This was the 4th time I purchased meat, and it was bad within 24hrs and well before the sell by date. This has happened with chicken, pork, and beef all packaged in store. Yes, I could take it back for a refund, but Id rather it just not go bad in the fridge in less than a day.

This store is great but this review is about the fantastic beauty department. Alyssa is AMAZING! She was so helpful both times I stopped in. I had no idea what I need, first with hair then with make-up. I also love that she didnt make me feel dumb about not having a clue. Not only knowledgeable but just a really nice person. I ordered a cake for my childs birthday. at pickup they told me they didnt make the cake which was the day of the event. i was told they were trying to get ahold of me, however, i had no calls on my phone like the employee claimed. they did not offer a discount and the staff was even rude. when i picked a cake that was available, i asked them to write happy birthday and my childs name but the employee said it already had a happy birthday decor so they only wrote my childs name. I didnt expect such terrible service from my local HEB.

Easily the best overall shopping experience for me. Butcher and fish counters are super helpful, especially if theres not a crowd waiting. I dislike the digital coupon & app process, but think theres always a yellow paper coupon available at the store. Curbside is prompt, polite and mostly accurate. Would love to see deals on ribeye, chuck and strip sub- primal packs to compete with Costco.

This HEB continues to disappoint. Stocking seems to take place at inopportune times when the store is at its busiest. This causes additional crowding with shoppers trying to get to half empty shelves and employees needing to try to stock. Some items remain sporadic-especially sale and name brand items.

My experience at this store has always been great. I just wanted to say how helpful all the cashiers and workers are at this store especially Rusty, the few times he has helped us out, he was so patient with my toddler and even gave her stickers and buddy bucks. Unfortunately, the machine appeared to be broken today, but I hope they are able to get it fixed soon.

Ive watched this store go downhill in the last year or so, to the point that Im headed elsewhere for my groceries. While I dont mind bagging my own groceries, I get a little upset watching elderly people do so while your workers do nothing but stand in the way of shoppers. Im tired of steering my cart around workers that arent doing anything. I frequently have to move out of the way for HEB curbside shoppers or am blocked from what Im shopping for by them. Where is the customer service? Also, this may seem silly and petty but how about instead of wasting all that paper from printing off thousands of throw away coupons for random things you just give us the savings?

Had a very unsettling interaction with an angry and hostile employee named Rikardo. This young man should not be working a customer facing job. Because he wanted me to quickly finish my shopping as it was near closing time, he got in my face while I was trying to make a choice about a particular item and repeatedly told me to go ahead and make my choice. When I sort of ignored his rude behavior, he told me that the registers were going to automatically lock in 60 seconds. This was a blatant lie, which I soon discovered after rushing over to the checkout and discovering that they remained open well after the time he claimed they would automatically lock. So, I told him that, at which point he became aggressive with me. He sarcastically congratulated me (I guess for successfully purchasing my groceries?), then told me good night, also in a sarcastic - and hostile - tone. When i asked him why he was talking to me like that, he got in my face (literally came within several inches of me), raised his voice, and repeated his good night. A security guard had to intervene. I have never in my like life had a fight with a grocery store employee. This man does not belong in a position that puts him in front of customers because he is an angry and hostile toward strangers. I sincerely hope this man is reassigned to stocking shelves in the back.

4/23/2024 I found 5w30 full synthetic motor oil with my groceries. Prices are the very good. Saved gasoline by buying in 1 convenient location with an attendant present to help. Clean, orderly store. Helpful, friendly staff-> in self check- out was the Best! Pharmacy is very efficient. Excellent produce. 4/23/2024 11am. In Dec2023, my 1st time in an HEB on a Sunday. What a pity that I have to delete a very good opinion that I had left, why not allow one to comment again, since the receipts when one pays do not have a code to give an opinion in private, but today I went, Saturday, April 20, and the woman who He charged me, he was in a temper, he didnt say hello, he was throwing things away. I should be grateful that he has a job, and then he was also marking me with more product than he had in the fruit department and I told him and he got upset, I gave him a coupon for a fabric softener and I didnt realize that I didnt scan it, I say again, everyone in this world has problems in one way or another, we shouldnt take it out on people, I leave the photo of my ticket and I tell that cashier person that If you dont like your job, leave and look for another job, you are in customer service and you shouldnt have that character. Please have the night stockers not block items when trying to shop at night. Had gone into the store around 10pm, wanting to buy a couple of the protein cookies, but the night stalker had boxes blocking all the cookies, and could not find a worker for assistance. Like this store since its close to my house. Although I do need to mention the young baggers dont know how to bag food properly. They always throw my raw meat in my bags that I bring in with non meat things like fruit, veggies etc which is a contamination. Like they do not care or not properly trained or just dont have common sense that they should not be together in same bag. Today I told the bagger please dont do that and I had redo my bags and she wouldnt even look at me, help me or apologize and has happened before with other baggers. HEB please fix this. I like this store but this has happened so many times. Most the time Id rather bag my own groceries due to this. Id suggest bagging your own food. The checkers and other employees are great!

Second batch of groceries with bad frozen meal products. As in, left out to completely thaw, then thrown back in the freezer and sold. A few weeks ago, it was a 10 minute frozen pasta meal that was one solid ice block instead of separated pasta/sauce frozen cubes, like its supposed to be, because it had melted and then refrozen. Then this last trip it was an entire bag of chicken nuggets that again, appeared to have completely thawed then been refrozen. Night-shift management needs to step up their game. Ill be shopping at a different H-E-B moving forward and Id suggest you do the same, especially if you buy frozen meal products. Eventually, someones going to get sick. Do better H-E-B.

We stopped for gas on our way back to San Antonio from North Texas . As we arrived at the pump, a female customer lost concise and fell right in front of the cashier booth. The HEB employee came right out and another customer who was in line behind her attended to her. After a couple of minutes they helped her to her feet. In a matter of seconds, she went back down . At this point I sent my wife a retired nurse to help. We made sure she didnt get back up. I told your employee to call the front end manager right away. He stated that he already had. We made sure she didnt need to be revived and not allowed to get back up. I asked if EMS had been called . Your employee stated it had. Within a matter of a minutes the Pflugerville EMS arrived. As they were loading her up to take that ambulance drive , we left as I had pumped my gas while my wife helped attend to your customer. I want HEB to know your employee did all the right things calmly and professionally. I pray the lady recovered Alan & Tami Hatcher Perdue. San Antonio, TX. I was proud if the HEB employees actions. Im a loyal customer of 72 years who got my HEB start in McAllen, TX store # 10

HEB pharmacy at this location is horrible. I waited in the drive-thru line for 30 minutes and when I got to the window the partner told me rudely that they were closed and I would have to go inside. Mind you I ve been waiting in line for 30-40 minutes with none behind me and I arrived well over the time they were closing. Not to mention every-time I pick up my prescriptions the wait time is horrible and extremely stressful. I do not recommend this pharmacy location.
