So much FUN!! We didnt escape the room but we escaped the monotony of same old predictable outing plans with friends. We went out with 4 couples and Im happy to report that this was much more fun than I expected and a very unique and positive experience for our entire group. The intricate level of details to the game and the kind accommodating staff made this a memorable experience that we will want to repeat. I was actually impressed with how well trained and friendly the staff was to make us feel welcome and they are not afraid to express their own fun personalities. The friendliness and funness of the staff and our game master created a great overall vibe so that played an important role into the overall game experience. More times than not, the social media hype doesnt match the real life product or experience; in this case it did! Red Door Escape Room exceeded our expectations. Thank you again to your team.

I came with my bf on our anniversary and we had a great time! It was challenging but I like how there was a lot to do. I really liked that it was just us 2 and that it was 1/2 price on Tuesday! The staff members are goofy and nice, and they were helpful too! At the end of the room, he came in and helped us solve the final challenge that we got stuck on.

Good for testing your mind, however would not recommend difficult rooms for the first time. There was no option at the time for less difficult rooms which for newcomers should be the priority and that regard so that way one can build up to more difficult rooms. Puzzles weren t working properly which they allow us five minutes extra in time, which is barely even enough when you re trying to figure it out for the first time. Be cautious when going, it is pricey for a mixed experience.

Our family did the Encounter room, although the person booking the room didnt notice it was the hardest. We solved it with six seconds to spare, thanks to lots of clues and a couple of teenage family members. The staff was very friendly and Pranav did an excellent job as puzzle master. Highly recommended.

We went to red door last night for a late night escape room. We have done lots of red door escape rooms and this one was probably the worst experience we have had. In warriors way, one of the puzzles wasn t working correctly and our game master had to stay in the room until we got the clue from the puzzle. It was frustrating that we lost time due to a malfunction of a puzzle. Our game master was giving clues to things we were already doing or had solved. It seemed like he was distracted and not paying attention to what we were doing. Very disappointed in our experience.

While the room and game would have been fun, our game master kept giving us clues assuming we already had opened a box so we were stumped for like 20 minutes becuase we couldnt do anything more without a certain box. It made the experience almost a waste of money becuase there was no way to escape the game without those pieces.The game master should have been better at keeping up where we were in the game. We left felling a bit jipped.

Unique experience for my family. We went as a group of 7. My 11 yr old had the most fun solving clues and puzzles. Very clean, good and timely clues by game master. Although we were not able to escape, loved the challenge(Lost Ruins). Will definitely go back again.

It was a fun and challenging experience. We genuinely thought we werent going to make it and in fact only managed to complete it with just over 1 minute but theres nothing quite like hitting the button then looking at the clock and seeing that we did complete the challenge in time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hints were useful while not being giveaways.

Our group did The Gift room and had fun with it. Theming was cool and there were multiple sections inside that linked together. Only gripe is that the hint system is a little archaic for how up to date everything else is. Every room Ive done previously has had the game master give hints over intercom, but Red Door was limited to pre-written text on a screen. We ran into some issues where we solved some puzzles out of order and the hints available didnt apply to our situation. Figured it out eventually but it would be nice to get more tangible feedback on how our group is doing.

My team completed The Gift escape room. This was a very enjoyable escape room. I completed it with about 7 seconds to spare, so it wasnt very easy. It was a good challenge that you can still joke and play around with friends while you complete. The story line was very exciting, and my group laughed a bit during the intro video. I would recommend this to teens and younger adults as a fun activity to grow bonds with friends or teamates.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to others and I would highly recommend going to the escape game instead. A group of friends and I spent a little over $200 for what we thought was going to be a great escape room but it turns out it was old, decrepit, falling to pieces and even had broken puzzles. In one of the rooms there was a box fan sitting in the corner because it would get so uncomfortably hot in there. Not to mention it was 40 degrees last night and the rooms were sweltering. When looking around the room there were multiple things in need of repair wood falling off the sides of props, wires sticking out, and just all over in very poor condition. At one point the game master had to come in and tell us to stand in the corner and close our eyes since a puzzle wasn t working and he had to manually open the next clues. In the beginning our game master was not very attentive and we had to press the clue button multiple times before receiving a response. I could go on and on about other issues we encountered but overall my advice is stay clear of this place.

