Bread Rolls smelled and tasted of freezer. Spaghetti was somehow burned to a crisp on the edges, crunchy & dry. Chicken parm was decent though the parm had burned bubbles all over it. They need to have their own episode of kitchen nightmares, & take pasta out of their name while they are at it

I went a few weeks back and entering the place, I couldn t figure out what the theme was. It had bud light, other alcoholic beverage signage up, TV, and interesting art that was cool too. The amount of kids that came in and families was great, but didn t give a super family oriented feeling to the place. The service was absolutely stellar. Waitress was amazing and great smile and warm personality. Food was interesting. The New York style pizza had a very chew crust and heavy on the grease. The pasta did taste good with the chicken. The Alfredo sauce did not taste anything special and tasted too much of liquid and not enough thickness in it. The garlic bread with cheese was the best part, I enjoyed the just warm enough to have it melt and was delicious. Overall really enjoyed the service the most but everything else just seemed less than expected. Parking: Super easy parking. Had no issues finding any parking.

Oh, my, God... What a hidden jem. If you are wanting Italian food, or something just delicious, GO! Dont expect Olive garden or other chain Italian, this place is more like a whole in the wall style. An that is awesome cause they dont add fluff to distract from bismol food. Baris is hands down one of the best dishes I have had in years. We tried all the sauces and man, wow, just fantastic. If you also love spinach artichoke dip, well, this place will ruin all others. No joke. Its not even printed on the menu. You just ask for it. All I can say is. Just freaking go! We will be back to test out the pizza, but from how the red sauce tastes and from the ingredients they used on our dishes, I am willing to bet it is fantastic. Oh yeah, watch out for the rolls. Imagine a garlic knot on steroids! Massive! And hand made in house. I shouldnt have eaten two with the spinach artichoke dip, I couldnt stop cause when the dishes came out, I was scared of what I was about to do. Lol. Also, be patient, the dishes do take a moment to make, but I promise the wait is worth it. Anyway, I am going to take a nap now, cause of all the food I couldnt stop eating. I am not even ashamed.

I love Baris Pasta & Pizza. My husband and I have been dinning at this restaurant since we moved to Pflugerville (8 years), and I can sincerily say, they have the best pasta dishes in Austin at a very decent price. My husband brought me here on the recommendation of an acquaintance. The place from the outside doesnt promise much but the food is very good. I have eaten in Italy and the flavor is very similar but with ingredients from the USA, respecting the original recipe. I recommend this place. The lady who served us was very friendly.

We liked their food but likely won t go again. The older gentleman and woman, who I assume are the owners, seem to have no sense of customer service and are very disorganized. Our order was called in and paid for over the phone. It was supposed to be ready at 5:30 and I was there at 5:30 to pick it up. By 6:30 and after being told several times that it was almost ready, we were then told they didn t ever get the order. We showed proof of the charge in our phone, yet still they claimed they didn t get the order. After much back and forth and them taking no responsibility for their error or apologizing, they finally admitted they did receive the $85 order. They then went ahead and made up our order as we continued to wait. And, clearly they did have it, as we didn t need to tell them what we d ordered. What upset me most was the lack of concern and their refusal to admit they made a mistake. Heck, they didn t even offer me a glass of water while I waited over an hour. It seems that the owners are no longer capable of running this restaurant and providing quality service. ZERO STARS and a lost customer!

I visited this place on a Sunday for a friends birthday( one of her favorite spots). We ordered calamari, pizza, a Philly cheese steak, chicken Florentine and another pasta dish. The waitress was not really attentive she also messed up my friends kids order twice. My pasta was bland and lacked flavor. Well decided to go back the following Monday because my children lied the pizza. We walked in and was told by the save waitress to sit wherever. We sat down and waited a while. No one acknowledged us or said anything. She, the waitress was behind the cash register doing whatever. There was an older gentleman working and it seemed as though he said something to her about us sitting there and she just looked up and and kept on doing what she was doing. After a while he walks over and brings menus, asked if we needed another one. I said no thank you but were ready to order. He walks to the kitchen to work. The waitress walks over to another table to take them something. Meanwhile theres a lady who just walked in at the cash register. She walks back to her and decided to talk to her and take her order. I will NEVER come to this place EVER again. That was ridiculous and pretty much made us feel as if my money was not good enough here. Terrible service place. We left! If I could give negative stars I would.

The food was delivered scattered allover my brown nasty bag and the bread wasnt wrapped up and was saturated with sauce and there was a really rood employee that acted as if she was speaking to people on the street. Do not go there even the bathrooms are disgusting and the restaurant smells like old Dirty mop water. In addition to getting my food replaced which I spoke to Tammy the manager some drunk sounding employee told me that someone had already come to pick up my food. Not true and hes very rude and hangs up on customers when theyre trying to have dialog.

