My cousin and I attended TaterQue for the first time this Sunday and it did not disappoint!!! We were advised to get there early due to parking. We got there around 12:00 pm and was able to get a good parking spot. Upon entering there was a dj playing nice R&B and football on the tv screens. We ordered the fried catfish, shrimp, seafood mac and the regular mac, greens, cornbread and biscuits plus the cheesecake. Everything was seasoned well and they give good portions for leftovers. The employees were super nice and answered all of our questions when ordering. Next we ordered drinks and after 4:00pm the party started. I love that they have security upon entering the building and that id s are checked and every person is searched. We definitely had s great time and will be back soon.

I loved the food. The waffle and the chicken is yummy. For an unapologetic urban experience come and check it out. The vibes were on point too. They had a real dj spinning records. True talent. I dropped in after a hard week of work and had a Fabulous Friday! The food was delicious! I ordered the Catfish & Shrimp Platter and Boudin Eggrolls. The person I was with had Lemon Pepper Wings & Macaroni Bites. The food was served hot & fresh without a long wait. I love TaterQue! The owners have built an amazing team that never disappoints. Their wings are by far the best. I hate fatty wings and it is hit or miss with other restaurants. Not so at TQ, every single time (15+ times at this point), the wings are dead-on perfect. Seriously the best. I love their lemon pepper wings, Alamo brisket tater, tater kegs and honey biscuits. TQ has spoiled me with crazy consistent, perfect wings, and I think you for that.

We placed an order for pickup on Saturday. The food was on time and still warm when we got home. The portions are very generous. We ordered the jr size and there was still leftovers for lunch the next day. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chicken tenders were fried perfectly. Fab5 Mac n cheese was great. We preordered 100 wings earlier in the week to be picked up on Saturday for an event. When we arrived for the pickup on the agreed time the cashier asked can wait 15 more minutes sure that s not a big deal. 15 minutes pass and no chicken. C mon now, y all must don t have my chicken even half way ready . Our time wasn t valued, we had to pivot and figure out something at the last minute. Update (Response to owner): I arrived to pick up my order at 4:00 PM. I also called around 3:00 PM to see if my order was ready but no one answered the phone. Upon arrival, one of the guys in the back said to give him 15 minutes and my order would be ready. After having to wait an additional 15 minutes, I still did not receive my order. I was NEVER told that a small portion of my order was still being processed and I was NEVER offered to receive the 75 wings that were supposedly ready. My options were to wait a FEW minutes (How can I trust that when someone already told me 15 minutes and that wasnt true) or to receive a full refund. Had I been offered the 75 wings, I would have taken that option and a refund for the difference. 75 wings would have been better that showing up to an event empty handed.

So I ve visited a few times different days and hrs I must say this last visit will be the last time I purchase food, Not worth the hype I went for the Wednesday s dollar wings, and got the lemon pepper spicy ranch and I didn t have any flavor like I didn t taste any flavor at the end of eating all five chicken wings. Drinks are pretty good when there is a server available to take your drink order. totally a vibe though I ve never had any issues with any type of customer service. She was a gracious person she Also was very respectful addressed me as maam, although we may be the same age or she may just be a little younger than I great person great personality she also made sure I got any condiments I needed for my food and the food was hot and fresh . I really liked the friendly staff and there are a lot of options on the menu that looked interesting. We tried the Alamo potato and seafood potato along with an order of Mac n cheese, the potatoes can get really huge and had a generous amount of toppings but both left us underwhelmed especially for the price. The Mac n cheese was similarly disappointing, lacked flavor and was sort of dry and bland. Spending $75 for an underwhelming meal of 2 loaded potatoes and a small order of Mac n cheese (w/ 2 drinks + tip) left me at 3 stars for our experience this trip but we would still like to come back and try some of the other options on the menu

