I participated in surprise bags thru the to good to go app and paid for 2 bags.. Disappointing does not cover it. They should not be participating in this program. The amount of food was sparce, but the quality was horrible. the meat was not eatable. It felt like a scam to get extra money. I should be refunded as I could not eat the food and it was tossed in the garbage.

Silver Spoon is my absolute favorite place to eat! The food is always delicious, with incredible presentation, and the entertainment never disappoints. The murder mystery and dinner theater is so engaging, and the view of people water skiing in the back adds a fun, unexpected twist. It s such a unique experience, combining great dining with entertainment highly recommend!

This place is very unique! Its family owned and operated and offers great food with a very entertaining show at the end acted out by the very talented staff. This was my third time here, and honestly, Ive never had a bad experience. The food is always good and presented very well. We tried the eight course meal last night, and it was amazing. The portions seemed small at first, but by the last course, I was stuffed. If youre looking for a casual semi-fine dining experience with great entertainment, you have to try this place! My only regret is that its so far away.

I can t speak to the entertainment, or even this venue for a regular meal. What I can speak to is their special event. My husband made a reservation for 1:00. Their Mother s Day service was absolutely abysmal. It started with our being shown the general direction of where we were supposed to sit by the hostess (walking out the door to the patio using words about that table top over there, then leaving). After 10 minutes of sitting with no menus or water, and being swarmed by bees on a hard bench with no padding (with a garbage can behind us), I decided to go ask about menus and convey my dismay about the start to our Mother s Day brunch. They did eventually bring us one paper menu to scan and even later after that some water. We picked our selections from the 4 course meal, and then waited. And waited. Over an hour after our reservation we received our rolls. Which our family scarfed. Then our first course. Which we also scarfed. Bees swarm while we sit and stare off. 15 minutes later our second course. As I write it s 2:24, and we are waiting for our next course. I m about ready to leave and go get P Terrys. This is $45 a plate with a mandatory gratuity. I d save your money, and prevent a spoiled special occasion and go elsewhere.

Food is by far the best, the 3 course was very full filling but they offer a bigger option. The view is awesome. We had a great time! 3rd act desert is to die for! Cheese cake and cherry pie.. more options available. Bon Appetite !

Everything about this place was amazing!!!!! The food was exquisite and the experience was the perfect date night! Our favorite foods were the mushroom bisque and the braised short rib with mushroom risotto. This was truly the best meal I ve ever eaten. Our waiter Paden was awesome and upon noticing our table was slightly wobbly fixed it immediately without us asking. The show was fantastic and kept us entertained and having fun as we waited for our food to settle after eating. Can t recommend this place enough! Will definitely be going back!

Disappointing Evening Out ! Looking for a special place to go to for our infrequent date nights, we came across Sylver Spoon while searching online. Combing through the reviews, the idea of a quality dinner followed by a live play in a nice setting was very appealing and a majority of the reviews and pictures led us to believe that this was going to be an amazing fine dining experience worth the premium prices commanded. Sadly for us, our experience greatly missed the mark in all aspects and we cannot recommend going there. We won t be returning. OBSERVATIONS Food experience : - [ ] Tried 6 different items (from Two 3-course meals) each of them lacking in taste and quality. Each hastily served and none of them looking like the beautiful plated pictures seen on the website. Completely underwhelming. - [ ] Fillet Mignon (with the added $15 menu up-charge) ours in particular was actually two small end piece (along with fat) nudged together on salt rock. Poor quality and chewy. Partner had to spit out the fatty bits as encountered. - [ ] Sugar Salmon was bland and cold and I resorted to dunking it in the watery pineapple sauce the rice was swimming in to try to give a palatable taste. Not a pleasant piece of fish. - [ ] Meatball (singular) was undercooked and slightly cold in the middle and definitely lacked a freshly made taste. - [ ] Deserts (slice of chocolate/peanut butter pie and cheesecake) neither had any garnishes or plating extras as shown on pictures. Bland and tasted store bought. Certainly nothing special and not of fine dining caliber. Have definitely had much better from the frozen section at HEB! Facility experience : - [ ] Far from romantic, the facility felt tired, uncared for, noisy, less than optimally clean, chaotic and well beyond its prime. It felt like an eclectic and rustic-casual setting trying to be made to look a little dressed up with incongruent abstract impressionistic art. No apparent decor identity to anchor itself around. In addition, the small chairs at our small table felt increasingly uncomfortable during our 2 hour sit. - [ ] Facility sorely needs reinvestment in upkeep, deep cleaning and updating. Noted a stale/stuffy/fusty air scent upon entry, dirty ceilings and visible dark dust accumulation on and around the HVAC vent louvers. Theater experience : - [ ] 2 seemingly excellent actors on stage and a seemingly entertaining screenplay. - [ ] Unfortunately, couldn t hear most of it because of the disruptively loud wall-pounding sounds and rowdy-ruckus banter noises permeating from the adjoining Axe Throwing Haus going at it at full tilt throughout the entire live performance. - [ ] In addition, performance area was poorly heated (if at all?) necessitated wearing a jacket for the 1 hour performance as it was very cold. Confused as to why our experience was so divergent from a majority of the past posted reviews. We can only come up with that it could maybe be one (or some) of the following : 1) Maybe we experienced an off night anomaly. Perhaps we had an under-qualified backup cooking staff having to fill in for the A-team ? 2) Maybe it was that we refrained from indulging in alcohol which could dull our perceptions as done by a large number of the other diners all around us ? 3) Perhaps Silver Spoon has somewhat recently implemented some changes which may have unintentionally sacrificed quality for boosting productivity and near-term profits? 4) Perhaps our sub-par experience is a sign that complacency is starting to take hold in this establishment given its past history of consistently favorable reviews ? We respectfully hope for Sylver Spoon: - A swift and deliberate course correction away from the root causes that allowed their delivery of such a poor customer experience. and... -A return back to reigniting what must have been a passion filled period of providing CONSISTENT high quality all around service worthy of all the rave reviews they ve received.

