Im giving this sushi restaurant a 1-star rating for their failure to honor their advertised AYCE sushi deal. Last night, I had a reservation for 12 people to celebrate my sons birthday. Despite ordering AYCE sushi, they quickly brought out cheap fried food and vegetables while delaying the sashimi. The waiters repeatedly assured us that the sashimi was on its way, but we didnt receive any until we confronted them after an hour and 15 minutes (the AYCE limit was 1.5 hours). We noticed the head chef watching us, even though there were few other tables at the time. If they werent willing to serve AYCE, they shouldnt have offered it in the first place. The bill came to $550 after tax and tip, but we were more concerned about the chefs rude behavior and the long wait for sashimi. The server offered a discount, but we declined as we wanted to enjoy a fun family dinner, not receive compensation for a ruined experience.

Everything here is great! Steak hibachi, Steak teriyaki, red snapper teriyaki, yellowtail, salad, miso and so much more. Fresh & light sauces to compliment dishes. Great iced tea, too. This was my first time being served hibachi food without sitting in front of the chef. The food was served rather quickly. Too quickly to have been prepared fresh. I had the hibachi scallops and steak. The scallops were fresh but the steak was tough. My guest had a sushi plate which was excellent! The staff were sufficient but not overly helpful. We were there on a Saturday at five but they were not busy.

I got food poisoning from the fried rice and began to experience symptoms within a couple of hours after eating here. The symptoms interfered with my ability to do my job the next day. Do not recommend!

My fiancé and I are big fans of Yamamori, especially the Black Pearl Roll it never disappoints. One thing weve noticed, though, is that the spicy edamame isnt as flavorful as it used to be. It used to have a strong, spicy kick, but now it just tastes like black pepper. It s still good, but we miss the old recipe. On the plus side, the service is always excellent, with attentive staff and beautifully presented dishes.

We have enjoyed Yamamori many times over the last few years, and even more so since Tommy has been there. The food is exceptional with beautiful presentation and quality taste. Tommy takes great pride in ensuring he and the staff provide a quality dining experience, and he is a joy to chat with (and knows the menu like the back of his hand!). They now offer an AYCE option that is a great alternative to the a la carte menu, and has lots of choice options. A particular menu favorite of mine is the ginger avocado salad (dee-lish!) and tonight we tried a new-to-us roll, the Fujiyami, that will be in our top favorites moving forward. Sooo good! Do yourself a favor and stop in--its a hidden gem in Pearland!

THE best sushi I have had in a while. I was shocked by how good it was. They took such care packing the food. There were FRESH FLOWERS in the to go boxes! Everything tasted really fresh. No boring california rolls here. I ordered on uber eats. I want to update my review. Ive been back at least 12 times in person, pick up orders, as well as my trust postmates. The food is very good and has large servings. It puts a lot on top of the rolls, and each are tasty. I personally recommend the volcano, snow white, shaggy dog, and the spicy girl. The tempura shrimp and sweet potatoes are crispy and have a good batter. All of the raw fish and the eel are tasty and seem fresh. My only regret is that the red bean ice cream does not have red bean paste served with it, but the restaurant and the food are very good. The photos are of edemame, red snapper teriyaki, and the double spicy roll. *Not important, but it would be funny if the titanic roll had two tiny shrimps on one tiny roll like in the movie. The entire roll is to be surrounded by ice water, slightly sinking.

Weve eaten here basically every other week since they opened, and really enjoy the food. However tonight they absolutely over charged us on the Sake we normally order. We always order the full bottle of Nigori Sake, we were told they ordered the wrong size and served it to us in carafes instead. They still charges is 18$ per carafe!!! That sort of dishonest business has lost out family as a customer. In reply to the owner, I understand that. Normally we buy the 750mL bottle of Nigori for $18. On our last visit we were served it in the large sake decanter (like for house hot or cold sake) and told they ordered the wrong bottles. They told us they were splitting it in the decanters to serve it to us and then charged us the $18 dollars for each large sake decanter (which you normally only charge $7 for.) Not only have you lost my business for dishonest practices now you are calling me a liar on this review. Despicable behavior.

