Ordered a medium pizza it was about the size of a regular plate. Barely has any sauce or cheese on it. It is somehow very floppy even tho I ordered crispy. It says it s an eight slice pizza but the pizza slices are tiny. The pieces are a little bit smaller than an iPhone 12. Also had to wait an hour for it while the workers were just standing around talking.

Double daves is the most okay pizza restaurant Ive ever been to. They have decently priced menu items and the inside is clean. The staff is quick and efficient. Honestly cant say anything bad about this place except that theres so many better options for around the same price or cheaper.

First time ordering at double Dave s. I Ordered the veggie pizza and was very disappointed on the quality of the pizza. For starters, 21$ for a medium pizza is a bit steep in my opinion. Secondly, the pizza in my opinion was not great at all. Not sure if it should be considered a pizza. It was very awkward to pick up a slice due to the bottom of the dough being soggy and wet. To add on to that, all the toppings slide right off once you lift up a slice. The taste of the pizza was ok, but nothing crazy that would drive me to go back to order another pizza. Sorry to say but I d rather buy a frozen oven make pizza than get something from double Dave s again.

The only 2 reasons I m giving it a 2 star is because I ordered a medium pizza, it is SMALL it only comes in 8 slices and that is ALL I ordered, and it came out to 21 dollars. The flavors were good but the pizza was so floppy and soggy that the toppings just completely fell off. I know some pizza is floppy but I don t think the dough should ever be wet on both sides. With inflation on everything a pizza that is not even a large should not cost that much. Positives: very tidy and clean, seating is very comfortable

So my wife and I ordered door dash pickup, my wife stopped on her way home to get the pizza when it said it was supposed to be ready and when she walked In the guy behind the counter told her it s going to be another 20 minutes. my wife asked why since we ordered it 25 minutes prior and he responded, well we got busy so I don t know what you expect me to do. Very rude, which this being the first time we were going to try the place and the last time for us. Thank god Marcos pizza next door he s fast service and is at least friendly. Oh and while my wife waited the extra 20 minutes, not a single person was dining in or picked up a pizza, which we know door dash isn t the best at getting orders to establishments, a tab bit of customer service goes a long way instead of being the way this guy was.

Weve been to Double Daves several times and had a pretty good experience until yesterday when we were going to be charged $6 to change the marinara sauce to alfredo sauce, due to indegestion/ heartburn caused by marinara sauce. Weve made these modifications before without a fee. In fact the last time we were there, they split half alfredo, half garlic cream so we could experience both without an upcharge. Im confused why once we can customize without being upcharged and the next we get charged? I think $6 is ridiculous especially when theres another specialty pizza that has it, so it should already be in stock. Does it take $6 of effort for the cook to open a different jar? I wasnt charged to remove peppers, and that took some mental capacity to think about that. So now they are charging patrons extra with a medical condition to be able to consume their pizza without getting sick. Fortunately, there are plenty of options in NB, we will be going somewhere else.

I honestly had never heard of this place as we do not live in New Braunfels, but our child got an award from school and got a free pizza from Double Daves. First off, the service is fantastic and incredibly friendly. We had picked up to go but the atmosphere is really fun and clean, a lot of thought went into the atmosphere of the joint, I really wish we could have stayed to eat there. We certainly will next time. The pizza is fantastic and full of flavor! My whole family cant wait to go back to new Braunfels so we can eat in at double Daves pizza.

Dont sleep on Double Daves pizza rolls. The crust is my favorite part of a pizza but stuffed crust never quite does it for me however these rolls are everything I wish pizza crust would be and even better I can order them like donuts (6, 12, or individually). Our first time and as long as were in New Braunfels this will be our go to. My husband picked up our order was met with the friendliest service and he brought home the best meat lovers pie ever, he also tried the pizza rolls and loved them. The food here is exceptional. I am picky with thin crust pizza, but this place knows how its done. The dessert on top of the pizza is the way to go. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. My wife also commented on how well the restaurants interior was designed and furnished. If you havent tried this restaurant, you should add it to your list and try it out.

The hand tossed works pizza was great! The thin and crispy was just ok. Ordered it with extra sauce and it did not come that way. Store did give extra side of sauce and apologize. Pricing is deceiving and not updated. Theres a 20.00 requirement to deliver plus a delivery charge. They served a 3.99 salad which is now 7.99 for a 4 oz cup. Salad, mind you. And no telling how theyd fill it or not. Ridiculous...really doesnt matter if theyre know for their pizza rolls. And just to deliver at the hospital across the street or at the corner of 1101 and Hwy 46...a overpriced delivery charge. Incredible!! As always, the food is great! We had The Works pizza The place is very clean and the decor is nice. It just lacks an enjoyable, sit-down atmosphere. The tvs should be in the corners positioned at an angle for easier viewing. I dont think they use the salad bar. Wish they would, but it is a waist of space. However, most pizza places are takeout, and with all the apartments going up around them, I am sure they will be raking in the dough.