Unfortunate experience was not positive as I had hopes due to the story of the venue. The entire evening started off on the wrong foot. We were given a table in their most awkward location that would have the staff and other patrons walk right past us at an already small table. We ordered their cocktails, Elvis and French 75. Elvis only tasted like PB Whiskey and the French 75 only had Champagne. Neither drink was good. We had the 8 course preset menu with theater tickets afterwards. The brussel sprouts was the best followed by their mushroom soup. The wonton was overcooked, the scallop and steak were were not seasoned and the carrots were bitter. Unfortunately I cannot recall the other items as it was underwhelming. The service was good and the atmosphere was cute. We did not stay for the dinner show as we were on our anniversary and given separate sitting options for their couches, which I declined. The other sitting option were hard chairs at another awkwardly placed table. I would not recommend this venue and was disappointed since the story of sisters are owners is so compelling.

I found this place was a little difficult to find at night and if you miss the turn into the parking lot, just do a U-turn and go back on the freeway. The Google maps might suggest another route but it is not a good route. My husband and I came here with a Groupon and we had a good time. The food was okay and the service was awesome. I had the chicken and my husband had the steak. We were both fairly pleased with our selections. After dinner, we opted to stay for the play. The Neanderthals Next Door was being staged, and it was very entertaining with good use of the space and a very homey type atmosphere. The sofas were quite comfortable and almost every seat offered a good view of the stage. The acting was great and we laughed a lot. It was a nice way to spend an evening.

My boyfriend and I went here for Thanksgiving dinner and what a disappointment. We made reservations several days in advance and bought a Groupon. Our table was a small two-top that appeared to be stuffed into a spot it shouldnt have been. I had waiters and customers brushing elbows with me all night and worried about getting something spilled on me all evening. BUT thats nothing compared to the disgusting food. First course, corn fritters? There were two tiny lumps of hardened fried corn meal with a sauce. Next was sweet potato soup, which ALMOST spilled all over my lap when the twelve year old food runner brought it to our table (several of those almosts). The soup was luke warm but tasted ok. Next they brought pork belly and I almost threw up (truly). The fat was not cooked and it was lumping out and running all over my plate. White, lumpy fat. It was disgusting. Next, main course! My bf upgraded his meal to steak ($75!) and I got the Chicken Wellington which was subpar. It was cold, mushy, and barely any actual chicken that I could see. Dessert was pie and we were told we didnt get to choose which kind. They brought pecan pie (which we wanted!) It was SO hot that my bf actually blistered his tongue. We cut our pies up and waited for them to cool down but ended up asking for a box to take them home. Got home and they were hard as a rock. Thats what happens when you burn sugar and try to mass bake individual pies. Clearly no one had any idea what they were doing in the kitchen. Last came the bill. The server weirdly told us gratuity has already been included, I already pushed enter for you. ...huh? What? $30 automatic gratuity for two people. This must be a joke! Ive worked in food service and we would NEVER add gratuity on to a two top. Just never! We didnt get an option to change it, either. So, our bill with gratuity was $180 for two people. It was gross food and the atmosphere felt similar to a run-down Joes Crab Shack. It was just BAD. And then to top it off, you spend that much money and they charge you for each individual soda and each coffee. Just no. What a terrible experience. This place needs to just not do holiday meals. Period. And the fact that the owner gets on and makes snarky remarks to patrons here is so tacky. We arent lying about our experiences! Your establishment was so falsely advertised and overpriced, it feels like a scam. And several other have said the same. ***AVOID THIS PLACE***