I m updating my review to reflect my appreciation for her in hopes everything will improve moving forward. Very cliche saying but - if I could give this place zero stars I would. I went to red door Plano recently for a date night with my boyfriend and was sorely disappointed in wasting $82 on a room of broken puzzles and a game master that clearly wasn t paying attention to our game, provided unhelpful clues, ignored our multiple complaints throughout the game and disregarded me when I responded at the end with no I did not have fun . We did the warriors way and had experienced multiple of the puzzles broken which wasted most of our time, when we loudly acknowledged these issues with our game master over the intercom there was no solution given other than half hearted clues that weren t beneficial considering the puzzle was broken previously. I won t fault him for broken equipment, however his customer service and attention was lacking severely during our entire experience. After we finally escaped which felt like a consolation prize considering our upsetting experience, when asked if I had fun I responded with no and was disregarded by our game master, so once we grabbed our things we went out the door considering I had nothing nice to say to him at the time. I wish I stood my ground and requested a refund. Honestly disappointing service and will continue to spend my money at The Escape Game at either grapevine of the colony as they have always provided excellent quality experience and customer service.

We have done three rooms in the Plano location, 2 in Ft. Worth and all of the rooms in Southlake. The Plano rooms have been horrible. Things don t work right. The game masters were not giving helpful clues and the way the games were just did not make sense. We loved our other experiences at the other locations, but the Plano location has been terrible. The game master also took so much time to give us clues and it wasted our time.

Bad escape rooms usually have anticlimactic endings and/or don t flow naturally. The room we did had both. You should be able to solve a room without any hints and a puzzle should lead to a clear answer etc. The flow was just completely off in our room.

Multiple malfunctions - 2 doors were unlocked that weren t supposed to be until we found how to. Important items were broken. The clues on the screen were of things we already completed. Items that were supposed to appear didn t. It was disappointing. Tickets are not cheap and after multiple malfunctions you start losing your momentum. Probably will not be back.

My friends and I have been frequenting this company of escape rooms recently and this company is not my favorite. We have tried out 3 rooms Red Door and we have came to the same conclusion overall. The puzzles in these rooms are not as intuitive and the room actions don t feel like they connect. I have experienced rooms where cabinets open prematurely and rooms with extra un-accounted items that throw off the solution. The quality control is disappointing and this is not an issue other companies have as frequently as Red Door does. When you are spending $200+ to be in an room for 30-45mins, you really should be experiencing a much higher level of quality. Out of the 15+ escape rooms my group of friends have completed in DFW, our least favorite ones have been with Red Door. Many of the other rooms we hold top times for so we are not inexperienced. We really disliked the the ruins with the constant use of a binder of pages we could not take out. (It was almost like completing academic homework at times) I wish they were more creative with scattering clues about the rooms instead of having it all centralized in a binder. The puzzle at the end did not even function properly. The warriors way room is a little better, but you feel very unsatisfying finishing the room. Their room had drawers that open prematurely and puzzles that solve without anything happening. It feels like the staff at red door do not regularly refurbish their rooms. Their policy on booking is also very disappointing. My previous visit here, I wanted to book 2 rooms of 3 person each for 2 consecutive time slots instead of 1 room of 6 but the staff here and management forbade it. Having gone to many escape room companies, I learned the policies of this company before booking. All rooms are private and the minimum party size is 2 here. In addition, they charge $35 / person regardless of room size. Seeing these are the rules and wanting to get more action out of my party of 6, I called and booked 2 groups of 3 parties into 2 available time slots. They informed me that can t be done and would not explain about how that is against the rules. If I would have made the booking online separately under 2 different names, I would have been allowed to make it, but because I decided to inform the staff of this, management will not allow it. In addition, they even added that if I had tried to get around them and booked online, they would force our 2 groups together. I m paying the same price as if any other 2 separate parties of 3 would and it s very frustrating they would treat customers this way. Having gone to 3 escape rooms with this company, I would definitely recommend the many other escape room companies in DFW. It is the upkeep of the rooms and the management s informal policies that make this place not as entertaining as it could have been. The staff here have been friendly with me, hence the 2 stars. Please be better Red Door.

