Mr. Aldape represented me for over two years in my divorce case, and although he is a personable guy and someone you wouldn t mind having a few beers with, his representation was lacking and very similar to most other poor quality attorneys. Don t let the fact that he s also a judge fool you into thinking that he s actually an effective attorney. If you re looking for aggressive and responsive representation, you better look elsewhere. I never felt like Bernie really cared about my case, and he even said as much in citing other priorities as the reason calls and messages weren t returned. In the end, I was left hanging, closing out needed paperwork on my own, and told that I needed to assert myself . There s no way I could recommend a guy like this, and there s more to say but I m trying to not get nasty.

I hired attorney Bernardo Aldape after self representing my self. Many attorneys didn t want to take my case because of that and the short time to prep for trial. I made lots of mistakes and my exhibits were not being accepted and needed experience helped fast. He was kind since the first interaction and gave me his honest opinion on my case. Without him I would have lost my custody trial, with less than 8 days to prep he did an amazing job and was able to correct all my errors and win the case for me. It played out just as he said it would, and made the opposing counsel look like a rookie. He is really good at trial, he told me since day one many attorneys try to solve everything in mediation to not go to trial. But he said he was good at trial and enjoyed it. And it was very true. I noticed in trial you have to be a quick thinker and the legal mind to fix my mistakes. I highly recommend attorney Aldape, he won this case for me. And if you need a trial lawyer he was great for me. I m sure he would be for you too. I wouldn t recommend self representing, although I had other legal advice to help me self represent. It was clearly a big mistake in my case. Go with a pro! And Attorney Aldape is really good!

I hired the lawyer here, Bernie..he made it happen not going to lie. Job well done! Only reason why Im giving 4 stars is the communication from him is almost impossible to get him to respond, Ive sent messages and it literally takes months to get him to answer...Ive left messages and its a question of luck to get a call back...

Hired him to put myself on child support, everything was good with getting my rights and the amount I was gonna pay. 2 weeks before we went to court and finalize the final order I told him I lost my job and got another job somewhere else making way less money that I was making. I told him we needed to modify the amount and fix it because I wasn t gonna be able to pay that. He told me first we need to close the case, and then after we can modify it so the case got closed. A few days later I went to his office and told him when can we start the paper work for the modification, he said I no longer represent you, you need to hire another lawyer or do it through the child support office. He didn t do his job to fix things after I lost my job. I wouldn t recommend this guy.