The food and service was AMAZING! I think my server was Mary? Its not her fault I dont remember names, its just a thing. Sometimes I call my son my dogs names and it takes me a few times to get it right (I have to go through the list). Anyway, she had a trainee with her and her trainee was incredibly nice as well. I tipped well over the norm in hopes it was shared. Im not a vegetarian but my partner is, and we both appreciated all of the options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! I loved the laid back atmosphere but it still felt high class - the plating of the dishes were beautiful! I left most of my scallop risotto for leftovers (I ate the scallops!) since I had stomach surgery a few years ago, there was no way I could eat all of it. I ACCIDENTALLY LEFT MY LEFTOVERS IN THE HOTEL FRIDGE. Im going to cry about it for a few days but Ill recover. That was my favorite part of the whole meal. Ill have to come back (I live in NB but my date does not). Thank you for a great experience and a lovely date with someone that I havent seen in over 15 years

Simply put their food is not good. I do not recommend coming here for the food. I came for a murder mystery event with my wife and we spent about 100 each. We started with the empanadas. This first course was soggy and bland. Way too much sauce around the empanada and the sauce was bland too. The inside of the empanada reminds me of a nasty frozen burrito warmed up in the microwave. The second course we had tortellini. Now they don t tell you this beforehand but they will charge extra if you want chicken or shrimp with your tortellini. So the waiter will end up asking what protein you want without you knowing it s being charged. I got the shrimp and my wife got the chicken. My wife tried a bite of both and could not stomach even the proteins! The part that should be simple in our opinion. Again it was bland to me, both the chicken and shrimp. The tortellini was so mushy due to the sage cream that didn t add anything but the taste of pure sage, masking the ricotta and destroying the simple tortellini pasta goodness. To make this course better I wish I had someone to confer with but I wish they made this dish with a dab of sage cream instead of the whole bucket. The final course was dessert. We ordered the dragonfruit (strawberry) sorbet and apple crumb cheesecake. That sorbet was so delicious I could order 10! Finally something they got right. They top off your sorbet with a real slice of strawberry and a dollop of whipped cream. It was not sour or fruity but just perfect. The cheesecake I can barely attest to because I rarely like any that I eat but this one was far too cheesy. I love to eat the crust though so on this particular slice I was hoping for some saving grace for those of you that share my opinion. I took a small bite and thank goodness the crust was perfect with the tiny bit of cheesecake center. All in all don t come here for the food with their small menu that mostly disappoints. The staff I give a 7 out of 10 for being average. No special skills but they also were not rude. Just a young wait staff that was probably paid the minimum. Vegetarian options: There are very few options for vegetarians

Theres an interesting blend of classy and casual. I think this is a great concept and establishment operated by hard-working and talented women. Bright spot: The food was very enjoyable and the food service was quite good! Difficulties: 1- Our mom prepaid for the 3 course option, but the waiter informed us it was an 8 course experience. Since mom booked it, we werent aware of the discrepancy, and so nobody thought to dispute this. When it came time to settle up, there was a $500 surprise waiting for us. Its expensive enough without that bomb. 2- Make sure you know the content of the show youre watching. i.e. dont assume that its appropriate for younger audiences without double checking. 3- get into the theater early if you want comfortable seats. I was stuck on the end of the back bench with one cheek hanging on. 4- the show was not a great choice either. Big Boom Theory. Its an absurdist style where the 4th wall is broken immediately and frequently, and the content matter was highly sexual, prompting warning #2. Additionally, political discussion is sometimes included, and I will be happy when I can go see some kind of performance without it. 5- air conditioning. not great. 6- acting performance. theater students. yep. they sure are.

You get a packet with your back story and a to do list of things to mention, find out, or people to seek and talk to. You have money so let your imagination go wild! Bribery, theivery and pay offs happened all around lol! Over dessert, you get to check out more clues and put your vote in on who dun it. A few wonderful prizes were handed out at the end. I would highly recommend this to anyone! It was fun, tasty, something different and nice to get to interact with new friends. **Murder Mystery Dinner Review** I have been dying to try Sylver Spoon for a while. December 2022, I finally booked a reservation for a Christmas Themed Murder Mystery Dinner. OMG it was a blast!!! I (7 months pregnant at the time) invited my husband, sister, and brother-in-law for a night of dinner and fun. When we checked in with the host, we were handed envelopes with our character, a quick synopsis of our story, and instructions. Everyone plays a part in the murder mystery dinner and the culprit could be anyone among you. Participation is key, expect to have a busy dinner talking to everyone in the room. My group and I had so much fun, we were laughing the whole time, and we enjoyed the whole experience. The tickets to the Murder Mystery also included dinner (with optional add-ons to pay for) The dinner was wonderful, I have never had Brussel sprouts that taste THAT good! At the end of dinner and the Murder Mystery, there were awards given out to some of the best performers and best dressed patrons that took their character seriously. My husband won one of the awards and we got free theatre tickets for Sylver Spoons productions. We are excited to go back for another experience!