Weve went to 2 different experiences with this place and I honestly dont think theyve fully thought out these rooms accordingly. Weve tried twice and just feel this isnt the 1 for us considering my wife is considering taking a long brake from them, after the last time we went. Not to mention we were completing things and they the guy wouldnt allow it to proceed through until 10 mins 1 time and 14 the second time losing 24 mins and you only get an hour.......just have a group of 4 or more to assist and get there early so the workers are more awake for you to have a better chance at completing these!

Re: 11 yr old birthday party. While the escape experience was good, the after-party details need A LOT of improvement. There was not a lot of guidance from the Party representative should have given. The childrens pizza was late about 15-20 minutes in which I had to check in with the rep several times as to the arrival of the pizzas, meanwhile having to figure out what to do with our guests. In addition, providing ONE small 8oz water bottle per guest was just NOT enough for what was paid for the party. It would have been easier to provide several pitchers of water or maybe Iced Tea to give to the guests as they needed. You provided the cups but no drinks to go with it. We had to go to Walmart for a quick run for drinks. Also, you provide the cake but no lighter or some kind of candles to celebrate a birthday. Again, we had to run to Walmart to get these items. I am just comparing you to other entertainment venues that have these areas routinely covered during birthday parties. Basically, A LOT more communication is needed from the Red Door representatives during these times.

There were 5 of us and all but one had never done an escape room before. It was so fun and a great experience! Jonathan (I hope I have that correct) was our game master. He was so nice and personable and I m sure we wouldn t have escaped without the clues! It s pricey like all these things are, but you can see Red Door put a fair bit of work into their rooms and the storyline and their quality employees.

Very clean and family friendly. It would be fun for adults as well. We brought our 12, 9, and 5 year old so I stepped in the hallway to ask the employee if there were any scary/suspenseful parts to be aware of and he was very helpful. We enjoyed it and will be back.

We have done many escape rooms and this one was not great. Most of the clues were in a single book they gave us, and 2 specific parts did not work even when we had the correct solution. The employee had to come in and open it manually. Several parts were just poorly designed. We have enjoyed other games at red door but we do not recommend this one.

We love Red Door! The escape rooms are clean, well put together, the staff is friendly, and their clues are helpful. Only critique, they may need to start replacing some of their well-loved locks bc the letters/numbers are getting hard to read. Other than that, we have always had a wonderful experience!! Definitely recommend!

My date & I had so much fun at this escape room! We randomly chose the hardest one on an alien ship & it was an absolute riot! I will definitely be back now that I know what to expect. 10/10 recommend, especially if you want to scope out your person s problem solving skills. Ha ha!

It is very well thought out and most of the clues are right in front of you, you just have to have the right team with you that can focus on the clues. I will definitely be coming back and I have recommended them to my company as an option for a team building function.

Oh my gosh - so much fun! Our group of 11 was split in two groups and we both did the Lost Ruins (there are 2 separate rooms with the exact same game - I believe they only have this option with Lost Ruins) as a competition. The game is challenging - you really have to think about it! - but not impossible. You can get clues (which help A LOT!) to keep you moving along. Its really fun when you get a door to open to the next room - its almost like a whole new game. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth it!! Thank you, Red Door!!

I ve been to many escape rooms and didn t like this location that much. We did the lost ruins room and the person who was in charge of providing us clues was very slow. Other locations I ve been too were very quick to provide clues when asked. The chest in the 2nd room needs to be fixed we had the right combination but took us over 5 minutes to open since the knobs had to be turned a certain way. (Which keep in mind we didn t find that out until we got the clue with the answer we already had.) Overall the kids didn t like it and were very disappointed in the experience.

Staff was very nice and on top of things considering they had an AC issue the morning of our scheduled party. Not having AC in 90 degree weather so that made things miserable. They did give us the option to reschedule or cancel and gave us a small discount if we stuck to the reservations. I think we were more disappointed about their birthday packages which was enough for 5 year olds vs pre-teens so I would not recommend. Overall they did what they could but definitely would reschedule if the AC goes out again.

