SENIOR SOLO DINER NOT WORTH SERVERS TIME? WAITED 30+ MINUTES BEFORE WENT TO THE COUNTER TO PAY FOR THE COKE. MANAGER DIDNT ACCEPT PAYMENT. THIRD VISIT IN AS MANY WEEKS. PAY $30+ & TIP OVER 20%. WANTED A GOOD MEAL ENDED UP GETTING DRIVE THRU. YOU CAN DO BETTER, KELLEYS. --DISAPPOINTED EDUCATOR.

We were there before a few people came in after us and were getting their food before us and we ordered eggs, bacon, and hash browns, our waitress came and told us our order was messed up. And we had to hunt for our waitress, she didnt check on us to see if we needed anything else. I was very disappointed in our food and service.

It had been years since I stepped into a Kellys. Usually, it was while working overnight and usually got a breakfast meal. This time, I dragged the wife. She ordered off the specials menu and got the meatloaf. I ordered a cheese burger and fries. I should have known I was in trouble when the waitress placed my plate in front of me and said, ...let me know about those fries. Ill bring you fresh... I thought to myself why wouldnt you bring me fresh if you thought I should have fresh! And the cheese was shredded and not a slice of cheese. And the meatloaf was so bad, the wife took two bites and asked for a to go box. We threw the meatloaf away when we got home. Not going back at all.

I really liked this place and do plan on returning when Im back in TX. The food was great. Our waitress, however only came to the table to take our order and bring the food. Anything else I needed I had to stop other waitresses and ask if they could get what was needed. Even had to have them track her down for the check and to go boxes more than twice.

I got there and sat unattended for what was to long of a time. I am a patient person. Others that came in after me were attended to before me. I was at table 14. I heard another server say, what is she doing? Do I need to attend to her tables? At that point I decided to leave. On my way out I guess my server was at the register area and said to me she was taking care of her other tables and apologized. I have not experienced anything like this before at this location. I only had a short time for lunch and they blew that for me this time. I was not confident that I would receive prompt service so I had to leave. Either the assignments were off or this server needed more training. I was sad. I really wanted my carrot and raisin salad. August 6 at 1240 p.m.

They never have rolls just corn bread and I hate that they cant substitute side items even if its not on the day why cant it still be done. Feeks like they use to serve you. And they charge $2 to go charge? What the heck is that. I used my gas to drive here. Im paying for the food being made. Yes, I know its $2 but you watch all the people who walk in and pick up food. I had the fish and shrimp combo. It was good. No issues. My mom had the chicken fried chicken, which is what she has always gotten for many years, but we usually go the Pasadena location. This visit was at the Pearland location and he chicken fried chicken was extremely greasy. Literally little pockets of grease all over it. And the waitress was just awful. We sat at the back of the restaurant next to a window so we could have a view other than a wall. After maybe 10 minutes, the waitress comes over and says, Im gonna close your blinds so you wont be hot we responded saying, were not hot and we sat by the window so we can have a view the next thing she said was, well Im gonna close it anyway I am so serious. Not making this up. Not exaggerating. That is exactly how the conversation went. So after we told her that we would like the blinds to stay open, and since we had already been there for at least a good 10 minutes, we asked if she was going to bring us the rolls and cornbread that they always bring out. And once again I am not lying or exaggerating, this is what she said, well I usually wait for the customer to order and depending on what they order, Ill decide if Im gonna bring out the rolls and cornbread. Our power had been out for exactly 10 days straight and this was the first time we were able to shower and get dressed after the power had been restored and wanted to come out and sit down and eat some good food, but unfortunately had a terrible experience. Will not be coming back to this location again. Very very poor service.

Not the same anymore. Smaller portions they were always known for big portions. They measure their food now with little bowls. The inside isn t country anymore. The food is almost always very good. I had a bad experience with the pork chops. They were way overcooked and I was unable to eat them. Since they were delivered I had no option but to throw them away. Today I placed an order with doordash but something went wrong and it had to be delivered. Normally its not a problem but I had to call Kelleys. Thats when I ran into a problem. The lady that answered barely spoke in English and I had trouble having her understand me. It was obvious that she speaks Spanish. Im fluent in Spanish and English. Im not going to make it easy on someone that comes to the US and doesnt make the effort to learn English well enough to be understood by those that dont speak their language no matter what it is. If they are answering phones must be able to communicate. Get with the program if you want to take part in what the Country has to offer

Today is my birthday and decided to go out to eat. First time at this location and this will be my last. We sat there for over 5 min while the manager was laughing and was conversing. Finally got a server and everything went down hill from there. There was hair in almost all of our meals. My daughter got her burger remade because the hair was literally across her bun. At check out the manager told me since the food was remade, she wasn t gonna discount it. I explained it was my birthday and my daughter was unable to eat dinner with me since there was a hair she snatched the receipt out of my hand and said she will take off half of her burger ANY restaurant that I have been to and even managed, we take off the meal for the inconvenience. We will not be returning to this location. We will stick to the Alvin location!

