First time here. Burrito- better than Chipotle Atmosphere- clean. For a Texas place that makes music part of the ambiance, Id figure theyd play TX music or TX artists. Iced T- again, for a TX themed place, the T was weak as hell and sucked. Lol I will definitely be back, thank you!

Honestly the food at Freebirds as a whole has significantly gone downhill in the last few years. I keep coming back hoping that it was just a fluke but nope I am certain that their food will forever remain terrible. Steak tastes like it comes out of a can and guacamole out of a bag. The people working at this location are not friendly at all. Presentation of food looks like a bowl of vomit. Do better especially when I am paying 20+ dollars for a regular burrito bowl and a drink.

The food was great, but the staff gave the impression that they did not even want to be there. It was my first time visiting a freebirds world burrito, so I had questions and the employee was none too happy to answer any of them. I walked out of there not knowing exactly what I was getting but it did taste great! Vegetarian options: You can order it practically anything and leave the meat out.

I usually come to freebies because chipotle is so stingy with their portions but now free it s is on my list as well. The girl taking my order gave me the smallest scoop of fake chicken possible, when I got to the front I took all the chicken pieces out and put it on the plastic top to show her how little they gave me not even 10 pieces of chicken! The manager just shrugged and said that s just our portions disgusting I ll make my food at home lol

I ordered a bowl and chips for delivery. The chips were left off. I called indicating the chips were left off. Shift lead said she could not give a refund, but would put a coupon at the register with my name on it for the missing chips. I just ordered a few days later and called requesting to redeem the coupon for those chips. I was told no such thing was found and it was my understanding that she gave you the chips . I am COVID positive and have not been out of my house. So, was basically called a liar by this location.

This place used to be soooo good. I preferred it over Chipotle. Ordered yesterday and I was so disappointed. Taste was not as good as it was a few years ago, chicken was cut up into extremely tiny bits. Not sure if it is just this location or all of them but this definitely discouraged me from ever stepping into a freebirds again. The service was the only reason why I gave a 2 star instead of 1.

Came in with my kiddo on a Sunday when kids eat free. We were the only ones in there so they were not busy but I was still rushed thru ordering. I had been there before so I knew I wanted a burrito and ordered one after being told the choices for tortilla. Low carb was offered as an option and that s what I chose. I asked what choices were on a kids meal and ordered that as well. I got to the register and my total seemed high so I asked why that was. I was told I got a monster burrito. I didn t order that as I thought I got the regular one I usually get and the monster looked no bigger even tho it was $3 more. I was also told that I got a low carb tortilla and when I asked why that mattered, cashier said it s $2 extra. That was clearly NOT told to me as I wouldn t have paid $2 more for a dang tortilla the same size as all the others. We began to eat and my kiddo wouldn t eat the rice or beans as they were both crunchy. Not at all soft like rice and beans from other places. My burrito was decent even tho it was normal size and there was nothing monster about it. Even on a kids eat free day, the quality and quantity didn t match the price I paid.

No matter what size you order your going to get the same amount of protein. Dont waste your Money ordering a monster size burrito you will still end up with the same amount of meat as any other burrito. Ive been a customer of freebirds since 2006 and for 18 years it has always been a decent place to eat but the location in Pasadena has drastically reduced both quantity and quality since the pandemic. I personally prefer to eat at the one in Webster because they are not trained to reduce the amount of food to save the location money.

Not that fresh, the cauliflower and steak were both in need of a supply refill and quite frankly looked unappealing. When we requested fresh ingredients we were told it was fine and not to worry, just take what was there. The kids quesadilla barely had any cheese between the tortillas. Rather disappointing

Freebirds is one of the best places for mission style burritos in Houston. I actually usually get their nachos, but both are good. This location is easy to get in and out of, is reasonably clean and there was no line despite the shipping center its located in was very busy.

As a frequent visitor of Chipotle for the last eight years, I finally decided to give FreeBirds a try. I was impressed. I have always heard mixed reviews on this chain. Some love it, some hate it. This location in particular wasn t bad at all. It was slow and I was the only customer in the building. The girls running the place didn t let that change their level of customer service. They answered all my questions and had very thorough knowledge on the menu. I m not sure if the queso is made in house, but it was a little salty. Still good. The only downside was the beverage station. I managed a restaurant for about two and a half years, and the most overlooked piece of equipment in every food establishment I ve visited is always the beverage station. You can see the black grime in the drip tray and the machine seems to be in need of service from Coca-Cola. Just a little bit of scrubbing and a tune up is all it needs. Other than that, the store was really clean and oraganozed. I had a very pleasant experience!

I went to this place because one of my sons wanted go. This was our first and last time going. First of all, the tattooed woman who over did it with her makeup was very rude. With the attitude she has she shouldnt be working in a customer service position. Second if all the food wasnt even that good and it us over priced. This was my first time going to freebirds and I did not have a good after experience. When I was there the server rushed me to where I felt like I missed out on making sure the food looked fresh. Long story short my son and I got really sick in the middle of the night. I take it something on that food selection was bad or wasnt very clean. Currently laying on my couch feeling drained due to throwing up and having diarrhea all night and not being able to eat anything because I feel queezy. Not a good experience at all.