Such a great environment for a first-time coming cuz were from Houston. We went 04-15-23 the customer service was phenomenal our instructor was fun exciting. We went through the Warrior s Way game but with so many glitches, it took away from our experience. We could ve overlooked 1-2 glitches, but there were consistent glitches in every room we went through which was really frustrating and was no longer fun about halfway through. At one point, I had to leave the room to walk to the front to ask for a clue because we waited 5 mins for a clue only to find out the button wasn t working. Definitely a disappointment considering Red Door is slightly higher priced than most other escape room companies. However, I give credit to the great staff who tried their best to fix the issues and the props with in the rooms were pretty cool. The puzzles were unique to the theme. This escape room had great potential if it ran more smoothly.

Went to the Plano location for my first ever escape room this weekend and wow! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We were running a few minutes behind, and AJ gave us a call to check to see we were coming. He was very calming and even though we were not even close to solving all of the puzzles he assured us we had done a fine job thank you for the confidence boost AJ. It made the failure sting a bit less. Now I HAVE to go back to finish the mystery! We did the lost ruins, and this was an immensely exciting experience. Very well thought out, incredibly immersive, and quite the challenge. Even though this was definitely a beginner level room, and we had plenty of clues we could have used.

This was my Wife and Is second escape room, and the first one we ever escaped. We had an absolute blast. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The experience was both fun and challenging and the price was great for an hour adventure. The only thing I might have taken stars off for was the lighting, which was a little dim and made reading some of the clues difficult, but overall we had such a great time that this was a menial problem. We got a gift card for another adventure, which comes at a discount if you purchase it on the day you do your original escape room, and we plan to come back soon to do a different adventure.

Hi We booked Encounter escape room this past weekend . Here is my candid review on my first escape room 1. Idea was novel and different for some one like me as this is something that we never did although played couple of them virtually during covid something that we can order online . 2. Place is clean and we are in the room as soon as we walked in . Zero wait time . 3. Location was conveninet as it is right of 121 Spooiler alert : please do nt read further as it might spoil your experience if you were to do same room - Encounter Also I dont remember our GM but she was very friendly The rooms are pretty dark not sure if it is something that is needed but took some time for us to get adjusted to it. The second room needs some sort battery booster but it was pretty hard to get it working unless our GM mentioned that we need to work on it simultaneously and pretty hard Thrid room has hint about following pattern but we had no clue how it works even when we got clue but it was not very intuitive There was another clue about some sun and arrow but we didnt really get how that clue will help us or even remotley related Overall it was just an ok experience and would do a different place

The puzzles are very particular/touchy. You may know the solution is to place an item somewhere but if you dont place the item EXACTLY where it needs to go, the solution wont trigger, which can make you second guess yourself.

Had a great time running The Gift escape room. Maddie was an excellent Game Master, helping us all along the way. Some equipment was inoperable that we needed to solve that prevented us from getting to the next room, a real bummer that was, but overall it was an excellent experience and well definitely be doing this again! Well definitely ask for Maddie also! I wish they had given us a discount for our next visit being that it wasnt our fault. Or the very least, a discount for this visit. But it was fun.

Loved our experience at Red Door. We were greeted warmly and the staff was super friendly. Our puzzle was Encounter which was very challenging but super fun! I loved that I was able to book a private escape room for our girls night. I won t go to places that book multiple parties for one room - that s too many cooks in the kitchen for me. Encounter could be done with two people, but I recommend at least three. I definitely plan to go again to try some of their other puzzles in the near future!

Red Door was one of our first escape rooms we had ever done 5 years ago, and it s the experience we compare all other rooms to ever since because it set the bar so high! We since done every RedDoor room in the DFW area and each room is so clever and creative. Fun and challenging. Honestly some of the most intuitive solve pathways that have an incredibly logical flow. The new temp holiday room - hilarious premise and honestly just freaking adorable. Clever and full of heart and humor.