This location is fantastic! The food is delicious, tastes great both in person and delivered. Most of the time Ive ordered ahead, but today I decided to go inside and sit down to eat. Bill, the owner, busts his rear end and has fun doing it. He greated me as I entered in a manner which made me feel as if I had known him for years. He takes the time to personally visit each table, participates in conversation and is engaging- which is a fresh breath of air when youre lucky enough to find people with engaging and fun personalities these days. HIGHLY recommend sitting down and having a great time inside, but if you dont have the time, order for delivery because you wont be disappointed.

I will say this their pizza is good I have not been too disappointed as far as the food goes. I would say when The manager or owner is there he is pretty friendly. Tonight first thing they did was quote me 20 to 30 minutes first off I know better I always place the order way before I go and this is coming from seguin to new braunfels, so we go to target and do what we need to do first and mind you a few minutes after one hour at this point when I called. when I arrived it still was not done , Id like to say this was the 1st time unfortunately its pretty much every time. Normally this Double Daves is really good. However, on Thursday, it was not so much. The pizza had a scorched taste to it and the crust was really thin to be a deep dish. I have had a Philly cheese steak before and they should be ashamed calling their sandwich by that name! It was absolutely disgusting. DoubleDaves Pizza is a family owned business. Well the owner was working the counter when we went in. Nice guy! Place was clean and smelled so good. Love the patio, and the whole vibe! We hung out and waited on the food out there. Love the food! The pizza is straight up delicious! Which is why we go back when we are close. They dont deliver to us so we just go pick up when we go to creekside. Super yummo! Owner is nice to us always. However, Im not impressed when he yells at the employees that are new and the service is super slow, then he gaslights the newbies like the 30 min promised was only 40 when it was actually 50 min to get the Friday special that I waited for pick up. Experienced folks work for good management long term. Its pizza.... take it easy on the help. We ordered pizza, Stromboli and Cinnamonstyx. First of all the pizza was fantastic. The Stromboli was AMAZING! The Cinnamonstyx was to die for. Food was incredible. I was in shock. Well never order from anybody else. My Wife waited a bit for it to be ready. She noticed ALL the staff was having fun and enjoying the work environment. The owner Bill, was taking care of his customers and keeping them completely updated on their food time/ progress while kidding and joking with his staff. An all around great experience for us. There are two customer service places my wife and I like and really enjoy. Thats Southwest Airlines and Discount tire. Well, now we have three because we just added Double Daves of New Braunfels to that list. Cant wait to go back!

Picked up some of their pizza rolls for my son. He loved them so much. He said it was one of the best pizza rolls hes ever had. I had a cesser salad and it was good. Portions of food were generous. Food and customer service was great! Vegetarian options: Tons of salad options. Dietary restrictions: I eat gluten free, they had tons of salad options. Parking: Lots of parking available.

We usually go to Marcos because of the quality/price. We decided to give DDs a shot today and I must say Im really impressed! We eat pizza once a week (we workout and diet all week) and this is a few steps above Marcos in terms of quality and Marcos is known for their quality! We will definitely be making this our new pizza place!

Double Daves in New Braunfels is the BOMB! My grandson, Hes a very picky eater, who prefers their pizza! After he named all the other pizza places close by he picked Double Daves. Why? I asked. Theirs taste BETTER! Not gonna argue with his overly sensitive palate. We ordered right before closing. It was fresh, hot , deliciousness! Half cheese & pepperoni. Guess where this Nana is going on my next visit to New Braunfels... DOUBLE DAVES!

Our pizza has almost no sauce. Pull the cheese up and there was nothing underneath most of the pizza. Had to pull sauce out of our cabinet to add to the pizza. Also got mild buffalo wings and there was absolutely no mild buffalo sauce on it. I m not a extra sauce person, but you might need to clarify this here at they basically give you everything without sauce. First and last time we will order from here.

This has been is our go to pizza spot now for about 8 months. We order the Dave s fave pizza & meatball sub every time and have never been disappointed. Super fresh, great quality. By far our fave pizza spot in town. Service is a+ on top of that...DoorDash messed up our order once and they handled it with class and professionalism. Mason (assuming he s a manager) gave us top notch customer service. We were honestly shocked at how well he and his staff handled the mishap (especially bc we came at them a bit heated admittedly), but truly great service...and great food!

I like the look of the place and it seemed clean enough inside. We got a pizza and Stromboli. Both were good (not great) except the crust on both was undercooked on the inside. I also think the TVs are mounted too high for viewing pleasure. Again, I think the place/food is just fine.

They have whole wheat crust which is hard to find at any pizza place and the owner is such a great guy goes out of his way to be extra friendly to everyone as do the employees I ve met! I was met with a very rude, condescending, and disrespectful staff member while attempting to deliver food to a customer. This dispute was unnecessary, and ultimately the staff member was incorrect in her assumption. If the staff is rude to delivery drivers, I cant imagine how they treat customers. Would not recommend this establishment. There are much kinder restaurants in the area that are worth your time and money.
