This place is horrible compared to every other whirlyball location. They started us super past our start time, multiple carts didn t work (not user error, we ve all played multiple times), the person over the game didn t even keep score correctly and was on their phone their home game. Could go on and on but was a horrible experience.

Really disappointed with this place. Nothing like I remember several years ago. The place looked run down. We had a birthday party planned but they didnt have our reservation. They were still able to accommodate our 10 middle school boys so that was good. The carts themselves were terrible. About half of them didnt work right. We heard one of the workers mention that they were supposed to be serviced the night before but the manager didnt show up. The host we had tried his best, no complaints there. And the kids still managed to enjoy themselves and laughed a lot so we were grateful for that. This place could be so much better with a little work. The game itself is fun. Especially when you get a good cart that runs smoothly. The arcade area was lacking but a good distraction for the kids, while we checked out. We would try it again if we knew the carts were working properly.

I only gave it a 1 star but it wasn t worth the 1 star. Booked kids birthday party, no record of it when we arrived but it was ok because there wasn t another party booked at that time. The place is huge with a few sparse arcade games throughout. Most of them didn t work. Kids got 4 tokens a piece at the end of the party but it took 4 tokens for each game. So they got 1 arcade game a piece, the whirley cars didn t work. There were yellow and red cars. 2 out of 5 yellow cars wouldn t move at all. So I made the kids switch out each game. I mentioned it to the staff and was told the owner doesn t do anything to make any repairs and he was supposed to come in the night before and make repairs and he didn t. The last game 1 red car started smoking and the game was over. The pizza was great it was from Papa John s. I had to ask for plates. I asked for napkins and the came from the bathroom. Overall the place was clean. The service is terrible. We made the best of it because we had no other choice. 2 staff members for the whole place. I asked for the phone number for the manager and was told she didn t have it, I said so if this place catches on fire, you don t have anyone to call, I have it but I can t give it to you. Awful and embarrassing to my guests. Kids always make the best of it but it s terrible .

Had a worst experience when we went this holiday season. Been there 3 times before but this time it was crazy bad to worst. We had booked a package with 15 participant. 5-6 times 2 cars got stuck, they took nearly 20 mins to fix the issue... 1 hour was totally gone with 3 players not playing. On top of this, the pizza had not arrived even after 1.5 hours, the kids were going crazy. None of the gamming machines were working. The quaters were just gone without the toys vending out, when asked the front desk, the guy just said we cannot do anything as we dont deal with those machines. did not expect this kind of experience. Had to talk to the manager over personally to get things sorted, the front desk guy was not at all helpful. We waited 2.5 hours for nothing. Used to love this place, not anymore. We had to cancel our dinner reservation too because of the delay.

Whirlyball is 5/5 as far as fun goes. It seems basic, but its a lot of fun. Be prepared to be sore after. You can get hit pretty hard. The hits are not soft. Took off a star for the same reason as others: just kind of old and needs some updates.

Went a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. We played Whirlyball, Had a blast, lots of fun. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reason for the 3 stars is because the place need some serious maintenance and cleaning. We played on court #2, towards the end of our first game one of the carts just stopped working, staff had to swap it out with a less janky cart. Score board did not work. Most of the cart were pretty beat up, the one I was in had a hole in floorboard. At one point everything just stopped working, and we stated smelling a burning smell. Staff could not figure it out, so they switched us to court #1 so we could finish our game.

Wowsers! Worst birthday party ever! Went for my friend s son s party and we were flabbergasted by the lack of working games. She paid for the laser tag for at least 15 kids. Well only 10 of the best were functional. But the advertisement say you can have up to 24 players. We couldn t do teams because only 10 vests were working and they were all for the same team. Then they tell a group of 10 year olds not to run upstairs because the carpet is ripped. Like that s like telling a dog not to bark. The air hockey table puck kept getting stuck and there was only one side of the basketball hoop shooting game working. The boxing bag game didn t work either. No one came to check on the party to see if we needed anything. The teenage workers all looked like they couldn t care less about anything. We didn t dare do the whirlyball because most of the crts were duck taped together. The place just needs a major upgrade. Workers included.

I would NOT recommend going here. We had a set appointment time however the carts were terrible. Out of the 10 players 6 carts would NOT move unless another player bumped to move the cart. During the first game we complained to the staff running our game, and requested to use the other room. She said those carts werent any better. My cart had a hole in the bottom where I could touch the floor. Under my seat the grate to protect the rider from the electrical components was half missing. Of course the ball fell into my cart into that space. This is a potential hazard - if my kids were using that cart. Upon checkout we requested a discount due to the poor equipment. Liam, the manager on duty, proceeded to tell us the carts in the other room were just repaired and worked much better. He also stated they would not provide a discount even though our carts didnt work. I dont normally post reviews however Id like to warn others to find another location. The equipment doesnt work and management could care less

If I could give it zero stars, I would. This place is completely ran down and the equipment is very dangerous. My 10 year old daughter was on a bumper car when it started smoking. She was so scared, she ran from the car on the electric floor. Thank god she wasn t hurt, but she was traumatized and will never go back there. Also, the cars hit and jerk around very hard, so if you have headaches, neck or spine issues, then I definitely would not recommend. Took me over two weeks to recover from the headaches. Great concept, but very poor execution on all fronts P.s. I have the video to prove the horrific scene of my daughters smoking bumper car!! She was definitely in fight or flight mode

Very fun concept, however, a couple of the cars were grinding terribly loud, the bumpers on several of them were shoddy, one worked for 4 rounds then just gave up and there was a smell of burned rubber in the air. Most of us left with some bruises but overall had a ton of fun. Hopefully they have a good maintenance team for these things or upgrade them soon, because it is such a fun and enjoyable concept!

