The park is divided into two parks and is connected by a shuttle bus. However, they dont tell you that, and once you find out in the afternoon you just buy a day ticket for the next day for $80. It was very crowded and you had to wait 2 hours to go on a slide. You can like it, you dont have to. Payment by card or Apple Pay is only possible throughout the park, which meant that everyone had to hang a waterproof bag around their neck to carry their card and/or cell phone. We stayed overnight in the water house which was part of the park but outside the grounds. It turned out that we could have stayed in a Super 8 Motel for a quarter of the price. The accommodation was really substandard so we decided to cancel the second night we had actually booked. Conclusion: We check this excursion off as an experience! We will also not recommend or promote this park.

Resort noted as cabins but just location off property. It was a renovated office building. It was very close to the park and I liked that we had a different access location. We were at the west side of the park. It was a different experience and as various family went, we made it work. We would likely be back. The good part was the included passes and some extended park hours. If you are coming to ride the attractions I guess get the fast pass lane otherwise you will be in the lines for hours. I do like that you can being in your own food and a cooler. Overall it was good but you know there could always be improvements. The website does dot prepare you for the cabin experience but live and learn. It good thing is that our parking had shade and that was a plus. Rooms: Well we had a 2 room unit with a kitchen that was good. Baths slightly dated but ok Nearby activities: It is near other areas and parks and a downtown. Golf nearby. There is a resort shuttle. Safety: We did not experience any security concerns Walkability: As with most parks be prepared to walk and some up and down areas Food and drinks: Some good swim up bars available. Pricey drinks. Noteworthy details: We did have fun in the lazy rivers.

It seems like the park oversold the fast pass option. For every person they let on the slide, 5-10 people with fast pass got to go bed for them. The lines were so ridiculously long, we only got to ride 3 slides the entire day. Not sure Ill return.

Pros: rooms are very close to the west park and there is a shuttle a block away that takes you to the east park. The lobby staff were knowledgeable and nice, as were the bus drivers. Cons: I called about a coffee maker that was backed up with coffee grounds. I had set coffee to make and went to go run an errand and it got coffee everywhere. I left a few hours later to go to the park came back and found a coffee pot. (Not the maker just the pot) Also the refrigerator was leaking water. There wasnt any room service at all... Like I dont really care about if the beds are made all that much, but damn for $300+ a night you could take out the trash . They shouldnt get away with calling it a resort its a Budget 8 that gets away with charging high rates because its next to the park.

Owners have changed , would not recommend anymore and we ve come for forever . Tube chutes are closed at the end of rides . You have to wear life jackets in the wave pool making it hard to keep your balance and you swollen way more water . People were smoking weed at the resort in front of my kids . Even the staff knew customers weren t going to be happy with the new rules . Like come on Schlitterbahn has way more experience in water parks than six flags ever could leave some things the same of don t buy it ! Rooms: Roomy but missing pots pans and utinsils they normally have and they switched to bath and body works shampoo and conditioner which aren t the greatest after a day of chlorine Nearby activities: Blacks bbq and the comal river and San Marcos River Safety: Too safe now they more afraid of getting sued than they are making sure people are enjoying the attraction and it s getting in the way Walkability: Same old same old Food and drinks: Always expensive but they were out of everything by like 3 pm Noteworthy details: They don t have capacity at park entrance but capacity for each ride which doesn t make sense . Friday we we re waiting in lines for regular swimming pools

Im really disappointed in our rooms. We were 2 blocks away from the resort entrance. We have been coming to Sclitterbahn for decades and have never stayed outside the resort. The reason for paying the extra, extra price is for the convenience of being to go back to our room if we like and still be right at the waterpark. This was not the case with our recent location. Well think hard and long before we stay at the resort again.

It was a dream of ours to stay on resort for our family vacation. We had a blast at all of the parks and stayed at the SCHLITTERSTEIN LOFTS. These are really nice condos but the bathroom showers need a good deep clean. They are tiled with river rock and could use one of those TikTok power tool cleanings in every corner. We decided to invest in the fast passes because the lines were so long for the rides even with the early entry for resort guests. I would really like to see a package deal with the fast passes and cabanas at some of the higher end rooms. That would be worth it.

