First time here and it was a 10 out of 10. Food is so fresh and our waiter Power was amazing! Took time to answer our questions and even took his recommendation on his favorite chicken bowl and it was delicious. We will be back and we encourage you to go give them a try

I found the lemon chicken soup just chicken soup. Missing lemon and salt. The spanokppita feta was a bit salty. The califlour had no salt, so the taste was bland. The mousakka was just ok. The gyro plate was OK. The meat was just OK, no yogurt sauce or pita. It included a bit of vegetables instead of salad. The food did not have a Mediterranean flare. The service was a bit slow as well.

The food was eh, but the service was 10/10. I ordered Falafel Wrap, and grape leaves rolls, it wasn t that flavorful but the service was great. Very attentive, helpful and provided everything I needed and constantly checked on me. I would come again to try something else maybe it was just that one food. I hope this was helpful! This was our first time eating here and it was the BEST experience. My husband ordered the octopus and he said it was fresh and seasoned well. I tried the pasititsio and it was a great portion that was seasoned well. The creative twist on grilled cheese with pita was good. Our server was to attentive and helpful with our needs. Ordered for delivery. The best Greek Salad! Includes plenty of baby greens, thin slices of red onion and cucumbers, plus loads of cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and fresh feta. I opted for the house Greek dressing and it was delicious! The SD Pita (1) are fresh. The chipotle hummus is a must have! And the Rice Pudding was plentiful and tasty. I honestly never leave a review but this was such a bad experience i had to. The Mac and cheese was Kraft Mac. The chicken soup was 100% from a can. The lemon potatoes were ok. The fries were almost soggy with some of them undercooked. Our fried cauliflower was oily, and served with just yogurt. I get what they were going for.. but also don t. It s just overpriced for being items i could have bought for $20 at the grocery store. As someone who used to work here before it became a Mediterranean spot i can tell you that they don t have the capabilities to actually cook from scratch here because of the way the kitchen is set up. (Areas to prep and microwaves only.) It s either all store bought and warmed up or they re able to cook a limited amount of things here. I was hoping they renovated since then but based off the food, it seems like no.

The food was excellent. We got the tzatziki with pita, and spanakopita as appetizers. The pita was warm and soft and the tzatziki was perfectly fresh. We had never had spanakopita before but we were really impressed! It s phyllo dough with feta and spinach and it was light and warm and flaky and delicious. We shared a side Greek salad - dressing was bright and fresh and the salad was crispy and delicious. I got the gyro plate with lemon potatoes. The portion was huge! The gyro meat was so delicious and had perfect ratios of veggies, tzatziki and a generous amount of meat. The lemon potatoes were delish but I asked for a few extra lemon wedges bc I like mine extra lemony. They were cooked to perfection! My husband got the Moussaka which was like an eggplant lasagna and the sauce had a very pleasantly surprising nutmeg flavor to it. It was unique and delicious, we both loved it. He also got the sautéed spinach as a side and he ate every bite! We saved room for desert bc we could not pass up the baklava cheesecake and omg it was worth every single calorie. It came with your choice of a scoop of gelato. We chose pistachio and it paired with the baklava cheesecake perfectly. The environment was really nice and the decor was super Greek! Lots of bright blues and nice photography of Greece throughout, and they had Mama Mia songs on their playlist which I thought was a great little touch lol! Overall a fantastic experience and delicious food and great service. A must try!

We first visited when they first opened and were not really impressed. This visit was way better! Our food was great! The service was good too but they suddenly got busy and it was a bit difficult getting drink refills. I had the octopus, my husband had the Greek salad, my son had the falafel bowl and my kids had the kid meals (chicken tenders and macaroni). Everyone was happy with their meals. I absolutely will be coming back here!! The food is AMAZING and has really great prices. Very flavorful. Reminds me of Dimassi s food but better quality. The servers and staff are very very kind and constantly check on you. They answer all your questions and go above and beyond. This place has been on my list for quite a while but only finally took the plunge! Wife got the Buffalo chicken pita and liked it. She s not a huge fan of the turmeric flavor the chicken is marinated in but tolerated it. Loved the fries. Seasoned and crispy! I shot for a custom meal getting the spinach & feta pita and added chicken to it. It was pretty good. They could definitely dial back in the feta tho. Little bummed that just a handful of chicken added to my pita was an additional $6 charge. I will definitely return and try something else. And definitely will keep to the menu rather than making additions.

The staff was exceptionally kind. The food was a disappointment. The Saganaki was the worst I have ever seen. It reminded me of the yellow square package cheese, except that it was white. They toasted the top, but it was small an unappetizing. The falafel was not cooked through and was similar to the texture of cookie dough. The rice, veggies, and lemon potatoes were good. The hummus was decent but slightly bland. The food quality was what I would expect for fast food Mediterranean. I don t say all this to be rude or mean, just trying to leave an honest opinion.