We played Bingo with other customers and that was fun. Our waitress was pretty good and attentive. Downsides are there are loads of spiderweb on the handrails coming up the entrance ramp. When you get to the top there are tons of wasps. The booths could be made to look nicer. The place needs a little sprucing up, especially for the price point. But overall a good experience. This place was crazy expensive, especially during a recession! We went for a Halloween event but we understood they had other dinner options and that the special dinner they had that night was optional. No it wasnt! That $40 full course meal for 1 was all they allowed u to order! Not cool! We didnt expect to shell out that much per head, in addition to paying for the movie. The ramp going in was unstable and needs work and a paint job! The staff couldnt get the projector on the patio to work so those of us that wanted to sit outside had to squeeze into small couches with everyone else. Very awkward to sit that close to people you dont know. The place looked old and beat up. The food was ok and Im glad I got a burger! It was the only portion big enough to justify $40. My cousin was not happy with her cuisine. Cuisine is more for art than feeding the hungry. Food not worth the price, movie area was too close to others, they should get real seats. And fix that ramp! I got a gift card but dont really wanna go back to use it. Well see.

Update on second visit: Went for a Mother s Day treat and it really just burned a hole in my pocket. It was a $260 experience for 2. Keep that in mind. That took away from a lot of it. For the price paid you d expect the inside to look like a five dining experience, but inside looked more like an outdated diner. It was busy. People coming and going from another area outside. There are no curtains to block the sun. Rather miserable sun glare. I told them about the lobster being raw. To Two people. Not one person cared or addressed the issue. Just a smile and an uneasy laugh. Pretty sad for a $15 upcharge. I really expected for it to be cooked. They have an odd menu. It s hard to figure follow. Mostly different packages. Hard to buy al-a-cart and know what you d be spending. It almost seems designed that way. The show was nice. They did a good job. It was funny. It s a unique experience. There was a singer the night we went. He was entertaining. The music made communication with your date or wait staff difficult. For the price of it. I doubt we ll be back. This was our second time. Our first visit was better. Maybe it was the thrill of something new. The second visit. The thrill has worn off. Initial experience: We finally got to experience this unique place. It was great. We were celebrating my wife s birthday last night. We chose the 8 course epic. No decisions needed for this. It s great if you are indecisive. In our experience all of the courses were amazing! (A little on the small side. I think if they added bread or something like that as at least an option it could be improved, especially at the price.) Each plate was elegantly put together. Perfect timing between each course. My wife opted for the wine pairing as well. Each glass was perfectly paired. I tried a little as we went. It s hard to pick one favorite. I know hers was tomato soup. I think mine was the scallop risotto. All were great. Keep in mind that the listing on the 8 course meal changes. Probably need to speak up if you had your heart set on anything specific. We were very happy with what they had on the course last night. There was an event going on, a little unexpected, to be right near the big event where a guy was guiding sone sort of 60 s murder mystery with a microphone. Didn t ruin our experience at all. There s an amazing beer and drink menu. I had a hard time deciding as there were so many I wanted to try. I enjoyed the watermelon cider, ginger beer and a sour sherbet. Each was great. The service was very high class with friendly and responsive servers. They were friendly and helpful the entire time. Our drinks and water was full the entire time. Never empty. As part of our package we had tickets to the theater as well. Oh my that did not disappoint at all. It s set in a very cozy environment with couches and sone chairs. Glad we were sone of the first ones there, to pick out seats. The show was funny! It was a cute show. I could tell the actors and actresses were devoted to putting on a good show. It was a great experience. I think we will definitely be back. We had opted for the full package. This would be great night out with friends for drinks and the show as well.

When we first saw that this was at the Texas ski ranch. We were a little concerned. But what a surprise. Went to the Sinatra tribute show. The entertainer was amazing. Not only his voice, but his showmanship was top notch. The food was incredible. The service was great. I love that it s a family owned place. Even one of the owners 11 year old sons was helping out. And he was adorable. Can t wait to go back. Vegetarian options: Had the vegan meal . Really yummy roasted veggies, coconut rice and a pineapple chili oil sauce. I am a vegetarian not a vegan but this was so good. Had the peanut butter torte for dessert which was outstanding!

