We dropped in for late lunch on a Tuesday. It was not crowded and we were seated promptly in a cozy booth. Love the decor and the atmosphere. They have a great wine selection as well as signature cocktails. We enjoyed the blackened salmon and roast beef sandwich with au jus. The service was superb and their patio is a nice touch. We will return.

Bavette Grill is a sophisticated restaurant in Granite Park, beautifully decorated with artwork and books. There is outdoor seating as well. We started with the Short Rib Croquettes. They came with two sauces. Delicious! For our main courses, we ordered the Estilo Gaucho salad (with baby arugula, avocado, dried cranberries, crushed pistachios, cheese bread crumbs, candied bacon, and a champagne vinaigrette) and the Grilled Salmon Nutberry Salad (with mixed greens, blueberries, honey pecans, pistachios, honey vinaigrette, and poppyseed yogurt dressing.) My husband said the salmon salad was excellent and he would order it again. Service was very friendly and attentive. Our server was David and he was wonderful; so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We visited because Bavette Grill was a participating restaurant in the 2024 Taste of Plano benefitting the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. It is important to us to patronize businesses that give back to the community. We highly recommend Bavette Grill.

Absolutely no complaints about Bavette. I was in town for work and my wife tagged along for the trip to spend her birthday week in Texas with me. We went on 8/6/24 for her birthday and had incredible service, the food was delicious (get the steak tips and mac, trust me), and the restaurant was clean and full of ambience. And to top it all off, after looking at my credit card statement days later, I see that Bavette gave us half off our meal for my wifes birthday which was extremely kind of them and wasnt even mentioned during our time there! I wish I had gotten our waiters name as he was prompt and impeccable too! We will most definitely be back the next I come to the area!

I had to come back and try the lunch after a disappointing dinner. When we had problems, the manager stepped in and corrected everything at dinner. Sure enough, it was just a bad night. Lunch was great! I had develed eggs and chicken Cobb. Both were delicious and not over sized. Service was impeccable. My new fav in Plano!

The food and atmosphere here is really amazing. Their menu has a large number of gluten free options for appetizers, main entrees, and desserts. Roque was our server and he was very attentive to ensure everything I ordered was gluten free (I have Celiac and felt very safe here). I wish we knew about this spot sooner - the steak and the macaroni were incredible!

Service is exceptional, the staff are always checking up to make sure you re being taken care of, they are extremely polite and friendly. This restaurant is well versed in dietary restrictions, they were able to accommodate our celiac disease/gluten allergy and the food was delicious. There was a bit of a wait for the food so I would recommend starting off with an appetiser but the food is delicious and worth the wait, I highly recommend!

We went during a slow time and it was amazing. This definitely feels like a place that can get super busy - everyone should eat here. Tried the salmon cakes, deviled eggs, chili glazed chicken and macaroni and cheese. We all had our favorites - then the chocolate cheesecake - excellent finish!!! DO NOT MISS DESSERT. The sun was out in full force so we plan to return when is a little cooler and walk the boardwalk area after our next meal here. If youre the type to imbibe, they will take care of you! Last night 6/28/24 was my first time going to this restaurant. The inside is very nice and the service was awesome. I went on a double date and we had a nice time celebrating a birthday. I had bread and the salmon cakes. This morning I woke up to severe abdominal pain and spent the morning on the commode with diarrhea. This is really unfortunate, I had a nice experience at this restaurant, but I will not be back. Thank goodness, I only ate two salmon cakes, there is an option to order five, and I only ordered three. The cakes are rather small, so I am hoping that it is out of my system and the diarrhea passes soon.

What a lovely gem! We found this restaurant through the VisitPlano Foodies program. I absolutely LOVE the decor and vibe of the restaurant in general. Modern and the seating is very generous. After we were leaving, it looks like they had covered patio seating. Our server was very attentive and gave recommendations. Ethan delivered our wine and as a delight to speak with. We eat steak products pretty frequently, so we ordered the BVT Steak & Fries as well as the Short Rib Steak (and my husband ordered the cheesy potatoes). The fries were better than I had anticipated. The flat iron BVT steak was juicy and tender (and had the pineapple flavor). My husbands short rib was not what he had anticipated. He usually has an italian braised short rib that has been simmering all day. No points taken off for that since we knew it could likely be different. I will say the cheesy potatoes were way too soupy (although had a good flavor). No dessert for us. We are light eaters and had enough. But, the pistachio dessert looks so good!!!! Nice visit! We look forward to seeing you again and experiencing other parts of your menu!