Extremely slow service. This is my first time to go to this location. The line didnt move for 15 mins. Not sure why it was so slow with only 3 people in line. Think Ill pass on coming back here. The selection for toppings was really limited. All of the dressings were watered down to the consistency of milk. The steak looked gross. Like dog food. I got the prime rib or ribeye. I cant remember. It was the only meat that looked decent. So I paid $13 for a tiny bowl. Other burrito places do much better. Freebirds use to be good. What happened?? Check #220727224823195, dont waist your time with delivery the portions were child size and the veggies bowl had no grilled vegetables, barely any rice and they forgot to put on guacamole. The nacho chicken had 1 small queso, not even enough to cover the nachos which were as a childs portion. Lesson learned there is no way to fix huge issues with your order if you get delivery. Would have asked for my money back or at least watched to see that the order was correctly prepared.

The classic Freebirds vibe, but I did notice that the food wasn t as fresh as some other locations. The chicken and rice were cold, and the lettuce was soggy. Not terrible, but not the best experience I ve had at a Freebirds before. For the price it s a great quick bite, but to be honest I don t plan to come back to this specific location. I don t know if they have a new policy to cut servings literally in half or what but that s the case now. I literally had to ask for a little more of everything and then got hit with the we ll have to charge you extra . For what? For you to give me an actual full scoop of rice? A full scoop of COLD rice at that. The guy who warmed my tortilla up (mind you it was fresh out the pack cold) had to be new because he kept looking over to another employee for validation. Not sure what is going on with this location, but it just gets worse and worse every-time I go. The employees are rude, the place smells like a sewer, and the quality of the food has changed. Manager was rude. Asked for 2 corn tortillas because they fall apart so easy and told him I was willing to pay extra. He advised that they are using new tortillas and that would not be an issue. Are the employees being told to cut down on quantity? I ve been coming here for years and seen this place just go down slowly. Freebirds isn t what it use to be. First the environment changed, then, the quality of the food. The seasoning is inconsistent and most of the time, the rice is under cooked. Now, you have to ask the employees for an extra scoop of everything. It s like they re being trained to drastically cut down on portions and not being trained enough on preparing the food. My food didn t even come up halfway up the bowl. Don t even waste your time ordering online because they ll give you even less! Let s not forget about avoiding the chips and queso on the side. The chips are stale days old and they ll skimp that queso cup.

How unfortunate it is when a food store doesn t t have well-trained employees, employees who provide clear and correct information to customers, especially when this customer is visiting the store for the first time; Employees who, in addition to receiving payment for their time employed,could understand the mission of their work, which is a customer who feels happy and satisfied for the experience at this store and with the intention to come back. Unfortunately it wasn t the case; Almost 47 dollars for three taco bowls, just because their employees are not clear about their mission in this store, what an annoying situation.

Freebies are supposed to come with the burrito right? Wrong! Very disappointed in this free birds for wasting my time today. I came in on my lunch break to get the same burrito I get every time I go to freebirds. I had just enough to pay for a steak freebird with no extras. I got my four scoops of pico and onions and jalapeños like I always get but noticed the price of my burrito was about $4.50 more than I normally pay for it. When I inquired about the unusual price I was told freebirds policy changed and they have to charge extra if I get more than 2 scoops of the FREEbies. I asked if they could make an exception this time because there was no sign informing me of a policy change nor was I told when I asked for four scoops that I would have to pay extra. They said they could remake the burrito with only two scoops if I wanted to be charged regular price, at that point I didn t have time to wait for them to remake that burrito and get back to work. So instead of them just informing me I would have to pay more next time i went back to work hungry and watched that burrito go into the trash. Watching them throw that burrito away makes it seem like they weren t really worried about product cost but rather they were upset with me for getting more freebies than the usual customer. I am extremely frustrated, why are they called freebies if they aren t free with the burrito. If you wanna call them freebies at least put some tiny text on the sticker on the counter stating they are NOT free if I get more than two scoops, or tell me or something, jeez. Also I called 5 other location and all of them told me I could get as many scoops of all the veggies (not guacamole or cauliflower, which were not on my burrito) as I wanted without being charged extra. So I don t know what is up with this location, I thought it was a corporation and I could expect the same thing from every location but I guess not. Don t come to this location if you re planning on staying a freebirds fan.

Wasn t sure what to eat for dinner but glad the family decided on Freebirds!!! Eli, Madison, Vincent and Kenneth are extremely friendly and provided us great service. They ran out of refried beans while making the first out of our four burritos but they made sure to quickly bring out a fresh batch to make sure we all got our burritos made the right way!!! Needless to say we will only be visiting this location!!!

We used to have a location in central CA for a few years until it closed and I loved it! I came to Houston on a business trip and was shocked to see Freebirds here (apparently they closed all CA locations?). The food tasted every bit as good as I remember. I ordered the nachos with pork and loaded them up. Huge portions for the price. The chips are perfectly salted, meat is tender, flavorful, and very juicy.

The food is great. But the management is not. Ive been going for years and ordering basically the same thing. However I dont think Ive ever paid the same price twice. The staff constantly changes and they are not always trained right. Managment changes the rules and policies all the time. The only reason I go here is there is none closer to me. They use to have a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Now it is dull and void of character. Alot of the artwork and custom stuff is long gone. If you can choose another location.
