Good prices on Pokémon cards. Some tabletop board games. Wasn t too impressed. The girl working there was either not all there or super socially awkward and not welcoming at all. We re from Houston and stop by all the nerd stores when we travel. I m doubtful will go back.

Very pleasant community here. Definitely a good spot to play Warhammer (which is why I go) but they seem to have a good mtg scene as well, Ive heard those guys laughing and having the time of their life. Owner is pleasant and friendly to deal with, hes tolerated both my smart and dumb questions. Update: its been over a year and I still like this place. Update again: Barbara is a gem, explained some games to me better than I could have imagined.

Overall a reliable meeting place for start up DMs or even long time DMs to find dungeoning groups, dice, minis, and other TTRPG supplies such as Warhammer 40k (would not recommend for those without disposable income) but of course it could use some improvement as all places do, for starters unless its a family exclusive business perhaps hiring more people with experience in the games they sell, or perhaps to liven the mood with ambient sound/music (I recommend the slower songs of Andrey Vinogradov with his Hurdy-gurdy if you want a darker medieval feel) and finally perhaps posting ads on social media, advertise large scale events, Etc. Love the shop best to you

Nice place with great staff and good pricing. Games are fair and people are pretty polite too. They tolerate me, so that says a lot. Ive been coming here for a few years now. Definitely check them out for board games, card games etc. If youre interested in learning a new game or trying a game before you buy it, this is the place to go. Billy will likely play a game with you and explain it to you and has great advice on a lot of games out there. Barbara is also fairly knowledgeable about some of the games. I know they have Magic: The Gathering draft on Fridays and commander on Saturdays. Occasionally some people go in on Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday as well. Last time I checked they also have Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh nights too. Oh, and Warhammer with two different tables to play on. If I havent convinced you, then at least checkout the YouTube channel under the same name, or find them on Facebook...

Barbara was so awesome! First of all, great customer experience, but secondly, she took the time to explain MTG to me. My husband is the main player of the game but I ve been wanting to learn, at first it seems so intimidating but she really helped me grasp the play! I can t wait to have these at home date nights with the hubby and build my own decks!!

Girl at the counter was dismissive and fairly rude. I went in inquiring about singles and was told they only cater to lists of cards and did not allow people to look at them. I am from out of town and while it is unusual to not be able to look at available cards, the real issue i had here was the attitude i was met with which did not make me feel welcome so I left.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. Went in today trying to find something for my young boy, and these folks are so friendly, patient and helpful theyve got a customer for life. Excellent selection, and they were awesome in helping find the right item for what I was after. Im so glad I decided to go local instead of online, and Ill be going back for both myself and my son on a regular basis. Looking forward to game nights and to expand on/find new hobbies. So, SO glad Blitzkrieg is my neighborhood game shop. Oh, and their shop dog is a sweetheart and a bonus to this gem of a store. 10/10, would highly recommend.

I had a fantastic experience at Blitzkrieg Games. We were visiting the area from out of town, and I decided to stop in to check out their magic singles. Their selection was fantastic, and they had almost every card I was looking for (and quite a few I didnt know I needed until I saw them!). The store was very clean and organized, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.

My number one spot to go to for cards and other game items. Very laid back Vive that I like, never feel like Im being rushed or pushed into buying anything which is a big plus for me. There is a super sweet puppy there sometimes and that makes it worth the trip even if they dont have the card I need that day.(which they can order for you in the store.)10/10