We ordered on their website and it said it would be 19 mins. We should up on time and waited over 40 mins to get our food. Then we check the food and they forgot one of the entrees They gave a 100 excuses that it was a new apps fault the food was ordered on. The manager said that we would have to call the app. They just kept passing the buck. Completely unacceptable that the manager could not get this done in a timely manner. We have always had a good experience and this why we went back. We will NOT BE RETURNING!!!

I called to place an order and the man on the phone was less than enthusiastic. I ordered a shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Online it said it was $16.95. When I got there, they tell me the price rose close to $20. When I got home, I saw I got chicken instead and I actually had to search for the chicken. So the price goes up and they couldn t get the order correct. And it wasn t at all tasty. Threw out most of it!! Very expensive with no satisfaction!!

Mr. Crankypants chewed out his staffers incessantly after a mistake was made on my order. He told me what I ordered wasnt on the menu, when it was clearly on a menu taped right to the counter in front of him. He didnt apologize for the error, even though I was fine waiting for them to remake. He offered me nothing. When one employee tried to apologize, he cut her off and told her to Take the money. Then he aggressively told me to Go sit down. I diet 6 days/week and frequently come here for my one treat dinner of the week. I wont be going back! The food is great, but who cares! Were no longer supporting anyone who is so mean to hardworking staffers and more focused on the cash till than being nice to customers.

Really torn about this review, wavered between 3 and 4 stars. Ive eaten lunch before and it was sooo good, wouldve given it 5 stars on that visit. Raved about it to my husband so we returned for dinner tonight. The calamari wasnt bad but the calamari at Olive Garden is better. The rolls were overcooked. My husbands chicken cacciatore was not great, the chicken was bland and it was served with way too much sauce and not enough noodles but the bell peppers and mushrooms were good 2/5 stars. My chicken parm was excellent! The cheese and sauce were perfect and the spaghetti was so good. 5/5 stars

Yikes. Our server was super friendly, but we felt like they were trying to rush us out . We also weren t sure if we were supposed to order at the counter when we walked in or get seated because we weren t really greeted. The wine sauce was super liquidy and did not stick to the noodles at all . It looked like a bowl of soup with a ton of spaghetti noodles in it, but it was decently tasty.

The food here is just bad. I just spent $35 on dinner, takeout. This is hands down the worst food Ive ever eaten the chicken Carchovie is literally a boiled piece of chicken, white sauce and spaghetti noodles with a few pieces of artichoke thrown on top. The fried Zucchini was dripping in oil, the garlic rolls were tasteless, no garlic taste at all and the Red Velvet Cake was like eating cardboard. Ive eaten here a few years ago, and it wasnt that good, and decided to treat myself and give it a try again. I would have been better off eating tacos from Jack in the box! I just dont understand how they have stayed open. Its disgusting. I will never go back. I called and spoke to the manager, and he said in 27 years they have never had a complaint LOL, I find that very hard to believe, just read the reviews.

Stopped in for lunch the other day, craving some pasta. Ordered the Chicken Piccata - came quickly. Ive never had it served like a soup before - so much sauce it has a bowl! Chicken cutlet was poached in the sauce, very nicely done. Spaghetti has the texture of steam table, but eh - rare to get pasta made to order anywhere these days. The sauce though - magnificent. Tangy lemon, flavourful wine and chicken stock, and the zesty capers were so good! I might have eaten it like a soup if I didnt have a waistline to watch. Giant bread rolls are pretty darn good too. I stopped here with my boyfriend and family, and was quite honestly disgusted. The manager? Was in fishing shorts and a shirt, wandering around the empty restaurant barking orders. The server looked miserable, barely spoke, and was extremely combative over an order that was visibly incorrect. The food was tough from constant reheating (disgusting by the way), flavorless and expensive. My brother quite literally had old bulk pasta and a miserable dollop of canned sauce. I see why this restaurant is so desperate with its pricing. Its old, cheap, and being run into the ground by a fool. Hopefully, this cheap ripoff of Italy will be put out of its stale misery.