What a nice resort. The movie night with popcorn and smores was great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. 4 star for the room only because the fridge had a huge chunk of ice so was a bit tricky getting our cold items in. Had to plug the coffee maker into a plug next to the bed and set it on the floor. Wasn t another outlet on the counter area by microwave. Microwave was fine but had to tilt it up and backwards to get the door to open fully, it drug across the counter top. But worked fine. Beds were comfortable, Blankets were a bit crispy some downy in the laundry may help. AC worked great very comfortable set at 74. Toilet lid was not tight and pinched your fanny. Love that your wrist band unlocks the door. No key card to keep up with. This was the hotel room. We ve done the cabins before. I prefer the cabin. Overall we love coming here and will continue.

Growing up, my dad would take my sister and I to Schlitterbahn for summer vacation. The last time we went, I was 14. My dad passed away 10 years ago so when my husband finally got some time off from work, I decided to take our family here thinking we could make some lasting memories like my sister and I did with our Dad. We chose to stay at the Treehouse luxury Suites (#706) for our 1st vacation in 3 years. Checking in was an awful experience. $2,000 per night, and there was nothing luxurious about it at all! All but one of the tv remotes were missing, roaches were all over the kitchen counters, the loudest leaf blowers blasting at 8am (startling the baby) and it was a 2 to 3 hour wait to ride any of the rides. We spent most of our one full day just standing in line. It was $4,000 for 2 nights. No fast passes or food/drink vouchers were included either. This was by far the worst vacation and the biggest waste of money for our family.

Everything is very nice but there is always something that is not right, among them the service in the rooms, you ask for towels, they never arrive, you have to go and get them, other people do not respect the schedule when you get the room, they tell you that for those who stay it is a hour before and an hour after advantage which is a lie. It was my first time in the park and for my husband, his 6th time, it was our first family trip to this place, we just wanted a nice memory.

Was a fun place for the kiddos, but it was super crowded, lines were 45 min-2hrs wait period long , definitely recommend getting the( unlimited fast pass ) $100 per person if you want to actually experience every water ride/slide.... Went on 7/7/24 and it was crazy crowded...the staff that goes thru ones bags and belongings were rude and unpleasant but the check-in staff was very friendly and kind.... Walkability: A far walk from the park with some free parking, if you want closer parking be there an hour before they open. Food and drinks: Drinks and food are very pricey so bring plenty with you if you have kids, they allow small coolers and wagons/strollers to be brought in.

Love this place. Besides the obvious slides and rides that make it a great place to take your kids, the park allows you to pack a cooler and bring lunch. Cant bring in alcohol but they sell beer and wine at swim up bars and other booths throughout park. The allowance of food is key. My kids love the moment the cooler is opened and all the snacks and food are laid out just as much as they love the attractions. Highly recommend a season pass if your local.

Restroom is still living in the 1900s with the smallest toilet seat I ve ever had to use in my life. The resort had a private shuttle to get from park to park but the regular buses are way better they stuck us in a 2000 van that had little to no AC and was the worst. Save your money book a room elsewhere & just enjoy the park with a daily pass.

We booked our stay for 3 nights, when we arrived to check in, Jay at the front desk was SO amazing! We bought a package that came with a gift bag which included 4 Schlitterbahn towels and 2 stainless steel cups and a Schlitterbahn Weiner doggy lol. Jay put us in a townhome which is located right on the Comal River, so in the morning, when I went outside to have my coffee, I was literally looking out over the river. It was beautiful! Sooooo many deer too, the whole vibe was perfect! The townhouse was 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, my little boy and I could literally live there! Lol The water park was huge and had so much to offer, we loved the lazy river because the water came straight from the Comal! So cool! I highly recommend for family vacation! I love everything about this little river town, New Braunfels, the resort, the river, and the hospitality!