First time here. Their 4 course dinner was an absolute SCAM. Started off with what was advertised as a Colossal Shrimp Cocktail. What we got was 2 regular sized, room temp shrimp sitting in a bit of cocktail sauce. Not a shrimp cocktail and not even served in a cocktail glass. 2nd course was a Burrata Caprese Salad. What we got was mostly nasty arugula (which isnt even in a caprese salad) with 2 tomato slices and a lump of burrata cheese. For the main course, my wife had the Lobster Thermidor which was literally just an unseasoned lobster tail split in half with absolutely no sauce. Plain as can be. Definitely not Lobster Thermidor. My poor wife had to work hard to scrape out as much lobster meat as she could get from the lobster tail. My dish was dry, but the only thing good about it was the sauce. For the last course, the chocolate cheesecake was probably the best thing we had all night, unfortunetly. All of this for a whoppingly overpriced $150 on food alone. Definitely not worth it - their profit margins must be sky high from misleading people. We got 2 drinks each and the gratuity they added on top of that the - entire bill was around $240! Ridiculous! We feel so scammed and will definitely not be returning. Beware of this place. They seem to have mastered the art of scamming people and squeezing as much as they can out of you.

Wished I took pictures but we attended tonight for the mystery dinner and show for our anniversary. I was surprised when they mentioned we are part of the show, not what I was expecting. (The hubs knew). We had a great night with some really great food. I ordered the roasted chicken with potatoes, it was juicy and full of flavor. My husband ordered the steak and he was happy with his meal. I didnt get to sit long and eat since I needed to find out who killed the bride. Really fun night, its a great way to meet people and literally be involved in solving a murder. I wanted to stay longer but it was a Sunday night and we were driving back to San Antonio. I would ignore the negative reviews from some folks and try it yourself with your partner. Its really fun participating in a crime theater with dinner. Staff was amazing and really helpful in boxing up our food since I was too busy making memories.

The seating is quite uncomfortable. We were in a booth and the back has no cushion with a hard bar running across the top. Uncomfortable for the back. The venue for the NY show was not very accurate. On line and on the ticket said 5 course meal at 8pm with show and champagne at 11:30. Apparently there was more than one show. We got seated at 9pm show so were done by 10;15. It was a long wait to close out bill and no champagne. We were not about to wait over an hour just for that. Plus no where to wait. Another show was starting. Seating in show area not too comfortable either. We got stuck in chairs not a sofa. Actors were fantastic. Again they didnt worn us that they work for tips only. I had paid for the show so not sure where that money goes to. Some noise interference from kitchen/dining area. The food was phenomenal! Would I go back? Yes. Knowing what to expect now will not set me up for any dissapoint.

So lets address the one thing no one has mentioned in a review. They do not have a liquor license, but the menu has cocktails listed. No mention of using wine based liquors, in cocktails like whiskey Mules and French 75s. Also a bit of a bait and switch with the menu online and the menu when you arrive was different. Items had changed based on availability and upcharge on Filet that was not mentioned on the website. Positive notes: Staff was friendly and attempted to remedy the issues. Also the play after diner was very good. Didnt give less than 3 stars due to the positive notes and some of the dishes being well balanced. I plan to try them again, but would do so not on a holiday, and definitely would skip the cocktails. Dietary restrictions: Accommodated for shellfish allergies. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps from the parking lot to the restaurant.

My spouse planned a nice evening here with dinner and a show. We had a great time! For my 3-course meal I had the wontons, chicken wellington, and carrot cake. The wontons were delicious! The chicken wellington was tasty, as was the cake. I was STUFFED by the end and I only sipped on water to avoid getting full on drinks. My spouse booked dinner two hours before the play, and it was plenty of time to finish dinner and move on over to the show. We had about 45 minutes inbetween, but that time is easy to fill if youre in good company and maybe having some drinks. We watched Love Birds and it was such a fun show! As a creative person myself, I had a blast. Some scenes were played out among the audience seating area and the cast interacted with the audience here and there. I didnt think the material was too vulgar but they did give a heads up before the show for anyone that might be sensitive to certain language or topics. I appreciated the female lead characters life choices and her not simply becoming a supporting role to the male lead (thats the best I can think to describe my appreciation without giving away too much of the plot). I absolutely recommend this place for a night out to do something unique. We already plan on coming again for a murder mystery dinner.