Darn. I feel bad not giving a good review but I guess I feel like people should know. The pizza was... gross. Greasy and cheap-tasting and looking, the crust was sub-frozen pizza quality and the sauce was watery and uninspired. Frankly, this is a bad pizza circa 1983, let alone 2023. The chicken fettuccine alfredo had very little chicken but plenty of tasteless fettuccini and thin, watery alfredo. The service was great and the atmosphere is fine. I just feel bad... Im sure its hard to own and run a restaurant. But this experience felt like the kitchen was really, really phoning it in. I get it that costs need to be low and the restaurant is next to a high school so maybe the audience generally has less discerning tastes, and Im certainly not picky, but the food was just... bad. Ive ordered from them consistently over the last few years and Im sad to say this place has really gone downhill. Their food is lacking freshness, flavor and quality. I ordered the chicken parm and lasagna, which was tough like overcooked beef and full of tomato paste, not sauce, dry old paste. Im sad to say, go somewhere else for your Italian food.

Super sweet and quaint local Italian restaurant. My husband and I really enjoyed a family style meal of habanero wings, Caesar salad, pizza, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Plenty of delicious food for us and to take home to enjoy another meal.

Very nice family owned and operated for many years. I get a wonderful dish of chicken Parmesan over fettuccine Alfredo. The ability to get Alfredo sauce and marinara is soo good! Its not a fish on the menu..but it should be! Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant. Kids are always welcome. Its next to a High School so kids are there allot.

I love Baris, but a couple of months ago I ate there with 2 companions paid the bill and left. Later checking my receipt I saw that I had been charged for 2 entrees my party did not eat. I took my receipt spoke to the manager, who profusely apologized and agreed to credit my card for said amount. Fast forward 10 days later two additional phone calls and the charges remained. Finally just turned it over to my credit card company to handle. For such a piddling amount Baris has lost a long time customer.. Such a shame!

I ordered the chicken fettuccini and requested lots of mushrooms and to add spinach. This dish has potential to be really good; however, its really lacking seasoning (salt/pepper, for sure) and could benefit from adding more cheese, such as the tanginess of parmesean. The sauce was very creamy, just quite bland.

Love it every time we go. This time it had been a little while since wed been and things had changed. We preferred the old more feel of hospitality with rolls and butter being brought to your table immediately when you are seated. Now it seems like school lunch lady gives you your plate. Maybe someday we can return to when you feel comfortable and that they really want you in their great restaurant.

We really like Baris Pasta & Pizza - its our hometown Italian spot and really close to home. It looks like they have had a lot of turnover in staffing and that everyone was fairly new this week. I am also not a big fan of restaurants letting staff wear whatever they throw on before work, but that didnt change the flavor of our delicious pizza which is always Delish!

Delicious Pizza! We came to Austin for Vacation. We found this little pizza place. We order the Dip Dish and it was amazing! Haven t had a good pizza in a while . The sweat tea was so good as well ! I m glad we choose to come and try their food! Our waiter Jovany was very nice !

Someone please tell me how 1 piece off eggplant parm is 11.95, with no noodles or anything..? Its not only overpriced, its soggy and gross. Sauce tastes like its from a can. Service was blah, the kitchen guys had to tell them that my Togo order was ready. It had just been sitting there, even though I approached 3 different times to see if it was ready. Came here for Valentine s Day dinner. Although they were busy, our waitress didn t skip a beat. Food came out quickly and we had several garlic rolls and drink refills. We had the Chicken Murphy and Chicken Tortellini. Both dishes came with pink sauce. Highly recommend any of the pink sauce dishes. We can t find good pink sauce like that anywhere in Austin. Will definitely be back.

Not impressed at all. Will never order from here again. Ordered via door dash. Order was quick arriving to me. I only received a half portion of Chicken Alfredo and paid $17.00. The tray was no where near filled with pasta. Very greasy/oily and the bread was very dry and flavorless. Pasta lacked seasoning. Received only 4 pieces of Chicken in my bowl. Very discussed. I called in an order for their delicious pink sauce and was quoted a price of $8.95 (mind you, this was already above their website menu price of $4.95 but whatever its good and worth it). I arrive like 10 mins later and the young man states my total is $16.24 literally double what I was quoted... 10 mins ago. He was very apologetic and it was obviously not his fault/ not the person I spoke to on the phone. The owner walked up to the counter and was like the cost of supplies has increased.... The price is not the problem I understand the rising cost of supplies, but the lack of communication online, on the phone, and in person is unacceptable.

I recently visited Baris Pasta and Pizza for lunch and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food was absolutely delicious - I particularly enjoyed their pasta dishes. Had Chicken Fettucine Alfredo, it was a white soup thing (emphasis on soup, never seen a pasta drip like water before) with noodles and bland chicken. Stopped in due to all the glowing reviews and regretted it. (4.3 from 1000+ reviews?) If youre looking for food...its food. Seat yourself and stare down the servers for about 15-20 min before they realize youre there, even though they asked you directly to seat yourself. Owner leaves rude comments on negative reviews, kinda curious what theyll say to this one. youre better off dining somewhere else - GLADLY