We stayed one night and Im glad because I wouldnt have been able to stay longer. The room smelled like someone fried food and burnt it, real bad.....it was so bad we kept everything in the car but bare necessities. The front desk offered no help (housekeeping is not on site), i even called the resort and they sent maintenance for a leak. Maintenance said he would look for something and never returned. I went out and bought febreeze but that didnt help. The room had a sofa bed but it didnt come with full bedding (we dont have blankets at the front desk, no housekeeping on site). Helpful hints ...There is no ice maker. There are free washer/dryers, that was nice but they padlocked them inside the pool with lightning/thunder/rain even though there are separate gates. The extra time in the morning for the one small spot of the park is not worth it at all. Over $500 for one night to smell like a burnt tortilla....will never stay again. These rooms are a trap. Stay away! Rooms: Gross

Schlitterbahn has really changed since I was a kid. Now, returning with my own kids, I was VERY impressed with the park and how it offered water activities for all ages to enjoy. Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The lodge room are great, too. Beds were very comfortable, or I was just really tired from playing all day at the park. Nearby activities: Sea Island for dinner! Awesome food and service. Its a South Texas tradition. Safety: The lifeguards are top-notch. I saw one of them rescue a baby-sized dummy from the Kristal River water. I assume it was placed there to test their alertness, and they did a great job.

AWESOME PLACE TO STAY! You cant beat staying on property and getting early park access! Trust me! This was our view from our front door! They even have smores and movie nights! We saw 4 deer walking to get smores! Oh yeah!!!! Rooms: The bathroom in the room was a little dated and very small, but thats okay. Walkability: You just walk into the park. For early access you take the tram to the new park. If you see Ramero waiting for the bus tell him hes the GOAT!

We stayed at the Schlitterbaughn resorts on 305 Austin street. The convenience of being there is amazing. The rooms... these darn rooms. Perfect location but the beds.. we did not get a good night sleep cause of the beds. Very uncomfortable and Any little move the entire bed would shift and make noises. I couldnt adjust myself cause the noise would wake me up. The pillows were way too puffy for my liking. The bedroom door wouldnt close cause the bed was in the way. There was a family of dust bunnies under the beds :/ . Restroom door didnt lock. Other than that everything was ok. If you are looking for a place to eat, tin top burger was really good.

So the basic rooms in the resort at just that: basic. Youve got an AC, ceiling fan, bed and bathroom. Two king size beds and a TV. But! It comes with access to the park included in price, located centrally in new braunfels, and the park as always is magnificent. The rides are long, sl go in the middle of the week for best results or buy the limited fast pass. I go every year. Nearby activities: Comal river drops are a short uber ride away, or if you prefer to drive, about 2.1 miles. Greene, about 4 miles away has bars, life music, and the gristmill (a favorite resturaunt for us regulars) Food and drinks: Theyve got plenty of alcohol for adults and many many drink stations for everyone else.

We did a day trip. We never left the main park as the wait for the bus looked like an excessively long wait. Also there were very few womens bathrooms. There were lines to get in the ladies room. I was so thankful I wasnt there with a child. Ride lines were super long, and the fast lane, really makes the wait longer. You finally get up close and the staff stops the line and lets however many people are in the fast lane cut to the front of the line, ridiculous!! No plans to return to this facility.

I absolutely adored my stay at this resort. My family and I did not even buy passes to the waterpark, yet this resort was one of the best places I have stayed. First off, our room came with a fully equipped kitchen, which I did not expect but loved. It had a stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, pans, silverware, toaster, dishes, and fridge. Then, the rest of the room was very comfortable and had a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a small living room with live TV, a room with 2 beds; a dresser, a nightstand; and a tv, and a very nice spacious bathroom. Also, the hotels outdoor areas had lots of fun activities. Even without the waterpark passes, we had access to 3 pools. There was also an adorable little area where families could gather around to watch movies at night, and a campfire staff would light and manage where people could roast food. For reference, I booked my stay on Expedia, and the room is listed under a two double bed 1 bedroom suite. If you are planning on staying in the New Braunfels area, the Resort at Schlitterbahn is a great and affordable option!

The location was perfect if you wanted to visit Schlitterbahn or go tubing. Now the bad parts about the resort. Our first room had a broken shower handle and what looked like mold in the water tank closet. We informed the front desk and they immediately moved us into another room (5stars for that action). Since it was a holiday weekend they were limited on rooms so we were assigned a smaller room (Wasser Haus) which was absolutely fine but that room had its issues too. The second room had a damp smell, most likely from the AC, and the water also had a smell. We dealt with it even though they said we could move again. We were there for the waterpark and enjoyed ourselves but was super glad to have check out of the resort.