The food, staff, and atmosphere are an easy 5 out of 5 stars! However, I m giving it a 4 because there was an extremely rowdy group of (increasingly drunk) women who were getting out of control. We were seated on the complete opposite side of the restaurant and they were repeatedly laughing, clapping, and making a scene and bothering patrons seated in all different areas of the dining floor. There was even a moment when they stood up to take pictures and took turns putting their hands on the breasts of one of the group s guests! I really think Management should have stepped in and told them to restrain themselves or they would be excused from the restaurant. My four stars is only for that, because Management could have made the experience for everyone else much nicer if they had handled this group.

We were looking for something different to do this past weekend (Nov 19th) and came across the Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater. We made reservations online for Dinner to be followed by their current live theater production Love Birds that is advertised as every Friday and Saturday in November and December with the caption Enjoy Dinner Followed By our Live Theatrical Production - I just checked and its still posted exactly that way. We showed up for dinner at 6:30 per our reservation and we finished eating and were expecting to move into the theatre for the show. Our waitress came to the table with two tickets for the show and said they are good anytime and dont expire, BUT there was NO SHOW THAT NIGHT because someone was out of town and we were not informed until the end of dinner. We were astounded and the staff were unable to do anything - no refunds no nothing. So, here we are with two tickets to a future show that we have to drive back over there to see. Very disappointing evening. Its a shame because the food was actually quite good.

I have tried this place at least 3 times. My friend and I even joined the wine club briefly that they offered. Food has potential but it is pricey and the quality is hit or miss. I have never attended the theater shows so I cannot speak on that aspect. The waitstaff has always been good. I was thoroughly disappointed in the wine club as I never got anything near the styles I requested...i.e Moscato, rose or sweet/dessert wines. I usually ended up with non-sweet or very dry wines. The location is slightly awkward to get too but the ski area view is neat. Personally, I tried to like it but I just cant get behind it.

I have held off on this review - so I could remain as objective as possible. I held my nursing school graduation celebration here. And the indication was there were to be 50 to 100 people but the agreement was that if it was significantly different we would adjust accordingly. I asked for a dinner type menu. Initially I was fine with the dinner options. Then I was offered a more buffet style spread that would be refilled I stated I wanted more substance as I had told my guests dinner would be served. This is where it went south. The day of the event only a small table was set up and single serving plates essentially and a few bowls of yellowed dry salad was brought out. The 40 guests in total including myself, would go up and inevitably food would be empty. Then there was ample time in between where the table was empty of food short of the dry nasty salad. Numerous times I spoke with the wait staff and they did their best to get the kitchen to serve additional items but it never seemed that we were a priority. Although my guests spent plenty on drinks in addition to what I was already paying. At the end I was forced to pay nearly 2000 dollars (not including what drinks were purchased separately which I am confident was significant) for what is seen in the photos. I had to sit and discuss for nearly 2 hours at the end of the evening . Why this made no sense. I was told by the owner who was not on site that she had staffed and prepared food for 100 guests. Well my contention is HAD that been the case I would have had guests who all left satisfied with the food served to them, And I would have had plenty of food left over. Not to mention the space by FIRE CODES was in no way capable of handling that many people. We were pretty cozy with the amount we had On top of this even the water ran out and was empty. At the end I left with two containers of gross salad and some pasta . I was offered some gift cards that I can return and use 4 separate times because there is a limit and they cannot be used together. However after feeling like I was basically robbed and had to end what was one of the most important days of my life on a huge negative note - please explain why I would want to return !? This was just such a disappointment and I should have heeded the warnings from others who stated that the owner tends to pad the bill and overcharge /. That is PRECISELY what happened I was completely robbed by being forced to pay for something I never received. The excuses I kept getting were all very weak. Including a comment about supposedly charging for the space etc. well if that were the case that should have been stated up front but it never was. I was also told there were 3 other parties so they couldn t do more. Well then why agree to book what you can t accommodate ? You admitted you failed me and then charged me anyhow ? The highlight only is that the wait staff was kind and helpful and also were very concerned about the lack of food the entire evening and tried to help. But clearly their hands were tied ! Even they know I was ripped off and admitted it. Absolutely shameful ! All of it. Never again. Do not Recommend and it s easy to see why they are struggling !!