Sooo good. Never been before, and we got there before karaoke night. Food was sooo good, had the spud (if you want to call it a spud because it was for like 5 people) and tater tots. The tater tots were like 6 feet tall and wide (ok, I m exaggerating) but Tots were very big and very tasty. TaterQue has potential, but my recent visit left me with mixed feelings. I tried the Springdale, a Premium Golden Buttered Spud loaded with a savory seafood blend of shrimp, crab, and crawfish topped with creamy alfredo sauce. While the alfredo was a nice touch, the dish wasnt as delicious as I hoped. The oversized chunks of potatoes on the bottom didnt live up to the description and overwhelmed the seafood. The blend wasnt smooth. I wouldnt order this specific one again but am willing to try others on the menu. I also had the Boudin Egg Rolls, which were filled with sausage, rice, creole seasoning, and cheese. Unfortunately, these were just okay. They were over deep-fried, and there wasnt enough sausage or rice in the filling. On a positive note, the interior was clean, and the music was jamming. The energy of the staff was okay, though I would have appreciated a simple thanks for coming or something like that. I will definitely try the happy hour next time. Overall, TaterQue shows promise, and Im open to giving it another try. Hopefully, next time, the balance of ingredients will be better.

First, it is hard to find parking so be prepared. I Waited 1hr for my food just for the order to be completely wrong and almost cold. I asked to speak to a manager about my concern and he/she was unable to come speak to me about my issue I had with service and food. Nobody speaks to you when you walk in. You just have to stand around and wait for a table (if there is a table available). The honey hot wings tasted like buffalo wings (not hence of sweetness) and the brisket on the Mac n cheese was dry. I honestly don t understand why this place is over hyped. I definitely wouldn t recommend anyone trying this. The prices were decent and this is a good place to hangout if you like to go out.

As someone whose been a head chef of a couple places, their brisket sandwich and spicy barbecue sauce is one of the best I ve ever had. The salt they use on the brisket really helps the sweetness in the bun excel. The spicy barbecue sauce has a small kick which allows better flavor of the sauce. As someone that s been cooking all my life, food doesn t taste that good to me, it s boring. This place has been the only place that has made me excited for a meal in a long long time. Yall. I cant even make you understand. The flavors. The freshness. Such an unassuming spot in an equally unassuming location. I cant wait to go back. I ordered the Lakeside fries. I ordered wings. The wings had a good flavor, but they were overcooked so they were dry. I also had a piece of the honey butter cornbread. It was too sweet and tasted like cake with a really sweet glazed icing. I also think that it is important to mention that if a customer pays in cash, don t assume that they are giving you the change coins . If the customer doesn t say that they re giving you the change ask them if they would like their change and give them the opportunity to choose whether or not you as the employee can have it. Don t just take it.

I am in town on travel and ordered online. I was super excited to try this place because I love potatoes. I picked up and took it back to my hotel to find out that I only received my potato with butter and vegetables. I ordered a jr. spud with a rib, a chicken tender, cheese, sour cream and bacon bits. I only got the potato and vegetables. I also ordered a salad which I did get. The food tastes fine but I m disappointed that I didn t get what I ordered AND I paid for every topping separately which made this a $29 meal with half my toppings missing.

Lived in Austin for a year now and this is the first time we ve made it to TaterQue. It s infuriating it took us this long to get there. Probably the best meal we ve had since being here and as great as the food was, the service was that much better. Diamond and Dupree were incredibly nice and informative. I recommend the boudin eggrolls, the fried fish and tenderloins. But I stand by there isn t a bad thing on the menu. Next time you aren t sure where to go, do yourself a favor and RUN to TaterQue.