Terrible. We reserved a room for 5 days. They ended up saying that it our card did not go through. We never got a email saying it was canceled. We got many emails saying they happy for us to be here. The assistant was very rude to us about it. Eventually we got lucky and got there Spare room at full price for a night. 0/10 do not book, avoid the headache. If you do end up going here be absolutely sure that you it are staying there. Honestly really bad experience I hope management changes. Also material is really cheap here -1/10 Nearby activities: There is a pool here even though it s in the water park Walkability: Good walkability in campus Noteworthy details: There are deer everywhere possibly only good thing

Wow. We broke down at Canyon Lake on our motorcycles. Had to tow it into new Braunfels. Then we got a room that night at the Schlitterbahn resort. It exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and fun! Sandy at the front desk helped us find ice. She s from Indianapolis as is super nice. So thankful she helped us as she did. Also met Brinkley, who is an amazing lifeguard and engaging to guests she is one of hundreds of other lifeguards doing an excellent job of making sure everyone is safe. I highly recommend Schlitterbahn to anyone headed to new Braunfels! Nearby activities: The resort is part of the Schlitterbahn complex. You walk out your door and you re in the waterpark!

The good is that there are great family amenities and activities, but we didn t use them. If you are going to the waterpark you get early access which didn t apply to us because it was a preview day. We did get better parking to the waterpark and to the resort shuttle but we had to move the car in the morning to use it. The staff was friendly. We had to change rooms because the original one had seemingly paper thin walls and we could hear everything next door. The bad is that the rooms, although updated were just bad motel level. Our second room had a surprisingly steep slope towards the bathroom and every time the AC turned on it slammed the vent door. It did have a microwave/fridge and storage. That said we loved the waterpark but I m not sure if we would stay at this resort again. Maybe one of the other schlitterbahn hotels would be nicer but the only one that was open was very worn. I think if you know what to expect you could be happy.

We were just passing through the San Antonio area, and it was about the same price to rent a private cabin (off-season, no waterpark activity) as it was to get a room at a random hotel off the highway. Figured it would be a more interesting experience here, and it was indeed. It was nice to have the extra space to spread out in the living room, but they could have used some of that space in the bathroom which was oddly tiny (you had to put your feet in the shower when sitting on the toilet). The bed was comfy, but the pillows felt like burlap sacks stuffed with cat hair from the Eisenhower era. Worst. Pillows. Ever. Walking around along the empty park the next morning felt quietly post-apocalyptic. I could definitely see that a cabin would be handy as the base of operations for a family waterpark vacation - theres a basic kitchen with stove & fridge, dining table, and a grill out back with a view of the river.

Not a good value in the off season. Just a poorly arranged old room and no amenities. Ice machine broken (how do they have only one!?), no breakfast, and no gym. No where to place or unpack your bags. A cramped closet. Regular significant train traffic, but at least no whistle. One day we could access the river from the property, but not the next day. The standard coffee maker was nice, as was the included coffee. The beds were ok, but heavier blankets would ve been nice. Rooms: Poorly laid out. Closet access cramped. No where to unpack. Walkability: A mile to any restaurants and poor sidewalks.

Love this annual vacation destination. Rooms: 2 story condo: 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom/1 shower, 3 queen beds, 1 king bed, 1 sofa bed, large enough family area for another king air mattress; patio with grill, 1min walk to front gate to waterpark.

We stayed here on a whim when we went to New Braunsfels for the night thinking that the word resort was literal. IT WAS NOT. This place is like a rundown motel. The rooms are small and basic- although the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Nothing about this place is a resort. Even though we went off season (Feb 17th) we were placed in a room that is next to railroad tracks. ALL NIGHT LONG TRAINS RUN. Be ware if booking (I booked directly w the hotel, so shocked they wouldnt have mentioned this or offered another option further from the tracks as the occupancy that night was maybe 10%) to check location to the tracks. Awful experience. Would not recommend even w the close proximity to the water park.
