Tommy Carter handled my divorce and the adjustment of the possession custody. All I can say is that I am thankful for him, his knowledge, and his diligent efforts on my behalf. He was patient with me and the challenges of my circumstances throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable and helpful. When circumstances prevented progress in one direction, he found an alternative that worked just as well. It is because of his efforts that everything ended so favorably for me and my loved ones. Michael Berryman helped me get started with the process of divorce. He conducted a thorough intake of my circumstances. Were it not for his efforts, Tommys job would have been much more challenging (I know that Tommy would have been up for the additional challenge). More than that, he helped to give me peace of mind as I was getting started with the process of my divorce. Mind you this was all during the height of COVID, which made his job that much more challenging.

This review is based solely on the attorney s assistant, Jennifer and not the attorney himself. I don t have enough interaction with him to know yet. Jennifer has a very smart mouth and rude tone. She has called several times asking the exact same questions over and over. I hope this isn t symbolism for how the rest of the case will go.

I came to david s kohm and associates in dire straights financially. I was about to lose my vehicle. I spoke to Michael Berryman with the firm and I found him extremely knowledgeable, probably due to his 20 plus years working in bankruptcy. I would give him and the firm 10 stars if I could. I hired David S. and Associates to help me through a very bed divorce. I was lucky and was able to have Miss Fauniel (Faun) Rowland as my attorney. She worked hard for me and kept me from making bad choices. She led my to a very successful outcome. Unprofessional experience!! I shouldn t have to call for updates or current status for the entire duration of my case. When I call they make you feel like you are getting on their nerves. I wish I had went with someone more caring and professional. The receptionist acts as if she only works there part time and sends the wrong message to the wrong person. When you call there s never any progress... I can t wait until this is over.

My parents used this law firm after an accident forced the closing of their business and when my husband and I needed help with a bankruptcy we also chose Kohm & Associates. Michael in the Cedar Hill office was amazing since the initial consultation email. He is so patient with my million questions and long emails. The process is lengthy, but has been worth it. We got our discharge last week and our credit is already 100 points higher! This is definitely a 5 star rating, especially for Michael Berryman. He had to work double-duty on our file and he deserves all the praise.

Everyone was really caring and helpful. I was sent to a doctor right away and it helped tremendously. I was in a lot of pain and the doctor was able to have me comfortable pretty soon. Every phone call was pleasant, very nice staff. I was always kept informed of the status of my case in detail. After a very long four and a half years, we have received our discharge from our Chapter 13. It has been very challenging at times, but were thrilled to have made it through. I actually left the office after giving my credit card info with no receipt or any paperwork saying that I had hired anybody. I was contacted quickly with an affidavit to get signed which I returned the next day. I was informed when the court day was, showed up and meet Tommy Carter, the lawyer handling the case that day. He was professional, didnt BS me, told me what to expect, and then did what he said would do. In and out of the court in less than 30 minutes, yes I was lucky to be 3rd in line. All in all I wished I would have used this law firm a long time ago.