My Mom and I were running late for our 12:30PM reservation, so I called the restaurant to inform them of our 15-minute delay. Rebecca was very kind, courteous, understanding, and professional, told me not to worry and that she would inform the hostess of our slightly delayed arrival. When we walked in, we were greeted by Ethan with a smile and shown to our table. As first-time visitors, we were wowed by the phenomenal food, the ideal portions, impeccable service, vibrant energy, cool vibe, and beautiful ambiance. The song choice was solid too! We enjoyed it all. Our server, Aylin, suggested several Menu items and was attentive without being intrusive, engaging, and receptive - made sure we had what we needed and checked on us during our meal which we appreciated. She also mentioned Wine Dinners, Tastings, and other Specials she felt we would be interested in. I loved her energy and enthusiasm. We will make sure to request her again on our next visit. We ordered the Sweet Dreams and Come Fly With Me Cocktails. Clearly, only the freshest ingredients are used in the preparation of their handcrafted cocktails. Both invigorated our taste buds and had just the right balance of flavor and intensity. Additionally, Aylin brought still water - per our request - to the table. The Tomato Basil Soup lent a harmonizing, creamy, savory, sweet, richness, depth, and well-balanced flavor. It was an absolute delight for our palate. The Chicken Club was comprised of French Bread with layers of tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, flavorful high-quality meat that melded together beautifully with mayo and garden pesto. The Fries were a true standout. I love that they are small, thin, well-seasoned, and plentiful. With the garlic herb salt they use, it is no wonder these little numbers are so addictive. The BVT Steak was most noteworthy, however, and undoubtedly the star of the show. THE most succulent, tender cut of meat I have ever had. It was well-marbled and provided that texture and depth of flavor that far exceeded my expectations. The Balsamic Glaze imparted a distinct flavor and complemented the steak remarkably well. It was also perfectly cooked to my liking (medium-well). Every bite was pure heaven. The Cream Cheese filled Peppadew Pepper was a nice touch and further enhanced the taste of the steak by way of a smoky, sweet flavor. The Pistachio Tres Leches Cake was the perfect conclusion to our meal. The creamy mouthfeel, spongy texture, and a nutty crunch to top it all off was the ideal accompaniment to the Coquito - which came highly recommended by Aylin and which she so delectably described as liquid dessert- and it did not disappoint. Props to the owners, management, and Chef. Five Star Meal all around. All dishes excellent! We will be back! They even have a Hydroponic Garden on their patio and all sauces are made-in-house. Pretty much all items are (or can be modified to be) Gluten-Free. It s more than just being healthy or trendy; it s a lifestyle - and Bavette Grill hit it out of the park!

