This is a very nice area, but some of the roofs are destroyed as well as some fences, people still take glass bottles even when there are signs stating they are not allowed, we also saw a lot of metal caps near the shore. The su set is beatiful. Please keep it clean. Basketbalk court needs maintenance!

Very good place to take the family and enjoy some sun and water. Plenty of water in 2024 but maybe too much? Some of the pavilions are still almost under water. Some have no access due to water on the road. At the main site everything is open and working. All the BBQ stands are operational. The swimming area is marked off and the boats stay away so no issues for younger children. Playground: Small outside playground but very hot. Toilets: Restroom is open and clean. Picnic area: Picnic area have BBQ stands and some have covered tables.

Sign at the entrance says there is a fee for use but there is no way to pay. Claims the only way to access the park legally is via an app. Park is flooded right now any way, most of the picnic tables are under water.

Beautiful place to share with loved ones. There is a nice paved walking-bike trail that runs along side the lake. Plenty of shade and natural beauty.

I thought this was a really great park with a great view of the lake. I visited on the day of the eclipse. I arrived a little before the park opened and spoke with a couple of park staff. They were very friendly and helped me with the payment process. $5 for the day which I thought was a good deal. Several covered picnic tables and lots of open space. Bathrooms were clean. Didn t walk down to the water s edge but from what I could see the park was very clean. Will definitely visit again.

Typically a great place for me to spend time. I usually go around 10am to noon or just pass so I can t say how it may be thereafter or during busy times. Water is down everywhere but this has made for a vast soft sand beach for the most part. Nearly feels like being oceanfront. Clean enough, but I see that more as lake goers duty than park personnel.

The park itself is nice and a great place to swim. however, everytime I go I pick up trash after people. The problem is with the parks waste management. Yes they have dumpsters, but they are so far away from where people are. This is part of the trashy problem. They need to get 50 gallon barrels and place them along the Beach part of the lake. This way people are less inclined to just leave garbage everywhere. Also, they need the barrels at the pavillions too for the same reason. The signs say no glass, yet it is everywhere there including in the water. I enjoy swimming there I just wish they had better clean up patrols.

Just to many people in general.. Playground: Theyve a few but look poorly shaded. Toilets: The several buildings (6+) scattered throughout the park are split in half resulting in.. 6 M and 6F restrooms total. Ive always found them to be clean. Dog-friendliness: Sure.. Is your dog friendly though? Picnic area: Theyve picnic tables with awnings over them, that provide some of the scant shade available (Sans umbrella) at park. It is unfortunate how low lake appears to be as is a LONG walk from car to water!

Love this place. I just wish there was a restroom closer to where we like to hang out. Not enough parking either. Toilets: No enough around this area but usually clean and stocked with TP. Dog-friendliness: Usually, people are responsible and keep their dogs leashed. Picnic area: Havent used them, but each one has a BBQ and a covered picnic table.

Veteran friendly. I paid nothing to get in. Definitely want to wear water shoes. The lake is filled with beer cans/bottles and such. Overall, the boats abide by the rules of how close they can get to the shoreline so it makes it safe to swim. (No lifeguard so swim at your own risk) Great place to go walking and look at the beautiful scenery.

Gorgeous views coupled with a pleasant breeze make for comfortable scenic walks. Restrooms were pretty well kept. Four stars due to the amount of broken glass in the areas where the water had receded. As it is a lake, that made me nervous about letting my dog go down near the water. Id highly recommend beach shoes to anyone wanting to go in and swim to avoid cuts or punctures.
