This office all of the folks that I spoke with were very helpful, caring and above all very professional I wish to thank them all for all they did in getting my treatment started. I have seen other gastroenterologists that I can say he easily surpassed. Marcene Wheeler

I recommend Dr. Chakrala to all my friends and family. My mother-n-law came into the hospital with a critical problem and he explained what procedures he would be doing. Once the procedures were over he explained the findings in a way we could understand. His staff is great as well, they along with Dr. Chakrala are very professional and respond back quickly if my wife or family has any questions for my mother-n-laws care.

I rarely write bad reviews but it might help someone else. First, dont get your bloodwork from the hospital lab that he recommends. It cost me $500 extra for facility fees. My sons spleen was enlarged and he refused to listen to my research that showed this could be the cause of my sons blood disorder. I even faxed him the info. My son had 2 years of unsuccessful treatment from a Hemotologist because of his enlarged spleen. He was doing pre-ops for a bone marrow transplant he didnt need. Once the specialist in Dallas (who wasnt even a gastroenterologist) realized he had the enlarged spleen, he had it removed and everything returned to normal. Dr. Chakrala let his ego get in the way of helping his patient. Very passive-aggressive.

I recently moved to West Texas for grad school. Ive had Crohns disease for 7 years, so I know the condition pretty well now. I went for an initial visit to Dr. Chakrala and he was rude, had a serious god-complex, and didnt even bother to examine me. Absolutely inconsiderate of the patient and their input into how they want to manage their medical condition. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for medical treatment. He is without a doubt the worst doctor Ive ever seen.