Ok, my daughter has celiac and has to be very careful where she eats and Bavette nailed it. They don t use wheat flour anywhere, just tapioca flour so no worries. The apps were great and dinner didn t fail either. Even the bread pudding at the end was awesome. Service was great throughout the evening and the prices were more than fair. Googles rating system isnt great. Is it Le Cirque, Manhattan ? No, but 4 stars on Google is death and Bavette doesnt deserve that. Great place to meet family and friends without that hoity toity pretentiousness. Its more like youre a member walking into your nice club. You may be dressed nice, maybe less so, but the place is yours. The food is very good. I had the BVT Steak and fries which was delicious. Friends and family had other items and enjoyed everything. Yesterday (5/15/24) was my first visit to Bavette Grill. I was meeting a girlfriend for lunch and the moment I waked in, the hostess was AMAZING! She was so friendly and hospitable, I immediately felt so welcomed. I am traveling on business and had the good fortune to dine at Bavette Grill last night. The experience was basically perfect from start to finish, and I will certainly be back! The service was absolutely outstanding, and frankly set the tone for everything that followed. I arrived perhaps only 15 minutes before closing time, and asked somewhat sheepishly whether the kitchen was still open. The hostess could not have been kinder or more welcoming as she answered in the affirmative and showed me to a booth. The busboy, who was super friendly and helpful, asked whether I wanted water, and he then brought it quickly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. The decor is tasteful and understated, the ceilings are high, and the dining area is spacious. The music was a mix of jazz and vocal covers of some of my favorite songs, including Clocks and Wicked Game. The volume was just right, too; audible and enjoyable, but not loud. My waiter for the evening was Kenneth F, and he provided outstanding service throughout the meal. He was friendly, professional, and courteous, and his service was attentive without being remotely intrusive. I did not feel rushed in the least, despite the late hour. It was he who recommended the French Dip Au Jus when I asked about a couple of alternatives, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the fries as well, and one of the other servers (he could have been a food runner) mentioned that they make their own ketchup. After I finished my entrée, Kenneth asked if I would like dessert, and then walked me through the choices. The chocolate cheesecake was simply amazing, and I can recommend it heartily. As I was leaving, I spoke briefly with the manager, to compliment Kenneth, and also to rave about the positivity and professionalism of the other staff who I had encountered that evening. When I was younger, I worked in restaurants as a busboy, dishwasher, pizza chef, and waiter, and I know excellent service when I see it. These employees seemed genuinely happy to be there, and they were engaged and attentive. The manager was grateful for the feedback, and he confirmed to me that what I described was the culture that they seek to foster at the restaurant. It shows!

We came in for lunch, there were 3 tables plus ours. Took over 10 min to get our drinks in an empty restaurant. Our appetizers came out before our drink. The food and drinks were a miss. We ordered a lemon drop martini and Moscow mule. Both of the drinks were beyond sour. I asked for a side of simple syrup. The spinach dip had zero flavor, and the short rib croquettes were good but greasy. I ordered a Caesar salad tasted like romaine and mayonnaise. I also ordered the mac and cheese, it was just a blob of cheese with a sprinkle of noodles. My bf got the friend chicken sandwich that was good. Bavette was like visiting your coolest friend from college at his weekday urban loft and meeting his spouse who happened to have several degrees in farming, interior design and culinary arts. All their children are happy to be there and so excited to tell you about what their parents are up to. It s warm and hip and feels completely unpretentious but also like you re very lucky to be invited there. The hostess assured me my leggings and sneakers weren t inappropriate and seated us kindly. Kenneth, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and brought us two beautiful mocktails with herbs THEY GROW year round. Delicious. We ordered spinach dip for an appetizer which came with house made tortilla chips and house made salsa. For entrees we had the bone in pork chop (!!! Best I ve ever had) and Mac n cheese with steak which was melt in your mouth delicious. A side salad with house made champagne and honey vinaigrette to top vegetables grown in house - unbelievably delicious and fresh. We were sad when it was over. Kenneth had a number of tables and yet, treated us as if we were the only people there. We took dessert to go, honestly even though we were stuffed, to try and hang on to the experience. This was by far my favorite dining experience I ve had in years and I travel all over the country and eat at all kinds of swanky restaurants. You do not get this kind of service or attention to detail in food anywhere. Go eat here, immediately. Kid-friendliness: Lots of families were there eating.

This place has hit the mark in so many ways. Being a Fine Dining Server/Bartender/Chef/Kitchen Manager/ Floor Manager/Prep Cook/Etc. Over the last 24 years, I rarely walk into a restaurant and leave highly impressed. They say nurses make the worst patients and I get that, because I always find myself critiquing every position when I dine out. I will do a brief walk through. I walked in with my friend/High Tea Manager Alan and was greeted immediately by Eric who sat us. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the decor. Eric got our drink order and described the drink menu and wine list with great detail. He attempted to sell us a bottle of wine at very little over market price. I didn t tell him I don t drink because I wanted to test his knowledge on wines lol. I ordered a sweet tea which I know is not on the menu, it s not on the menu at my restaurant either but can easily be made with simple syrup so I ordered that. Again very impressed. I had 3 cups and my drink was replaced every time before it ran out with a new tea and side of simple syrup from the bar. Everything about Eric s presentation and knowledge of the menu and wine/cocktail was outstanding. He even offered us a lunch and dinner menu because it was close to 4. Eric is very knowledgeable. On top of that he has a way of making his guests feel comfortable, and not rushed. It was a personal and enjoyable experience. You can tell that Eric has a passion for serving and a gift that very few of us have. He holds the same values as me when it comes to the customer and the well being of the restaurant being more important than money. I ordered the deviled eggs and French soup. The taste of the food was amazing and so was the presentation, Eric properly coursed my order. Then I ordered the burger and I was in heaven, many years ago I cooked at a restaurant in Florida that used different steaks to grind up and make burgers and they were so good. When I bit into this burger made with steaks and short rib it brought back so many good memories of my early 20s and working there, it was just great. The homemade ketchup with Frites was incredible.The head chef even came to the table to introduce himself which was awesome. The bartender introduced himself and so did the manager. I couldn t possibly eat anymore. I will definitely be back to try dessert. Everything about this experience made me and my guest leaving amazed. Outstanding job from everyone.