Absolute horrible experience ! The worst customer service I ve ever encountered! When the referee told us our hour was up ( we had 20 minutes left) she argued that another party was waiting for their turn ( ugh we waited on the party before us as well) she told us to chill out and calm down! Bumper cars did not work well at all. My son sat and cried because he sat and watched because his car would not work. When time was up there was no effort from employees to fix the issue. So my husband switched cars with him while my husband sat and watched. Unacceptable!! Despite this experience we were still expected to pay the overpriced amount. This establishment is run down, filthy and should be shut down! The GM James Spencer could have done more to make this experience right! Don t waste your time and money at Whirlyball in Plano!

I visited the Plano location as a family fun outing and it was not worth it at all! TERRIBLE customer service, it was filthy, not sanitary at all. The representative keeping score was highly disrespectful and argued with the customers. We had carts that did not work and they were not willing to switch them out. This place is amazing! The game is one of the most fun things Ive ever played! Call and schedule a couple hours for any event from family time to business team building day. Church group rented a court as we try to do every year. Place is very run-down, 50% of the arcade games are out of order, 50% of the bumper cars failed to work properly (if at all--two cars were removed from service), the goals no longer respond to hits from the ball (which means the ref has to determine the points), and our ref spent half the 2-hours with head down on the phone missing our scores and not seeing the timer run down. Then, we were almost arrogantly reminded as we were checking out-- Last chance to leave a tip!. No doubt this probably ended an annual tradition....

Came here over the weekend for my sons birthday party, we dropped $600 dollars here!!! For what!?!? Most of the machines were broken, the place looked like no one had been in it since the 90s. It was awful. It was HOT. They even over charged us $350 and refuse to give the money back (even though I have receipts) PLEASE don t go here, it s discussing, hot, overpriced and not fun. Staff has NO customer service skills, they got annoyed everytime I d come up and ask a question (because they didn t explain any rules to the party package I bought) We rented out the laser tag arena for an hour for $350, the Referee that would be instructing the game was 30 mins late, so we had to wait to start our party, and they charged us more money. I AM ABSOLUTELY UPSET WITH THIS PLACE!

Weve been here several times over the years,we always have a blast coming in a small group. Had an event this past weekend & it was great! They do a good job cleaning. The only downfall we had was the scoring is done by a person & our person was not always paying attention... When you have a competitive group of isnt fair! If your going to manually take score then make sure they are paying attention. Other than that we had a blast & would recommend it for parties or team building events.

This place is so much fun , dope whirlyball game. Recommended for groups of more than 10 people. Some of the cars are bad and can get stuck at grey spots during game. They do mention it honestly where one can get stuck and how one can get outta from there. This place also provided other games like arcade, pool, fooseball. They need better pool sticks honestly and many in number with chalk too , I would still rate them 5 since we mainly go there for whirlyball event and less of pool.

I had to rate atleast one star in order to leave a review. Cars were in poor condition with modi of them being stuck half the time. When complained about it the responded was we had bigger teams Im the day which caused the fuses to get jammed (if you know this is happening, why take more reservations at all!?) The host/assistant in the room who was keeping a score didnt seem too enthusiastic to have us there. Overall, not worth the money.

The court we were on had a dead zone that was >20% of the entire court. Carts were stuck continuously. Also, the person keeping score was on his cell phone the whole time, and missed half of the points our teams scored. We had to continuously tell him to update the score while sitting next to him in the referee area. Not happy at all with my experience.

Although I did not play, I did enjoy watching a couple matches. Also there are arcade games so I played some pinball. Overall a lot of laughs and fun.

Came here for the whirlyball! It was a blast! Had a group of 10 which was perfect because ten cars can be on the court at the same time. Not a bad price split between 10 people for an hour of fun.

Place needs an update. During the game our cars kept going into dead zones and you had to have someone come and bump you out the way... but they tell you not to bump the cars! Holes in wall. Physically the place looks like a mess, cars need to be updated, walls painted.... just take care of the place! If your company blocks arcade establishments prepare to pay out of pocket and not a corporate card....

Let me preface my review by stating my love for Whirlyball. Its a great game thats tons of fun and I always look forward to it. The problem is with the facility, not the game. The cars a old and dying where some of the seatbelts actually do more harm than good. The floors are uneven and scuffed. There are literally holes in the walls near the courts. Some of the arcade games are nonfunctioning and dying too. On top of these issues, some of the staff are a little too lax about the rules. Some lenience here and there makes it fun, but it gets frustrating at a certain point. Overall, its a fun experience at reasonable prices, but the place needs some TLC to be comfortable.
