My wife and I went here for our 10 year anniversary. With that being said it usually takes a lot for me to leave a review on a place, but honestly this place is so expensive I wanted to save some other young adults some money if they are looking to take their spouse or partner out for a special occasion. We showed up at 6:45 for our reservation that I made on open table, we were sat promptly in the area directly to the left past the bar. The ambiance and aesthetic of this area was very dark, dreary, with this terrible eye bothering yellow lighting that makes you feel like youre in a dream. We were greeted by our server and his assistant, both gentlemen were very respectful and kind, I did expect a little bit more attention since there were two of them, there were multiple times my water stayed empty, not a big deal but again, this place is extremely expensive so I was expecting the best. We both ordered the Filet 6oz and got the salad with ranch and a side order of the jalapeño mac and cheese. I ordered mine medium rare and my wife got medium well, I enjoyed my steak but my wife thought hers was a little overdone. Because we had waited a little bit for our food she did not want to send it back due to not being able to enjoy our food together. Also the salad made me giggle due to it being a half a head of lettuce chopped right down the middle with dressing poured on it. My total for 2 small steaks and one small thing of mac and cheese and WATERS, came out to $116 and over $130 due to tipping. I will say a positive is that they gave us a free desert for our anniversary and this was probably the greatest part of the night. Also, when everything was said and done we used the restroom before leaving the establishment, only to discover the rest of the restaurant was actually pretty lovely and we were just sat in a terrible area. So if you do go there ask to be sat in the larger room with the higher ceiling, I think this alone would have changed our entire evening. Parking: Barely any public parking spots, did have to circle around a few times to find a spot. Ended up parking in a lot we werent supposed to but got lucky and no ticket when we came out.

Nothing less than 5 stars We were celebrating our son s 25th bday and it couldn t have been better! The host staff immediately welcomed us and extended bday wishes and we were seated right away. (Yes, we made reservations) Our server was Mike and he was very helpful in guiding our choices. The escargot was especially delicious! I chose to do soup du jour and salad and Mike suggested I get the half order of wedge salad which was perfect! Hubby got the mixed grill and my son got the filet with jalapeño Mac and cheese. It was all so very good!! And they comped a bday dessert which we very much appreciated. Yes, it was pricey. And YES! It is worth it, occasionally.

My husband and Is first time here! We came for our anniversary and it was SO delicious! The atmosphere was very romantic with dim lighting as well! The Cesar salad is huge as well which is great for sharing! We DEFINITELY recommend asking your waiter what they recommend if youve never been! Ours gave great tips and the food was beyond expectations! 10/10!!! They even have us a complimentary dessert for our special occasion!! They also didnt overly check on us as well! They were very respectful of our date and wonderful service overall!! Definitely be one of our date night spots forsure!

We arrived at our reservation time and was seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and took care of our every need. I ordered the Surf and Turf which came with a Filet cooked medium for me and Lobster Tail and I added three Shimp. My wife ordered the 8 oz filet cooked well done. I know the travesty lol. The entree came with a lettuce wheel and we ordered the Green Beans and scallop potatoes for our sides and there was plenty of each to share. The food came out quickly and was good and hot unfortunately my wifes steak was not well done as ordered and had to be sent back so I was going to either have to wait and let my food get cold or start eating while she waited for her steak to come back out. She insisted that I go ahead and start eating knowing seafood is just not as good cold. When her steak came out it was as ordered and was outstanding just a shame it didnt come out the way she ordered it initially. As for mine I had no complaints it was very tender and flavorful. The green beans could have been seasoned a little better and the scallop potatoes were good but for us they could have been a little more creamy. The fresh bread was excellent and they even threw in a free desert since it was our anniversary. Overall a good experience but because of the food coming out wrong and us not being able to eat at the same time I had to take that into consideration.

I ve lived in Texas (from Canada) for just over a year and since moving here i have dedicated at least 2 days each week to searching for the tastiest ribeyes. 30lbs heavier I finally moved to New Braunfels and went to Myron s Prime. I m not going to go into elaborate details trying to sound like I m a food critic, so all I ll say is that if you re serious about your steak don t bother with anywhere else and just go there. Quite possibly the best ribeye I ve ever had. Not just the steak, but the rest of the food was incredible as well. To make it all complete the amazing service exceeded anywhere else I ve been in a very long time. Will be coming back often for sure!

