As an avid Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food lover, this wasn t it for me. The food was hot and fresh but the flavor was bad. I m not picky with my food whatsoever but I couldn t even finish the plate and I was hungry. Drinks are good, staff are friendly, and the price point is solid, but I wouldn t visit again.

Walked in at about 8:00 pm tonight, nobody greeted or said anything. I walked over to the bar asked for a menu so I could place a very simple order to go. All I wanted was some queso and chips. A young gentleman walked up to the register was very nice took my order which was just about seven bucks I guess thats the average price for chips in queso. When I got home it was to my surprise that the queso was in a container that was just a little bit bigger than reference to a jello shot container for seven bucks I think not. It had a different taste to it almost as if they added a chili or something into it it was not pleasing at all. I also noticed that once you got to the restaurant the menus are all white it out with handwritten prices nothing like it says online just FYI. I was so excited to go this place as its close to my house and I just moved to the area. What a disappointment I would not recommend and I will not return.

My server was fabulous. I can t say I ve had a better server in years. Food was quick and fresh, he sat myself and my date down and took our drink orders right then and there. Came back with the drinks and ask if we were ready to order. I said once my drink is half done we will order. What do you know my drink was half down and he was right back. Service was top notch. Owners, PLEASE listen. John needs to go!!! His customer service is even documented on a receipt. I have reviewed many of the last comments, and agree with the positives. My family and I have been patrons for more than thirty years, we tip well (30% plus) and generally maintain couth. Grin. The food has been consistently yummy, and the newest cook is welcome, as is Pepe, always. The service, no!! Im sure Robert did his best to ensure continued staff employment upon sale, but John is a FAIL. My sister, myself, and a close girlfriend entered a little after noon on a Wednesday. We were the only patrons, and ordered from the lunch menu. Our food took at least 35 minutes to arrive. I took one bite of rice, and was happy. I went for a second forkful, and saw the thick, black, long strand of hair entwined within my beans and the rice. So GROSS!! I immediately called John for remedy. John, by words, stance and facial expression strongly implied that this was my doing, because the cook is bald. I was nonplussed due to Johns attitude and just the basic facts! My hair is not black, and not long, and is quite thin/fine in texture. My sister is a blonde (white underneath), and our friend has thin gray/brown hair in a ponytail. We were NOT the culprits!! And, btw, as we enjoyed the remaining served food, we watched a young hispanic woman with flowing hair and some highlights enter and exit from the kitchen/serving area at least four times. (I declined a repeat plate, because ??) John, again, referred to our hair as the cause when I paid the tab. There are no circumspect words!!! Folks, we go way back, and through three locations! Robert, his parents, Pepe, Victor, and Carlos... John needs to go!! You are losing your customer base! PLEASE, he is AWFUL.

Sad . Do not expect aguas frescas or Mexican cokes, they only have flat fountain drinks, I was told they were going to change it, but never did, and still charged us $3 for each flat soda. Cumin is added to their rice so you can imagine how it taste. We asked for a kids quesadilla and 2 squares of American cheese were added. I know it s not a Mexican restaurant, it s a Tex-Mex, but in my humble opinion it s not worth it.

I ordered the queso a la parrilla which wasnt edible. It tasted like a burned Teflon skillet. I brought it home thinking my dog might eat it. My dog wouldnt eat it either. The margaritas were good, the food was awful.

First time here and not real happy . They offered 3 BOGO coupons sent thru messenger after signing up. I got the coupons. Was excited to try this place out . On Nov 29 I get a message reminding me to use them . So on Dec 6 me and a friend go in and order & eat. The waiter then tell us the owner decided not to honor the coupons after Dec 1, the promotion was a hassle . No where is there any expiration on the digital coupon but ok what ever. We eat , they forgot our guacamole that came with our meal. We did ask for it and he brought it. we get the bill and we were charged for the queso we never got. They were not busy at all. Tell our waiter he s bummed he has to void order and the split the check again . He then comes back to table to say he can t void it cause they have no internet . WTH . He suggested we pay it and when I come back he would remember me and give me the queso umm No! He offered a margarita TO GO, I don t drink. The plate I got was good , food was fresh and hot but not worth the hassel. ( it was suppose to be buy one get one ) The restaurant is small has a couple of outdoor patio tables. They do have a full bar to sit at as well. It s a local favorite but just not sure I ll be back.

Love the food and the customer service. They will even work with you if you want particular combos. Parking: Surrounding businesses make it a good place to take care of multiple objectives in one car ride. Get your nails done next door, get your workout on across the street, gat your meds filled on the corner then enjoy those enchiladas and amazing salsa .

I hesitated to write this, but my family has been eating here since it was at the other location probably at least 30 yrs. One of our servers has recently bought it and painted looks nice. But the service has definitely gone downhill the last few times we have been in the avocado has been mostly brown & less than a tablespoon was served. Our final visit our usual waiter stood behind the bar talking with 4 people & totally ignored us had to go to bar for drinks go to bar to ask for tab, go to bar for to go box he just stood there and looked at us from bar this is very hurtful since we have been going there longer than hes worked there. We are 40% tippers so thats not the problem. It might help if the new owner spent more time there so he can make sure his customers are taken care of. Hope things work out for you but you have lost my family & friends business. Hope to see you in Honduras Robert you are missed.

