Passing through Odessa and stopped in at Longhorn, which is my go-to when traveling. I arrived at 12.30p and the found the restaurant busy, and there were several large groups seated. This is clearly a popular choice for locals. That s always a good sign. I ordered the chicken wing appetizer and a ground sirloin steak with a Cesar salad for lunch. Compared to other LongHorn restaurants I have been to, these chicken wings were average in appearance, seasoning, size and quantity. The Cesar salad was ok, and the ground sirloin steak was served plain on a plate, with a piece broken off. I asked for the mushroom gravy on the side, but never got it. I was hungry for lunch and this meal hit the spot, but it was not a typical LongHorn quality visit.

We ve been here twice and both times our waitress has been in such a hurry that she couldn t hardly help us, everything was rushed. And then she begins to tell us about her personal life and how the manager here doesn t care about her. This last time we were here, we waited over 30 minutes to order and then the waitress closed out our ticket before we even got the food. I didn t want to tip her but I felt pressured to because she was standing over me waiting for me to hand her back the receipt.

Well as many times that we have are there, went in and sit at our normal table in the bar & the last probably manager told us the the table at bar were not open, She said it has always been like that but we know better we have sit there before and other people have also, she said that she would make a exception and ask the bartender if she would serve us we set there another 15 minutes and finally got up and went to another restaurant, So I will just just my wife and I and with drinks probably spend 60 to 70 dollars at visit, They were not busy less than 10 in restaurant at the time all the bartender wanted is stand and talk to the one and only guy at the bar and ignore us, So for this you lost business & maybe for good I can spend my money at some other restaurant, Labor days 2024.

I d give 0 stars if possible. It took 45 minutes to get our salads then our steak came 10 minutes later after we asked when we were going to get them. My uncles salad was on a regular plate and when the waitress sat it down on the table his lettuce went everywhere and she just walked away. Our steaks were all (7 of us) EXTREMELY undercooked and we sent a couple back for them to return looking the exact same. The fried okra wasn t cooked thoroughly, a couple of us asked for 8oz sirloins and they brought us 6oz ones because they didn t have any 8oz. We received refills once the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there due to waiting 30-45 minutes for a table then 45 minutes for our salads and 10 more for our steaks. We asked to speak to a manager and the guy came and said there wasn t anything he could do about it because he s temporarily here for the week because this restaurant is chaos. We were still charged for our meals with no discounts even with the terrible service, food, and complaints that continuously racked up. We had high hopes for our visit but will not be returning again.

Where do we start . There was hair in the food, they decided to clean the grease trap out during lunch which causes a horrible sewer smell, all of the drinks tasted terrible Dr. Pepper, tea, water and lemonade (everyone s drink at the table). Asked to switch out the drinks for something bottled because their filter system is trash. They offered sparkling water but it was hot, someone tried to order a bud light and they said they were out and hadn t received any deliveries in 2 weeks. Also, food (shrimp) came out very cold, I had chicken and it was gross. Asked to speak to a manager and he left us waiting and waiting until well after the waitress apologized. Manager looked like he was maintenance, very dirty and very unbothered by anything. He gave us a $10 discount. So go at your own risk, this place is disgusting.

First time coming to any Longhorn steakhouse anywhere. I usually always go to Saltgrass but I decided to give it a try. If I could post 5 stars just for service I would. The bartender Michael was very nice and helpful. The food itself was not the greatest. The steak itself wasn t bad but originally I d ordered it with lobster, rice, and corn on the cob. 10 mins after ordering I was told they were out of lobster which why staff wasn t notified before hand idk, but they put shrimp in its place on the house. I got my food with the corn completely burnt and no rice, being told they were out of that as well. Instead ordered Mac and cheese and asparagus which were not bad but a little dry on both. Only real good things I have to say about Longhorn are the service from Michael was awesome, cheesecake was real good, and the steak itself was not bad but not any better or worse than Texas Roadhouse in my opinion. Maybe I ll give it another try later on or at a different location; but other than the service from Michael, I was not impressed with this one.

Ate dinner here on my birthday. They started out by being out of everything I ordered. We were served appetizer and salads with no silverware. Most things messed up were via the kitchen. Our waitress was very nice and tried really hard. The only thing she could have done better was keep our drinks from going empty. Our experience was definitely lacking.

It is always a hit-or-miss here at the Odessa location. I almost always order the same plate and always give the same instructions. I order the New York strip (MR), broccoli with extra veggie sauce, side of brussel sprouts cooked well but not charred beyond edibility, and two grilled jalapenos. When they are not busy, my food is usually done right. When they are busy, its usually a disappointment!

