It has been seven months since my father s passing and the headstone we purchased has not been installed. Noe, the sales person said it would be 3-6 months because the company is behind. Now we are going into the 8th month and sadly my father s grave still has no headstone.

My mother bought her plot years ago with Palm Valley Memorial. We made the decision to have all her other services also with them, Victoria was so helpful through the process even coordinating the transfer for my mom to the Valley for her final resting place. The rosary & mass service in their chapel was very professional and we were pleased with how everything turned out. Several older family members mentioned having appreciated the convenience of the church service & burial at the same location.

I don t even know were to start. I m just very freaking mad at palm valley memorial gardens in pharr. we came to put flowers on my moms grave yesterday and a small stuffed bunny. we come back today to put more things just to see that her flowers and bunny was in the trashcan.I just feel very disgusted because we had to get our things we put on moms grave from the trashcan and put them back. And there is no water to water the grass. Im just very disappointed and disgusted it s not going to stay like that.

The staff at Del Angel Palm valley memorial gardens were amazing. Victoria the funeral director was so sweet and kind and sympathetic to us. They made sure everything was ready for the viewing and rosary and the burial. They guided us through the process and made sure we were not overwhelmed with details since we were already going through a rough time. Victoria even called me days later to check up on us and ask if we needed anything. Thank you Del Angel Palm Valley for all you did for our family.

We were so impressed that we bought our pre-need services so our kids don t have to plan out a funeral. We took care of that with purchasing plots & a pre-need funeral plan. I have both my grandparents buried in this cemetery and during the service for my grandpa we had a service counselor named Alma Aguirre she was very nice and so helpful and attended to all our needs during such a difficult time for our family and made everything so easy as she was also so patient with us. I definitely recommend this place as well as the cemetery is always so beautiful

BABY LAND....is the worst section in the cemetary. I would think that baby land would be just as beautiful covered with carpet green grass like the rest of the cemetary. Being baby land it should probably even be more beautiful than the rest of the cemetary, because all babies are true angels, none of them committed a single sin in their short time here on earth. A few months ago we buried our 3 mos. old grand-baby, we choose this cemetary, since we already have family members buried here, and the grass is always green & beautiful & looks fresh. We had never suffered the loss of a baby till now. I am disgusted with how unfit it is maintained there is no carpet grass !! and there are brown spot where there is no grass only dirt.. that says they dont even water that area. Baby Land looks like a city cemetary where no maintance is provided the only difference is that here at palm valley memorial gardens it is expensive to bury someone vs. the city cemetary. Palm Valley Memorial Gardens need to fix this issue in memory of all the little angels buried in baby land. Our babies need a beautiful resting place like the rest of the cemetary.

I returned home to the Valley after a couple of years since my last visit and I was super disgusted at how poorly treated my moms grave was. For context, my mom died in 2018, the last time I was there was 2019 and those who have visited hadnt seen an issue in that same year, but no one has been back since late 2019. I also want to state that my experience this weekend does not appear to be an overall problem because the Memorial Gardens was fairly clean for others at rest. On Saturday, I went to visit my moms grave and she is located in one of the newer areas. We had a small plaque as her grave marker along. If it wasnt for the tree and a couple other little markers around, I wouldnt have found her grave because the plaque was MIA. My heart sunk so quickly because I literally thought someone stole her grave marker and I wouldnt have ever known when it happened too. Brushing my foot on the ground and looking around, I found her plaque BURIED under soil and thick grassy vines. I had to dig it out just to reveal where it was and it was clearly overgrown and sunk slanted into the dirt. It was so bad that I needed to dig with both hands just to clear enough of the grass and dirt to pull it out. There was a sizable hole after that. In addition to her plaque being disregarded so badly, there was so much broken ornament trash at and around her grave and the urn graves near her. It was very obvious they were out there for some time because they were sun damaged and the plastic/glass was shattered. From what I could observe, the other graves around my mothers did not appear to be in bad shape. They were taken care of and there wasnt any obvious trash. There was also recently buried loved one in the same area (not fresh dirt, it had grass starting to grow over the mound naturally), so someone has been back there, but theyve been neglectful in the area where my mother is. Again, I dont feel this memorial grounds is terrible, but I felt super disgusted and upset that my moms grave was disrespected like this. If you are planning on burying your loved one here, just be mindful of where it is at as the newer areas dont seem to be as well kept as the spaces closer to the facilities.

My mother recently passed away. Decades ago (1979), she did pre-burial arrangements for our Dad and herself, so as not to leave a burden on the family. She bought and paid for 2 plots at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens from a rep from the Company who was going door to door back in the day. My Dad passed away in 1988 and was buried in the first tract of land. His name, date of birth, and date of death are engraved on the grave marker, which was made for the 2 of them. My Moms name and date of birth are also pre-engraved. The only info that needs to be filled in is her date of death. The Company refuses to engrave it, telling us that we need to pay $500, plus pay for the standard vase that holds the flowers. I dont see this as right nor reasonable. I feel that since the thrre was no commission nor money made of this, cuz they had to honor the contract from 40 years ago, now the Company is asking us to pay for this to get done. I will not recommend this Company for their deceptive practices, since the person we dealt with, Bancy Castor did not explain any of this to us when we went to make the internment arrangements. We reasonably assumed that the date of my Moms passing would be automatically filled in, but its not. Please make sure that when you go to make arrangements there or any other funeral home or cemetery, to ask all pertinent questions and not leave anything to chance assume it will get done cuz believe me, it wont. Ask about the second rights as well. I will never use this Company for my pre-need arrangements.

Giving the extreme weather conditions on the day of my Fathers burial (hurricane winds and rain) the staff went out of their way to still make this difficult time a memorable one. The safety concerns were priority as well as respecting my Father, our Family and friends. We cannot do anything about the things we cannot control (mother nature for example) but how WE CHOOSE to respond to these events we do have control of. And this Staff went above and beyond and my Family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My mother passed away on Thursday and we made arrangements for the burial to be on Monday at 11. They told us we had until Monday morning at 8 to pay. My father paid on Sunday afternoon. They call us Monday 2 hours before the mass that starts at 10 that they wont be ready until 3pm. Seriously? 11am was confirmed 3 times.

Bring money...They want $2900 for a simple cremation. That is twice from one funeral home in Pharr and three times a cremetery wants in La Feria. Would not provide me a quotation over the phone. Made an appointment and when I arrived on time, the representative was not there and arrived 15 minutes late.