Ordered chicken fried steak via DoorDash they followed instructions properly, but I wasnt pleased it tasted like LIVER. Tasted off. Not hot soggy breading and on top of a parchment paper atop mashed potatoes and gravy. It all got gory and stuck together and was kind of slapped together it was gross. The old piece of chocolate cake was separated front he crust it went directly into the garbage. Inedible and Id like my full refund for the meal. These places take advantage of delivery because they give you old food and low quality that wouldnt be served in person. Shame on you KELLEYS give me my money back now!!!

What part of NO cheese do you not understand? I have not eaten in 25 hours due to illness. When I finally decided I wanted something it was Terris salad, NO CHEESE. It was clearly written on my paper I sent with my husband. This salad is so full of cheese, Id be throwing for days if I ate it and its NOT a cheap salad. If I threw this roll at a window, it would shatter it. Never again will I get a to-go order from here. Ill make the drive to Alvin or Sugar Land if I EVER have a craving for a salad again. Their motto is slowly but surely vanishing. The once great country cooking saying is definitely gone from this location at least. It all started as the waiter who was nice at first but when we requested a side to be exchanged when our food finally arrived she made a face. The food was really disappointing. The taste of the meal was bland. The portions were extremely reduced as opposed to what they use to be. They did not offer the bread rolls and muffins as they usually do & when we asked for them, the waiter advised they are only brought upon request. The service of the waiter was slow, therefore the food took a long time to come out. She only came to our table if I asked by raising my hand when she walked by to request that she refill our drinks. Our sides of Mac and cheese came cold and tasted like kraft from the box. Our mashed potatoes which are usually a really good & oversized portion where in the little cup in 1 scoop. Literally! The buttered corn came dry and didnt have any taste of butter at all. Lucky for us we had butter already on the table so I added 2 little tubs of it to make it taste like butter. My chicken fried steak was awful. First it was over fried and extra crunchy. It tasted like cardboard with no seasoning or flavor. The rice and gravy were too cold and watery. My husband and I were really looking forward to having a great country style meal after an extremely hard and busy work day but this time Kellys was a disappointment. If anyone remembers that you use to pay at the register & that there someone would ask you How was your experience today? or How was your meal ? Well they no longer ask nor possibly care! Like I described before our experience sucked! If Mr. Kelly himself (RIP) or anyone of his family could read this post..... your parents would be disappointed on how the familys reputation is suffering. This use to be a great place to eat where the food was flavorful & bountiful and best of all we had it near us and we could get the same great food experience each & every time. Now if my husband & I want to go out to eat... it will certainly not be Kellys. Just for us two our bill was $33. dollars plus the tip and best part we didnt eat it. We brought it home & gave my chicken fried steak to our dog because it was too tough to eat.

Typically I love Kelley s. Today was unbelievable bad service. 10 minutes before getting waited on, after watching the waitress sneeze first into her hand then into the menu and walk back and grab plates. She waited on us with only minor enthusiasm. 20 minutes later we watched 2 other tables receive their food who were seated well after us. Our order was simples eggs and an omelette. No communication from the waitress. After 35 minutes of waiting I heard her talking to the cook team about our order. Still no communication. We left. Things happen, but the waitstaff should communicate. . Very poor and very disappointed