Nope. Nope. Nope. First time here and no bueno. The service was great and the patrons were nice. But the food is definitely not worth going. I order the Alamos plate. The enchiladas tasted like they were the HEB boxed kind. The Ground beef tasted like dish water, maybe they used a spoon that wasnt washed right. The flautas looked microwaved and the water in the beans tasted like dish water too. The tortillas were NOT homemade. I could smell the plastic and the taste was horrible. The waiter tried coaxing me into switching out my plate for another, but I just didnt want to pay for something I took one bite out of. Sorry if you enjoy this place, but you are probably used to the taste and that is not ok.

Went on a lazy Sunday. They had 4 customers when I walked in. Two of them got up and paid then left , right after getting their food. The couple they were with didnt eat all their food either. They left right after them. Thats strike one.... Made me nervous because I had just placed my order. The menu is very basic. Not a lot of choices for your favorites. All I wanted was a tacos al carbon plate.... Their tacos al carbon plate is just one taco .....with a cheese enchilada and rice and beans.. I asked for an extra taco. The extra taco I got was ground beef and extremely greasy. Strike two...... The fajita taco was pretty good. The meat has decent flavor. But you only get one.... The rice was ok. My beans had a dried out crusty layer across the top. When I tried to move the plate closer to me , I understood why. Plate was hot as hell. My enchilada plate had been sitting under a heat lamp while they made my tacos. The plate didnt even look appealing. Beams taste like from a can..... The cheese enchilada..... Soooo nasty. I only had two small bites. Couldnt eat it. Had a funky taste , nothing like Ive ever tasted in a cheese enchilada. Strike three.... I used to go here a LOT about 15+ years ago. Then , the food was absolutely delicious. Now , I wouldnt ever go back. The ONLY thing thats worth the trip is if you only get fajitas tacos (not a plate , just order by itself) and the sweet tea. The sweet tea is the only reason I didnt give this place a single star. The tea is the BOMB ! Had about 5-6 glasses..... Yeah , Ill never go back unless Im just thirsty. Its just not worth the money. Ive had better frozen dinners..... This is probably the worst food Ive had at a Mexican restaurant.

Sooo I really debated posting a review but overall I was so displeased with my visit. The staff was very kind and attentive but the food on the other hand was not for me and the cleanliness was questionable. I used to go here as a kid, we stopped going because it wasn t good anymore. I seen a post on a Facebook group recently that encouraged me to give them another chance. It s the following day and me and my daughter are both nauseous and have stomach pain. The salsa they served was cold and not very good so I asked for queso that was served room temperature. I really had to question wether they were reheating food. I got fajitas, while eating them a found a piece of tortilla mixed in with the onions? My guacamole was literally white see the photos. When I asked why, I was told the avocados they purchase came from South America. So I guess that makes them white? The tortillas were definitely store bought and reheated. Im honestly not one to complain about price but that was even a little high considering the quality and it was just me and my child. I gave them 2 stars because of the excellent service. This place just wasn t for me.

Highly disappointed Not only was the food dissatisfying but the prices for what I got. Wow! Ordered 2 lunch beef fajita nachos with a Queso on the side for 27.99 (queso was 8.99!! Not even including beef or anything extra inside) The nachos were so plain. Only a tbs of sour cream and avocado on top. The food was marginal. Was charged $19.15 during LUNCH for a ground beef taco, ground beef enchilada, chicken enchilada, refried beans, rice, and an iced tea. After speaking with the manager, he said that the plate on the to-go menu with the same items for $8.69 was only offered at dinner. Also, that the sauce that I had on the chicken enchilada was a special sauce, not the menu standard. The 2 enchilada plate on the menu with rice and beans is priced at $7.99. I told him that that sauce was not worth $7.00 and that they should tell someone that the prices are so high when being charged a la carte. Plus they upcharge 3% for credit card sales.

I went in and asked for tamarindo juice and the waiter looked baffled. That was strike 1. The complimentary salsa and chips came with the most watered down, straight out of a can sorry excuse for salsa ever; strike 2. I ordered a beef quesadilla. The fajita tasted like that pre-cooked bagged fajita you get at the store, the guac was frozen in the center. Its the least Mexican Mexica-restaurant Ive ever been to. You have better luck finding authentic Mexican or Tex-mex at a taco bell than this place.

Not bad. I ordered the chimichanga and sides. I was surprised to find the food had the proper seasonings. The salsa was watery and the menu needed to be cleaned but still not bad.

Our first time here. The special of fajitas for two was a great deal. Charro Beans were great. The gentleman, I assume the owner, was super nice. I give it three stars because I would have liked the tortillas to have been homemade.

Came here for the first time since moving from Pasadena. Food is still great. Service was awesome and our order came out perfect. We didnt have alcohol, but our drinks were never empty. Highly recommend this place.

Seen this place here for as long as I can remember. Visited for the first time and was satisfied with the food but not excited. Caned beans and funny taste to the salsa. Chips where good. The drinks where properly carbonated and flavored. They must have got a deal on some cheese because it was not spared a bit. High grade cheese too, like tillamook or something. Rice could have used more flavor but overall, as I said; I was satisfied. The decor was great! The seating was good. The waiter that served us was extra on point with his knowledge of the menu and the drinks, but he was a bit robotic and inattentive. Give them a try though, it was super inexpensive and I left with a full tummy and a smile. The best part of my whole experience was the time with my beautiful woman.

When I went for lunch, the place wasnt busy but the tables were all dirty. It was around noon on a Sunday, so I would think they would have been prepared for the after church crowd. Service was a bit slow given the lack of customers. The food was alright, it arrived at the table hot.
