The salon was beautiful & clean. The stylist I saw was beyond friendly and good at what she does, for sure. However, I paid $400+ for a partial (the most I have ever paid for a dye job in my life!). It was a beautiful color job...but the color faded within the 1st week, even though I washed it only once. My grays are still present and the color treatment that was sprayed on my thinner hair kept my hair sticky for days. It was awful.... I am disheartened that I have to go get my hair done again a month after I paid this much money :(.

Never have I gotten my hair done and not gotten it styled after. My hair when I left looked like I just did it myself after I shower. I left with my hair still wet and it was not straight like I asked. Was frizzy and she put in no hair styling. Every other place I go to always makes my hair look amazing after the cut. She did a good job coloring however the cut was half done and the blow dry, well my hair is still wet and styled like I could do at home. She also wouldnt stop on commenting how damaged my hair was- I get it. Wont go back. Next time please fully dry someones hair and style it so they feel pretty. Not worth 300 bucks at all. Even my husband said looks like you just got out of shower. For a service of this cost, it is expected to have your hair look nice after coloring and cut. This is a first for me to walk out and feel so ugly after a color. You need to style or at least smooth out hair and fully dry, at a minimum. She rushed and did not finish the job. I still tipped but was extremely unimpressed. She literally put in product and didnt style at all. It was so disappointing to spend 350 bucks for top service and you walk out with frizzle and unstyled air. She literally did nothing to style. I was so shocked 8 didnt even know what to say. I left with frizzy, ugly and wet hair. Not worth what I paid for at all. I would not even go to work with what she did for my hair because it was that terrible. She rushed and did not even use a mirror to show me the back, never had had that. Just unprofessional and rushed. I walked out looking like a hot mess I had to go home and style my own hair. That is a first for me. Crazy. Would get a refund if I could.

Jordan and her side kick, Kennedy did a wonderful job on my cut today (third visit) Jordan recommended a Brazilian Blow out since I have wavy frizzy hair and Im looking at doing that in the near future. I was recommended to see Jordan from my daughter-n-law so I made an appointment...Ive been disappointed with most of the Hair Stylists that Ive used. Jordan listened to what I wanted my hair look like, A Bob with Stacked back...Jordan nailed it. I had been using Grocery Store color and it looked awful! Jordan corrected the color and it looks healthy and the color is great. I told here that if she ever decided to leave Gilded that she better let me know!

This salon was the best experience and service l have ever had. That is a lot to say for a senior. The minute l walked in this darling salon, l knew l was going to love it. Kimberlyn gave me a fantastic haircut and style. My granddaughter needed a difficult hair color on very long over bleached hair. Sierra did an amazing job and l have never seen her hair prettier. My granddaughter was very nervous and all the stylist help ease her anxiety. I highly recommend anyone that wants a very pleasant, relaxing and fun hair experience to visit this darling salon. At a recent appointment at another salon, my hair ended up super overtoned. I went in for full highlights on my already blonde hair, and left looking brunette. I was nervous going to get my hair done after that, and waited 6 months to try again. Gilded came highly recommended on local fb groups, and after scouring all of the stylist s portfolios I booked with Shayne. Shayne is amazing, and listened to all my concerns and preferences to deliver what I really wanted. After 1 full highlight session, my hair is back to blonde and still looks and feels healthy. The salon itself is adorable, and the station and shampoo bowl chairs are comfortable. I love the online booking process, and appreciate that the reception desk is super communicative. I am extremely disappointed. I scheduled an appt online and was able to get in quickly. It was for my 10 year old dtr. Kimberlyn did an amazing haircut. We loved it. I scheduled to have my other dtr come in and they called and canceled because she is 8. They accommodated us for my first dtr because we scheduled online. Apparently you have to be 12 years old. Who doesn t take a customer willing to pay 60+ dollars for a hair cut and at least a 20 percent tip. The place is beautiful, but I definitely didn t get an adult only feeling. Mind you my dtr sat very patiently and did just fine. Sadly, we won t be back and that is to bad because I needed a stylist too. 3 continuous customers lost over age. I would highly reconsider this policy. Kimberlyn did great though. We thank her for a beautiful haircut.

Stylist: I have been on the hunt for a hair stylist for a while now. I was referred to Gilded Hair Salon by a friend of the family and so we booked an appointment for my daughter first since she has been begging for a cut. She went to Shayne and she did an amazing job on my teens hair. She listened to what she wanted and gave suggestions where needed. Shayne was professional and very sweet. My daughter left there with a beautiful cut and style and a huge smile on her face. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the salon, the staff were all so nice and welcoming, and Shayne did a great job. I booked her for myself and I love my cut and style as well. I grew up in New Braunfels and left to attend college at UCLA. When I moved back, I knew it was going to be tough to find a good salon in town because my family and I had tried all of them over the years and it was always a disappointment. I had been driving to SA for my hair for 6 months or so when my sister told me she had found a new trendy salon in town called Gilded. Omg, I m so glad they opened in New Braunfels! I have a lot to share: First off entering, the place has an extremely strong smell. Most hair salons have this but this is extremely potent in this building as I think there is 0 ventilation. If you are sensitive to smells this is not the place to go, as that is there hair spray and products that is causing that smell. I understand they have to push the product the store it selling, but it has been 4+ washes and I cannot get that smell out of my hair and I m starting to wonder what is actually in that product. It s a clean place however. The actual service itself: This is what caused me to give this one stars. I had informed her during my session with much time in advanced what time I had to leave, and I still left there late. On top of that, she 1. Cut my hair wrong (I asked for layers and it looks like a plain straight cut) and 2. Asked my hair to be styled. As it s rolling passed an hour and a half for a haircut and blowout (just blowing drying hair) she says this doesn t look right to herself and I had to tell her it was fine and I needed to go. If you re willing to pay $65 for a haircut that you can get anywhere else and have hair that will smell for multiple days this is your go to. Not only was I late to my event, but my hair looked pretty awful. I can understand having something wrong to an extent, but for someone spending that much time I expected better. Save your money, go somewhere else.

