West River House is the perfect choice if you are looking for elegance and intimacy in a stunning architectural venue in New Braunfels TX. Established in 2023, West River House is a brand new venue with state of the art construction. We brought down several barns from the Amish in Illinois to create this homage to a Vermont covered bridge. Passing through the high ceilings of the bridge, it’s all floor-to-ceiling glass facing Lake Dunlap making it a stunning venue for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, homecoming weekends and reunions. A new 4100 sq ft patio is cantilevered 23' over Lake Dunlap with a 40'x40' tent on one side for lakeside dining and ceremonies. Breathtaking illuminated cypress trees are the finishing touch.

Daughters Wedding Mid-November 2023. Beautiful day, beautiful location. Host was incredibly flexible on the setup. The property was the perfect location for our wedding size of about 65 people. We enjoyed a delightful, relaxing brunch in the venue the day after the wedding. The rooms were comfortable. The kitchen and bar areas worked out perfectly for us. Plenty of room for parking and golf cart valet service for the guests. My caterer thought it was the perfect place for his setup. I highly recommend!

This is a beautiful place for any type of event or wedding. Cozy, inviting, and serene. I stopped for a tour and fell in love. It is perfect for a rehearsal dinner for a couple looking around the Preserve at Canyon Lake. A wedding here would be awesome. Make sure to take a tour at dusk to see the lights.

A hidden gem in New Braunfels. Update.... Good news, the deck is finally finished. A masterpiece that compliments the design of the house that overlooks the water. Ill be adding pictures ASAP...

Me and my wife had our wedding there this January and we had so much going wrong with the house like all the stuff he promised we paid to have our wedding on the New patio by the lake that he promised us a year back and was barely under construction and the day before the wedding my wifes grandmother took a shower and a tile fell on her head all he said that that was unfortunate and I got locked in the restroom on my wedding day for at least 40 min because the lock cam off and they are deadbolt door the owners were so rude blaming us for what happened they are scammers most of what we were promised the reason why we got the house was all a lie

The photos of this HOUSE are very misleading. This house is tightly fit between 2 residential homes in a private neighborhood. There is zero parking so its very inconvenient to find a spot. All in all, not ideal for parties. Better for a small family wanting to have an expensive Airbnb to rent for the weekend.

I had my wedding here in June 2023. First of all, I do NOT recommend this house if your wedding is more than 50 people. Theres not enough place to park. Not enough room to seat everybody inside the house. This house is in a residential area, and the neighbors were complaining about my guests parking on the street in front of their houses. When we reserved the house, the owner stated the lake was going to be ready by the time of the wedding in June 2023. I was hoping to get married by the lake. It was heartbreaking when we were told it was not going to be ready afterall. He was promoting the house in all digital platforms with the Lake Dunlop included in your rental. I dont understand why the house was promoted like this if the lake was not ready. I was hoping to receive any type of compensation for the disappointment, distress and loss of enjoyment for not having the lake ready for my wedding ceremony as he stated in the beginning, but we didnt. My wedding took place here, because I didnt want to lose the money we had given already and re send the invitations with a new address etc. Again, not a good place for a wedding. Rental weekend, could be... if youre wiling to pay $5,000 :/

AMAZING!!! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here with friends and family and the whole experience was flawless! The building and decor are absolutely stunning. Our party guests loved it. The atmosphere was so luxurious and relaxing. Thank you Kurt for a memorable event.

This venue was completely gorgeous !!!! The owner of the venue was very nice and accommodating to start!! If one is looking for a beautiful and classy wedding venue or party this is it!!! It just takes the right Decor person to make it magical and personal.

25 couples have found the serenity and beauty of West River House and it s unobstructed views of the lake with a private island, make this setting superior to any other property on the lake for a venue. The new dam will be closed off in July making for a late summer fill!

This place is in a residential area. There is almost zero parking and the neighbors were not asked whether or not they were okay with this to be put into the neighborhood. If you re willing to look past that, the front of this place faces an old house, and the back area faces an area that will not have a great view, even when the dam is fully repaired and the water is up. So keep that in mind when you re deciding to have your reception there.
