I found it nice at night with the small stores and cute lights, but trying to move around with a baby stroller was a nightmare since there are no sidewalks in most of the town. You have to literally walk on the road with cars around. Very dangerous at night.

Gruene has a few cool places to visit, especially if you are from out of town. Parking can be easily had in the big lot, just a short walk away from stores and restaurants. Mozies bar and grill is a hidden gem that made honerable mention in the TEXAS MONTHY magazines annual best burgers in Texas article.

I use a scooter to get around because of a handicap. There were very few places that accommodate wheelchair type vehicles. I found myself having to sit outside of the store while my family shopped. That is the only downside I found. The things you can find here to purchase are nice. My daughter loved the coffee!
