ambience. It took one hour for me to receive and finish my soup and sandwich as I ordered immediately upon being sat. For some reason, my food did not taste nearly as good as the Dallas location and the portion was also a little smaller.

Was here for lunch by reservation. This place just opened beginning of April 2024. They have a very short menu for all day. We got today s special for crab meat soufflé and Apricot soufflé. Also had filet and ahi tuna as main courses. They were all very tasty. Interior was very French country decorated. There were patio seats available. It s a very busy place even for Monday lunch. Reservations are strongly recommended. It s worth waiting for the soufflés!

I wanted to take my mom out for a nice lunch. We decided on Rise in Plano that had recently opened. From the minute you walk in the cozy ambiance and decor sets the mood the restaurant is dimly lit, and you feel like you have just stepped into a small city cafe in France. The service is unobtrusive but they are always glancing and meeting your every need. The marshmallow soup is such a favorite and still just as savory and delicious as I remembered. We had the escargo and crab soufflés and each were unique and the flavors wow! They recommended the apple tart for dessert and we were so glad. It is the perfect balance of sweetness and the flaky pastry with the ice cream paired so well. We thought about French Press coffee (next time) but we instead decided to finish our sparkling wine that went so well with our meal. It was such a cozy atmosphere to share a lovely afternoon lunch with views of the lit branches around a seating area and views of the magic happening in the kitchen! The Executive General Manager even stopped by our table during our meal to say hello and check on us.

Rise Soufflé, the latest French dining venue in Plano, invites patrons into a world where the art of the soufflé is both celebrated and reimagined. Having recently opened its doors, the restaurant already exhibits the potential to become a staple for both locals and visitors seeking an authentic taste of French cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere at Rise Soufflé is one of quiet elegance, perfectly suited for the delicate nature of its namesake dish. The menu, while focused, ventures into a variety of flavors ranging from the savory delights of a truffle-infused mushroom soufflé to the sinful sweetness of a chocolate soufflé, ensuring that all palates find something to cherish. As with any new establishment, there are still a few kinks to be ironed out. The service, though earnest and enthusiastic, occasionally misses a beat during peak hours. Patrons might also find the presence of a sizeable bread knife board on each table more cumbersome than charming. This piece, while aesthetically pleasing, tends to dominate table space that could otherwise be used to enhance the dining experience with fewer obstructions. Nevertheless, Rise Soufflés dedication to its craft is evident, and its culinary offerings are executed with a finesse that promises greater refinement with time. As the restaurant continues to find its rhythm, it remains a delightful new addition to Plano s dining scene, worthy of a visit for those in pursuit of a novel and engaging meal. As it matures, this venue is surely on a trajectory to rise to the occasion of its ambitious aspirations.

Floating on a cloud of yum! Friends have told me to check out Rise, and tonight, I finally did. Worth the wait. When people know youve lived in France you get these sorts of recommendations. While it wasnt anything akin to what I knew from regular everyday French Bistro food, the French would be very proud of those soufflés. Those were definitely legit when it came to preparation and texture. A perfect rise, excuse the pun. The atmosphere was so nice. Dimly lit with warm and super friendly staff. We were fortunate to be waited upon by the darling and wonderful Sara-Elizabeth (aka Eliza). Hopefully, she gets a special kudo from her boss for this review. Well earned. She was attentive and gave fabulous menu suggestions, which we were super glad we followed. We started with the artichoke. Vegetarian oysters is how I always think of this dish . Sauce was nice, and it was cooked well. We ordered the gruyère jambon and truffle mushroom soufflés. Perfect texture and great flavor. Cooked to perfection. Light and puffy, not runny. We had the bubbles flight, sparkling water, and of course, their amazing bread complete with guillotine for slicing. Dessert was Saras favorite . The pecan praline. It had a flavor reminiscent of Poppycock caramel corn (one of my favorite all-time snacks). On our way out, we were given a bit of inspiration from a bingo cage ball filled with delightful little quotes on quality card stock. Better than a mint and a very nice extra little touch. Our experience was great, and I look forward to one day trying more menu items with more friends and family.

We had a bit of a rough time at Rise Plano, the food was great, but we would have ordered differently if our server had told us about the specials! So, we missed out on the crab cake soufflé and eclipse soufflé which both sounded amazing! We didn t realize there were off menu items - we heard the server at the table next to ours go over them after we had already received our dishes. As always the Escargot was outstanding. The Mac & Cheese soufflé was a new menu item since I had been to Rise (in Dallas)- it s very cheesy but good! Jamon & Gruyère is always a solid bet for eaters new to soufflé. The truffle & mushroom option was good- not super truffle flavored, more mushroom (to me). I always love the artichoke starter- it s delicious and was great at this location as well! The drinks took a long time to receive from the bar - was ordered 3 vodka sodas and when we got them finally, 2 were vodka sprites instead. We had to flag down a different attendant to ask for plates and cutlery because we had none WELL after our dessert soufflé was served. It sat on our table and we just stared at it and tried to look for our server for about 15 minutes before we asked the server at the table next to ours to help us, (she was very kind and got us what we needed quickly!). The hiccups are probably to be expected for a newly opened restaurant and new team of servers- I would still highly recommend Rise! And I m certain their service will be outstanding in the future! The atmosphere was very similar to the Dallas location- it s dark inside, but lovely with the lighted trees. Vegetarian options: Some starters are vegetarian- I recommend the artichoke! And the French onion soup is VERY good. I m honestly not sure they can do a soufflé without the eggs, but they do have a few main dishes that aren t soufflés. They have a few nice salad options.

My mom and I enjoyed an early lunch at rise. We ve been to the Dallas location so when one opened closer to home we had to stop in. I ordered the marshmallow soup and the soufflé special (something crab and chipotle. Can t remember exactly but it was good!) and my mom ordered French onion soup and a ham sandwich (she said the salad that came with her sandwich was amazing.) We love the atmosphere of the restaurant and obviously the food too. We will definitely come back. As a side note: highly recommend taking your mom here for Mother s Day!

Ive been waiting with great anticipation for Rise Plano to open, and I was thrilled to have lunch there last week! My house is about the same distance from the original location and this new one, so I was hopeful this would be just as good as Dallas. It lived up to my high expectations! Its warm and cozy inside, like stepping into a Paris cafe, and the service (Javier!) was incredible. Thoughtful, attentive, with smart recommendations (like the praline soufflé for dessert incredible!). The food and ambience were exactly what I had come to expect in many previous visits to the Lovers Lane location. Ill continue to visit Plano for a taste of France just up the road. In fact, on my next visit, I plan to sit at the sparkling bar with my husband. Cant wait to return!

My wife and I celebrated her birthday on the second evening after Rise #6 opened. While many restaurants often experience bad speed and quality of service during their initial days, youd never have guessed that this was only their second night in operation. The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. The manager stopped by our table to inquire about our experience at Rise #6 compared to the Rise in Dallas. Our verdict? A resounding success! Kudos to both the front-of-house and back-of-house management. Well definitely be back! .

I had the Jambon/Gruyere and my wife had the Mushroom Truffle. Both excellent!! It is exciting how great the service and food were on day three. We also had wine and the bottle was reasonably priced. Dessert soufles were excellent as well. We will be regulars.