UPDATE Below because the owner is attempting to slander us, and our reviews. Which is testimony to how she operates. Beware! Had an event and reserved with food for 100 people. The food was extremely slow to come out. We had 40 people and there wasnt enough food for them. For a reservation of 100 with 40 showing, food should have literally been falling off the tables. For 100 people 4 plates, not trays, plates of Mac and cheese, one chicken bites, 4 pulled pork Rangoons, salad for days, but no dressing. Two plates of chicken nuggets, two deli meat trays that lasted 10 seconds. 4 small buckets of French fries. Im missing some of the items, but not many. At best 4 people could get food before it was gone. Staff was amazing, and apologized for the lack of food. Staff was also attentive which is the only reason we paid the gratuity. The owner did reduce the fee to 75 people, however we should have had food for the 100 available, much less for the 40 that showed up. The deck we were on wasnt even legal per fire code for 100 people. Attached is the table, the ONLY table that had food with only two plates removed. UPDATE: because the owner replied to my wifes review here as well. We stayed an additional two hours because we were arguing with the owner over what we should pay for a total lack of food for our group. At 930 PM after repeating there wasnt even enough food for the 40 guests, the owner offered to make more food. What good does it do at this point? Yes my wifes CC was declined for security reasons because of the purchase amount. However when we found out it couldnt be resolved immediately, I used my card and it wasnt a problem. (Not that thats even relevant to how little food was available.). On that note, the owner also attempted to not credit us our $200 deposit. Making comments, on a review, that the customer may not have been able to pay is outright slander and woefully untrue. The owner is lucky we didnt just leave and make you take us to court. Unfortunately, the owner doesnt follow in her staffs footsteps, and has decided to passive aggressively slander and discount our reviews, instead of trying to correct this before court. I caution EVERYONE to be extremely careful when dealing with this business. Added pic of statement because now the owner claims we only paid $800. The larger was $200 more because she forgot we paid a deposit, so part of the two hours later was getting that removed. The smaller is a bar tab for... Soda and tea.. that wasnt included.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I attended a party here for a nursing graduate and the food was really aggressively mediocre, the salad was browned and old when it came out and everything else that came out was over sauced and lacking in flavor. I have worked in the service industry and catering for years and the quality of the food served was maybe a two out of ten. Not to mention the lack of safety for keeping food the proper temperature in the sweltering heat was incredibly disturbing. No ice baths for things to be kept cool and the food was placed family style on regular sized dining plates, no warming trays or large style trays were brought out to keep the food at the correct temperature for SAFETY. No wonder I woke up the next day with incredible stomach pains. THE WORST PART OF THIS SITUATION? They charged the invitee for 100 people when 40 attended maybe. Which is a ridiculous price for the food that was actually given, I witnessed a very small amount of food come out the whole night. Many people commented on it and the owner did nothing but argue when the complaint was made and then offered to make more food after everyone had already left. Why would they make more food and essentially lose money if you were claiming what was served was sufficient??? If this isn t proof of her doing wrong and just wanting the money I don t know what is. Why would you offer to make more food if you are claiming already what was brought out was the amount requested?? This just blows my mind. The kicker was that she wasn t even there the whole day yet claimed that the food brought out was sufficient. I would say stay FAR away from this place, unless you want to throw your money away. The one positive thing is the staff, they were friendly and even agreed that the whole situation was ridiculous. I just pray that the owner doesn t treat her staff as inconsiderate as she does her customers, which I m sure isn t the case with my experience in the industry.

My hungry children were very cranky because they couldnt even provide the basics of what was agreed upon. Good luck staying afloat with that kind of attitude.

The food was really good. We each had drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert. We tried the Filet and Scallops. Super delicious. We chose to stay for the show after dinner. It was an original comedic play that lasted one hour. It is not kid friendly as they curse and discuss adult topics. It was hilarious and the actors did really well. We hope to return again to see the continuation of the story. The actors are local and get paid by tips. I absolutely recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed dinner and the follow-on play. Do NOT let the exterior fool you. The food was absolutely incredible, the ambiance relaxing, and every member of the staff (including the chef) were friendly and focused on providing first-rate customer service. The play afterwards was awesome. Unbeknownst to us, the staff also double as cast members, and their acting skills were unbelievable. The play was raw, witty and very entertaining and the theater was small and very private. Overall, it was one of my top five dining experiences ever! Make reservations and go check this place out...you will not regret it.