Place was clean and waitress did a great job but food was not fresh, it tasted like it was made the day before, cold and dry, maybe if you go during busy hours you could eat fresh food here

We went on a Wednesday night. Took about 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge our table. We asked for waters for the 4 of us, took asking 3 times for them to get delivered. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 dinners. Appetizers came before any drinks, 2 of the hibachi came at the same time as the salad and soup, took about 5 minutes for the 3rd dinner to come and I had to ask where the 4th meal was since the rest of us were almost done. For all that hassle, food was not that great. Server was quick to bring the bill and collect his money though. Definitely not a good experience.

Great food. My daughter and I tried it for a Sunday lunch yesterday. . We were pleasantly surprised. Service was great. The food was delicious. By the way, we order both raw and cooked sushi. My daughter is a sushi enthusiast she wanted hers cooked. She was happy with her choice. I loved the my raw sushi better. We even ordered a cooked takeaway for dinner. A definitely repeat.

The quality is not matching with the price that you paying. The portion is generous however with grocery store quality. $3.5/piece for nigiri with cold/dry fish is not worth it for me. I m a big fan of fresh sushi so I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Waiter was friendly and provided great service but the food was mediocre and way overpriced. $9 for 6 small sticks of calamari and $8 for 3 pieces of shrimp tempura is outrageous. You re better off going to Shogun or Sakura down the street.

Ordered on UberEATS and disappointed on portion sizes for the price. 1/4 cup of rice with the nearly 30$, sauceless hibachi isnt enough. 11$ for 5 calamari pieces would hardly slide as an appetizer anywhere (more like garnish). Wouldnt order online again. Might have a different experience at the restaurant.

We stumbled on this little hidden gem and so glad we did. The service was great, atmosphere is well curated, and the food was phenomenal. The fish was fresh and sushi rolls ranged from classics to extravagant. We had the Black Pearl and Spicy girl rolls, avocado salad, and onion soup. We will be back!

This is a harsher review because of food safety concerns. My spouse and I both got the udon noodle soup with chicken. The noodles are a good texture, but the broth doesn t have much flavor and the toppings could do without imitation crab meat sticks. They also add a hard boiled egg a soft boiled / marinated egg would make it much more flavorful, along with more fresh toppings. Aside from that, something in this meal caused both of us to have food borne illness symptoms within an hour and a half after eating the meal. I just flew in from out of country and this was our first meal together after getting in town today, so both of us getting ill at the same time confirms it was the restaurant food. I hope they can make some improvements and practice better food preparation I would have given them a second chance for other items on the menu that looked quite good (ie sushi) had we not gotten sick, but not risking it now.

So I have supported this restaurant since inception. There is always something forgotten, not made, etc, but the food always makes up. Well tonight, right now, Ive had enough. I called 35 min ago to place an order. They told me 20 to 25 min. I get here and nothing has been cooked. The server looked lost and confused as if he knew nothing about my order. I look over and see my order that seemingly hasnt been turned into the kitchen....then I was told they were busy and looked around and only 2 tables are with customers! Give me a break...not happy, needed to feed the kids and this has slowed my eve....good food when u eat there

Small but quaint place. Pork dumplings, chicken/shrimp tempura appetizers were excellent. We ordered two rolls. The Titanic roll and the California roll were amazing. We will definitely come back again to try other dishes. Kids order noodles witch chicken and they loved. Downside is no kids menu. A fun date night.

Ive enjoyed coming here, but they recently increased their prices from about 30 to almost 100% for most menu items (things that were 4 dollars last week are now 7.99!), which makes eating here regularly unrealistic. Hopefully the all you can eat sushi place opening across 288 has better value. Please take note, most of the menu prices people posted in their pictures are now waaaaay off. I was going to post updated ones but they ran off with the menus. I can understand cost of food, but Corona? Really? Lol.

We were not big on sushi.. well until yesterday! My family and I stopped by for dinner after church and the experience was exceptional. First off, our server Nate was great! He was very friendly, attentive, and shared some really good suggestions with us. We ordered plenty of sushi, and all was delicious, fresh, and filling. So originally I had door dashed from here and that was a huge mistake mostly from my part because sushi is meant to eat fresh. Decided to give it another try and I m tremendously happy we did! Clear soup and fried rice is amazing. Ordered 3 rolls they were all good, King Kong is definitely massive, wacko was good but it is in the name there s a lot going on, ocean 11 was the better tasting one very good. Cucumber salad was refreshing and house salad they have to have the best ginger dressing I ve ever tried. Asked for spicy chopped scallop and they made it for us, delicious! Shumai was ok and dumplings were good. Service was excellent.