I spent a week in Austin and ate at the best restaurants in the city. This place hands down had the best food our entire visit. The food was AMAZING the service was impeccable. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!! This business attempts to advertise itself by posting a sign that says service animals only. But I a service connected veteran with his service animal were denied access. The security guard and owner denied me, Veteran entry due to my service animal. He made light of the ADA Laws and Looked down on me because of my veteran disability. He just mocked the ADA literature that was cited from their site documentation. I was very uncomfortable about the whole exchange. The manager came out and just waived me off. I dont know where to report this, but I hope they get audited. Shame on you. I will never go back here. They denied a Veteran and his service animal access. Do not support this business. Unprofessional and disrespectful. The atmosphere was atrocious and The food doesn t even look that good in person. Patrons beware! Is this a club or a restaurant? We almost didnt even go in because there was 1000 people outside but a friend said the food was good. Why did we get patted down and searched before we could buy some lunch? Music is too loud and nowhere to sit. Guess we wont be back. Felt extremely uncomfortable. Ive only had this delivered so I cant comment on the staff or the inside establishment. What I will say is that this place is good.....DANGEROUSLY good. I got the potatoes with brisket, lemon pepper wings and Mac and cheese. Those lemon pepper wings are the best Ive ever had and that potatoe dish is straight fire. Mac and cheese is good, but pretty on par with most restaurants. As good as this place is, Ive only ordered once. This place is just too good, I will be ordering from here for special occasions or if I want to treat myself for doing something good or accomplishing something. If I made this a regular thing, Id end up on that show My 600lb Life. This to me is like fair food, good on special occasions but you cant make a habit out of it (well, you can, but i hope you have a great metabolism). Ill be ordering within the next week because I earned it but then Ill have to wait a while until I deserve it lol. I hear this is a black owned business which makes me love it more, theyre doing fantastic work and I hope this place is successful and stays open. If not....they better get a food truck or figure something out because food this good needs to be shared with the world....in moderation . So happy this establishment is in Pflugerville, go check them out. Your scale may regret it, but your stomach will not! Sooooo good!!!! Super excited to try so much of the food on Taterque s menu. Myself and two other friends put in our orders and were told it would talk 30-45mins for our food to arrive. We didn t mind waiting since we had heard good things. I personally ordered the seafood Mac n Cheese, lakesides loaded fries, and the boudin egg rolls. My friends both received their food in the time frame (30mins for one friend and 45mins for the other) and let me have some of theirs while I waited for mine. Their food was so good (Berkmans loaded fries, loaded lamars fries, and the two-3 spud) the bbq sauce is fabulous and the meat was cooked to perfection. However, after waiting over an hour I let the staff know that I was still waiting on my food. No one really had a response for me as to what the holdup was. One of the servers tried to show me all the orders they had waiting but frankly I didn t care due to waiting over an hour. Ashanti eventually let me know that they were backed up from the Sunday brunch so they were trying to catch up on orders. She let me know I could wait some more (she wasn t sure how much longer I d be waiting) or she could give me a refund. Sadly, I decided to just get a refund because my friends had already finished their food and I wasn t too happy about having to wait very much longer. Ashanti brought me my refund but only refunded me for my meal. My tip that I gave was not refunded which I m not entirely sure why. I had my stomach and heart set on that food and was so excited to try everything. I wish my experience would ve been better. I will also say the atmosphere and vibe of Taterque is great and the DJ was awesome, just wish I would ve been able to get my food.

Its a bar more than a restaurant: Very loud inside and outside. Any bbq is incidental (did not try the food, since we were looking for a BBQ place - most of the options were potato based, which is fine, but we didnt see any bbq options). They also charge for regular water.

Ive been trying to get here for awhile I think maybe Im a little to old for this crowd after 7p i really came to try the food...I came with my daughter who talked me into staying for the event she enjoyed herself and seeing her happy and enjoying life made me happy so stayed thinking to myself she got me wrapped around her finger still at age 41...lol! The hot wings were decent. Ive had better, the tater tots was yummy, and the drinks were pretty good. The only problem I had I ask for just plan water no bottle water just water, which I thought all establishments automatically give there, paying customers especially if your consuming alcohol water was free this lady at the bar was going to charge $2 for a glass of water to wash the food and alcohol down...I said no I just need a glass of water she said $2 I said never mind and walked away thinking never again smh! I just paid $24 for drinks and about $30 for food...REALLY!

Heard about this little gem from our daughter while visiting. The Alamo was a killer! Bring your appetite! This place is a HOME RUN!!! I tried Tater Que for the first time today and I would highly recommend it. Great food, we shared the bbq brisket sandwich, boudin eggrolls, and tater kegs. They provided excellent customer service (very friendly), I will definitely be back. Parking: Parking was convenient. Kid-friendliness: We had an infant with us and sat on their patio but the waitress was very nice and checked on us regularly. Parking was convenient as well.