My husband and I went here for our 5th anniversary. The service was beyond our expectations. The food, service, and promptness were simply amazing. The low lights and candles were romantic and the whole experience was peaceful. My husband and I had not had a date in 4 years because our child was ill. This was a breath of fresh air for us to just go and enjoy our time together. Even if the food was terrible just being there was amazing. However, the food was great!! My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Our server was pretty attentive if not helpful when we were pouring through the wine list and menu. Pretty much all their appetizers are shellfish, which my wife is allergic to, which was disappointing. The bread we were served was very blah and clearly a Pre-made frozen roll. We split a French onion soup for an appetizer. It was just ok. My wife got a side salad. When it came out I could not believe it. The plate presentation was ghastly. I was shocked that a restaurant this nice would serve that. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the quality was very good. I got a side of Brussels which were a little salty and underwhelming. My wife got mashed potatoes which were again OK, nothing special. The dried parsley flake garnish on the plates was a bit much. Its not 1984 anymore. Overall, ehh. Steaks were good but nothing about the experience makes me want to run out and go again.

My hubby and I are food/steak snobs. J-Prime, Bohannans, 18 Oaks - we were skeptical of Myron s due to the reviews. We even reserved and cancelled several times. So glad we tried it. By far exceeded our expectations. Omg the Myron Martini was so refreshing, the sides were better than the best, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, mushrooms. We ordered a strip steak which was a little tough but the seared crust was the best flavor. Our waiter Steven replaced it with a rib eye which was perfect. Our new go to. No more drives to San Antonio! Steven was great!

The absolute best scallops Ive ever had! The filet and shrimp were excellent, as well. Definitely order the Myrons butter when theres a choice. Watch your food, though! The guy clearing tables was a bit conscientious and took our salad away before we were finished eating. LOL The only suggestion I would make is maybe serve a bread basket or at least a seasoned butter. Regardless, we will be back!!

Off the top this is one of our favorite restaurants in new Braunfels and the best steak in town. The martinis were cold and the Vesper martini with half vodka and half gin hit just right. Start with the seared peppers tuna and the shrimp Myron drowned in butter sauce. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Rare and medium rare is where it s at. The mushroom side dish slapped and would highly recommend. Crème bruleee was exceptional and melt in your mouth yum. Austin hope wine for dinner topped off a great night.

Feb 2024 -As regular customer over the years Myrons has been our family go to restaurant. I can honestly say with experience that the food has gone DOWNHILL. We just celebrated and the bill was $800. I refused to let the smaller portions of everything (except salad), cold dry bread, the dried hard inside edges of the over baked potato, and over-fatty steak ruin my party. I am very disappointed. First time to Myron s. We heard it s one of the best steak houses in New Braunfels. The atmosphere was not very eye catching, pretty plain. Very low lighting. We had a ribeye (22 oz). The steak was good, but no wow factor really. Disappointed that all you get for $72 steak was wedge salad. Additional side like vegetables or potatoes were $10-12. Dessert, however was exceptional. I am a crème brûlée lover and try to taste them at all restaurants I go to. Definitely one of the best. We also had a bread pudding with bourbon sauce and a Myron s dessert coffee to top it off. Our server was very personable and attentive, he made our experience enjoyable.