So we have this place another chance and we re seated right away. I was in the mood for a good ribeye steak. I figured I was in for a treat since Steakhouse is the name of this restaurant. I was disappointed with the flavor of my steak. I had to end up adding salt and pepper to my ribeye. The rest of my party thought their meals were also just OK. Also disappointed with the sweet tea. I feel like it was made with tap water instead of filtered water. I will continue to get a good ribeye from Chedders. I will try a different meal on the menu next time.

Me and my wife have had multiple dates here and it is always perfect. Staff is very hospitable and attentive, the drinks our beyond excellent and appetizers are so delicious, its easy to get full right off the start. I even took my employees here for an appreciation dinner and even though there was 9 people they handled it perfectly. The Odessa location is by far one of the best places to eat, not only for convenience but for the prices as well. I must say they go beyond expectations of any dine in restaurants in the local areas.

This seems to be a common trend across the United States now not being able to get enough employees. No fault to the restaurant. No one wants to work. Showed up on a Dead Wednesday with the family and was told it would be 25 to 30 min. Others were waiting and thought it odd but ok. Then we decide to get to go thinking it was maybe a lack of wait staff, but then they seated everyone and all the people after us told 5 min. Never came up to us sitting in front of hostess saying anything. Real weird deal man. Ok after waiting 10 min, watched a single guy walk up for a table and the guy tells him 20 to 25 minute wait and the guy leaves after seeing the empty tables. The host and server Alyssa are extremely friendly and professional!! Alyssa my server was on point and always making sure I was ok. Lemon water is my favorite and she had my glass filled 100%. New crew having to learn the ropes in just two weeks, Id say that they did a really great job. Steak was good, dessert was good, and after being seated, everything came out in a timely manner. Really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake and the price for 6 people was not bad either Keep up the good work. Update, after well over a year open, everything is still great. Food, service, and atmosphere are spot on. If you havent given them a try, I highly recommend them. Update... I still recommend this place but the prices are a little bit higher now. It had so much seasoning that it was burning inside my ears. Lucky for me I got a gift card for Christmas and this dinner didnt cost me anything. Dietary restrictions: The steak seasoning probably gave me high blood pressure.

Went for anniversary. Booth we were seated at had large tear in upholstery. $70 for 2 12oz ribeyes with one quarter of them fat. Asked for Heinz 57 and was brought an empty bottle, asked for another and that one was empty also. Waitress brought four more over, all empty. I can not recommend this place.

If you pick up a to-go order, check your bag before you leave. Nothing like getting home with salads with no salad dressing. I didnt think I needed to treat the workers at Longhorns like Mcdonalds workers but apparently, I do. Edit: 12/09/2023 Just got home with my first order since this last review and I kid you not, another salad with no dressing. And chicken fingers with no dipping sauce. I didnt follow my own instructions so I deserve what I get. In short, this place still blows.

Love this place!! It s a great atmosphere and the food is delicious!! It s my husband s favorite place to eat steak. He says it just melts in your mouth. I love the country fried chicken and there s always enough for two full meals. Perfect for special occasions and for a simple brunch with friends. Whatever your needs are this is the place. Had a Suprise party for my husband here and it was fabulous!

UNBELIEVABLE! This is a first.... at 4:39pm I go inside looking forward to sitting down at a table relax and enjoy a meal. I was asked to sit in the bar section because nobody was around to serve tables in the dining area. Okay fine. So I went into the bar section and sat at one of the high tables. There was one table in the dining area where people were sitting at. And then there was a couple who also sat down at one of the high tables in the bar area. I needed a menu so I got up and asked the hosted guy for a menu. He gives me a menu and proceeds to ask me to sit at the bar and not the high table which is right next to the bar. Of course I gave the menu back and f...ing left. Here I am at a so called restaurant to have dinner and I cant sit at any g..d.nm table to enjoy a meal. So to all of you people who would like to have dinner at longhorn steakhouse prior to 5pm, expect to literally sit at the bar with the rest of the alcoholics. This town sucks!

Short staffed or incompetent servers. We were made to wait forever. Parking: Once again, whoever was in charge of parking lot should be fired. This is Texas, parking lots here need to be made to accommodate trucks. There was plenty of parking but its too crowded for trucks. Need more room for trucks. TRUCKS, TRUCKS, TRUCKS. get it! Texas has plenty of real-estate or land.