I have been to a lot of nice restaurants, and this is one of the best of all time. This was the first time we ate here so we didnt know what to expect. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in and our waiter was fantastic. He had a lot of passion for their restaurant. It started with the spinach dip that tasted very good and was fresh. The fried chicken was insanely good, lightly fried. To top it off, we had a dark chocolate cheesecake, it had some sort pistachios topping that really made it very unique and delicious. We will be back! I dont write a lot of reviews but had to here.

Bavette Grill is hands down the best restaurant in the Granite Park area. It is the hidden gem of Plano. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. What a gem!! What started out as a gluten free test for us has turned into one our favorites! Just took 8 friends here for a date-night away from the kids and had a wonderful time on the patio. The croquettes are a MUST, and the rib steak I had was phenomenal. Not a single plate was a miss for us. Randomly came in for lunch. Frisco has been harder to find great places to eat, although it touts a high ratio of restaurants. Greeting initially was expedient and welcoming. Ushered to the outdoor patio which was an ideal location and vibe for a mild fall day. Waiter was immediately attentive and made many recommendations, as well as a depiction of the cuisine structure. They focus on healthier fresh, yet innovative menu. From the ginger cocktail, to the spinach dip, chicken sandwich to dessert..superb. Each item showed the thought and layer of pallette designed for an optimal culinary experience, and seems guiltless. Would definitely recommend and will return time and time again. What a hidden gem this restaurant is! Not only was our food out of this world, but our server Dori was top notch! Drinks were fabulous, all named after hit 80s songs. I had the Take on Me and husband had Kokomo...very fresh and blended perfectly. Lamb chops were the best this side of Texas! Wow! So glad we stumbled up Bavette Grill! Chef has done a fabulous job with layering flavors, perfect seasoning and creative(but not wierd) dishes. Short Rib Croquettes app is yum! The pistachio tres leches wasnt sponge cake, it was regular cake, with frosting, topped with an extraordinarily sweet pistachio tres leches sauce, it wasnt soaked in it, and it didnt taste good at all. I love pistachios, and tres leches is normally the only cake I like because I cant stand regular cake. The passion fruit cheesecake was made with sour cream, so it tasted pretty bad too. We had the tuna tatake which was generously portioned but the sauce was very sweet. I ordered the redfish and shrimp as the waitress said it was very popular. It was very bland and fishy and the shrimp on top was cold. It was basically just plain fish and shrimp without much seasoning. After I got home I realized it didn t come with the red pepper sauce advertised on the menu. We also had the bread pudding which was good but not great. I really wanted to love this place because it has a nice ambiance, temperature controlled patio, good service and they grow organic herbs onsite but we probably won t be back. We had dinner here and I was really impressed with the attentive service by Quinn and the food. The drinks were also outstanding, especially the old fashioned. We had the surf and turf, the burger and the grilled salmon, everything was excellent and beautifully presented. Prices are on the high side, but the quality of their food and drinks are worth it. Ive had coworkers, family members, dates and anyone else who will pay attention to me here, but I guess I never took the time to sit down and ramble on about what makes this place so great. Well, lets commence the rambling... though if youre like 99 percent of the population who uses the Internet, youve got better things to do and you can just take this five-star rating as the gospel and skip the next 5+ paragraphs. My first impression of Bavette Grill was not a good one, though that was through no fault of their own. I loved the former BBQ place that was previously in this corner of the Granite Park strip mall and I was hesitant to accept anything else moving in here and taking the place of a joint that dealt in otherworldly cornbread and ribs. Nonetheless, a coworker recommended I come here and Im glad she did because Ive gotten over the BBQ place that shall remain nameless. Bavette Grill manages to impress before you glance at the menu. The decor is kind of a mish-mash of contemporary with... other stuff. Booths are plentiful, lighting is ambient but still bright and the covered patio