Is this where the old spot club on 18th street ended up? We came here bc my recently diseased parents would go to the old spot club! Not the same crowd! Now is mostly working class from the surrounding Hispanic majority neighborhood! Lots of patos and hood rats in there. We were definitely not welcome even told to go back to 18th street or Washington avenue! The men hitting on our females friends even trying to take them into the restrooms by force against their will! Drugs everywhere! Yes drugs everywhere! Never again! Ruined our night.

I usually go on Fridays sometimes it packed but its an older atmosphere late 30s early 40s crowd and the DJ knows so he plays 90s 80s muisc. My only complain is the parking it kinds sucks.

Cat was my bartender tonight. Super attentive, welcoming, and amazing. Came for Karaoke tonight and was blessed with really great service from drinks, patrons, and the DJ. Will be back, definitely come here when Cat is bartending; you wont be disappointed:)

I went in this place on Saturday for the first time. Hell no amigo! The bar manager was wasted instigating fights with customers. This guy literally pulled out a gun in the bar!! The bar manager! Drunk! With a gun! Yes, I said that! Stay away!

This is a good spot for a couple of drinks. Theyve got an awesome antique bar that is something to be seen. It makes the light pours more palatable. Ive never been there when the kitchen was open so I cant say anything about the food but its worth stopping by if you have the time.

I love this place. I love the bartenders. I love the food guy when he has a pop up. I love all the people that contribute to the atmosphere, and I met my best friend there! This place has a very special place in my heart. Parking: On weekdays, its fine.. on weekends parking can be problematic, even with the neighboring businesses offering space. Thats fine though, because I dont like being crowded. Most days here are busy enough, but also chill enough.

This place can be cool. Tonight was probably my second time here for karaoke. It was maybe my 5th or 6th time here overall. $4 Lone Star longneck is kinda pricey, but not the worst Ive seen. Clean restroom. Roomy back patio for the smokers.

Came here for a friend s birthday and it s an older generation atmosphere (like mid 40 to mid 50 s type). The music was absolutely fun, the DJ plays music and displays the video of that song on a big projection screen as well. There s pool tables next to other tables where people are standing and sitting so them playing can be in the way of those standing trying to enjoy their time can be irritating but other than that if you like pool, then they have that. They also have some slot machines and darts too. Did not try the food, if they have that.

I gave them a 1star only because of what happened the next day. We had a great Saturday evening enjoying friends, beer, drinks and great music. My friend opened a tab at the bar and they asked her to leave her credit card which is usually what happens at any bar. We stayed until 1:30 am and when we arrived at home she realized she didnt close her tab or get her credit card back. She called and the person answering the phone acknowledged her card did indeed stay behind. She told them she would pass by on Sunday to pick it up. On Sunday morning she was alerted by her bank that someone had made a charge at HEB for over $200.00. When she called back to the bar asking about her card they told her the card was not there after they already acknowledged the night before it was. The owners need to make sure they know the kind of people they are hiring and letting run their establishment. Its sad that we will probably not go back after we had such a wonderful time and had been waiting for quite awhile to find another small bar to enjoy tejano music and an older more mature crowd.

Fast and friendly service, big shout out to Betsy. Pretty darn good selection of beers. Yes, its is the same Spot. New post Covid location. Same great vibe as I understand. The stage and audio look legit. The light rig looks like it gets the job done. The outside stage gets the whole yard to fill. Plenty of seating and dancing room.

The Spot was a fun little place that has an open mic sponsored by Joe Clover on Sunday afternoons. Loved the music. The bar staff was very nice and accomadating. Overall a great experience...but with a recipe of great music, cold beverages and great music lovers surrounding you, it is a combination for success! The Spot is not pet friendly but let me in with my tri-pawed pup. We sat outside and he totally behaved himself. Thanks for allowing us to come in and enjoy the music. I will come again!

Pricing is confusing. Bars are allowed to be open now but theyre still charging things as food/non alcoholic drinks to keep their sales a certain way in order to stay open or follow rules a ($10 upcharge). If thats the case, based on calculations their happy hour prices are roughly $4.93 for a well drink, you could get much cheaper wells in a better environment elsewhere. Our card was charged before we even wanted to close and before we were given a tab (we gave our card to open a tab) and once we noticed, the excuse was the that it was done in such a way because food vs liquor sales needed to be a certain way to keep their certification -- which was understandable when bars were only allowed to be open if their food sales were 51% of their sales but thats no longer the case in Texas. Unless youre already a regular I dont really recommend this place. Youre welcome to view my review history and youll notice Im not the type of person to leave bad or low reviews, so take my my word as youd like. James the cook was great though. I thought the apology had been deleted but it hasnt, Ill leave it at 2 stars