We spent over 500$ for our group. The cake was so-so. Saltgrass has a much better chocolate cake, larger too. The asparagus was so tuff we could not eat it. One of the steaks came out bleeding, we had to send it back. We were there for 2 hours plus, but was rushed out closer to closing. We will never be back. First time at Myrons and definitely wont be the last! We first parked in the rear where there were additional parking spots. This is just in case you can not find parking across the street in the dedicated lot for Post Annex. When walking in, youre first greeted by the hostess stand and a nice lobster tank with live lobsters in the tank. We were then seated in a nice area to the left of the bar, which then I realized, this place is huge! We had a wonderful dinner service thanks to our server RJ. This guy was a stand-up gentleman through and through. Not only was he polite, but he was courteous and attentive, and his follow up and follow through were impeccable! It was my father in laws and brother in laws birthday and he made it a point to share the dessert menu and even light candles for singing happy birthday. Stand up guy, and what a great representation of his character and the restaurant! Will definitely come back again and if you do go, ask for RJ. Your night will be amazing to say the least! I make a reservation ahead of time. I show up, theres a lot of empty tables, but they put me and the person im with next to a huge group of loud ladies celebrating something. Thats awesome but I could not hear the person I was with. They moved us tables and didnt bring back our bread. Our salads arrived, so we asked for bread. The food arrives and they take everything off the table including the bread. My steak was rare, I ordered medium rare, The plate was sizzling hot and I could not take a bite of the steak. It was so hot it burned to my mouth. I asked for them to make it medium rare, They brought it back medium well and tooo hot to eat, I burned my mouth. During this time, im eating the sides I ordered, the buster repeatedly asked if he could box the food as im actively eating, which I told him that. During this time, not once, have they asked the other person if they would like a refill on thier drink. I never saw the manager. And the server said that they would recook a new stake. After I was done eating all my food the steak comes. Once again, the plate is scalding hot. And so is the steak unable to eat it. I got the bread pudding that was hard. I think they cook it in like a muffun tin. This restaurant was horrible the food was horrible and the service was too. I dont know where the manager was, obviously he wasnt doing his job. I would never go back and I suggest everyone to stay clear. The only thing I liked was the jalapeno mac and cheese.

Great service. Sides taste great (mashed taters). Steaks have good flavor. Its a little pricy, considering you can get a similar flavored steak at Texas Roadhouse. But nice to go for an anniversary dinner or the like as we did. Parking: Two prime time restaurants next to each other and street or lot parking can definitely take a few laps to find a spot.

Yes, their filet is as tender as they come. The starter bread was a warm and soft white loaf, easy to fill up on. The included salad is pretty basic, a slice of iceberg topped with dressing. However, you can order additional toppings (bacon, tomato, blue cheese crumbles) for $2 ea. The food arrived quickly and we quickly cut into our filets and my little 6 oz was black and blue perfection. The temperature of everyone elses steaks were also accurate. The favorite side on our table was hands down the jalapeno Mac with just the right amount of zing. The broccoli au gratin and scalloped potatoes, were delicious and arrived topped with copious amounts of real melted cheese. I personally wasnt impressed with the mushrooms, not browned enough and under seasoned, but the rest of the table raved about them. Of our three desserts, the creme brulee was the winner and one of the creamiest with a strong vanilla flavor. The cheesecake was very dense, and less sweet than most but it works out well with the super sweet berry topping. Our third dessert was vanilla ice cream, and um, yeah. The service is very good, Colby was attentive and courteous throughout our dinner. The drawbacks: no beer on tap, no prime rib, and youre on your own for parking. Plan to spend ~$120 pp

My husband and I most favorite restaurant in New Braunfels. Food is always delicious, quality. We ve eaten at many steakhouses all around US and Myrons is still always top 3 for their filet. They also make an incredible dirty martini w/ blue cheese olives. Service is always great. Can t go wrong with a dinner here!

Okay place to eat, next time Ill ask for light seasoning or no salt on my steakn, the salt was over powering at times. The slice of lettuce is a nice touch and is enjoyable. I dont think it has a Michelin star, but I wouldnt be surprised if they were close to getting one star at least. Also would be nice if the meal wasnt so a la carte, the menu kind of feels like hot super customizable, after youve been on the road for 20 or 30 hours, and all you want is a good steak figuring out all the sides and dishes to put together, becomes impossible cuz youre just too tired to read through the whole menu more than once, making pairing a decent meal all but impossible. Also their wine selection, and pairing is pretty good while I didnt take any of the servers recommendations, they at least seem to have some sort of sommelier whos guiding or coaching them on key points and what pairs well to specific meals.

Let me start by saying this place was outstanding, and would be able to make it in any City in the country. However it is in small downtown New Braunfels. The food was absolutely excellent, I dont have one single negative thing to say about the food, my ribeye was cooked to perfection and the veggies and sides were also perfect. The service was outstanding very personable and knowledgeable. Even the young guys that came around filling up the water and the bread were social and friendly. The atmosphere was nice except it was pretty dark, I guess that would be my only critique at all about my entire experience. Well, it was very pricey, but you get what you pay for and we definitely got an experience so I highly recommend if youre going out for a special occasion and youre in the area, definitely go here!