is one of those that can conceivably be used 365 days of the year, regardless of the weather. Im not doing the best job explaining it, clearly, but suffice it to say that quite a bit of thought went into the layout and design choices on display here. (I would like to give a quick round of applause to whoever picked out the wall decor in the mens bathroom. Theres a sculpture in there that Im trying to figure out how to sneak out without anyone noticing.) The wine list and cocktail menu offer plentiful choices, and its my hope the beer selection will follow suit someday. (Then again, the Frisco/Plano area is not lacking for beer bars, so it balances out.) Cocktails have a funny naming convention that zeroes in on 80s nostalgia and since Im wearing a Swatch watch as I type this, they know their audience. But the food menu is the true highlight. Ive been coming here about a year-and-a-half and Ive never had anything bad. Salmon cakes are a must as an appetizer if its your first time, while the tomato basil soup is a delicious alternative. Salads and sandwiches run the spectrum of options (shout out to the lunch menus ahi sandwich which can also be found in the dictionary next to the word masterpiece), and the entrees are wonderful. I used to get this tuna steak dish that was legit but it swam off the menu months ago. Since then, the salmon with rice pilaf has never let me down and a recent pepper steak special has me now thinking the kitchen staff is entirely made up of archaeologists who have unearthed secret cooking techniques hitherto unknown anywhere else in the world. (I had dessert here once on a date and I remember nothing about it. The dessert, not the date. Im not a sweets person to start with, so use your best judgment if finishing your meal with a dessert.) Of course, Id be remiss to not mention the staff, and everyone Ive ever had the pleasure of encountering here has been exceptional. Ethan, Elizabeth and all the rest make sure every customer has a memorable visit with their service, attitude and engagement. Kevin waited on us this most recent visit, and he continues this tradition with an attention to detail rarely seen in, well, any occupation. I dont know if hes new or not, but hes an essential member of this team. We were searching for gourmet burgers and a nice patio for a late lunch on Memorial Day. It was our first visit, and we had a great experience! We really appreciated that we were greeted genuinely and warmly by three different employees as we walked in. This seems like such a simple thing but is lacking at most of the restaurants that we have visited lately (even some that used to be our favorites to frequent regularly). It was immediately clear that everyone on the Bavette team was aligned to make sure that all our needs were met. Our server was attentive, and the food and cocktails were excellent. This was our first time at Bavette and it did not disappoint. We started with deviled eggs and steak crostini, which were full of incredible flavors. Then I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich, my fiance had the bavette burger, and we shared a side of brussel sprouts. We didnt know what to order and we so we had a cross section. The wait staff was attentive and so was the manager. We will most definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is super cute! Classy but comfortable. The service was attentive and Eric was our waiter, he met our needs but he didn t converse very much. I enjoy when my waiters are a little more personable, and it was super city feel. We arrived when they only had an hour left to be open. I didn t feel rushed but the ticket exchange at the end was weird. I placed the tip in the total and didn t do the math, but he came and asked me. So it was awkward. Ok, now the food, we had beef/steak tips and Mac and cheese and spinach dip! Now it isn t soul Mac and cheese but it tasted good for what it was! The pasta was really good and the beef had a good flavor. The food was presented beautifully. I would go back! I m curious about the rest of the menu.

We were there for the set menu and wine event. About 30 people at long tables. The food was amazing with 4 courses and a selection of 6 amazing wines. It was $85 per person for the event and well worth it. The owner, the chef and winemaker from Italy were all there. A very special experience that we all loved.

There was a very odd (almost foul) smell in the restaurant. It definitely didnt help my appetite. We tried several dishes that we split among our party. None were particularly notable. The staff was friendly, but the meal was not great, particularly for the price. I would not recommend.