BAIT AND SWITCH!!! We prepaid for the Valentines Dinner - online it didnt mention that two of the items were going to be an extra $15 each until we sat down. Then on top of that, they changed the appetizer that Ii was looking forward to with 6 tiny pieces of Brussel sprouts. Not even full ones, but halves and they were spread all over the plate with tons of balsamic to appear it was a good size. VERY small. The soup that it came with - Tomato Basil. Literally tasted like pasta sauce. Zero basil, and the texture and flavor was something you could just put on pasta. Very disappointed. Then we hoped and prayed our food would be better. NOPE! I ordered the salmon (brown sugar glaze) - no brown sugar flavor anywhere, served with al dente rice (i dont like rice chewy - but maybe some people do) and pineapple. This dish wasnt awful. My husbands however was missing food! Literally the tiniest wing of duck you can imagine. He got 5 tiny little bites, with barely any sweet potatoes (which they dont tell you is mashed up with 3 small Brussel sprouts) I ended up having to share my Valentines day dinner with my husband because we both were so hungry. We of course wanted the other items, but we were not going to pay an additional $30 when we already paid online $130! $130 for pasta sauce in a bowl, small bits of Brussel sprouts, and a shared entrée. Then the dessert came. That was fine. Delicious actually. Our server... Not sure who it was really. So many different servers came by - which i like sometimes, but this time it was tough to figure out. At the end, he came up to us (no actual itemized receipt just some old looking hand held computer and shoved it in our face say we owed another $25 for wine. Which is fine. But he never gave us a receipt for anything! Then....he had the nerve to say.... just so you know gratuity is not included. wow. We are not cheap scum but for our first Valentines as a married couple we sure felt like it with small portions, over priced entrees and squished seating. One table was literally a half of foot away from the hostess table. The tables were just on top of one another. All the hostesses - they dont wear the same things, so you have no idea who anyone is, and most of the ladies were wearing skirts so high that you could see everything. Not exactly something a guest would be comfortable with seeing while they eat. We wont be back. I am sure others have had better experiences, but Valentines failed us - miserably.

I ve always enjoyed every experience I ve had at Sylver Spoon until this last one. 3 course lunch is over at 3pm which we were not informed of. So our $25 3-course lunch changed to $35. We both ordered the tortellini and added the chicken as we both always do, and when our tortellini came out it was served with 1 dried up chicken tender sliced into small pieces. We then asked the server why we did not receive the grilled bone-in chicken we have always gotten with this and we were advised that they were doing away with chicken as lamb had been added to the menu. $6 for a dried up chicken tender was extremely disappointing, it did not go well with the tortellini. Hoping this will be re-evaluated as the chicken tender being the low quality it was, should not be an additional $6. Bring back the bone-in grilled chicken, if not, please advertise you re serving a chicken tender on your menu. Again, very disappointing.

In response to their response: DISASTER Clearly they take things too personally, and they dont get the market they aim to satisfy. Decreased to 1 star; I dont anticipate theyll stay open for long. Mixed feelings The food is mediocre to say the least. They used wilted spinach in the salad, what they call the scallop risotto was a rice paddy with 3 scallops on top and they charged $15 extra for that single fact (!); the flavor was good though, i have to admit. The steak was served with a cool presentation idea but way under-seasoned, which I despise every time it happens in a restaurant. Drinks too sweet, mediocre. Dessert mediocre. The theater performance was fun at times, but too vulgar for me. Theyre supposed to be theater major graduates but it was still kind of raw, in my opinion. Keep working! The idea behind the place is cool; I just think the execution needs much more work than youre putting in now.

This weekend my sister and I attended a cookie decorating class by Kathy and Sherry. We were able to get away from the kids and have some fun one on one time ! The class was nearly 40 minutes late to get started but the weather was awful (wet, cold, rainy) and to accommodate for the late arrival the entire class was given a few charcuterie boards and champagne and wine for it. My sister and I shared the lunch 3 course option and had several drinks. I am already hoping to go back very soon ! The atmosphere was very inviting. An entire wall of windows overlooks a small body of water which I assume to be part of Canyon Lake possibly ? I definitely recommend this place, I would say it s not very kid friendly and would honestly appreciate others wouldn t even attempt to bring their kids as this is a venue geared more towards catering to adults having a good time. CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK! Mia was our server and she was great !

Risotto was mush saturated in butter, scallops definitely Chili s quality or less. Salad had the cheapest Mozzarella very amateur. All salads were very poor renditions of recipes, could have done better at home. Salmon under cooked Rice hard and stuck into a ball. Deserts took a couple of bites and couldn t do it. Stayed in Wimberly, Texas. My sister found this place for dinner and a cute show after. We were happy with our drinks and service. However the food. All meals were delish! Some were sorta cold as if they were sitting waiting on the others to come out. However for my appetizer I got the Meatballs. 30-40 minutes into our entree and meal in all I started to feel nauseous and began to feel feverish. I could hardly enjoy my dessert without having to run back and forth to the bathroom. I had to sit in the car and wait for my party to finish. They saw a few minutes of the show before I told them I felt very ill and there was no way I could sit in the car any longer to wait. Highly disappointed I didn t get to see the show myself. Soon before we were about to pull out of the parking lot I had to jump out and vomit. It was clearly something I ate as I had been fine all day. The only thing my party did not try that I ordered was the Meatball app. They did look a bit pink but I didn t think anything of it. Day 3 and I am sick as can be with food poisoning and cant eat. Just check your food to be cooked all the way. Not sure if they told anyone but heres my review for it.
