My little man loved being able to run inside the older museum and look at the older trucks, but it got even more fascinating when Mr.Dawson let him in the truck too!! Thank you for the one on one experience NBFD!

This is a great place to travel. First-time visitors may find the entrance confusing, but the entrance is right next to it, but it is locked. To enter, tell the firefighter at the fire station next door that you want to enter the museum, and he will open the door and explain the exhibits one by one. Oh, by the way, admission is free, so I recommend it as a great place to stop by when traveling! If there is one thing that could be improved, I would like to make entering the museum more convenient. Here is a cool place to visit. I visited here during my New Braun felts travel. Newcomers can be confused about where the entrance is. This museum is next to the fire station. We asked a firefighter where the museum was and he showed us around. He opened the door of the museum and explained the fire-fighting facilities one by one. He explained very kindly. If theres one thing I want you to say, Please, Make museum entrance more comfortable.

Fascinating tour! Not knowing any better, we just showed up to the museum since Google Maps listed it as open, but there are no dedicated staff on premises. We called the number and were directed to the fire station next door, where fortunately the captain was available to unlock the old firehouse and give us a detailed tour. Easily one of the best guided museum tours I have ever been on! Very educational. Next time, I will make sure to call ahead just in case. :D

Firefighter, Sean, provided a very interesting tour of the museum. Just go next door to the fire station to request a tour of museum, as it isnt kept unlocked.

Im so glad we arranged a tour of this museum. I wasnt sure what to expect. Greg opened the museum for us and took the time to give us a great deal of information about local history, the history of firefighting, and, of course, the history of the fire station. They just celebrated 100 years, and dedicated the station as a Texas historic landmark. Theyre the third oldest fire station in Texas. And the best part, he let us sit in the fire trucks!