2 Words . Gross Negligence. Wife found a roach in her chicken salad sandwich and thankfully she caught it before she ate it . Management apologized took care of our bill and offered us free pies . Now normally I would leave it at that , but unfortunately after further research i discovered multiple accounts of people finding roaches in their food here . It s absolutely unacceptable . Every single one of those cooks and managers should be ashamed of themselves !!! Someone is going to die from your ignorance !!! This may seem silly to some, but the amount of elderly people with possible medical conditions and weakened immune systems that could be affected by this is scary !!! Most disgusting experience ever, first red flag was while waiting for our food, a small roach was crawling across the table , my husband first instinct was to leave, but I insist on staying, once the food arrives we begin to eat, my husband discovered a roach in his pancakes , we immediately notified the staff and manager, all manager could do was apologize and pay for the ticket, this was horrible...we Eat Kellys alot but this was our first time at this location. The food was ~*okay*~. We came as a group of 4. 3 adults, 1 child and we split 2 meals. As others have said, the portion sizes are huge. We ordered: -Chicken fried steak: the steak was pounded out so large, you didn t ever really get a bite of the steak. The breading had almost no flavor and the gravy was thin and watery. I had to salt and pepper both of these - Eggs: one group had over easy, the other over medium. Both came out perfect to order. - Biscuits and Gravy: biscuit was incredible. I made a joke that it was a roll not a biscuit but it was very very good. The gravy was runny. - Hashbrowns: we ordered Crispy and it came out perfect - blue berry pancakes: delicious - bacon and sausage were fine Overall, it s a 3 because, as the kids would say, it s mid.

Food was great with friendly service. We had a large party of 11 on a Sunday afternoon and was seated immediately. We tried a variety of dishes and were all satisfied. There was A mishap where one of the Waittress dropped one of our plates when bringing the food out. We were celebrating our church mother 90th birthday. It just so happened to be her plate. They comped her meal, brought her a slice of really delicious Italian cake and sung happy Birthday with us. That was great customer service. I would definitely recommend this location. The fried Pickles and ranch cant be beat. Unfortunately, alot of times the food doesnt have much flavor. The waitress said its because most of the customers are elderly and cant have alot of salt in their diet. We asked for our appetizer to come out before the meal. It didnt come out until wer were almost done with our meals, despite us reminding the waitress.

Disappointing Christmas food. We as a family hold Kelleys in high regard, but the Christmas dinners ordered from Pearland Broadway location for take out failed compared to normal standard. 4 adults Turkey dinners lacked Turkey and the amount of cornbread dressing filled most of the containers. The sides were ok, but the green beans tasted bland, and to be honest not properly prepared. There were bean stems in 2 orders. Overall for what we spent and for the celebration of the day, the food from Kelleys this Christmas was disappointing.

I decided to try out Kellys today for the first time in 8 years. I was absolutely blown away with how good the food was. If you want delicious home-style american food you need to go here! The service was awesome, Shellie took very good care of me and my buddy. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, as it is very outdated. Overall this was an awesome experience. Rating 9.0/10

I ordered a To-Go order today and realized after I have paid and picked up the order that there was a 6% ToGo surcharge! I called the restaurant manager about it and was told that that charge is for the cost of the ToGo boxes! Com n, where does it stop! I tip your wait staff because you pay your wait staff the bare minimum, which is way below minimum wage! Now I am expected to pay for your cost of doing business, your supplies??? Where does it stop?!? I guess, it stops at when I stop eating out or ordering to-go! What is worst is that I paid for the To-Go surcharge, but they can t even put the stuffed potatoes in a To-Go box, as management told me! All potatoes where put in a paper bag and some of them came out smushed!! This is just insane! Tipping is not optional anymore for the services that are rendered. Now they are automatically put on the bill. Be aware of what you are swiping and singing, folks! This shouldn t definitely be standard of doing business. Never will order out AGAIN at this place!

Kelleys is great! Always has been and hopefully always will be. The reason for the drop in stars is because we sat near the kitchen and could see everything going on. There was a woman, brown hair with some highlights, wearing a ponytail and had a heavy, silver, charm bracelet on her right hand. She was touching everything with her bare hands. All the pancakes and bread that came out, she would tap her with bare hands, I guess to check temperature. She would then put it in the microwave, then touch them again when taking it out. She even picked up someones biscuits to inspect them, then put back on the plate. The final straw was when I saw her picking her teeth, again with her bare hands, and continue to grab food. I saw another server sneeze into her hands and continue doing what she was doing. Then saw another one eating food off a plate. We were disgusted. They dont wear name tags so I didnt get her name. I stopped at the register to talk to a manager and the (very nice) girl at the front went to get him. I waited 5 minutes at the front and he never came out. So I just informed her of everything and asked that she please tell the manager. Hopefully she does, and hopefully these servers get talked to. I will say our server, Debbie T, was absolutely amazing. She was funny, sweet, caring, quick, sanitary and pleasant.