The artist I worked with was really sweet but I didn t get what I asked for. I ended up paying over $500 for something so subtle it is barely noticeable. Don t get me wrong, I don t hate it, but I m a little sad that I spent so much and didn t get what I asked for. I ve waited a few days to let it grow on me to see if I would like it more but it just isn t it and now I have to pay that again to have someone else do it.

Finding a great salon while traveling as a winter Texan snowbird can be challenging to say the least. A web search of salons in New Braunfels led me to Gilded Hair Salon and the vibe and the reviews made me call for an appointment. I was able to get in fairly quickly to see KJ and she was amazing. I have long hair needing color, cut and a blow out and was way behind schedule for an appointment because of our travels. KJ was so accommodating and professional and an absolute doll to work with. I was in the chair for 4+ hours with a full foil, toner, conditioning, cut and blow out! I couldn t be more pleased with the work and KJ s skills were top notch. I have already scheduled my second appointment before I head back to Michigan. Recommend this salon and KJ wholeheartedly!

Do yourself a favor and book with Shayne! I have tricky hair that she took such great care of while my normal stylist was on maternity leave. She did a partial highlight then I went back for cut + full highlight. She s knowledgeable, detailed, and if you love blended blonde- she s your girl. I ll definitely be back to see her. I booked for a color and highlights. When I got there she wanted to test a little sample if my hair which was OK to do. She said it would not work and showed it to me and then said what else would you like. I only settled for a hair cut. The way the stylist was acting it was as if she really didnt want to do the service I originally asked for. The next day I went to Fixx salon and what an amazing job they did on my hair color and highlights. I will not recommend Glided Hair salon unless you just want a basic hair cut and to me 70.00 bucks is way to much for a hair cut.

I got by hair done by Sarah. After seeing the reviews and notice others reviewing her I trusted she could make my dreams come true. I ve soon hair stylist what I wanted and they have never gotten the light beach waves I wanted. Or the hair styles I find on Pinterest but Sarah was able to make it happen. So excited to come back and get color done and continue with her. She also noticed my baby hairs and took care of them to make them look nice. Very sweet person. Very highly recommend her.

Beautiful salon! I really loved the calm and relaxing atmosphere and the variety of music playing! I am obsessed with my new hair!! Thank you so much KJ! I came to the salon to get my hair cut and colored, I walked in with very little ideas as to how to do my hair dye to the blue color that was still slightly in it. For context I have waist length hair that is on the thicker/curly side. KJ had really in depth and amazing ideas, I told her about my likes and the very few ideas I did have and listened to her recommendations. We began by coloring it red to cancel out the blue, then moved onto my brunette color. After rinsing my hair she realized my hair clung to the red a lot and made sure to ask my opinion of if Id like more of the brown to darken the color or if I liked the color it was. I opted to keep the color and I absolutely love it! We did very little length wise to my hair and she did amazing with the face shaping!

HOLY WOWZA! This place was GORGEOUS! First lets talk about the style! The aesthetic here was absolutely gorgeous! It was like Joanna Gaines heaven. From the second I got there the service was AMAZING! I was greeted by the nicest lady! I hate that I did not catch her name because she was so kind. She offered me a drink and they even served wine(with glitter) which was nice. I have three kids and dont get a lot of alone time. So a drink and pamper was a plus. I was greeted by my stylist Jordan, she was so sweet and very knowledgeable. She listened to me fully and discussed options with me before even beginning! She talked about products that would be good for my issues and really helped me feel better. I then got a wash, cut, and style. After drying she discussed maybe taking a little more off, if I was comfortable (because of color damage). I agreed and then she finished up and styled me to perfection! She really brought my hair back to life! I was checked out and everyone was sweet and complimented my hair! What a fantastic, beautiful salon!!! New Braunfels is so lucky to have this beautiful place! I will be recommending EVERYONE!!

I was visiting friends in canyon lake and needed a root touch up and highlights along with an all over trim. I googled salons and came across gilded hair salon. I called and left a message and they got back to me immediately and l set an appointment for the following week. My stylist was Jordan and she was simply amazing and we consulted what l wanted done. 10 stars. I came across Sarah when she was still in Austin and was impressed by her ability to effortlessly turn a vision into a reality. She takes the time to ReAlLY understand what you want... and dont want. I now happily make the drive from Austin for balayage/cut because I wont allow anyone else to touch my hair. Sarah is a truly talented artist and nails my hair every time. The cherry on top of the drive is that the salon is absolutely heavenly!! Went to Gilded Salon today and am so obsessed! 2 local sisters flipped this home built in 1920 and turned it into the most aesthetically pleasing salon Sarah cut my hair and she did such a cute trim & gave me long layers and curtain bangs. She brought my hair back to life and when she finished my hair was so silky smooth and the cut was exactly what I asked for. They ve only been open for 1 month and I can not wait to continue supporting their business and hope they are super successful.

The salon is bright and inviting and all of the girls that work there are super nice and do amazing work. Theres no salon in New Braunfels like this one. This is hands down the best hair salon in New Braunfels. I live in Dripping Springs and my hairdresser recently retired so I was looking for a new salon that specialized in balayage and thick hair. Sarah was my stylist and I ve never loved my color and cut more. I m hooked. AND the salon is soooo gorgeous. It s such a vibe and the service was top-notch, the staff was so friendly, positive and welcoming. 100% recommend checking them out.