Went twice, probably not going back again. The shop could be doing more to service its gaming community, and would be a lot more successful. Just because it exists doesnt automatically mean locals should feel obligated to give patronage. They have very limited stock; no comics (even though its in their names title); and the owners show very little interested in actual games people come to play. They also have a shop-dog, a big shepherd, its always there; its hair and dander are everywhere. It wouldnt be so bad but the dog does occasionally bark at either delivery drivers and/or customers; I cant tell if it playful or not, but it is a little unnerving. I had never barked at me but during my first visit the dog began barking at the delivery driver, at first I didnt know if it was barking at me or not, I was the only other person in the shop. The owner didnt seem to mind the dog barking nor if it made the customer uneasy. After several minutes of this, Im guessing the owner noticed my unease, he apologized and said the dog was barking at the delivery truck as he moved the dog into one of the back rooms. On one visit I was waiting for a group mate to play some Warhammer, while I waited I played a game of MTG with another pair of gamers waiting for the rest of their group. When one of their group arrived the shop-dog began barking at the customer. The customer didnt seem bothered; being new to the shop, I couldnt tell if the animal was being playful or not; but it was still unnerving. On my last visit, while playing Warhammer I found the dog poking around in my bag, the animal gave me no trouble when I shooed it away. The reason Ive decided not to give further patronage to this shop is because on one rare evening my wife decided that she would really like to join me and learn to play, having already showed her how to play Warcry. However, she is Terrified of dogs. I reached out to the owners and offered a compromise, maybe leash the dog behind the counter. They seemed perturbed by my request and wanted to know how long wed be playing for. If you dont mind a large dog having free range of the shop, then this is your place.

Had a great Experience at the shop. Found the Wigglytuff that I was looking for to complete my hidden fates collection. Bought a sealed box of Sword and Shield booster packs. Not only did I get a great price for the box, I pulled a Zamazenta Ultra rare and Zamazenta Secret Rare ( thats the gold one ). I will for sure go back there and they have a customer for life. Havent visited the store in some time..however, when we visited often to build MTG decks, Billy and the rest of his associates were always super cool, and helpful! His shop is a hot spot to be at on a Friday night for MTG! I have seen some people leave lesser reviews because of the low comic selection..give him feedback! Start a comic subscription at his store! They will tend to your needs and always keep the customer in mind :) Very happy to see how successful his shop is doing right now! We love it there and will be back soon!

I was so excited when New Braunfels got an actual gaming store & Blitzkrieg hasn t disappointed! Billy, the owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, is great about handling my special orders & weird questions & is always up for finding the answer if he doesn t know it. Barbara, his store manager, is equally awesome, friendly & happy to help & the go-to for anything Pokémon or comic. It s one of my husbands & my favorite places to go hang out, play a board game (they have a whole shelf of sample games) or just hangout & chill. Wonderful game store that has only improved over time. This store is legitimately a case study in how to do a small, independent business correctly. At first it was kind of cramped, but they expanded outwards when they got the opportunity. They adapt constantly to the wants and needs of their customers, provide excellent customer service, and stand by their values of creating a fun, family-friendly space that caters to all kinds of crowds. Their staff is friendly, informed, and patient. Their owner is deeply involved and savvy. Their inventory is clean and kept up to date. The goods are in a small but neat and accessible alcove of a room as you enter. Past that is the game room which is spacious and available to try out your new cards or try out any of their board games that are also up for sale. While the store is sort if half game store and comics, the staff make sure both needs are filled. They csn subscribe to any comic series or board gaming material you need. The store also has the treats you need to keep up with those long dungeon crawls. Also if you require your miniatures painted inquire with the staff and they will hook you up. If you live in New Braunfels, it is a good source of comic books and the hours are more geared towards late afternoon to midnight. Very friendly and both owners will talk shop and offer insight.

This is a very nice place to go get some Comics or cards. They also have game nights there which is fun to do. The staff there is always extremely nice and helpful.

Walked in to a store that resembles a disorganized supply closet. Board game selection was meh at best, and is it too much to ask to be acknowleged when you walk into a store. Four people walked by us, two of which had to say excuse me, because the store is so crammed. Not a single hello. Blitzkrieg sums up this store pretty well, get in and get out quickly. I was very disappointed.

Awesome local store to play Board Games, Magic, D&D, Warhammer 40k and more. Nice stock of minis, books, dice etc. and the prices are really fair.
