Hired this guy a few years ago for a child custody case,after agreeing on a set fee & payment plan & that he would fight my case all the way up to trail by judge (excluding trail by jury),my case unfortunately extended almost a year. After a long time & finally getting a trail date he hits me with surprise that I need to pay him another $3,000 because my case had extended longer than he expected (after our deal was a set fee for fighting my case up to trail by judge) never did we agree on a time frame. I know it wasn t his fault that the case extended longer than what he anticipated, but it neither was it my fault. Nevertheless he threatened to leave my case a week before going to trial if I didn t pay him another $3,000. I couldn t believe that he was actually doing that to me after he knew exactly the hardships I was going through,fighting for my children and struggling to keep my end of the bargain paying him the agreed fee. I had no choice but to pay him the extra fee he demanded fearing he would drop my case just a week away from trail day. That was so cruel & unjust of him to take advantage of me & my vulnerability at the last moment knowing that I loved my children & would have no other option but to succumb to his demand & pay up. I had to sell belongings & beg friends & family members in order to come up with $3,000 in a week notice before my long awaited & anticipated trail date. I had no choice but to make a sacrifice for my children I pay him. Don t trust this guy,he will take full advantage of your situation & weakness at such a vulnerable time. I have the contract & receipts to prove everything I m saying is true,and I will post pictures of them if he denies anything I said.. Your a cruel & dishonest person Gerald!!

Do not trust this guy period!!!!!!!! He is not very experienced in this area of Law. He makes all the promises in the world and when it comes down to it can never deliver the final out come. All he wants is money,money,money and, more money. Trust me if its family, criminal or, personal injury Haggard Law firm is your better option.

I felt like he fought for me like I was his own family & he will do the same for you. He knows what he s doing & will get the job done! He will listen to your situation & get what is in the best interest for your child. He s very honest and won t sugar coat a thing. His team also communicated with me very well throughout the process. I would not give yoakum law firm any stars at all if it was an option. Although his staff is very nice and attentive, this guy could cost you your freedom and loss of rights. I paid a hefty retainer only to be lied to, judged by my own attorney based on assumptions, have my case drug out for years (preventing me from working in my field), and parting ways with no resolution of my case. Three weeks later my court appointed attorney had my charges reduced and case resolved. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON INCOMPETENT REPRESENTATION. Not to mention he drug out my ex husbands previous divorce for almost four years as well.

Got appointed Mr. Yoakum and he treated me like a PERSON unlike any other lawyer I spoke to before. He was not after the money- he was after justice. He goes far and beyond anyone else when it comes to his profession. If you are looking for a lawyer- he should be your go to. I appreciate everything he has done and CANNOT thank him enough. He was able to get my case dismissed very quickly and professionally. Mr.Yoakum is and always will be considered my familys guardian angel ! He took my case and faught for 3 years simply out of the goodness of his his heart ! He was paid NOTHING he spent many , many hours on a case unlike any case that had EVER been in the Brazoria county courts ! I live in missouri and was called to last minute court dates , that would be held over extra days , Mr. Yoakum took money out of his own pocket and paid for a hotel room for my husband and I! Mr. Yoakum faught relentlessly for my 3 girls until they were back with me and thanks to him now 15 years later I am happily expecting my 8th grandchild. Lawyer/Lawyer Leonard De La Rosa. In Spanish for Spanish speakers/ below in English for English speakers Leonard De La Rosa: Terrible lawyer, run in another direction when you see him. He is such a bad professional that I wouldnt give him even one star but I have to give him one because it is a mandatory field, my husband hired him in 2016 for a simple traffic ticket, yesterday we received a letter from the court telling my husband that You owe the court more than 400USD and if you dont pay they arrest you, all because of your bad practice, lawyer De La Rosa, I dont recommend him at all, run away gentlemen and never use his services. Now in English because it is truly important to share this information. Leonard De La Rosa: Worst lawyer ever, please if you see him run in another direction. Dont hire him. He takes your money to the tune of 5k and does nothing . yes he filed a few court status updates and filed my daughters contestment. She paid them in full. They refused to postpone her mediation so she could come up with another 1k forbhiis pay as she qualified for subsidised mediation. My daughter was nit only shafted by this law firm an taken advantage of she got shafted at mediation today. Now my daughter is screwed for a long time because we hired a bad lawyer. If you are fighting custody please your child is everything so find a lawyer that will actually go to court. For 5k he never even stepped foot in a courtroom for my daughter
