I made a deposit on 7611 Purple Vitex in March 2024 with target closing in May 2024. After starting the final stage builder walkthroughs, I raised several concerns about door entries, floors and room intersections not being straight. I asked to transfer to another unit with the same floorplan but I was attempted to be upsold instead. I informed Dustin that I would not be closing on any home until management/leadership became involved with my situation. I asked for a follow up from management several times but I never got an acknowledgement to my concern or received a follow up. Initial communications were responsive up until I presented my concerns and requested for the situation to be escalated. I definitely dodged a bullet after this experience. Please perform a thorough inspection yourself or hire an external inspector before closing at D.R. Horton.

Sales process was great, now that I m in the house I have had more issues then I care to count and the warranty process is a joke while the warranty super doesn t respond or coordinate repairs efficiently. My showers is torn to pieces due to previous poor workmanship causing the tiles to crack. With the slow progress they have made there s no telling when I will get to use my shower again and the construction workers make the biggest mess with no regards of other peoples belongings.