BEWARE. TDLR; low quality with a high price. Go to Austin for a steakhouse experience. Full Review: We ordered the bone in ribeye medium-rare, it arrived medium-well so they took it back and brought a new one which was then properly cooked, but it didn t have a bone in it there was literally a 0.5 chard so we informed our server that we ordered bone-in who only said that some of them are cut that way and basically it is what it is. Anywhere else would have removed the item from our bill or at least reduced the charge to a boneless ribeye which was significantly less expensive. My brothers steak was also undercooked admittedly less of an issue as they just cooked it more. The 3 other dishes we had were cooked properly, though none met the quality standard to merit the price Myron s charged. We enjoy dining at high-end steakhouses but needless to say we will not return to this one.

The expos don t give you your food and just set it next to you so you can watch it get cold or serve it to yourself while you wait for your server. Weird ambiance. My husband and I come to Myron s very frequently whether it s a date night or special occasion and enjoy there food very much ! We always spend $$$$ when we go since we always start off with drinks at the bar before our dinner reservations . Since we are loyal customers , We frequently receive a coupon for buy one entree and get one free ; we have never had any issues with the manager not approving it based on the location . This time when we went to new Braunfels location the manager was rude and very bluntly said no I will not honor this at this location and turned his back really quick ; when in the past they always have accepted the coupon . Probably will not be going back to this location . The manager is not kind . We are loyal customers and didn t deserve the rudeness . Our server was very kind and attentive and the food was outstanding , however .

I ordered two sides for my steak. My girlfriend ordered two sides for her steak. -Dont do this unless you want to and can take home a LOT OF FOOD! We had two different people ask to take plates while we were still eating and one plate was removed altogether without asking (still food on it that we planned on eating). Date night for an upcoming anniversary in NB this past Friday. Myrons was an impromptu choice. I keep seeing raves about the ambiance but it didnt come across to us as good ambiance. My husband ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was perfect mid-rare. Shrimp were a bit over. My salmon was delicious. I dont think 3 stars would be right but 4 stars is a bit generous for a steak house that tries to make a wedge of iceberg lettuce sound like a high end dining salad. It didnt taste bad but I actually enjoy a salad with multiple veggies not a wedge of one of the cheapest lettuces you can buy. Our server was attentive and pleasant.

Myron s is a quality fine dining steakhouse experience. The steak wasn t the best I ve had for the money, but still delicious. The sides and customer service however more than made up for it. My only other criticism would be that in the evenings when I ve been it is a very dimly lit. This can be rather annoying for people who wish to see their setting and food.

We went to Myron s on Saturday night and it was quite disappointing. The service was extremely poor. The food was marginal for the price point, for their prices the overall experience should be exceptional. I won t drag this out but here s the highlights of failures. We were seated quick (big positive), then it s hill from there. We sat at our table and immediately a young man gave us bread and a glass of water (great job) he said I m here to help you server is there anything you need and we said yes how about a drink sorry can t do that but your server can. 10 mins later our server says sorry I ll be right with you. Another 10 mins go by and he finally returns. We order two drinks off their drink menu. My wife orders a strawberry drink once again off the menu. We don t see our waiter again with our drinks for 15 mins. My drink is correct and he brings my wife a glass of bourbon on the rocks (nothing close to what she ordered. He disappears again for 10 mins I ask him what drink is this and he said that s what you ordered. Nope we order the strawberry drink, oh yea sorry I ll get it for you. We ordered dinner. Guess what again gone for 15 mins no drink. He brings our salads with wrong dressing, I said forget it give me mine and he says I ll be back with my wife s with correct dressing. When he gets back we ask about our drink he says the bar is backed up. Only problem we walked right by the bar and it was very slow. (I was a bar tender many years ago). Our food shows up and we tell our waiter forget the drink we ll just eat dinner and go. He says no problem and brings the drink and says don t worry we won t charge you for it and I ll take off one of the sides for the inconvenience tonight. We finish dinner the food was just ok (about like Outback steak house) we ask for the check and guess what. He charged us for the drink but did take one vegetables off the bill. My wife said forget it, it will take him another 15 mins to correct the bill and I want to get out of here. So we just paid and left. I would not recommend eating here the service is terrible for this price point and the food is marginal. Go to Montana Mikes of Outback and enjoy your dinner. We will never return.
