We have been visiting this place for some years. The food is exquisite, authentic Mexican food. The breakfasts are very rich and the portions are abundant. The staff is very friendly. They served me quickly and were attentive to every detail in my consumption. I highly recommend it. The owner is a very beautiful person. attentive and friendly she goes table by table asking if we need anything definitely every year I come back and if we have the opportunity we come to visit them twice visit this place you will not regret it

The food was excellent. I had the chille relleno plate. It was huge and delicious. Tortillas were soft when they came out but got a tad bit hard minutes later and the cheese on top of my chile was not melted all the way through but this is just nit picking. The flavors were amazing The rice and beans were so authentic. My husband had the mollejas plate and it was huge and he loved it. Super fresh food. We r definitely going to return.

I had a waiter turn and I told him to bring a machacado and some rancheros eggs. He asked me which tortillas I told him to have a corn one and you waited for my wife to say that she wanted them because she wasnt there, she said ok and then she told me right now there was nothing else. of corn, which I know is not true, that action seemed wrong to me

Went in this morning for breakfast. They bring you a few chips and salsa. Salsa was tasteless and not spicy at all. It was pretty much just liquid. Ordered huevo ala mexicana plate. Waitress brings out a taco?? I told her I ordered a plate. No big deal, she takes it and comes back with a plate. Tasteless, bland, no flavor at all. Had to add salt and pepper and then more salt because of how tasteless it was. Coffee was watered down. Also, cashier that was there on Saturday July 20 was so rude and snotty, that I will never go back. She has a major attitude problem.

I went here a long time ago with some co workers....I recently moved to the area so I decided to try it again....I was not disappointed! The food was so good!! I had the sizzling fajitas... the portion is great I ended up taking some left overv home! The meat was tender and well seasoned. My dad had the Monterey tacos and he really enjoyed them. My mom had the chicken sandwich and it was really good as well! We found our new favorite spot!

Coffee was hot and hit the spot! Food was delicious, chilaquiles had amazing bursts of flavor without the heat , perfectly spiced for anyone to enjoy children or elder that cant handle too spicy. Ham and egg plate was served hot with a good amount of egg scrambled into thick ham cubes,also very filling. Havent mentioned the staff was very attentive!! Amazing service. Booth was a little messy, so many crumbs stuffed in to the seats its noticable they havent been cleaned out in a long time. Tortillas de harina are a little stiff,not as soft and fluffy as homemade flour tortillas but they pass. Chips and salsa are amazing!! Perfectly crisped and I wish I had the recipe for the table salsa!!

The lemonade tasted bad and not fresh.(flavorless crystal light) Then I ordered the avocado/guacamole appetizer for 8.99. The serving size is a small avocado since I ordered it without the sour cream. FYI The avocado is mixed with sour cream to make it seem like more. Then I ordered the shrimp ajo and was really disappointed. The beans did not have any flavor for being a Mexican restaurant, the rice needed more time to cook as it was hard like plastic and the shrimp was flavorless. The only this that was fresh and tasty was the saladitas. The lady waitress/ cashier was really rude as well.

Update: 3/18/24 Came again with parents, brother with wife. They ordered enchiladas, big burrito, carne guisada and I tried the burger. As always food was great. No complaints here. Update: 9/3/23 Place is still the same. Food is still great. This time I ordered grill chicken sandwich my mom a burger and my dad bistec ranchero. Delicious as always. Update: 6/23/23 Place is still the same and still very good. I ordered a burger so did mom my dad have some bestic plate. They said it was all very good. I loved my burger it was juicy and very tasty. The fries that came with it were nice and crispy. Not to soggy and not to hard. This place was really good. Tried it because my brother n law said it was good. So took my parents, and it didnt disappoint. The lady who service us was really nice and attentive. The food was hot and good. Sucks that I live in McAllen if not I would go every chance I get but will go again soon.

Excellent service from our waiter. Nice ambiance. The basic breakfast tacos in regular size flour tortillas are $4 a piece. When served, the filling portion was scarce and bearly warm. I didnt say anything because I was amongst a group of 6 and felt embarrassed. I feel that someone is not monitoring the quality of the food before it goes out to the customer.

This is a good place to eat! There is live music on the weekends. Which adds to the fun atmosphere. I felt as if I was in Mexico. The decor is beautiful. The food is delicious. I highly recommend coming here. They do not serve margaritas, despite the name. Beer only.

Heard so many good things of this place, surprisingly they have barbacoa everyday unlike most places. You can see the cooks making tortillas and food which I appreciate. Waiter was attentive. Parking is kinda odd cause it used to be a gas station. Soo disappointed with our 2 enchilada plates and had 2 drinks. Spoke with Junior and he tried to make it right by lunch free of charge the next day. After actually eating the food and called back to say the rice had no flavor, the beans were like playdoh and the enchiladas were so greasy we couldn t even eat our food, this man started cussing and talking about how we were taking advantage and was talking about how people always want to talk about suing when that was never even mentioned! He would not give a name to who we could talk to and hung up!! Wow! Very unprofessional and would tell anyone and everyone about our experience! Never again! We love going here the food is so authentic Mexican. But I must say this time we went the waitress ordered my 3 kids from the adult menu even the drinks. Huge cups. I mentioned to her several times I was ordering from the kids menu and also kids drinks she said they all charge the same price so we ended up with a very high bill to pay plus the tip. I took my Dad out for breakfast at Las Margaritas Restaurant. It is located on Cage Blvd. half a block north of Old 83 In Pharr. Walking in the place is decorated in a festive manner with lots of colorful party banners. We found a table and were promptly greeted by our server. We ordered coffee and water, then began scanning the menu. Once our coffee arrived along with chips and salsa, we placed our order. I decided on eggs with chicharron sauce, it comes with refried beans and tortillas. I chose flour and added a pancake on the side. Dad chose the Denver Omelet with hash browns and biscuits. He added a side of gravy. I was wondering if the Chicharron sauce would be the same sauce as the salsa that came with the chips. Unfortunately it was and the Chicharrones were not cooked in the sauce they were simply placed atop the eggs and salsa. Cooking them in the sauce makes them tender, plus these were crackling rinds, super crunchy and certainly not the Tex-Mex way. I ordered scrambled eggs, they were more like fried eggs that were chopped up. There was way too much egg white hidden under the salsa. I almost believe it was eggs that were already cooked by mistake and needed to be used. Plus, my beans were bland, needing salt desperately, and I was supposed to get potatoes, there were like three or four cubes lost in the salsa. Dad said his omelet was OK and the hash browns didnt have that golden brown color that covered the entire portion.. My pancake never arrived nor did the gravy Dad ordered, and our server was nowhere to be seen. We finally flagged down a server and asked about our sides. He brought me my pancake but no syrup or butter. Our server came by with Dads gravy, she said the cooks just made it thats why it took so long. I asked for syrup which I used on my cold pancake, thats why I didnt ask for butter. On the upside we were able to get refills of coffee. Anyways, I dont think Ill be going back anytime soon or maybe never again.

We never go wrong here for Mexican food. All the staff is very friendly and attentive as well. My favorite waitress is Maria! My favorite plate is the barbacoa or chilaquiles. Great coffee in huge cups, too. Cons are that prices went up (but haven t all restaurants?), and they up charge if you pay with a card.

I ordered steak and eggs. What it ended up being was two eggs and a portion of fajitas. It was good breakfast and the fajitas were tender and good tasting.