This is our second visit in one week. The servers are attentive and friendly, the food is absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Met one of the owners, Jordan, this afternoon. Both trips had gyros and french fries, as well as the pita bread and tzatziki. We will be back next week

The spanakopita is awesome. This is a very family friendly place with very friendly staff. The food is all very good. We have dined-in and ordered take out. We will continue returning. You also get a lot of food for the price. This is definitely delicious bang for your buck. Parking: There is a ton of parking.

I contacted the restaurant via Facebook messenger and received a quick response acknowledging my questions and that they would look into my allergy restrictions when they had a chance. In less than 12 hours I had a list of menu items that are safe for me to eat! We stopped in and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service. My husband had the cod and I had soup and a salad. This was the first time in a very long time that my husband was able to order something without having to make substitutions. Kate was great with double checking and ensuring there was no dairy in anything that made it to our table. She was enthusiastic and made sure our experience was top notch. We stopped back in yesterday for a quick bite before heading off to an evening engagement and again had Kate as our waitress. Hubs ordered the cod and this time I had the gyro and fries. I did actually remember to get pics this time but not before taking a couple of bites. Again, food and service was phenomenal. Vegetarian options: There are both vegetarian and vegan options. When learning about allergens they were genuinely helpful. Dietary restrictions: Contacted prior to arrival and was given options that were safe.

The food was delicious! The arugula beet salad was the perfect ratio of ingredients. No flavor overpowered the other. Plus the delicious balsamic vinaigrette was strategically placed underneath the greens. Extras stars in my book for that! The moussaka was perfect. Again bonus points for how thinly the eggplant was sliced and the perfect balance of seasoning. The lemon potatoes were so delicious. The staff was simply lovely. I had an elderly family member with me. They sat us close to the front to make it easier on her and helped us get our to go food to the car. So very kind. Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy handicap ramp for rollators.

So delicious!!!!! The hummus was SO tasty! You could taste the garlic and paprika. Presentation was flawless! The pita bread was warm and melted in my mouth! Then I had the gyro with rice and OMG the RICE again so flavorful and fluffy. You can taste the authentic olive oil and garlic..amazing! Then my gyro meat so tender, sauce with the perfect amount of dill!! I could kiss the chef! To top it all off our waitress Delilah was perfect. She met all of our needs at the perfect time. 5 stars! If I could give more I would! Oh yea the ambience was awesome. The decor and music felt like I was in Greece!

I don t know if I would get the cod again. It s suppose to be pan seared but it seemed like it had a soggy outer layer. The vegetables and potatoes were flavorful and good. The cod was just a bit dry and lacked flavor. For the price should ve tried something else.

My fiancé tried this place and said it was amazing and recommended I try it. So I went with her today to give it a try and this place did not let down! Food was so fresh and tasted phenomenal, definitely a place I m going to bring the squad to for lunch & dinner! This place is definitely going in my normal rotation for Pearland! 10/10! Service was great, waiter was very kind and the atmosphere inside was very authenticate and clean! Would recommend for everyone!

Because Portara is set pretty far back in its shopping center location off of Broadway, its easy to miss it when passing on the busy street. That would be a very sad thing because this little restaurant is serving unpretentious but fantastic Greek food in a cozy setting with friendly service. The portions are generous and the flavors are very authentic. A great place for a delicious meal!

06/05/2023 Small family friendly, family run restaurant. The staff is very inviting and serviceable. The food is quite delicious. I was here on a Friday night and they were quite busy but didnt feel we had to wait very long for our food. The dishes are creative, the flavors are wonderful and the quality is fresh. I did go at the end of the day and within 30 minutes of closing. I had the lamb and pita sandwich (souvlaki). The lamb was nice but the tzatziki sauce though flavorful, was very thin and disappeared into the pita bread. The baklava was pretty good. Flavorful, but could use more syrup/honey. The staff were friendly and prompt. Overall, ok casual dining place.

I had driven by this place a couple of times and thought it looked fairly new (turns out May 2023 will be their one year anniversary of being open !)... I love me some good Mediterranean food so decided to stop in with my kids on my birthday and I was not disappointed. The place is very clean and very well put together and the food was delicious. They have a good variety to choose from and everything is so fresh. We ordered the baba ghanoush (SO good !), gyro pita, lamb kabob and the spinach and feta pita. We all were happy with our choices and left there stuffed. Our server, Danielle, was suuuper nice. I look forward to going back !

Such a great restaurant! We come here every Sunday - after only a few visits, they knew us enough to greet us with our usual drinks! The food is outstanding and priced well (plentiful portions). Service is also wonderful!
